Very shameful.After 20 years of going to Edwin Auto, I can no longer give his business a good review anymore. Employees are trying to squeeze every penny out of you now, doing unnecessary work, then trying to charge you for it. Edwin is never around. And his staff do not understand customer service.Went it with a broken axel. He told me $270 is going to be the price for replacing it. Walked in the next day and he's trying to charge me $330. He said the extra charge was for having to replace the gear oil, and new lug nuts. I mean really? They didn't call they didn't ask they didn't even try to reach out. It's a 2005 camry for goodness sake... He said the old lug nuts were unsafe, they were "ruined" and "rounded out" (they were fine before I brought it in). Anyways, I had him replace back the old lug nuts and *surprise* they still worked perfectly fine.Still had to pay close to $300 when originally told $270.It sucks because Edwin has been awesome, but he's chosen the wrong people to run his business.

I have been Edwin's customer for 5+ years. They charge less as compared to their competition but ultimately you get what you pay for. I like to give business to local family based shops but no more. Don't get fooled by their lower prices.The technicians are not qualified to troubleshoot the problem. They tell you one thing and then they find another issues as the root cause. Upon questioning why they were unable to find the issue during the initial paid diagnosis, I was told they don't have right equipment to do that and the technician had a day off. I ended up in paying unnecessary parts replacement and still the issue was not fixed. Finally I got it fixed at the dealer.I like to purchase quality parts either online or Advance Auto. Few times I have used Edwin services for labor only. I suspect that if you give them new parts, they do not use them. Instead they replace with their own parts. I feel cheated.The staff at front desk are very arrogant and not customer friendly. They don't like questions and neither they respond to your emails or phone calls. I guess they are related to the owner (part of family) and thats why they do not care.I have stopped visiting Edwin and I prefer auto services next to Edwin or if they issue is very complicated, I go to dealer. At least I get peace of mind especially when I drive with kids.

I've been taking my car for repairs to Edwin's for quite a few years now and I can absolutley say that hands down they have never dissapointed me. Their mechanics are very good at what they do, quite knowledgable about what needs to be done with your car and they have always had fair prices unlike other places you go that may do shabby work and still want to charge you. I will continue to refer anyone I know that Edwin's Auto Repair is the place to go if you want to keep your car up and running in good condition. I would recommend Edwin Auto Repair.

The strawberry mint shampoo wasn't the best and did not bring in my hairline but instead pushed it back 3 inches. BUt smelled really strawberry mint and it made me pull . Thank you edwins son.

Honest, professional and reasonable service & repairs. Staff is extremely responsive, direct, and explains clearly, Edwin Auto Repair is the HEAVEN equivalent of auto repair.

The girl at the front desk is extremely rude. I was referred by a family friend first time I came in she didn t greet me doesn t smile and is cold , my oil change took 3 hours. Second time I called for an estimate and I was put on hold repeatedly, she was aggressive and make excuses for not taking my call and even hung up on me because I was questioning her attitude politely. She shouldn t be working in customer service if she has no patience and can t be nice to people. I believe it s family owned I don t know if that s the daughter or some cousin but I doubt she ll be fired, unfortunately she s currently the face of the company and it s terrible , Edwin himself isn t in the office anymore there s no more personalized service.

Been coming to Edwin s for years. Not sure what was going on with the young lady at the front desk today, but she was extremely unprofessional and rude.I came in to have my truck tested after calling Joanna earlier in the week and being told I did not need an appointment for what was being done. She was very kind and helpful.Came in this morning just after 9am (9/17/2022) and there was a different young lady than Joanna working the front desk, and she immediately became aggressive and raised her voice at me when I told her the reason for my visit. It was almost as if she was trying to make me look stupid in front of all the other customers in the waiting area.I calmly tried to explain what Joanna had told me previously, and she was very condescending when she explained the different types of testing they have to do and how busy they are today. She refused to see my truck, and told me to make an appointment.Previously, I had never had to make an appointment for this quick test, and Joanna assured me I did not need one for what was being done. After I tried to schedule for a date / time that worked best for me, she disregarded my wishes and forced me to choose between two days that worked best for her.I now have to lose money from needing to miss work, spend money to rent a car, and have someone pick me up after dropping my truck off. Just so that it would be more convenient for her schedule.Hopefully this young lady can get through whatever she s dealing with in her personal life so that it doesn t affect her work. Maybe she was dealing with a rude customer right before me. Either way, she should not have taken that out on me, and I wish her all the best.This may be the last time I come to Edwin s shop. It s sad to think that other loyal customers of many years may have considered leaving because of having a similar experience.Service: Auto maintenance

I have been a happy customer from Edwin Auto Repair since 2008. They provide reliable car repair service at the most affordable prices in the NOVA area. Just recently had my truck towed to them for an alternator, belt replacement, as well as a few other fixes and they were able to fit me in their schedule on the same day I called them. Once the job was completed, they called me letting me know my truck was ready and even sent me an email demonstrating the price breakdown of the part description/number and labor description through PDF format for my records.It is not unusual to find this repair shop always busy year round because of their consistency in providing excellence in all their services at extremely reasonable prices. Johanna, front desk receptionist is very courteous and customer focused along with Edwin. To this day, I ve been a very pleased customer from all the positive experiences within the past 12 years. Highly recommended this stellar-rated place to anyone looking for a dependable auto repair shop at unbeatable prices.

Shopped around for a repair that was long overdue. Edwin was priced slightly lower than I was expecting and I had heard good things so figured I'd try them out...was not disappointed. Dropped my car off expecting to get it back in a couple days. They finished the repair the same day, at a lower price than expected and it has held up well. They are no nonsense, so don't expect smiley customer service. However, I'll take excellent work over fake smiles any day.

When you find a good auto repair shop you stay loyal to them and this is what I found in Edwin s. Was recommended to me by a friend and I ve been going back since. You can count on Edwin to only repair what you need and nothing unnecessary. Had to bring my car in to fix the 2 front wheel bearings last December and started hearing the same sound again recently. Edwin guarantees all his work for a year and if something he fixes breaks again all you have to do is bring it back and he will fix it again free of charge. Highly recommend this place!

Can't say enough good things about these guys. Edwin is just the right mechanic. Honest and doesn't charge you an arm and a leg for your car needs. I have been coming to them for almost 8 years now and will continue to bring my business and recommend to my friends. The place is always busy and that shows how well of a shop it is. The front desk guys (Diego and Matthew) are super chill awesome guys that will take good care of you.

I got recommended to this mechanic shop. I had to fix my car window which would not go up or down. I called a few mechanic shops and they were going to charge me 150$ just to look at. I ended up coming to Edwins Auto thinking maybe they can just put the window up without fixing it. When I first came I got a warm welcome by the 2 young ladies at the front. Friendly staff and best part of all they fixed my window completely for only 69$! These people are honest people you really get great service here! I'm definitely coming here for any of my car issues!

They charge less than some other shops. When you pay them they do the job fine. Right now I dropped my car and needed Geico insurance to pay for the car repairs. They did some initial fixes based on what they told Geico about the fixes needed. After, I picked up the car, there are still some issues with vibration etc. Now it's been a month and are not filing a supplement with Geico to approve the remaining issues. Looks like they don't know how to do it or they don't want to do it. I had to send them an email after I spoke with Geico and I myself cannot file a supplement being a customer. Not professional. I would say look elsewhere

This is the most honest auto shop I've used in my 11 years as a motorist in Northern Virginia, I have been taking my vehicles here since 2014. Edwin and his staff understands the importance of getting the most out of your vehicle for the best/most necessary price. They do not upsell you or sell you short. Edwin is there every day overseeing his competent technicians. They give you the lowest price on labor and parts out of anywhere I've been. Any auto concern I have, his shop is the first place I'm driving/towing my vehicle to get it checked out.

I have brought 2 vehicles to Edwin's. Both visits were separated by about 18 months. I was impressed the 1st time I went and returned 11/17 after I foolishly ran over a deer in the road. I was more impressed the 2nd time. They did excellent work and came in under the quoted price. High integrity and good work from my experiences.

Great prices and service at this shop. My husband broke down they were there in 10 minutes with a tow truck. Fixed our other car for an excellet price. Great service and turn around time. Highly recommend, especially if your looking for quality work for fare price.

I came here based on all of the positive reviews, glad I did. They were really busy but were able to assist with my car problem in under an hour, the mechanic even showed me a trick for the time being and didn t shove an upsell. All the staff was nice/helpful. ***I didn t get any work done that day.***seems honest/trustworthy, will be back based on my impression of the place!

Integrity. Dedication. Superior customer service. My whole family (9 of us) swear by Edwin s. We ve been coming here probably the better part of the decade if not more. I honestly won t even consider other places; the guys at Edwin s treat us like family every time.

Edwin's Auto Repair fixed my 2006 Honda Accord for free. My Honda accord would start but would shortly die out. I couldn't figure out what the issue was. I had just replaced the master brake cylinder, and the car was running fine before I started. I ran some Google searches for auto mechanics in Ashburn and Sterling. I decided on Edwin's because of the number of positive reviews. Edwins looked at my car saw that my engine was stalling out because an air intake hose was not fully connected. It turns out that I had accidentally pulled off the air intake hose when I was moving the tube out of the way to gain access to my master brake cylinder bolts. Johanna, the front desk service manager, called me up and said there was no charge for the fix, and the car now runs fine.Johanna said I could come by to pick up my car now, but also informed me that Edwin did find some other issues that I may want to consider fixing. The first problem was that he notice that my accord was leaking transmission fluid. He could fix it by using a custom made hose and also using a stronger clamp to stop the leak. He also noticed that a few of my engine mounts were damaged. His prices to do the repairs were reasonable, so I gave the green light.When I reached Edwin's to pick up my car, I was able to meet Edwin himself. He took the time to say hi and talk to me about my vehicle. He was very courteous and appreciative of my business. His front desk service manager Johanna was also amiable and informative. Johanna was able to provide me with mobile text message updates and replies via her computer system.I had a great experience with Edwin's Auto Repair. I can see why so many others have as well.Thank you, Johanna and Edwin!

First time there! Impressed with friendliness of personnel. Spoke to a few clients who are going there for 18+ years. Edwin, and his mechanics, know cars and do an amazing job without taking clients to the cleaners. Highly recommend this establishment!

Fast service, great work, reasonably priced. If you are looking for an auto repair shop then give this one a very hard look. I needed to have the leaking transmission cooler replaced, fluid replaced and everything cleaned up on my Silverado - they took care it. Highly recommend!

Shop is low budget and not professional recommend going elsewhere. Once I had them rotate my tires and I marked the tires and they said they did it but they lied. A time before I brought in my car with a broken timing belt and they never explained that my valves could be damaged and tried to get me to replace the timing belt with no explanation. If They're going to lie about rotating tires I wouldn't trust them with anything else more complicated or costly

I myself and 3 other my friends are frequent customer of this place.They are ok but not meeting to the expectations for any kind of service.When they said they will check all fluids but they dont do, this is faced twice. Just after the oil change i myself top up break fluid and radiator coolant. Even they dont check tire Air pressure and handed me car without filling up Air.And when i talk to the front-desk lady she responded arrogantly/loudly in a way mistreating customers.Complains suppose to be welcome for customer satisfaction and the complain which is correct she (front desk lady) loud and misbehave to customer is not the good way.Sorry Edwin i know u r nice guy and immediately take action on the items yur technician missed to check but i as an customer upset with wrong attitude of front desk
