Have been going to Hylas for over ten years to keep my three old cars running. I highly recommend them. They are beyond honest, do great work, and fairly priced. Love them!

Hylas is absolutely fantastic. First, I took my car in that had a tire leak. Worked me right in and quickly fixed the issue. As I was paying, I mentioned that my GMC truck had a ceiling console was loose. I had previously taken it to the dealer and they told me I would need the whole thing replaced at over $400. For what appeared (to me at least) to be a loose screw or something. Needless to say, no thank you. I mentioned it to Hylas when getting my tire plugged and they said go ahead a bring it right in and we'll take a look. 15 minutes later I was back with my truck, they quickly popped off the console, found two loose screws, and fixed the problem. Talk about great customer service. Thank you Hylas!

Hylas is absolutely the best. Every time I go, I have an excellent experience. They are flexible to accommodate with my schedule and deliver on the promised time table. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and very honest. They tell you what needs to be fixed and what doesn t.

Hylas Tire and Auto Services has been our family's complete and total auto service center for all our vehicles for 21 years. From tires, tuneups and warranty service, Hylas is a national certified service center..this means that when our new alternator just happened to be defective, we were in Myrtle Beach, SC. We went to a certified auto repair shop in Myrtle Beach, they called Hylas. No problem....the part was serviced out without cost and labor.Service with integrity and great service.

Always great service and I have full trust that you will fix only what needs to be done. Always a fair price. Unfortunately, not one of the employees was wearing a mask, including those that got into my vehicle. The customer in the small waiting area was not wearing a mask and was coughing. I was wearing a mask but refused to wait inside. I had to disinfect my vehicle upon returning home. You recommended a new serpentine belt. I had this done elsewhere because of your lack of concern for my safety from Covid. I will return as a customer after the pandemic.Steve Schwartz

Hylas Tire & Auto did an excellent job recently servicing my Honda Ridgeline truck. The customer service was exceptional, the pricing fair, the job completion done on time, and the owner himself ensured our satisfaction was 100%. I highly recommend this auto repair shop for anyone.

I have been using Hylas Tire and Auto for many years and many different vehicles. They have always been honest and reliable. When I have found myself in a bind, they have found ways to help out. When I needed just diagnostics or advice (or a last minute inspection), they have always been accommodating. Have recommended them to friends over the years and all have been pleased.

Everything was great. In and out in under an hour with the problem fixed. I've come to Hylas Tire and Auto for many years and their work is exceptional. They work with me, answer my questions, and keep my car running. It doesn't get any better than that.

Really left today with a good feeling about this place. Had to wait about an hour to get some exhaust replacement work done to pass inspection. The waiting area is not huge, about 4 seats, but John at the desk made me feel at home and Aron in the shop let me take a look on the placement of the tailpipe to make sure I looked good before he tacked it up. The price was more than responsible and I left there as a life time customer. Pretty sure this is the same outfit that was short pump tire and auto off of broad and pouncy track. I always took my car there back in the day and just lucked into finding them again today. Thanks guys.

Great job for the oil change, friendly staff. They also hooked me up to fix my tire on a last second kinda of thing when I was on the way home. Prices are kinda high for new tires though...Other than that, good service.

I hate to have to post this, having had nothing but good experience with Hylas Tire for more than 20 years. This group, in the past, has called me to tell me I really didn't need a repair that I thought I needed. I had developed a high level of trust as a result.However, I was just charged $20 each for windshield wiper blades in connection with a state inspection on an old 2003 Avalon. I could have gotten sufficient wiper blades for about $6 or $7 at Walmart and put them on myself. Besides which, a little alcohol will clean off any wiper blade and put it back in operating condition. While this is not a huge amount of money, it was so counter to my past experience. I was not contacted in advance to see if I wanted them to replace the blades. Seems like another way to ensure that there is some additional charge along with the inspection fee. Maybe this will rectify itself if the Virginia General Assembly does pass the measure to eliminate state inspections.Please note: I do not want Teague Auto Centers to contact me regarding this incident.

Literally fabricated a repair story. I highly suggest you avoid this repair shop at all costs. Our family has used this shop for years but under new management now and truly a horrible experience. Took one of our cars in making a loud screeching noise when starting. They diagnosed as spark plug replacement and honestly my daughter did not know better. She opted not to have them replaced as she could not reach me but they charged $80 evaluation fee but did nothing to repair. We gave them another shot last week at this same repair. I called and made an appt for Friday May 12, 2017 and my daughter dropped off the car Thursday night early bird. No call by 2pm so I called and they had not looked at it yet but was advised they would within the hour. An hour 15 minutes later I called back and was told they still had not looked at the car, they were backed up, and too busy. I told them not to touch it and would be there within the hour to get the car. In the meantime, a mechanic called my ex-wife and proceeded to tell her there were spark plug issues, wait seriously? She called me worried they would not release the car but when she arrived they handed her the keys with out issue and off she and my daughter went. Today, the problem was properly diagnosed by Forest Hill Garage as needed two belts, the serpentine, replaced and the cost is $335. According to VW forum, this is normal and creates this noise and if left unattended it can be damaging to the vehicle.I strongly urge you to look elsewhere for car repair than Hylas in Rockville. My confidence in them is shot after such an shady assessment and lack of service.

Set up an appointment to rotate my tires as they were due for their 5000 mile rotation. They did not do the service and did not contact me about not doing it. Only to inform me when I picked up the vehicle. I have 3 small children at home and have to try and figure out scheduling an appointment somewhere else.

Very nice and honest. Definitely won t take a job unless they re comfortable with it. I d take car here over any of the more congested short pump places.
