My wife and I just purchased a Subaru Ascent Touring and were overwhelmed by the exceptional service. Our experience began with an extraordinary Subaru Team member named Jarvis Gilliam. He greeted us and offered his assistance and then allowed us to look around on our own. When we were ready, we ask him to show us some vehicles. His knowledge of the different models was outstanding! We test drove a couple of different models and landed on the Ascent. They didn't have the color we desired and he got online and found one and had it at the dealership within two days. The Finance Director, Sonny Leynes, was the next breath of fresh air. He clearly was focused on our customer experience and took a turn to ensure we were exceptionally pleased with our buying experience. We wrapped up our experience with Jarvis when we took delivery of the vehicle. He spent an hour or more going over all of the vehicle features with us and setting everything up (phones, apps, etc) to ensure we were able to utilize all of the features our new vehicle has to offer. I would highly recommend this dealership if you or anyone you know is looking for a vehicle. Hands down, the BEST customer service we have experienced.

Marc from First Team Subaru Suffolk made the daunting process of purchasing a vehicle one of the most enjoyable experiences we have ever had. There was ZERO pressure sales tactics used and Marc went above and beyond to locate the vehicle we want, even when there were none in Hampton Roads. Not only did Marc and his team worked hard to put us in the vehicle we wanted, but they were EXTREMELY accommodating at getting us our vehicle within our desired price point. I can t say enough good things about this dealership. If you want a family style experience I highly suggest you stop by First Team Subaru Suffolk and ask for Marc

I have nothing but great things to say about First Team Subaru Suffolk, specifically Jarvis. I arrived late on a Friday night, and he was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the features of Subaru vehicles. I wanted a specific color Crosstrek that wasn t on the dealership lot, and Jarvis worked with his team to get it there in less than an hour. If you are looking to purchase a new vehicle and prefer a transparent, honest team to work with, definitely start here and ask for Jarvis!

I've always dreaded the entire car purchasing process. Nothing was different this time. I dealt with three sales people at other dealerships and was becoming increasingly annoyed by their lack of knowledge of their stock. Then a miracle happened, we met Sade at First Team Subaru Suffolk. Oh, my goodness, what a breath of fresh air. Sade really knows her stuff. She had an informed answer for every single question. She also talked us through every single feature and benefit of the Subaru Ascents we were looking at.We walked into the dealership just thinking that we might buy a Subaru Ascent, and if we were to purchase one, it was going to be a Premium or Limited version. Well, we walked out of the dealership the proud owners of a top-end Subaru Ascent, Touring version.If you are looking for a Subaru (or Kia), definitely go to First Team Suffolk and ask for Sade. You will be blown away by how fantastic she is. She's personable, knowledgeable, and a fantastic salesperson.

Several days ago I came to this dealership to check out some cars I noticed online. I had a really relaxed and pleasant experience the entire time with Chase McCarter helping me out. I ended up leaving with a 22 BRZ and it was a great experience all around! Everyone during the entire process was incredibly friendly and patient with me and I never felt pressured or harassed. I look forward to getting to know this dealership more as I come in for maintenance! Thank you!!

I took my Subaru in to get it serviced here. I was told by Morgan that it would only take 2-3 hours. I dropped my Subaru off at 10:30 in the morning. At 1:00 I had still heard nothing so I called multiple times before I was finally able to get a hold of someone from services. They told me that my lights needed to be replaced and that my car would be done in a couple of hours. No ETA was given. I waited patiently for a call for several hours, by 3:00 I began calling the dealership. I called a total of 13 times before the shop closed. No one ever picked up the phone and it would ring for minutes on end before someone would hang it up. I arrived just before close to find the entire team gone and still no word on my car. I was told I had to pay the complete total before being able to access my car without any confirmation that any of the services had been completed. Absolute worst experience with a dealership ever! I was never given any updates on the secondary work and every single phone call was unanswered. The sales team seems nice, but if you need any kind of maintenance done. I suggest you go elsewhere!

Gave it one stars, because our sales person was very nice. Terrible dealership, our word means nothing there. I guess because their word means nothing either. We drove a car on Friday, called on Saturday to tell them we were buying the used car, called again that same day to make arrangements to stop by first thing Monday morning, since they are closed on Sunday, we were told that was fine, they would gas up the car and have it cleaned and ready. We showed up first thing Monday morning check in hand and the car had been sold after we had told them we were buying it. How can you sale a car when you already have a buyer, at least have the courtesy to let the first person know. Unbelievable. They didn't even offer to try to find us a similar car.

Ok it's 99% true about this place being a no games dealer. Hey trying to sell me an extended warranty is expected. But otherwise the purchase of the 2024 Outback was flawless professional and smooth.If you want a Subaru go here.

The joys of my new 2021 Crosstrek! The buying experience was not at all stressful! Ashley and Dominique made sure of that in every single step of the way! My trade- in was also a nonstressful experience! I m not sure what I liked best about this particular Subaru Dealership, was it their enthusiasm to please, to be helpful, or was it their flat out honesty, yes folks, honesty, at a dealership that can be hard to come by, but these guys were just that. Now, I m writing this review a few years after I purchased my car, that might seem odd to some, but I thought, people should know my experience with First Team Subaru in Suffolk over a few years and see if it changed well, it hasn t oh one or two issues have came up, I m not going to lie, but boy, did they jump at correcting them and making it right. For example, just recently I brought my car in for a problem I had with the computer map update. A appt was made to be seen by their computer person, Cheryl. Cheryl was so absolutely pleasant, kind and so knowledgeable in every aspect, she brought me through the motions, with ease I might add, on how to perform this. She stayed during the entire process and reviewed a few other areas of this map system. She stayed to make sure I was completely satisfied with not only what she had done, but if there was anything else! She reassured me if in the future anything I might need to see her! My wonderful Crosstrek is going on 3 yrs at this point. I m pleased as could be with it s performance, just as I was when I left the showroom with it. Thank you First Team Subaru and a big shoutout to Cheryl! and Subaru, people like this, that I ve mentioned, are the kind of people you want in your business family, they go the distance, they are treasures and should be treasured by you! Not knowing what car I wanted, I went to several dealerships test driving cars starting with First Team Subaru. I came by at night after work and Marc walked me through everything and accompanied me for a test drive. The following few days I tried multiple other dealerships and ultimately decided to go back to First Team to test drive a Forester for a second time. BOTH times I went to First Team Subaru I didn't feel pressured into buying a car. So, I came back a third time to buy a Forester and I wasn't disappointed. Everyone I worked with (Sonny, Chase, and Marc) explained each part of the buying process, which was much appreciated as a first time car buyer. I bought my car on Halloween, so special shoutout to Marc and his sensational Harry Potter costume (Dobby included). Thank you First Team Subaru for making it a comfortable experience!

I just bought a new Subaru Impreza from this Subaru Dealership. I would 100% recommend my family and friends to come here and work with Maddy West. Although I did not know what type of Subaru I wanted, she helped me navigate the different types and features they offered. Maddy is extremely knowledgable, patient, and personable. She even had a Subaru shipped from a different dealership to the Suffolk location so I could test drive it. She made the purchasing process easy. Jarvis made car buying fun!! I was just about to make a deal on a Hyundai Kona when I took a chance and checked out First Team Subaru in Suffolk. I m so glad I did. I m now a happy Crosstrek owner.Working with Jarvis was by far the best car buying experience I ve ever had. Jarvis welcomed me in and listened to all my questions and concerns and took the time to find me something on the lot that fit my budget - I honestly didn t think it could be done, all while I was on my lunch break right before picking up another car, lol.Well, somehow Jarvis (who seems just as passionate about cars as I am) pulled it off and found me my dream car, in my budget, on the lot that I could take home that day!!! I did end up working a little later that night, but it was totally worth it!! That Crosstrek drives like a dream! Thanks, Jarvis, and First Team Subaru. Stay awesome!! Will recommend :)

Took my car to get oil change and tire rotation. Mechanic didn't reinstall oil fill cap after oil change. Motor threw oil all over everything and stunk my car up with hot oil fumes. Returned to shop and staff didn't seem concerned with what happened. I requested the oil be cleaned up to help remedy the odor and little to no effort was made. I will be cleaning it up myself and not returning to this shop.

10 out of 10 experience with First Team Suffolk! I drove all the way from DC to purchase my new Subaru from this particular dealer and wasn't disappointed. They had the exact car I wanted waiting for me as soon as I arrived, gave me more than I was expecting for my trade-in, AND beat Navy Federal's financing rate. Chase was super helpful with giving me an in-depth tutorial on all the different features unique to Subaru, was patient with all of my questions, and had me driving out of the dealership in just over 4 hours. It was truly a wonderful and seamless process that I'm still overjoyed with nearly a week later. I can't wait to be back in a few years for another upgrade!

Everyone at First Team Subaru (Marc, Jason, Dominique, Chase, there were a few others whose names I did not catch) made our car buying experience enjoyable. Our salesperson was Marc Griffin. We told him exactly what kind of Forester we wanted. They didn't have one on the lot, but he and his team were able to locate it quickly, and we were driving it home in less than 5 days! This place sucks. Went for service for an oil leak, paid over 4k. I told them the day after I was hearing a knocking but they always had an answer for me like I'm dumb. I brought it back weeks later because I could not let it go that I paid so much and have an isssue. After bringing it in AGAIN they want to charge 7k for w.e repairs saying it's burning oil now. I reached out to the CEO with no reply to my email. I can go into detail and explain alot but I don't want to write too much. Just stay clear from this place. Scammers.

We had a great experience at First Team Subaru! Chase W. had us look/test drive an Outback Limited and we fell in love! We have owned two other Subarus but we have never owned an Outback. We got top dollar for our trade in. We left in a new 2022 Outback Limited in less than 2 hours. We look forward to working with this dealer for future purchases and routine services.

My granddaughter Nina ,who goes to William and Mary, had to get a car because her old Jeep quit on her. She had to drive back to Oklahoma for the summer and found a 2018 Subaru that she liked. We made the deal from Oklahoma and she s on her way home. Her salesman was Russ Parham.

Let me start by saying my qualms are with Subaru and Subaru of America, not First Team.Honestly, I've had great experiences with First Team Subaru Suffolk. Chase the sales manager went above and beyond for me, and the free oil changes and state inspections for life makes the drives from Newport News to Suffolk well worth it.My issue is with the fact that Subaru knew about the radio head unit issues in the 2017-2023 Outbacks, Foresters, and Imprezas, and their only response to their customers and to the dealers is "The radio head unit is on back order". Every time we've tried to get updates from Subaru of America, we get that same line. The only consolation they offer is a $1500 coupon on a new Subaru. But that doesn't solve the problem. No wonder why there's a class action lawsuit filed against Subaru of America. This is not the way to treat your loyal customers. I've bought 3 Subarus in my life, and unfortunately this 2019 Outback premium will be the last.I would buy from First Team again in a heart beat. Even with a higher than normal dealer processing fee, they've been great to me. But I'll never buy a Subaru again. I'm so disappointed in the company.

Excellent buying experience with Russ Parham (2023 Forester). We visited the dealership several times before buying, and he was always there to help us. We came back a month later and Cherilyn Willis spent several hours with us explaining all the features and settings. Very helpful!!
