Excellent service and prices. You have to get past the owner s unusual sense of humor but this is an old fashioned reputable garage

They wouldn't even plug my tire. What kind of place is this? The guy on the phone said the boys were gone for the day yet there were plenty of mechanics standing outside with both bays open. Guess he didn't know I was driving by. Whoops. I would put zero stars if I could. Integrity matters.

My friend took her car to a dealer they scared her into believing she had $2,000 of rust underneath her brand new car her brakes and everything we're done previous to this visit to the dealer and photographs and video was taken of everything before the job was complete so we went to East main Street garage in scottsville excellent communication outstanding customer service and the guys there are super nice and took care of us for the cost of inspection. Tell them Joe sent you and they will treat you right. AAA

If you re looking for good, honest, hard working mechanics look no further. Terry and his crew are always so kind and efficient. 10/10 recommend!!

Don't "waste your time" trying to get a state inspection here.I saw there was one bay open!(State requirement one bay is to be available for inspections during operations hours.)shop did not appear very busy..but owner sitting behind counter looks at my car and decided not to do an inspectionObviously he doesn't make any money doing inspections that's why it's advertised drop off service.You are NOT a priority customer here, only if you are scheduling an appointment for service will you get an inspection.To cheap to offer what he agreed to do for the State.No money in doing inspections

My husband and I just moved into Scottsville from upstate NY. We knew no one and no businesses, yet we needed to get our inspections done since we just got registered and got plates for VA. These guys were very clear with timing expectations and very fair with us. I have something wrong with my vehicle and they recommended another mechanic for tires and I'll be going back to East Main Garage on Monday for the other issue with my vehicle. Great guys. Great service. If you don't like this place, it's pretty hard to believe.

They are ok. good luck getting them to say how much it will cost to fix something before hand. Don t send your wife in there...they will try to sell her oil balancer or a tire fuse

Terry and his guys have done quality work on multiple vehicles of mine over the years. They'll always take a look at my car if I'm driving by and have a question, have bought new tools just for jobs on my vehicle, and are honest and straightforward about needed repairs. For all these reasons, I continue making the trip down to Scottsville two years after moving to Cville any time I need a solid mechanic.

As a car enthusiast and wanna-be owner of more than one, yet, rather ignorant regarding all manner of automotive needs, repair-wise, I rely completely on Terry of East Main Garage, and his trusty sidekick, John, for their high level of competence, humor, honesty, bottom-line approach, as well as convenience of location and availability. Robert is the 3rd mechanic, who rounds out a team of excellence. They all offer compassion, generosity, and a skill-set worthy of the best mechanics I've used in NY! And they're attractive, thrown into the bargain!I endorse this review!

Mr.gunnell I am familiar with the young man you are talking about he is very polite.If I couldn't get on with these folks I would take a good look at myself not only are they very good at what they do which is why I have used them for around 10 years in fact I'm taking my car there tomorrow.To Terry and the crew thank you for your service to the community in taking care of all our auto issuesMark & jen

I was in Scottsville when my truck started to idle funny. I pulled up to the garage to see if they had a minute to take a quick look. The guy was really friendly, popped my hood and gave a quick diagnostic that it was something with a vacuum or exhaust, and also picked up on a smell I did not observe. He was spot on, as it was a failed EGR valve, which also increases emissions from my tailpipe. Thank you for your expertise, you are a solid mechanic!
