Here's the thing. We originally bought 4 new tires from them and had no complaints. They were expensive tires so when one developed a slow leak, we took it there for a repair and tire rotation. We should have taken it back as soon as we looked at the tire pressures because they were exactly the same as when we were driving there, though the paperwork said they had checked the pressures on all the tires. Yes, that meant that the slow leak, "repaired" tire was still low on air but we were heading out of town and I didn't have time to go back. And we still had the slow leak though we had been charged for a flat repair. When we took the tire back, they said the hole was in a place they could not repair because any patch would not stay and the only alternative was to buy a new tire. We took it somewhere else where they confirmed our suspicious that there was only one hole and no sign of any repair having been done. We will not be returning to Cunningham tires.

Fairly priced location to get tires. Luckily, I was in and out in no time. Even though they had to do extra work to get my old tire off the rim bc I rode the tire flat. Friendly and helpful staff.

I have been a loyal customer to Cunningham Tire in Basset since I was 16 years old. I bought my 1st set of wheels and tires from there . 12 days ago I bought a set of Goodyear tires, my family and I were riding down the road, when the car started swerving and then we noticed smoke and heard a noise. There wasn t anything in the road and when we pulled over, the tire had almost completely come off the rim. It had busted at the seams. We took it back to them today and they wouldn t stand behind their product that they sale. Needless to say, I am very upset, but it s their lost. They lost a 27 year customer over a $160 defective tire. I have sensor lights on my car and no low air pressure signal come on. It is not my fault the tire busted at the seams. I gave them a chance to make it right, but they chose not to. No business will prosper by doing their loyal customers wrong, they won t get another dime from me or my family.

I bought 4 tires and those tires and are defective and I had to pay to 2 times the alignment because they did a bad job, the person who is in charge of the alignments has a aggressive attitude and the manger did nothing about him I recommend not to go to this place because it s a waste of time and money

I got a alignment on June 10th 2021 and went back today to get another one due to me buying new tires first off they lost my schedule appointment today for 4pm then the alignment guy come out and says my car can t be aligned due too frozen tire rods and on June 10th 2021 I was lied too about my car actually being aligned and that person has been fired for sometime entirely all of my information was wrong in there system I keep all my receipts (in the photos) they fixed my information then charged me 20$ to tell me they lied to me in June and couldn t get my Car aligned because my the tires rods been froze since June but instead of telling me I was lied to and charged again today! I will never do Business with these people again and I recommend no one does!!

Been a customer for many years. They have never honored the warranty on the tires they sold me and put the blame on manufacturer. Yet they still use the same manufacturers despite the lack of warranty. They do not stand by their products. Not to mention almost every time they install tires it takes them close to 3 hours. Constant broken wheel studs. Pressures off after installation.etc.ertc. AVOID AT ALL COST.!!!!

The most unknowledgeable, garage I have EVER delt with!!!!Owners, not even machanic's.So, don't know anything about running a auto garage. Probably take their personal vehicle to another actual mechanic's garage!!!Beware, beware, beware, beware, beware, beware, beware!!!!!!!!!!!

I am more than delighted to drive 45 minutes from NC to get my tires serviced professionally. Properly torqued lug nuts, balancing to perfection and correct air pressure during service is hard to find. Prices are great, plus they are friendly hometown folks!

I have bought all of my tires from David since he's been in business! He has all brands and sizes,plus a great selection of wheels,(rims),. He stands firmly behind every product he sells.Computer balacing,four wheel alignment,and oil x lube service! Stopped by there again today and had a lube job on my Mustang! 5 quarts Castrol, Filter, topped off and checked all fluids, 20- minutes,and $35.00 , Total time and price!

As a business owner, I strive for excellent customer service and a excellent product. My recent experience with Cunningham Tire was anything but pleasant. It started with a simple tire repair. The tire got a sidewall nail, tried to remove tire to take for repair. The lugs were seized, so plan B take truck back to tire shop. Cunningham Tire replaced all four tires back in December 2023. They said nothing was wrong, yet they charged me for three studs that were broken. Next there was a missing lug on the front, turned out to be another broken stud. They said they knew about it and that it was safe.

This place has no idea what they are doing or exactly what they need. Took 3 different parts and I spent 300 dollars here just for it to still not be fixed and take it to another place 200 more dollars simply because Cunningham forgot to bleed the air out before adding antifreeze.Do not recommend mechanic work being done here

I was quoted a price for 4 new tires over the phone. When I picked my vehicle up I took my old tires with me. I asked the lady at the counter if they refunded the tire disposal fee since I was taking my old tires with me. She said they don't charge for disposal. When I looked at my receipt later it has a 2.00 tire tax. VA doesn't have a tire tax. Why do I owe you a tax other than sales tax since I took my old tires with me? Just one example of deceptive billing if you ask me.I also was not told on the phone or in person they charge a 3% fee if you pay with credit or debit card. I would have gladly paid cash to save the $19.43 charge. Another poor business practice. I was given nothing showing the warranty for the tires I purchased and nothing in writing about free balance and rotation for life of the tires. Save your self the headache and go somewhere where they are upfront with their customers. Just my .02.

The cost for my manifold exhaust repair was less than the previous shop, which told me about the problem. I ended up needing brake and rotor work, also. But some information about my tire pressure monitor and key remote was not correct. It is not local for me anymore, but if necessary, I may go back for repairs.

I keep having wonderful experiences at this popular shop. Derek on the service desk is super-knowledgeable, helpful, and very reliable. The mechanic Robert is tremendous, really knows his stuff and very honest. Great attention to detail, and I couldn't be happier with his work. He spots things I didn't even know were wrong and has taken good care of me. They don't add a big markup on parts like some shops, and the labor cost is great and one of the lowest around. Absolutely wonderful experience. We heard a clunk and grinding sound, followed by a burning smell. Called Cunningham, they said they would do their best to look at it. 5 minutes after we got there someone was test driving and diagnosing our problem. 15 minutes later it was on a lift. The problem was very simple. They fixed it and sent us on our way...no charge! Highly recommend this place.

Always done good work to my car(s). Had a major oil leak in my first car but they fixed it easy. Only thing I'm not too crazy about are the wait times. I'm always waiting two hours for an oil change and one for a yearly inspection. Otherwise, great place to get your car done!

It's so nice to find that place where you can trust the establishment to do quality work and not worry about whether you might get ripped off. I have been trusting all my vehicles to Cunningham's in Bassett for over 20 years. They always do there best to get me in and out as quickly as possible, always provide excellent repairs, and always do only what needs doing. Tires? Best prices anywhere, and I always recommend them whenever I overhear a conversation regarding tires. Go see Derrick or Jamie -- they'll take real good care of you!

I wish I could give this no stars. Absolutely terrible experience! My friend took my car here because he trusted them & was purchasing tires & alignment for my wedding gift. We were promised on the phone they had a great set of like new, gently used tires for my car & they were guaranteed to pass state inspection & have no leaks & great tread. After only being on the car for a month, a tire blew out. When my husband took the tire off the car it was dry rotted. My friend who purchased called & spoke with the manager who wasn't willing to do much but did say he would put another tire on for $22. My husband took it to get done & they brought him out 5 different tires with no tread and/or huge plugs. I'm sorry but that's not what we were promised. Then after getting a semi decent tire, the manager charged him $29 & said he never told us $22. The staff was rude, unwilling to correct their mistake & miscommunications & just wanted to blame us & shrug it off. Will NEVER do business here again! Absolutely unacceptable!

I've been to numerous other tire and auto repair places in the area. Most of which I've had to return to more than once in order to have the issue properly taken care of. Cunningham Tire is the one place that I've never had to return to for the same reason twice. I not only go for all of my tires and oil changes, but most other vehicle repairs as well. They are very knowledgeable, very professional, and very courteous. The prices are unbeatable.
