There s a larger heavier set guy Named Rich, beard, maybe mid 30 s. Every-time I ve come in for help he has given me attitude or just out right refused to help me. The final straw leading to this review was watching a coworker of his ask Him a simple question and he proceeded to get angry and reply In an angry and condescending tone. I work for Roanoke college and come here pretty regularly for things. I won t be coming to this store anymore because of him.

Typical advance, have to order a part that I can order myself from Rock Auto and get as fast and cheaper, Chances are advance would have ordered it and it would have been wrong anyway.This advance is useless.Didnt even have (2) 350 Chevrolet motor mounts in stock. They wanted me to drive 20 miles to another store to get them.Chevrolet only used the same mount for 50 years.... But these monkeys can't stock it.Autozone had both in stock, less than 8 miles of driving.

This was the third store we tried looking for a battery and finally found the one we needed. Miles G was kind and helpful.I greatly appreciate him installing the battery on a hot day in the sun. Never got the sense it was a hassle or inconvenient for him. He was fast and polite.

Dakota Wilson is a great tech. Go see him if you need anything......he's got your back. He helped me do a job that I had already paid another shop to do, but they did not do it correctly.......he not only identified the problem, but also came out and installed what I bought...This man needs a raise. Great job Dakota.

On my way to graduation, car engine light went on. Stopped in to get a part. The customer service is outstanding. Three folks trying to decipher what was wrong. Not selling me what I did not need!! Gave me peace of mind for the 2000+ mile trip. Thank you! Highly recommend this store!

Great friend help. Jessie is a valuable part of the Advance team on 419 in Salem Va. . She goes above and beyond in get you the right parts fast quick. Deff my go to store for parts from the simple light bulb to complete engines.

Went in looking for headlight bulbs and an oil filter and oil. I'm not a car guy, but Ed was super helpful and very chill. Didn't act all smarmy or look down on me. Good selection, great service.

Very friendly staff. Just bought wiper blades. The associate (I believe DJ was his name) installed them very quickly. Yeah I know, it's just wiper blades, but they give me a fit trying to install them.

We was greeted by a employee when we came through the door. He helped us from start to finish. He was so amazing! Made sure the price was what my husband saw, he did a great job with up selling. And he's such a jokester!!!!

This is not a honest store. I looked-up a tire gage and went in today to buy it. The prices do not match as advertised. My item is listed as $5.99 but in the store.. $10.00. I asked about this and the counter clerk explained that all internet prices were naturally hirer.. He looked down... saying this with no eye contact at all. Then I was given a lower grade gage at $9.99!What a joke. I got ripped off twice on 2 levels. My wife asked how is it a $4.00 difference? No answer.Its Auto Zone from now on.

They had 4 or 5 people working in the store but no one came to help open the door when I walked up carrying a heavy car battery. I struggled to just get the door open. Staff was friendly other than that. Maybe go the extra mile next time and open the door if you see someone with their hands full struggling.

Every time I make an order online. It takes anywhere from 1 hour to the next day before it's ready. It has to be my account, cause I tried opening a new account and the order goes right through with no holdup. I don't want numerous accounts. I want them in one place to look back up. Very frustrating!

Went to the Electric Road Advance Auto Parts in Salem last night at 8:25 pm. Aaron was working and he was VERY helpful! Even though it was late and the store was about to close, he treated us like we were the first customers of the day. He replaced the battery in our daughters car and fixed the problem. Thanks Aaron for the GREAT Customer Service!

This location helped tremendously! Especially after the little short guy at the bramelton location wouldnt even go look for the part, nor call this location to see of they had it. Dont waste time at bramelton go here instead!

My headlight bulb went out and I called to see if they had one and if could put the new one in. I was told no. WHAT HAPPENED TO THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE -IF THEY DO NOT GET PAID FOR DOING SOMETHING THEY REFUSE I will take my business elsewhere since they are willing to help a customer.

Been there numerous times and have gotten poor service everytime. The employees are not helpful. Was sold a wrong headlight bulb for my 10 year old car and was told that it wasn't their fault, it's what the computer called for. So how many wrong bulbs have they sold over 10 years? And they took no action to fix it in the computer. Plus I got attitude from the clerk. Won't be back, too many chances already.

One of the better advance stores I've been in. They didn't ask me moter size 4x4 or 4x2 or a anything else of that nature just to find a light bulb. That means the man did have some knowledge in automotive repair. That's why I started shopping online because I dont want to buy truck parts from a goldfish salesman. Maybe they are hiring people now who have automotive experience which should be required and and tested. Like I said I'm buying truck parts so I need who I buy from to have real knowledge not just what a computer tells them, because a computer is not always right! 4.5 stars.
