One of the best auto shops in Suffolk! They always treat me well, always greeted by Renee and her staff. Service is great and fast, honest work. Prices for service is very reasonable. They always get the job done. Definitely highly recommend them!

Outstanding quick service. Called on a Wednesday for State Inspection service, and was given an appointment the very next day. Inspection was quick, and even replaced a license plate bulb for (what I'm sure is) a fraction of what my dealership would've charged. Highly recommend this place of business!

Car started smoking on road trip to FL and stayed overnight in Suffolk. Called A.C.E. Inc and with 30 hours they have diagnosed and fixed the car for a very reasonable fee. Communication and service was excellent.

I had a Great experience when I went .. The staff and employees were very professional and down to earth and knowledgeable of my car care Usually I can tell by the atmosphere how my experience will be . When I walked in the establishment I felt very welcomed from start to finish . and would highly recommend for your car care needs

Folks are friendly and provide sound advice. They are up front about cost and options available. It may not be quite as fancy as some of the chain places, but I'll take the trade for sound services.I'll be back for my brakes soon.

This family owned business is the real deal. An honest mechanic with a truly helpful staff. They know what they are doing and work hard to fix your car in a timely manner. I trust this team with every vehicle I have owned since 2004.

Just recently had my car looked at at this location after speaking with multiple shops for consecutive days to get a drop-off date and time. I called this place one evening and they promptly informed I can drop off the next day. After dropping it off, I was called a couple hours later with all the updates regarding the car and what needed to get done. Even after they fixed what they initially found, the problem persisted; however they did not stop looking. Found the culprit and faulty part and called me right away. Mind you I had a couple lights on my dashboard and they did not attempt to persuade me into paying more money for them to investigate those issues. They focused on the problem I initially addressed entirely and did not lead me down a rabbit hole of potential problems. They were very quick and informative the entire time. Replaced a radiator hose assembly and alternator all in the same day of diagnosing. Top notch time management for sure.From the photos, the place may not look as flashy as some places but please don t let that deter you in anyway whatsoever. The women who work in the lobby are just wonderful and super kind. And the technicians work fast and handle your car with care. The business is super professional but also very friendly. I will definitely default to this shop and highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

I ve been a customer for about 18+ years, before the shop s move from Portsmouth to Suffolk. Rod runs an honest auto maintenance and repair shop with great techs. Never had anything that wasn t done correctly. I m not going to openly bad mouth this place the people working were very friendly for the most part. I am a high school student and I saved a lot of money to get my car fixed I had a blown head gasket which is very hard to repair but after every time they gave me an exact date and price whenever it got close to the deadline they would extend the time I would get it with a significantly higher price(thousands). It was going to be months until I got my car back. It really just rubbed me the wrong way I tried my hardest to work with them but I cut my losses and got it towed back to my house. Even when I got it towed back half of my engine was just thrown in my back seat. And again I m not gonna talk about them and it may just be me but I had a horrible experience here.Service: Engine repair

AMAZING!!My husbands 1995 Toyota truck wasn t starting and we had no idea why. We thought maybe a timing belt since it s given us problems before. I needed it towed to get looked at so I called Automotive Care Express, Inc. and right away the receptionist was super friendly! They were able to look at the car the same day and even helped me get in contact with a nice towing service! I was super stressed out about how much it would be to fix or if it could even be fixed! They were able to start the car, and thankfully it was only flooded. They didn t even charge us!!So many auto care services have a bad reputation for ripping off customers and over charging. But not Automotive Care Express, Inc. So happy we found them, 10/10 recommend them and will definitely be using their service again and again! Thank you so much!

This is my go to for all things car! Several years ago I had another mechanic, one day my car died while driving. I called the mechanic I'd been using. They towed, said it was the battery, told them it was bigger than that, told me I was wrong and just drive it. I drove it home, drove to work the next morning, lunchtime the car was hesitating and battery draining. Called them and said I was bringing the car back. On the way to the shop my car died ...right in front of Automotive Care Express. I glided into the driveway and have been going to them ever since. The ladies in the office are always helpful, mechanics are great and prices are very reasonable. I can honestly say I trust them.

I took my truck here very recently for a state inspection. The mechanic and inspector Nick said that my upper ball joints were bad. I went back there to look (trust but verify) and sure enough he was correct. Not only did he have a keen eye for detail, he removed and replaced my upper control arms in the time it took door dash to deliver my Taco bell to the shop (about 2 hours). Other than spending a lot of money (vehicles cost a lot), it was a great experience. Extremely quick and well performed maintenance, and very friendly front staff. 5 stars any dayService: Steering & suspension repair

Very professional and nice staff. Called to ask about state inspections and they set me up nicely, in and out in an hour. Had a couple of small issues with my vehicle, (wiper blades) and their price was only slightly more than what it would cost to do it myself so i went for it. Good quality service at the right price, I plan on returning.Service: General repairs & maintenance

A friend recommended this place to me for state inspections. Had one done with them and they found an issue with my front engine mount, that definitely needed to be addressed. They let me bring in my own mount to replace the defective one, which is fantastic! I know it can be hassle for shops to deal with customers bringing in their own parts, but I really appreciate them keeping that as a part of their business. They even got me in the same day when I accidentally brought the wrong mount with me originally. Excellent service, super friendly, and I appreciated their willingness to work with me. Will be back again if I need service and definitely for state inspections!

Wonderful reasonably priced service at short notice!My passenger window was stuck all the way down and I was able to get it fixed plus an oil change AND my radio replaced (which is something they don t specialize in, so they went out of their way). I got those 3 services all for the same price other local auto repair places quoted me for just the window replacement!I m very happy and impressed at how well I was taken care of and will definitely be back! Thank you

Wife dropped off her car for routine maintenance. Explicitly asked that it be parked out front so that she could pick it up after hours for a 12 hour road trip we basically need to take during the night. Went to pick it up at around 6 30 to find it is locked behind their fence with no recourse to contact the owners via any of the shop s social media sites. Our trip is now delayed at least a day (perhaps more due to weather).Edit: good reply mate. A whoops my bad would have sufficed. Doubt I mistook your shop behind the tracks off of nasemond and wilroy for another shop with the same name, location, and my car behind its fence. That arrangement was indeed made, do not insinuate your customers are a.) too dumb to google properly and b.) liars.Edit 2: least whoever you got working the front knows contrition. Not sure what clown is running the review replies but I d let your front end handle this as well.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I drove in to their service center unannounced for a Virginia State Inspection. Better to call ahead first in case there are a lot of vehicles ahead of you and will save you some time. They also offer after hour drop off service for your convenience. I was promptly entered into their que with less than a hour to wait. My vehicle was promptly inspected and ready for me to drive away within thirty minutes. The waiting area is clean and professional with a TV on the wall to view while you wait. They have clean restrooms. All of the inspectors are clearly listed as are the rules and regulations for Virginia State Inspections. The awesome lady in the office was friendly and professional and made every effort to accommodate me. I hope to send more business their way soon! Clearly Automotive Care Express is a top notch auto service center!

I went to get my truck inspected here, due to a recommendation from a friend. It was very out of my way and was a pretty small shop, so my hopes weren t too high, but my experience changed my mind completely. The people there were all very kind and helpful. My inspection was done in less than 30 minutes, and they helped me figure out exactly what I needed to get done. The lady at the front desk had to fix some things on my paper (my fault, not hers) and she was very kind about it, even though she had to go in and completely retype the whole paper.

It's not possible for me to rate zero Stars which is very sad, I will be going to the Better Business Bureau for my latest transaction with this company. I was flat-out scammed I asked for pricing before any work to be done several times because I just moved to the area and I need all the money I can have right now. I did not authorize any work, I brought my own bushings and had asked how much it would be to do the bushings and to do the sway bars. I was told they are very busy and they would have to get back to me with the pricing, at the point to where they called me they gave me an estimated quote for all my work and I don't have that much money right now I was not able to afford it. I told her to give me a minute or two and I'd be right back after. It took me about 5 minutes and I got driven down there in person. I said I would not be able to afford it and I'd like to just take my car and potentially talk to a mechanic to see what I can do in person at home as those that is my only option. She replied with oh well there's nothing we can do to your car is already up being torn apart. I know all the phone calls are monitored for quality assurance and in fact I know that there was several communication factors on their side that went awry. This is not my fault I was very distinct and clear with the company that I needed price references first. On top of everything after I got my car they said they did a tire alignment however my car is drifting more than it was before, so I was charged $200 without my permission nothing I could do about it they used my parts and they didn't even do what they said. I have had some extraordinary really awful experiences with companies but I have never been downright scammed by one, never never ever take your car here also never leave it overnight they are not respectful to your vehicles.

First time customer. Appointment at 8am. Car inspection, oil change/oil filter, and a new cabin filter!!! Out at 9am!! Renee provides great customer service and is attentive to all customer needs!! They were very nice and professional. Came in earlier than my appointment and they took me as soon as I gave them the keys. Had my state inspection done in 20 minutes flat. I will most definitely be returning!
