I had a busted radiator on my cascadia and I was adding water into the coolant tank every 5 minutes...Dealership assigned the road service mechanic Andrew to fix my truck while I was 52 miles away from the dealership off of i81. He could've came out to me, or I could've gone to the dealership.... I was adding a gallon of water into the radiator tank every 5 minutes but I had water so I decided to drive to the dealership...Some 3 hours later when I arrived at the dealership, the mechanic Andrew was ready for me, he had all the equipments and supplies out and was waiting for me to pull into the yard. He started to work on my truck at 8:30pm and he didn't stop until he was completely finished with the job he started well into the next day. After he was done installing and testing to confirm the job he did, he didn't stop there... oh no, he went to wash my engine for me so it looked better than before I had busted radiator, my engine looks beautifully clean.Job well done mechanic Andrew. I appreciate you. The next day, shop gave me a courtesy inspection on my truck and sent me on my way.... The entire ordeal was covered under warranty and I didn't have to pay a penny for the job well done by this Excel Truck Group in Roanoke, VA

Our air for the air brakes went out. We were fortunate to get here before they lost air totally and locked up. Service manager Zoe was so pleasant to work with. He explained everything as to what the problem was and what they were doing to resolve it and kept us informed. the job was done well and through. Thanks guys.

This is a great place! We stopped in to get an airbag and another part, and they had it all right there. The staff is friendly, helpful, and patient (paid with EFS). We highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back for more parts or maintenance. Once again, thank you all!

Truck pulled out in front of me by the weigh station and only had small mud flaps not even covering half the tires. Immediately kicked a rock and chipped my windshield. No response back from company. Woman who took the message was nice at least.

Their roadside service replaced my radiator on the side of the highway and had me going same night. They have a crane on their mobile truck for these things. Couldn t have stayed on scheduled without them. And less costs than a tow to go get fixed. Saved me two loads worth of money. Andrew was great, and it is a great service.

We are always taken very good care by Zoe Horsley in the medium duty truck shop every time one of our trucks goes down. He keeps informed of the status and time frame of when the truck will be back up and running. Always a pleasure dealing with Zoe.

Excel Truck Group ,is a great road side company to call first when you need great and on time service. Road side driver (Andrew Moran), was fast and on time getting to us. He was very professional and knowledgeable about his work. He quickly got us back up and running in under an hour. If I had to use a road side company again it would be (Excel Truck Group),before any other company. (5 STARS- to Andrew Moran) .

My box truck was wrecked in Virginia, over 1000 miles away from my home location. From day one working with Ryan & Travis. Both of them were very nice and patient with me during the entire 2 months of my repair. Didn t mind my weekly check ups and were always very friendly and respectful. Definitely recommend working with them for honesty and transparency.

Had an amazing experience with these folks at Excel Truck Group. From the roadside assist to Zoe at the helm in the Medium Duty Truck Service Center. I can t say enough about how courteous and professional he was. Zoe shared the insight from the team s diagnostic of the issue I was having with my Tiffin Class A Motorcoach. Not only does Excel Truck Group service big trucks, but Excel also services motor homes. This is the third time since spring of 2022 Excel has serviced my class A motor home with an oil change, lube, and state inspection. They are very thorough and careful by covering the drivers seat and the floor from the entrance door all the way up to the drivers seat. Every time I call to set up an appointment, I speak with Zoe Horsley. Zoe tells me to just bring it over and they will work it in. I always take it to Excel in the afternoon, give the keys to Zoe, and early the next morning it s ready to be picked up. Zoe and Excel are a great bunch of people and a pleasure to deal with.

Great customer service is very important when dealing with people and businesses. From the initial call, they are kind and courteous. The trailer shop is on point. I forgot the old biker guy's name, but I guarantee that he can fix anything wrong with the trailer, whether loaded or unloaded. The accounting department is impeccable. All of the ladies never make you feel like you're just another number. I've had an account with them for six years and they have proven themselves to be a worthy ally!!!

As a new owner of a 2020 Tiffin motorhome, the investment is significant, as is the safety and well-being of all Family members, on our anticipated family adventures, in this motorhome.Knowing Tiffin Motorhomes are high quality, we chose this Coach for purchase for the Freightliner Chassis, along with the Cummin's Engine and Generator.Here in the greater Roanoke, VA area, I found Excel Truck Group, Inc., in Roanoke, VA 24019 to be the registered and certified shop to work on my vehicle, by Daimler-Freightliner. I visited and met with Zoe Horsley in the Service Department in advance of my service visit, at Excel Truck at 267 Lee Highway.Mr. Horsley not only gave me needed time, he personally explained and answered lots of my questions for service work, on this Unit. Previously, I communicated by email and telephone, with him in advance of my visit, while he was spot on and prompt every time I communicated.More importantly, our Coach was serviced late March 2024, with Parts and Maintenance on the Engine, Generator, Chassis, Tires and related inspections on the entire frame. Every detail was explained in advance by Zoe, along with validated pricing of the overall job. The invoice was fair, precisely as we spoke about in advance, based on my dialogue and conversations with Zoe.Mr. Zoe Horsley was an outstanding and trustworthy Advisor for our transaction. I recommend Excel Truck Group, Inc. in Roanoke, VA for anyone needing and considering top level quality service, an opportunity to develop a lasting trustworthy relationship, along with the knowledge you are dealing with people that care for you and for your safety on the road.Thank you Zoe and best wishes for continued success. It would be impossible to explain how perfect the service was at Excel Truck Group and how helpful Zoe and Ben were!I was traveling from PA to GA overnight in an RV and noticed a significant loss in power and it kept going into a safety mode. We limped the bus to Roanoke in the middle of the night and hoped someone there could help in the morning since I had an important event in Atlanta.Zoe and Ben understood the urgency of my situation and immediately sprung into action. Despite no bays being available, Ben began working in the parking lot to diagnose and fix a failed hose. The repair was completed in under 2 hours from arrival and I JUST made it to my event in Atlanta that same day thanks to them!!!!Incredible care, hospitality, and professionalism!

I just want to say that Zoe the manager and Thomas the technician who worked on my 44 ft Dutchstar were fantastic to work with. After finding out we had to spend the night because of time and parts, they were so gracious and plugged us in so we could stay there overnight. These 2 guys treated us like family and had us back on the road the following morning by 10 AM. It s hard to find employees today that truly care about the company that they work for and represent. For this reason, I am giving them five stars which they truly deserve. If I ever have an issue with my coach again, I will surely look for Excell truck group to do my work On either my Cummins motor or Freightliner chassis. This company is phenomenal.!!!! Excel has changed their internal process for obtaining trailer parts. We do emergency roadside repair for tractor trailers, so it's important that we get parts in a timely manner. This morning, we arrived at Excel at 7:40am to get a couple hoses and hanger springs. It appears their new process requires the parts counter to order the items from the trailer side and then wait for them to bring items over to the parts counter, and then enter them into the system, before they can ring them up for sale. We finally got the parts at 8:35am... after waiting nearly an hour! This presents a huge problem for us because, including travel time and wait time, our roadside customer had to wait a full 2 hours for us to leave and return with parts. This is unacceptable. We're hoping that Excel can improve on this immediately! We should not be waiting at a parts counter for an hour, especially when we are a consistent, loyal, repeat customer!UPDATE:Things have really improved and we appreciate it!

My old fuel filter was starting to give me trouble on the road, so my company (Cowan) sent me here to get it checked out and replaced. Zoe was out to take my truck right away and I was back on the road in just under an hour. Thanks guys!

I have done business with VA Truck Center / Excel for years. I needed a Nox Sensor replaced under warranty today and Zoe Harsley went above and beyond to help me out, answering any questions I had and getting the truck in and out of he shop fast. Thanks to him I was able to still deliver the load on time.

My wife and I were in Blacksburg for a football game when we experienced a breakdown of our American Dream motor coach. We were towed to Excel that Sunday afternoon. On Monday morning I met with Zoe their service advisor to explain the issue. Thomas was our service technician and they did a complete diagnostic review of our rig, did numerous test drives to ensure the issue was corrected and had us on the road the same day by 2:00. We really appreciated the thorough and timely handling of our mid-trip issue. There s nothing worse than experiencing a breakdown on a long trip and then having to get in line at the service center. Zoe and Thomas knew our situation and did everything they could to make the repairs as painless as possible.

We appreciate all their hard work on diagnosing and repairing our RV. We were traveling from Florida and made it a few miles past the Virginia line when the RV gave out. Thankful for Alan and Morgan! I can email either one of these two and they are always quick to help me with whatever it is I may need. From part numbers to part availability, they never say no! And the fact they gave me their email addresses to communicate so that I do not have to have long hold times on the phone is absolutely amazing! It's hard to be on the phone for a long period of time especially when I am the only service writer sometimes. Emailing them cuts that out and allows me to take care of multiple things at once! This shop found the problem with my 2021 Cascadia Evolution. The physical wiring harness.The Dealership in Missouri did not find the problem. Just plug into diagnostics software and do a few keyboard maneuvers clear codes that tell there is a distinctive problem. A computer junky compared to a critical thinker with a bit of work ethic is a tattle tale; tell it story about work ethic.I had to stay in a hotel 5 days and had the same trouble just 2 days later, when I went to get a truck wash . A truck wash on bare exposed wire. I suggested to the dealership I believe it is a loose wire or wire connection. They ignored the information "virtual or physical" problem?Excel staff and mechanics excelled and are "top gun", and not to be under rated by NO means. A West Viginia legacy kept alive by real people not slated to milk your purse. As you can see.by the pictures these boys are serious in everything not just service but appearance and longevity. Not covid-19 or "version 21" (coming soon) can stop these competitors.
