This was my first time having my car serviced at Duke Automotive and I must say I received exceptional customer service. Everyone was really nice. Will checked my vehicle out and updated me on what needed to done. There were no hidden fees and all work was completed within a reasonable amount of time. During my checkout I had card issues, so I left to get cash from the bank. Will and another co-worker (Nice young lady - sorry I forgot her name) stayed after closing for me to return. They could have said oh well, we open tomorrow at ..but they didn t and I thought that was really nice of them.I did have to take my vehicle back because I had the same issue a week after driving. I received my vehicle back in a few days and now 4 days I believe my auto repair has been fully corrected. I understand things happen but it s about how we fix it. It was handled very well.Overall, I still feel good about this experience and I will be returning to Duke Automotive.This isn t my local GMC dealer but I don t mind driving for great service.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

Just like to say that Nancy in service took great care of getting the work done on my care. She wasn t the person I originally talked to but she followed up and got my car in and the work was done quickly and looks great. Her expertise proved to be valuable to me in getting my car back as soon as possible! She also got me a vehicle to drive while the work was being done. When I stopped by this dealership I was originally looking to buy a used car. After looking and test driving some, I eventually bought a new vehicle from here. Overall, I had a wonderful experience! My sales person was Mike Villellla and I would definitely recommend him to family and friends when purchasing a vehicle. Trying to find the right vehicle can be a stressful process, but Mike was respectful, patience and professional. He didn t try to pressure me into getting something that I didn t want, nor did he try fast talking us. I appreciate the service I received. I also had a good experience with Karla Lewis. She processed all my paperwork. She took the time to explain everything and gave me time to read over all documents and answered any questions I may have had. Thank you all for your amazing service! I spoke with Warren the service advisor at the dealership and told him to had to come to Virginia on an emergency and didn t have time to have my oil changed prior to leaving Florida, I was already on 0% by the time I arrive in Virginia. He has super good customer service skills and help me out by working me in and getting me out in less than an hour. I was impressed by how they were able to work with me without having an appointment. Thanks Warren and the service team for taking care of me and my truck. Customer service was great. They called me before performing each service and gave me a price so I could have options. The price he quoted me on the phone was the exact price when I picked up the keys. They completed all the work in one day! The Duke Automotive service representatives were polite and professional. I would recommend their services. I was provided with an accurate time when my state inspection was to be completed. I received a courtesy text message which was good for communications. When I came back to pick up my vehicle it was right at the very front. There are two things I would like to see changed. Having is a sign letting customers getting service where to park. Also, having those that smoke not to be sitting right in front of the service entrance and exit doors so you have to walk in smelling like smoke and same in exiting getting into your vehicle. Maybe there should be a gazebo directing them to go smoke.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I never waited before at the facility when having service in my vehicle but this time I did. I enjoyed their waiting room, it was clean and spacious. They also offer complementary water, coffee and tea. Duke Automotive always does a great job. In this case the problem was my telescopic steering wheel failed within first two years of ownership. Replacement is a GM backlog with no availability date. Duke s GMC Dealership was able to schedule my truck to get my airbag recall completed in a timely fashion. Additionally, the also completed my state inspection, oil change and tire rotation and provided great customer service. They were very accommodating with my crazy and fluids work schedule. He was sweet, funny and I hope he is doing well today after all the craziness with covid. I wouldn t hesitate to go to Duke when I m ready for my next vehicle!! Duke Chevrolet/GMC had my GMC truck there for 12days with an electronic control module (ECM) issue and eventual replacement. Not once did Duke reach out over those 12 days to give me an update or any information. Every time I called to check the status of the diagnosis over those 12 days I was on hold for nearly 30mins on both occasions. Finally when they did call to notify me the work was completed and my truck was ready to be picked up it would not travel above 40MPH of which not one word was mentioned to me. I immediately returned where the associate said it had prior work performed to the truck and they were unable to program my ECM and a third party mechanic word have to do so. Further more I could hear the associate making comments to other employees as if I should had known the truck would not operate correctly after their said performed work was completed. Subpar customer service, Subpar mechanic service simply disclose what you are capable of and what you are not capable of. They took my money told me the truck was operable, and when it wasn t Duke shrugged their shoulders.Service: Auto engine tuning

The staff was friendly, and accommodation, the worked me in to complete my inspection and kept me abreast of what l needed to approve my inspection. I have limited mobility, and have to use a Cain the people were so kind. I am relocating back to Virginia after retiring from North Carolina. I am pleased to report the same excellent service l received from Flow GMC in Fayetteville,North Carolina, l have received excellent service thus far from Duke Automotive of Suffolk, Virginia. This state just had an Ice and Snow and the gentleman that works there.l wish l had asked for there name. He brought my SUV up to the door to reduce my chances of slipping and falling down. This team at Duke Automotive is making my transition easy. Thank you so much for your time and service. I look forward to a long working relationship with you. Today 10/25/2022I went in to Duke Automotive for a Recall item for my headlights. While I was there I also asked if they were able to work me in for an oil change, tbey quickly agreed to accommodate me. I was escorted to the lounge area, and told to enjoy the complimentary coffee and water. While waiting a lady came by poke her head in and thanked us for allowing Duke Automotive to service our vehicles, I was very impressed. The gentleman that completed my intake service work came in giving me an update on the status of my work. He also informed me why they were unable to complete my recall do to water in my headlight, and dull covers. He looked up the part number for me along with the projected price, and labor for Duke Automotive to install, again very impressive. They all were very kind and I left as a satisfied customer. Brought my vehicle in for a tire patch, as I had a nail on the sidewall close to the tread. Left it there all day. When I came back they had not patched it but instead gave me a quote for 4 new tires. Granted, I do need tires but it's not for them to presumeA. I can afford it rt nowb. That I wasn't planning on driving a long distanceMy husband is also a mechanic, he would have personally pat he'd it but we do not have a tire machine in our garage.Thank you Duke for sending on my way without doing what I came to you for.

I brought my Yukon in due to an intermittent issue with the radio screen. They thoroughly troubleshot the issue and couldn t get it to replicate the issue consistently enough to narrow the issue down to a single part. Instead of charging a lot for parts that may or may not be bad, Will agreed to have me bring the vehicle back when the issue is consistent so we identify the correct part and schedule the service accordingly. I appreciate the integrity and willingness to help solve the issue most efficiently.Service: Electrical repair

I was greeted warmly by one of the service managers, then shown where the customer lodge was, which has access to WIFI. I was able to check my email with no issue. I purchased a used car from Duke that upon test driving I noticed a vibration and a noise coming from the front of the vehicle. I bought the car under the agreement that the issue would be found and repaired. I brought the car in for that issue to be investigated and repaired and a detailing inside and out. When I picked up the vehicle they replaced a bent front wheel on the driver side. They mounted and balanced my tire to a new wheel. They stated that I should bring it back if I still find a problem with that front driver side wheel. Going home from Duke I noticed a slight vibration and a rubbing type noise that was present during my initial test drive. I made a second appointment to have it aligned, and to do the 45000 mi rear diff maintenance. After they looked at it the tech nor the service manager found anything wrong with it. They stated it was likely the aggressive tread on the front tires causing the noise. The tires are billed as and reviewed as a quieter tire with awesome handing and a smooth ride. No one ever in my research on this tire says aggressive or noisy. All I was asking for was an alignment to be performed and to repair whatever was making the noise. Even if they are right and it s the tires making the noise, I would ve been fine with that. But because they basically twice refused to do an alignment which would definitely tell me and them what if anything is wrong with my cars front suspension I feel like they know something must be wrong and they just don t want to fix it as agreed. Money is not an issue for me, but feeling safe enough to drive a fast car is important to me, and I will be taking it somewhere else for it s future maintenance including a front end alignment very soon. If the car hit something hard enough to bend the wheel it s safe to say it may need an alignment. My salesperson Al Hicks was awesome, Nancy in service was also awesome, very nice, very professional. It s too bad that this one small thing couldn t get resolved, because otherwise they d have earned my future business for sure.

I purchased my car at Southern GMC Buick and refuse to take my car back there unless absolutely necessary (horrible service).
