Love these guys!They're the real deal, If they say they're going to do something it gets done!Dropped off my excavator for repairs and they had it fixed in no time! They definitely have a good group of people up there all around!

I'm new in the area. Hard to find a mower repair shop in Williamsburg. James River repaired and did an annual service on my 22 inch Honda self propelled mower. A little pricy but everything is going up in price quickly. Repairs are fine and mower runs well. Service desk was friendly and helpful.

I dealt with both sales and service. My old Honda mower now runs like new. Had a warranty issue with a new Honda mower that was taken care of efficiently. Everyone I encountered in theToano dealership was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only place I ll go for my lawn mowing needs.

Recently had my chain saw evaluated for repair. The cost to repair was not worth it because it was to close to replacement cost. The diagnostic cost was $42.50. I asked the service person if I purchased a new Stihl today (now) would they waive the diagnostic cost. They checked with sales manager and the answer was no. The replacement saw was $629.99. This should have been an easy deal! One would think. Especially the week after new years. Not sure why they would let me walk out of the store. They must not need the sale.Service team tried to support me, they are super helpful and very friendly.

First time getting my mower serviced since purchasing at JRE in Toano, VA. Very professional, but personal experience. Quick turnaround and very friendly staff. I will be back and will be recommending others to this JRE location. Thank you John Swineford & Veronica Curtis!

Not sure about the the rest of the JRE stores but couldn't a better group of sales people and techs! John Deere is a name that's been around for a long time and the lawn keeping equipment is top of the line,same goes for Stihl products!

Dale did a great job both educating us and putting together a pretty good deal on a tractor. He even took the time to teach us newbies how to use it without getting ourselves hurt.

Salesman had no clue on the sxs we were looking at. How are you going to sell a 2, almost 3 year old sxs for the same price as a new one? He called back to knock off a little but by then we were already down the road

Amazing customer service. This is my first purchase of major yard/agricultural equipment, and the sales staff and maintenance staff have gone over and above for every interaction I ve had with them. Traditional customer service is not lost on this group. They earned a customer for life.

From 5 stars to 1 star, incredible how they messed up with my saw, after like 10 attempts to get a hold of them all they said is they can't get a hold of stihl. When the very first day the guy who took my saw from my hands told me it was under warranty since it was purchased just a few month ago, terrible customer service.

Put my lawnmower in for repair with them. $561 later and after letting it be known the idler pulley needs to be replaced it wasn't done. Got a new belt, new brakes and apparently they called and left me voice-mails however they had the wrong number even after giving them the correct one. Truly disappointed with them and do not nor will I recommend them to anyone unless they make it right.

I walked in for a Lawn Mower, I walked out with an education.Mr. Rob Roberts went above and beyond. He walked me through features, made recommendations, explained the differences, informed me of the warranty coverage, advised that JRE would submit the manufacturer registration for me, told me about all the different service offerings they have, and more. He even entertained me and further educated me on other locally manufactured STIHL products and their Kombi system.Overall, I must say the Rob distinguished himself in customer service, staying more than hour after they closed to wrap up my purchase and answer my many questions, and then helped me load up my new purchase. Customer service, kindness and willingness to work with clients in that fashion is extremely refreshing when other places are looking to kick you out 5 minutes before closing.Outside of the amazing customer service experience, the overall store was great. This is not some HomeDepot yard section, this is the real deal. The equipment they have and knowledge of their staff was impressive. If I had a bigger yard with fewer high grade hills, I may have jumped onto one of their John Deere Zero Turn mowers, man they look good. I tell you what though, if I'm still local and my next property has 1+ Acres, this is where I'm coming to get my equipment. I validated their prices, not only where they the same price as big box stores, but you get excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff, local service for your equipment after purchase, and a decent selection of great equipment. (I saw nothing but quality equipment in there.)Please extend my thanks to Rob Roberts out of the Toano branch, great job, sir!

They are extremely expensive, for repairs. Some of the help is not very helpful. 60 dollars to put a tube in a lawnmower tire that was brand new(2weeks old new ). Buyer beware John Derek products are not what they used to be!!!

I will start by saying I'm disappointed James River equipment has had my snapper self propelled mower since July 13th without any update unless you call a quote of 267 dollars was given to me on July 15 after realizing today July 22 that is a high quote for what repairs in need done when given this quote I was not aware that I was paying for 2 hours of labor for a job that takes less than an hour to complete with a experienced mechanic when discussing this with the company manager Matt he was very rude and arguing with me about how I was not happy about the situation saying that they are not a snapper shop whatever that means considering they told me they could fix it also damaged my mower more while in their shop telling me that I was not going to pay for the damage that was caused by them I beg to differ with this quote Matts lack their of manager skills is one thing James River equipment is another don't take any equipment to this place unless you want to be disappointed

This store and staff are awesome! Just bought a new mower and the process was quick and painless. Salesman was super polite and very well educated on the equipment, making sure I got the right mower for my needs.

My fiancee and I went up there to check out the John Deere's tractor we would like to get later this year. We are buying g a house with hopefully lots of land so we will need a good lawn tractor. My father only owned John Deere's so I figure they have to be good.

I was having a terrible time getting my mower deck straight..missing parts, wrong parts, etc. Ben noticed that I was upset and offered his assistance. He was so very kind. He went above and beyond. I am so happy to say that with Ben s help, my mower is all straight and ready to tackle the lawn. Thank so much Ben!!

Whether you are a homeowner or commercial operator, this store covers all the bases for landscape power equipment & generators with brands like John Deere, Stihl, Honda, and Walker.They've got the full line of Stihl products well displayed including chainsaws, backpack blowers, trimmers, etc. Honda is well represented with their legendary lawnmowers and generators. The massive showroom has lots of space for the couple dozen Johnn Deere and Walker riding and stand-up mowers.A well staffed parts department has you covered with a range of fuel additives, oils, synthetic gas, accessories, and of course repair/replacement parts aplenty.Their service department performs warranty repair and general repairs right there in their own shops.Sales assistance is near immediate and handled by seasoned professionals. Product registration is done on-site, so you can have confidence that your manufacture's warranty is in full force when you walk out the door.A recent hurricane near-miss in search for a generator taught me a valuable lesson in the difference between a full-service store like this vs the big box home stores: here you'll get treated to great one-on-one service, product availability, and peace of mind warranty service. At the big box it was every man for himself.
