Wow! What a welcome relief that I've found my "Go-to Auto Shop", and I no longer have to worry about where to take my vehicles for maintenance and repair. For the past 2 years I've taken my vehicles there and recommended others, and we've experienced nothing but excellent customer service and quality workmanship. Most recently, I had an issue with leaking engine coolant (not something you want to play with). I took to David and received my car back. However, I noticed several weeks later that the issue had returned. I took it back with full intention that this issue this would be a new repair order with a new repair estimate - however, I was pleased to learn that David considered this a warrantied item and he was not going to charge for reassessing the issue and repairing it. He personally made sure my engine was pressure tested, and road tested to ensure the issue was resolved. This meant a lot because that showed me this business Values INTEGRITY (Doing Right by People) over Profit. When you call or come in you'll get used to talking with Megan or Daniel and will Always be greeted with compassion and care. You'll also see David (The Owner) who makes it a point to Thank You for your business and who actively Listens to your concerns. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Suffolk Automotive Care.

AMAZING!!! Quick fast and in a hurry! They were awesome. Same day appointment to get a state inspection. This is not a first come first serve basis for state inspections like other places...you can actually get an appointment. The people working here are super nice and very friendly. Normally this is not an enjoyable process but this was a super great experience. Will definitely go back.

I just had the very best service ever here at Suffolk Automotive Service. I drove to Suffolk from Central Texas for a brief stay and I had a check engine light come on. The Suffolk Automotive team really took care of me. They went above and beyond to make sure I get back home safely. I highly recommend Suffolk Automotive for your car care needs.Thank you, everyone! I needed my car inspected today and my brother called ahead and found this place for me. When I called, Dave was expecting me and booked the appointment. Service was fast and staff is very friendly! They even put my new license plates on for me. I will be back for all my needs. 10/10 recommend!

Love the environment, honesty, reliability, and the people (David, Megan, Ron, and another lady I never caught her name). I ve been with them for 4 years and I just moved and really don t want to go to another mechanic. So to everyone in the area SUPPORT LOCAL!

Started hearing a loud noise in my car and was nervous to take it in to get checked. I took my car in Suffolk Automotive and my car was looked at and fixed in the same day! I received a call with a detailed explanation of what was wrong and recommendations moving forward. Everyone was friendly and professional and I was able to leave confident that I was in good hands! Highly recommend!

Wonderful shop, wonderful staff! Megan got me scheduled so quickly for a state inspection, and then for necessary repairs. The owner, David, is extremely kind and accommodating, and the whole teams workmanship is phenomenal. My car has absolutely never run better. Thank you for everything, Suffolk Automotive and team! Dave has been great with all the vehicles we have taken to him! He and his mechanics are friendly and it is nice to be able to speak directly with them rather than going back and forth with a middle person. They are honest and will tell you directly if they are able to fix an issue or not. They have no issues referring you to another reputable mechanic if they are not able to fix what needs to be done and that is much appreciated! Thank you!

Customer service was great walked in when the shop first open needed brakes and front rotor almost went sliding in the building but the did a great job. The wait was not even long at all. I was still able to enjoy my morning.

This shop has good honest techs (David) and Daniel at the counter provides great customer service. If you need an inspection they have convenient scheduling and in 30 minutes you're on your way.

Suffolk Automotive was great. We called at the last minute prior to working out of town for an extended time.They were able to get us in quickly. The gave us an 11:30 appointment. They came to service the vehicle on time. The service here and their reputation is impeccable. If you need your Virginia inspection done, I recommend you tgoing to Suffolk Automotive. I will definitely be returning.

David was absolutely fantastic! I have been having the hardest time getting in for an inspection, and I was so happy to be able to schedule an appointment with Suffolk Automotive. Many other places are so short staffed that they only do same day and first come serve. I unfortunately had to reschedule my appointment due to a work commitment, but the woman on the phone was so sweet and accommodating. She rescheduled me with none of the attitude that is received from other service centers. I came in this morning, and David greeted me with a positive attitude and smile despite the yucky weather outside. This is a bit of a drive for me from Norfolk, so I had originally only planned to get my inspection done here. However, after seeing the team here,I will be coming here for service.

10/10 would recommend! I don t say that for everyone. I called for same day service and they happened to have an opening. I went to Suffolk Automotive Care for a vehicle inspection. It was easy to get an appointment and Megan was very friendly and helpful.My car failed the inspection but they were able to get the parts I needed and David fixed everything and got me back on the road - the same day!I'm glad I found this shop! Great customer service and really quick turnaround time for state inspection with an appointment. I arrived early and was able to get my car inspected a little earlier. UPDATE 10/25/2023: I really thought I found a shop I could be comfortable taking my vehicle to (original, happy review below). After getting my vehicle back from the original repair that I thought was well done, I noticed the bolt was put in backwards which AllData specifically says how to put it in AND WHY but this detail was overlooked. Which sounds petty, however if I m ever in that position again I will be totally screwed due to their lack of attention to detail. They also bent the shield and when I returned and asked them to bend back, they told me it would fall under the $70 diagnostic fee. So I obviously didn t return, as that seemed odd to be charged more than an hour labor for something I already knew AND was their error.Today, I made the mistake of taking my vehicle for a simple oil change and tire rotation. The oil I always do on my own but I no longer have a lift or jacks to do the tire rotation so even though I didn t NEED to pay for the oil change, I chose to anyway. I specified on the phone, and again multiple times at the counter when dropping my keys that instead of the six quarts to only use five quarts and use the bottle of Lucas on the front seat as the sixth quart. They assured me that would be no issue. Apparently it was because they ignored my specific request AND the bottle of Lucas and put in the 6qts anyway. When I asked about the full bottle on the seat, the man just laughed it off and told me to wait for it to leak and then add the Lucas. At no point, while I was visibly and audibly irritated at their YET AGAIN major lack of attention to my vehicle for something SO SIMPLE they had not once offered to correct ANOTHER ONE OF THEIR MISTAKES. I m sure I d have been charged for that, as well. They also didn t reset my oil change light, for whatever reason.If I could give zero stars, at this point I would. I will not return under any circumstances nor will I recommend and will be sure to have others use EXTREME CAUTION for even the most simple jobs if making the same mistake I did by bringing my vehicle here.DO BETTER AND HAVE HIGHER STANDARDS OF WORK!Original:I spoke with a few shops regarding a rough job on my vehicle. Each estimate I got was just stunningly outrageous. As a last ditch effort before ripping into it on my own - knowing full well what I was getting into without the proper tools, I called Suffolk Auto. I explained the situation in detail to David over the phone and got an estimate that was (no exaggeration) almost 1/3 of what everywhere else was quoting me. I was nervous that my dramatic explanation wasn t getting the job description across properly so asked if the technician who d be working on it could run out to the parking lot prior to my appointment to verify they d be able to do the job. The tech had no issues doing so, and right then and there the tech (I unfortunately didn t get his name) and David verified they did have the proper equipment to tackle the job and even gave me the worst case scenario estimate. STILL less than half the cost of anywhere else I spoke with.They were able to get the entire job done in a day with no issues, had excellent communication, and were incredibly friendly throughout the entire process. I have only ever had one person touch my vehicle aside from myself; being in a new area and having to find a new shop to do the rough jobs was quite intimidating, but I am beyond pleased with the entire experience I had with Suffolk Auto. I will happily be a returning customer, and happily recommend them to anyone.Thank you all SO VERY much for taking the stress out of this situation!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I got to meet 3 of the most interesting people. The Receptionist Debbie was just an absolute joy. After speaking to Debbie for just a few minutes, I knew I would enjoy returning to the shop for years to come. A gentleman, a customer, sorry but I forgot his name, was also someone I felt a certain kinship with and will remember him should I ever see him again. He was a salt of the Earth type person and we spoke of by-gone times that we both missed. Finally, the Mechanic/Owner, (I am really bad with names bit I think it was Mark or Mike) he inspected my vehicle, it passed, and he had a small list of things he thought I should be aware of but they were not critical items so, I could put them off if I wanted. He did, however, give me an estimate which at first, I thought was high but after thinking on it a bit it really was reasonable. I only thought it was high because I usually do all the work on my cars, and I didn't think it would take very long to do the work. I am getting older though, and it would take me forever. I have been looking for a mechanic I can TRUST, and I think I may have found that person. Trust does not come easy for me so; this says a lot. I hope everyone will try this small business and give a good referral online. I will return team Suffolk Automotive.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I got my fuel pump replaced by Suffolk automotive care. A week later the fuel pump went bad once again. They did the right thing and fixed the bad part for free(it was under warranty). But they broke my fuel gauge in the process and said they'd fix it, but never did. Also they left my truck for me to pick up in their parking lot after hours. My truck's battery was dead. It's been a terrible experience and waste of time.
