The staff at American pride automotive are friendly, helpful, and honest. I had a wonderful experience with them. My car overheated on interstate 64 and I just happened to be lucky enough to get towed to their shop. I live in Texas, and I was well taken care of by these folks. I love the detailed report with photos that they sent to point out any issues with my vehicle. I also appreciate it. I m setting up an Uber ride for me to my hotel or they fix my car. They also made a point to get my car fixed faster since I was traveling through town and not local. I really appreciate them. Highly recommend.

My daughter's car wasn't running right and she took it to American Pride to have them look and it. After diagnosing the problem , they had her back on the road in no time. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. Charlie, the owner and his son were there when we picked her car up and spoke with my daughter on the importance of maintenance and upkeep on her car. I highly recommend American Pride.

This was the best experience. Needed state inspection and they fit me in with a next day appt and were professional, courteous and quick. The waiting area was comfortable, clean and the coffee area was well supplied and a real treat on a rainy, cold day! Kudos!

I have been a client of American Pride for over 10 years and they have always delivered without exception. Whether it be the friendly welcome by my name , the minute I walk into lobby , or the often engaging conversation I have with Kyle while I wait in the lobby.Their expertise is second to none. All of my cars over the years have been serviced by American Pride and not once I have regretted my decision to make them my choice for all of my automotive repair needs .Right when I think they can t get even better, as I get into my car after my oil change , I see this kind note strategically located in my car!If you have never experienced American Pride Automotive , you owe it to yourself to try. This Review is on behalf of my Mom. I simply find it unconscionable to charge anyone $90 to change a halogen low beam bulb on a CRV. It requires about 45 seconds of work, open hood, twist bulb, disconnect bulb, connect new bulb, twist and close hood soccer moms are making you tube videos that are 90 seconds long showing people how. But my mom made a mistake and agreed to it and here we are with a $90 dollar bulb. I m glad she opted not to go with the brakes, pads and rotors for over $700.. Honda is doing them with Honda parts for just over $500. When I called to talk to them about the headlight they defended that price, like actually got condescending on the phone and defended the job as being .4 book hours. I was speechless. Frankly I ve gone there before but I always do my own work when they fail my inspections, but this time they got my mom before I could tell her no. I guess the moral of the story is don t let your loved ones go here unless they know enough about cars to not get swindled. Enjoy the $90! it s the last you will get front my family.

We were at a camp ground and the starter died on my 2007 f150. Called them at 4:30 pm and they said to have the tow company drop it off and they will look at it first thing in the morning. Got the call at 8 with the price, and it was done by 11. since I was still at the camp ground with no way to get there, they brought the truck to me.Bottom line,fair price and excellent service. I could not have had a better experience. Thank you.

On the way to Virginia from Florida, we picked up a screw in a tire. We were fortunate to find American Pride nearby. They took us very quickly, kept us informed as the work progressed, and had us on our way in no time. We re happy to recommend American Pride to anyone.

I am a little surprised and upset at the upselling tactics that were done to me with my first time here I went in for a full synthetic oil change and a state inspection. It was $99 I was called and regrettably gave them the green light for a $65 extra charge than what was quoted for an engine filter replacement. The markup is asinine. Considering I went to the automotive store after they called me. The part is a $15 filter. The labor takes all of 10 seconds (if the hood is open) They also quoted me an extra $60 for a filter I just replaced the cabin air filter. I bought my own and took it out myself at an auto parts store today because it s a $12 filter (which they quoted me $66 for) and a simple ten second process. Upon inspecting my cabin filter, it was just so slightly greyed, and still had life in it. The man that called told me there was something growing on it I didn t see this growth . It makes me think they are just blindly recommending processes that aren t necessary, and it automatically causes me to be dissatisfied and untrusting towards them, which is a shame because the hunt continues for a mechanic I can count on. I don t mind people making money, I m not a cheap person by any means, but give me a break. You guys know that s too much, and a markup like that on something so simple leads me to believe their extremely inflated profit margins matter more than a lasting relationship with their customers. It cost me $165 to figure out that I won t come here again.

I came in for a state inspection and they insultingly gave me a long quote of everything that COULD be fixed at a staggering 5x what I paid for the truck. A 1500 dollar truck just needs a state inspection. Let me just quote him for 6k to fix everything I see wrong with it. NEVER GOING BACK. AND THEY FAILED THE INSPECTION. FOR A CHIP IN THE WINDSHIELD... AND A CHIPPED PASSENGER MIRRIOR WHICH I TECHNICALLY DONT NEED TO PASS IF I JUST REMOVE IT.

Easy scheduling. Detailed feedback. Unfortunately services recommended are excessive and costly. We installed a new cabin filter two days before our appointment and they recommended it be replaced. Those recommendations add up and are not always necessary. Especially on a vehicle that is two years old. It is never as simple as an oil change and tire rotation.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

Very dissatisfied. I was an out of town customer who had a leak in my radiator. They gave me a price for checking the radiator, replacing the radiator and refilling the coolant of over $1600. I called my mechanic back home and he said that was outrageous that it should be $600-$700. They were clearly bilking me because I came from out of town. My mechanic at home told me there was radiator stop leak additive for under $20 which would likely fix the leak. It worked and I drove 15 hours home without an issue.

So first time customer, recently moved to the area.Show up for my inspection appointment, we go through all the standard stuff.In my experience an inspection takes 15-20 minutes.Some 45 minutes into the appointment I get this text with a LONG list of "actions", with the notice of the page of the inspection down at the bottom.The counter agent called me up and tells me the oil is dirty, the air filters are dirty, I need new tires, yadda, yadda, yadda, but I passed the inspection.LOL. I'm so flummoxed by this I just tell him to ring me up. Oh it will take another 10-15 minutes to do a quantity check. I'm guessing that's how long it would take to put the car back together.At no time did I give them permission to take my car apart looking to create work for themselves.This is a serious breach of trust.Never again..._____________________________________In response to the comment:That's an interesting spin on this, but the simple fact remains that you took my vehicle apart without my knowledge or consent.In my little mind, that's inexcusable.

I took my car in for an inspection. American Pride notified me of all issues with an easy to understand text. I confirmed work to be done in the same day. Fast and friendly service. I definitely recommend them.

They do good work but lack of appointment/wait time makes it very inconvenient. They only do drop-off's for some of the most simplest jobs like state inspections and tire balancing. Most people don't have someone available to pick you up and then drop you off.

I had a very difficult job of removing some wheels that were seized on. APA was able to get the job done and change my tires same day. Will surely take my vehicles there again.

The initial customer service was great. I called to make an appointment for a car inspection. Upon arrival, I asked for American Pride Automotive to please check my tire air pressure because my indicator light was on. The nice lady in the front documented it on my file before they took my car back. After the inspection, the tire pressure light was still on and reading the same pressure. My car instantly updates as air is added to the tire, so I knew it had not been completed. After contemplating a little about going back inside for air in my tires, I decided to. I kindly asked the front desk if they added air, and the gentleman stated that the car computer probably didn't update.(A great way to imply that a women doesn't know what she's talking about). He then said that if the light didn't go off AFTER I left, just come back. They completely dismissed my request/concern even after asking again and told me to come back when I was already right there. As a customer, my expectations would have been for my concern to be addressed by checking my air pressure as requested twice!

It was a very good first time experience. My car was taken into the service bays in a timely fashion for a state inspection. The work was completed in a reasonable period of time and the desk personnel were courteous and helpful. I would definitely recommend American Pride to others. Recently picked up my wife s van from American Pride (Toano). I can't say enough about how thorough this team is. They communicate great. When I had my Honda in the shop in June, Will was all over it making sure I knew what was going on with my car when it was happening. This time I had Kaitlin and Kyle, both were fantastic. They explain the inspection, let you know the technician's recommendations, and leave it up to you to decide your path of service. Very friendly and thorough. Got us back on the road quickly and explained everything in detail. Replaced the battery and did a flush of all of the fluids. Was affordable. My experience with American pride has always Ben very professional, and I attribute that directly to Kaitlin at the front desk. If more businesses had someone as articulate as Kaitlin the wold wood move more smoothly. I will continue using American Pride while I live here in Verginia.

Lack of communication, lack of willingness to take responsibility for mistakes with regards to diagnostics. Also if you read their responses to reviews closely you will notice that when dealing with a negative experience, the responder gives a lot of generic lip service without actually taking responsibility for the issue. I would advise anyone considering this shop to do your research.

Great customer service. The two folks at the front service desk are excellent. I just needed a very simple windshield washer part replaced and they scheduled me, ordered the item and called the day before to remind me.
