I had a great experience with Whitten Brothers Service Department. I had an airbag light recalled on my 2002 Liberty and this had to do with updating the airbag module. Everything went smoothly from the appointment set up to the fix and repair. Tracey Boone was my service representative and did a great job keeping me updated on the progress and ensuring I was happy with the work. The techs did a great job and my issue was solved in short order. This is in stark contrast to another service department nearby which was a nightmare to deal with and I will make all future appointments with Tracey at Whitten Brothers. Thank you again for great service!

I just got my 22 Ram service done today at the quick change lanes. I was MORE than impressed. The manager there was by far the most upbeat and helpful individual I have worked with in many years.Professional and over the top knowledgeable man.And I didn't even purchase the truck there.Bill R

From the beginning, staff wasn't friendly and they were even rude. We arrived one morning outside of RAM and one salesman came over to us and helped us, we went inside and sat at the desk and went over some trucks. I ended up not doing anything and found a truck on their website a week later and set up a time to meet to test drive and go over other details. I was met with a different salesman, since the first guy was off this day, who assisted me with this vehicle. I ended up putting down a $500 deposit to hold the truck while I got my finances in order. I initially told that second salesman that I'd be in the next day but then I contacted the first salesman and told him it would be a couple days since I had to order a cashiers check from my bank that I would receive in the mail in 3-5 days. I told the business this and I was met with very rude remarks from the first salesman. I was receiving rude abrupt pushback and threats that the business would not hold the vehicle for me if I didn't have the cashiers check within 2 days. This went on for another day until I said I would buy from another dealer and that I never received such rudeness and disrespect while shopping for a vehicle. The salesman immediately became nicer and was more helpful and understanding that my check would need more time to come in the mail. I was then told that If I wanted this vehicle that I would have to buy the vehicle on the final/3rd day of it being held under my deposit. So I ended up going in and purchasing the vehicle since it was very hard to find what I was looking for at the time, and I signed some forms with my first salesman and then I went back into the finance office to talk with Jay. He was not friendly or nice either and I told him I was not interested in any extended warranties and he tried everything to get me to buy one and I ended up looking at some numbers. He was being deceptive and pushy and was answering my questions in circles for 15minutes until he finally gave real answers with numbers. I didnt realize at the time, because I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but looking back he was very pushy and tricky and I ended up signing up for total care because it offered a 30 day full refund if I cancelled the warranty within 30 days. They also made me sign a promissory note that I would pay the down payment when I got the cashiers check in the mail. The check came the next day and I gave them 40k down payment. Long story short I cancelled the warranty 11-12 days after signing. I called to cancel a couple times and they were pushing back hard so I ended up finally talking to Faye in finance and she helped me and ended up emailing me a form to sign. I sent the form back via email to cancel the warranty and confirmed with her the proper amount to be refunded to the loan. Whitten Brothers was supposed to send a check back to the financing agency/bank that I got the loan from. I gave them the address and account number, etc. I didn't hear anything so I emailed back after a few days and the check was apparently sent out two days after I cancelled. I was told it may take 7-10 business days for my bank to receive the check. It's been nearly 3 weeks and 12+ business days and I have tried calling and emailing many times and I keep getting transferred to finance and nobody answers, or calls back after I leave a message. I talked with Jay again and he was very short with his answers like he did not care and he transferred me to the answering machine again. I emailed Faye last week with no answer yet. This whole experience has been a disaster and I would not recommend buying a vehicle here. The employees are rude and dont care about the customer unless you are making a purchase or want to make a purchase. Even when buying they are rude and pushy. They only care about themselves. They haven't tried to help me get any tracking info on the warranty refund check and haven t sent a replacement. It s now been a month since I cancelled the warranty and the money is still not in my account. Don t do business with these people.

We brought our jeep in for service and we received exceptional customer service. Thank you to Adam in the service department for arranging an Uber for us to pick up a rental while our jeep was taken care of. We were pleased that our service was able to be completed same day. Everyone we encountered was professional and very friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

I was in need of a Jeep dealer to assist with the security code on a jeep radio I purchased on line. I live in the Hampton Roads area, but I found the local jeep dealers to be less than helpful. I called Whitten Brother Service Department and spoke with Kierra. Kierra epitomized customer service throughout the whole process. Kierra worked with the Service Manager to get me the code to activate the radio and despite the process taking a couple of days due to the department being busy, she stayed in touch with me throughout the delay and gave full assurance my issue was being addressed. This is the definition of customer service. Thank you Kierra!

We ve had a good experience here and two great ones!Buying a car went great until it got to the warranty. The finance guy/salesman was super pushy and arrogant about the extended warranty. I d mark the company down because of him but it wouldn t do justice to our salesman or the service department.The great experiences have come from the service department. We bought a car and two months later noticed an issue. They took care of it. (See my review of Haley. They didn t take care of things that were found early than this issue was found! If your comparing between Haley and Whitten, go Whitten!))Other experience was the service department was then going to bat for us with warranty folks.Thanks, Whitten.

Terrible communication. Scheduled for body repair almost 6 weeks in advance. When I showed up for my appointment, they "forgot" to call me and changed my appointment for 2 weeks later to get parts. Called the day before to confirm and they said it would be March before the could get to me and they still have not orderd parts. I am 2 months behind getting my truck fixed because I thought going here would be quality work. FYI: they are closing down their body shop. If his is the way the run the whole business, I wouldn't buy a car there either.

While I didn t buy my Jeep here, they treat me like I did!I ve recently moved and this dealership is local to me, so when my Wrangler s windshield spontaneously cracked while parked, zero previous damage, no impact made while driving, I reached out to them for help.I got connected with Ash and am so glad I did! Ash not only guided me through the entire process, but she also advocated for me when there was pushback on the reason for the damage. My windshield has since been replaced under my warranty and I couldn t be more appreciative of Ash s help!

We had a good experience with our salesman, Evan. Then in the finalizing of the sale we had a horrible experience with the finance guy, Charlie. He was absolutely relentless while we insisted we were not interested in any warranty, and continually talked to us like we were idiots for doing so. It felt like it would never end, this guy was so rude! Finally, he backed off and immaturely said well I don t care, even though we re well aware he would have received commission. We ve bought a few cars before and never experienced anything like this. After a long day at this dealership and making some difficult financial decisions I was close to crying due to the way we were talked to.

I just purchased my 3rd vehicle from Whitten. It s the 3rd new vehicle I have purchased from them over the last 11 years and it s always been such a nice car buying experience. (We will have all 3 vehicles w my son now driving my 2012 grand Cherokee.) I think for me it s the customer service that keeps me coming back. I didn t even look at the competition bc I know I ll get the best price and the best service bar none. Thanks again Whitten!! Coulbourn. Family

I had a great customer experience with my vehicle at Whitten Brothers. I appreciated the Lyft ride as well when I needed a ride back. Although with the caveat you must live or be within 25 miles of the dealership.

Had a wonderful experience working with Ray and Josh today. Ray was super helpful and very attentive. He found a vehicle I was looking for at another dealership quickly, handled a dealer trade and took care of everything before I got to the dealership. All I had to do was sign the paperwork when I arrived, in and out in 30 mins. Josh was so kind and walked me through all of the vehicle features. By far the best experience I ve ever had getting a new car. Thank you, Whitten Brothers!

I called and spoke with Ryan about two Jeeps on their lot about 1pm and made appointment to test drive the vehicles and talk to a Jeep specialist. We arrived about 5pm after an almost two hour driveWe met a salesman named Josh who was very nice and we test drove a couple of jeeps and made a decision to buy one. In the meantime another salesman had supposedly accepted a deposit from someone on the Jeep we were going to purchase who was still in the lobby and he came to get the keys from us and finish his deal. Basically they beat us to it because they were there first. I get it and that s not why I am mad. Josh apologized. My issue:1)The key should not have been made available if there was a deal pending for other people to drive it.2) A manager should have come out and apologized for the confusion on their end but did not.3) We discussed making an offer on another Jeep but they would only budge a $100 bucks on a $52,000 Jeep because they would lose money on it. Needless to say was a smack in the face after all the time and miscommunication on their end.We drove 2 hours back home with no Jeep and essentially wasted 7 hours of our time.I would not be writing this if I received a proper apology or an actual deal on the Jeep, instead they lost a sale and a future customer

Buying a car for the first time is pretty scary, but Whitten Brothers made the whole process a wonderful experience. Explained it step by step and made it pretty exciting and easy. Got my Jeep Wrangler 2024 and I m loving it so much!! Evan was such a great help and gave me my first duck. Loved it!!

My wife wanted a Durango with middle row captains chair seating. Ray and his team were able to get us in the vehicle we wanted at the price we wanted to be at along with not having to be there for hours upon hours. They got us out of our pathfinder and in the Durango in no time ! Will certainly be buying from them in the future !

I bought a Ram 1500 here. They never checked anything. Started driving home and wipers won t work. Then went to fill truck and it s has a recall on gas tank. Driver side tail lights. Inside was all burned up we found when went to replace bulb. Trailer package just fell off. They must not inspect trucks. I will never go back.

The service was great! Willie my sales guy has been with Whitten for a number of years and he is very good at what he does. The over all experience was nice. I drove from Akron Ohio to pick up my 2013 Fiat 500c on July 1st 2023 (it had less than 100,000 miles, 1 owner and up to date service records), after having two friends who live in Va. go by and check it out. Willie stayed after his normal hours to help my friends who stated that he was very helpful and that the vehicle was solid. I purchased the extended warranty and the undercoating which was on sale and happily drove back to Ohio. Unfortunately, after having the vehicle for less than two weeks 11 days to be exact, the assembly for the convertible top has broken and I have been quoted a whopping 5-8 thousand dollars for the repairs. While I don't know if there was foreknowledge of the issue by the dealer, I doubt that they were completely ignorant. My suggestion to anyone purchasing from Whitten is to take into account every detail of your vehicles functions not just the obvious ones. I called Whitten and my extended warranty will not cover the cost of the repairs. My two star review is based on the fact that I am facing major repairs after less than two weeks of owning my new (to me) vehicle with no recourse.

Shockingly awful. Do not take your vehicle here for service. The truck was to go in for repair in May. They delayed and took it in July. It's November and they still haven't finished. Poor communication and non existant QC on their work. Went to pick up "finished" vehicle. It still had obvious damage.

Perfect car buying experience. Everyone we met at Whitten Brothers treated us with courtesy and were friendly. I have to say that I've dealt with dealerships in the past that have treated me poorly and not taken me seriously because I'm a woman, but thankfully that never happened at Whitten. I can't tell you how much I appreciated being taken seriously. I'm very happy with every aspect of the car buying experience from the test drive to the negotiating process and finally buying process. This dealership is honest and they all do their best to make their customers happy. I highly recommend them and would buy from them again.

Outstanding experience, from initial contact through driving off the lot with my new (pre-owned) vehicle. On-line contact was met with prompt, friendly, helpful, connective responses. Setting an appointment to test-drive the vehicle was easy, and they let me reserve it so it couldn't be bought out from under me. I was on the lot maybe a minute, admiring another (much more expensive) vehicle when a sales rep approached me and asked if he could help, and did I have an appointment. He wasn't pushy, just eager to help. I told him I had an appointment with Willie, and voila, there was Willie! Willie was helpful and smooth without being oily or TOO slick. He expertly answered my questions, and clearly wanted to meet MY needs, not his own or the dealership's. Car dealerships can be high-pressure and pushy. I experienced none of that at Whitten Brothers. I'm happy to have done business with them.After deciding to make the purchase, Willie had us speak with David, who WAS a tad too smooth with his presentation but was not pushy. We declined the add-on services, though frankly they DID sound like a good deal (especially if we were super-concerned about corrosion from road salt, or paint fading). Then we met with Hope, who guided us through the extended warranty options. I'd already told Willie that I wasn't going to purchase the extended warranty, but between Hope's polished presentation and the outstanding systems they use to make the warranty a good decision, I surprised myself by saying "yes." And get this: From start to finish, Hope's presentation, paying my bill, and signing all the paperwork took 17 minutes and 11 seconds. She literally timed it. Now THAT's efficiency and a commitment to valuing the customer's time and experience!This place is a model business. They hire well, they obviously onboard and train extensively, and they work as an integrated team. Well done.PS: They were also exceptionally friendly to our dog, who we brought along as if he were our child :)

2017 RAM 2500 Tradesman - 6.7 CumminsThe staff worked with me to get the parts i needed and install them quickly and professionally fix my issue. Jason, the service manager, was excellent to work with and made sure everything was done to plan and kept me in the loop. Will be returning here for regular service in the future.

I wasn t going to leave a review but after numerous texts and emails requesting one I guess I ll go ahead. I ve used this location several times with out an issue, and my Dodge Journey always seems to have the craziest issues, so I waited over 3 weeks for an appointment to have diagnostics done to see why it was over heating. Once the diagnostic was done is where it went downhill. A man called me with the most arrogant tone and said it would be $1,100 to fix the issues plus a $160 diagnostic fee. When I told him I scheduled this appointment with a discount offer. He then questioned me on where I got this discount and his tone got even more arrogant and condescending. I hung up very upset. The only reason I m giving 2 stars is because Jason Vaughn took over and did what he could to rectify the situation. I chose not to have my vehicle serviced there though and went some where else. The cost of my parts were $160 plus $100 for labor. I d say that s a lot better than the over $1,100 they were trying to charge.
