Look at the recent reviews, there s a pattern of negligence that are starting to appear. I got my oil changed on Thursday in preparation for a drive to Charlotte on Saturday.As I m driving to Charlotte my car starts making a loud and concerning noise and it begins shaking a bit. I pull over on the side of the highway to find my engine splash shield hanging on by a screw. When I call Take 5 to inform them of this issue, the manager DJ, said that I must have hit something and that a screw must have come loose , also that most Hondas don t have splash plates . I informed him that I didn t hit anything and that my car, in fact has an Engine Splash Shield which is partially on the ground. I asked him how I could fix the problem being that I m driving to an event and pulled over on the highway and he kept repeating his line about Hondas and splash plates and that there was nothing he could do about it.So now, I have to interrupt my travel plans to find a mechanic to fix Take 5 s error in addition to spending additional money for the repair. This is the most expensive -in time and money, oil change that I ve ever gotten.If you re thinking of coming here to get a quick, inexpensive and convenient oil change, do yourself a favor and go to a dealership. You ll likely pay the same price with more reputable mechanics that have some level of accountability should their negligence cause harm to your vehicle.As a person new to RVA, I truly hope that this experience is indicative of their negligence and not an overall trend of the services that are available in Richmond.

Work nicely done. Friendly people that really cares. We were on a trip to Florida with our RV. They normally don t do RV but they understood our needs.Since it ��fitted�� in the garage, well they were able to change the oil, filters, check fluid levels and tire pressures. I came here and was directed to the middle lane the two gentlemen on shift constantly serviced the left and right lanes leaving those of us in the middle to sit over a hour and a half. I had a young child in the car and even after seeing that they proceeded to say thanks for your patience while servicing a car who hadn t even waited 30 minutes. We all were receiving oil changes. This service is unacceptable and I will never return to this location! They prioritize talking and exchanging family photos over customer service and it s awful!!!

Husband took his Ford pickup to the Brook Road location for a oil change, they refused to do it due to a plastic oil plug, and none of crew knew how to handle that without breaking it, told him to come back in the morning when someone would be there who knew how to do it. Husband asked to have air put in right tire...he drove away with air in the left tire...next moring husband is getting oil changed... then goes on a 150 mile trip...when coming back and parking noticed oil coming out for under the hood..long story short oil cap found on finder well and oil all over the place...went back a third time to get it topped off to protected engine and waited over an hour...ended up driving off... very frustrated. Should be called take an hour & half- not take five.This use to be a great place.

What they forget to include in the 10 minute oil change is the hour and a half of waiting after your appointment time to even pull into the shop. I payed extra to have it done quickly and be able to fit it into my day, and instead I m sitting in the shop rescheduling my plans. The only reason they get a star at all is because the employees were kind, and the job got done. If you need an oil change to actually be quick, look someplace else.

John and Kenya stayed after hours even with just them two at the shop alone for me. I had 4% oil life left with an engine light on for it, and they graciously helped me without hesitation. They were fast and so effective without complaining once for staying. I was so appreciative and impressed with the service.

My first time doing business with your company and getting my oil changed here was a good experience overall. The manager, D.J., was friendly and welcoming. Kenya, Joey, and A.J. were also friendly and efficient getting the job done professionally and accurately, even taking a moment to show me the full dipstick and handed me a bottle of cold water while I waited in my car. Nice crew. I'll be back.

It was my first time at a Take 5, but I was very impressed! Even though there were only a couple cars in line, they brought me a cold water bottle as I waited. As they were working on my car, they made sure to keep me informed of what they were doing (showed me the air filter before replacing it and confirmed they had filled the oil to the appropriate level). They were efficient, professional, and very kind!

I usually get my oil change here. Also, they have a checklist of things they are supposed to check. For example, the air filters. Well in order to get to the air filter in my car there is a cover with two screws that needs to be removed. When they put the cover back the screws were not put back on leading to other problems.

I love this place it's always fast service they take care of my car. Always quality work they even give my dog a treat. The customer service is phenomenal at this place. As long as I live in the area I will remain a loyal customer. Thank you to Kence he's always kind. All of these guys are great Tyree and Joey.

I was very dissatisfied by the manager actions. He stated my car had a oil dip stick and i told him i did not. He said im the manager and i see the dipstick. He didnt check it told me to go around in line. The young lady ask me i told her what happen. I pointed to where he assumed it qas a dip stick it was not ot was the transmission stick. Once the two young men started talking and the young lady i ask what was going on. They told me and was calling someone on the phone. My car os a CLS 500 Mercedes Benz. I know my car do not an oil stick. The young men agreed it was underneath thats what i was telling the smart mouth manager. Thank goodness they listen because if not and they would have proceeded actions would have been legally taken due to poor management. The CEO need to talk with the manager and he need to reach put and apologize and get more training. I was pretty upset when i left the place.

When to the Brook Rd location! Sat in line patiently for 2 hrs , the guy moves me from one lane to another one, only to take care of the car waiting behind me , before me! Like my time doesn t matter! I didn t appreciate that at all, I told them about it, no remorse whatsoever ! I know they are busy but it s gotta be a better way! And I was not compensated at all! Just careless & unprofessional ! I will be taking my services elsewhere next time !

From start to finish the guys were polite professional and kind. I had the best experience I've had in a long time as far as customer service goes. Yes, these guys are top notch.... Highly recommend this "Take 5 oil change"on Brook Road Richmond Virginia.

By far, the absolute most frustrating oil change service I have ever received. First, we had an appointment scheduled for Monday afternoon at 1:00. There was no designated bay for appointment holders and we watched numerous cars who arrived after us get placed in a bay before we did. We weren t in a bay until 2:03. We sat in the bay for over 15 minutes until a staff member spoke to us. And we didn t even get an oil change! After trying to start the change, they told us the oil canister was stripped and they couldn t complete the change. The previous oil change was done at another shop, and they are responsible for the stripped canister, but it was just a truly horrible end to the longest 2 hours of my life.

This was my most horrible experience at this location. There were three lanes open with only ONE technician working. There was one other person compiling info from the drivers . I waited for 55 mins before I was serviced . It was apparent that the workers were not motivated or displayed any kind of urgency to service the customers. I will not come back to this location because it has been declining in customer service for a long time.

The men's always friendly and asked questions or you can ask questions and believe me it will be answered. And l like how they give you bottle of water nice. And I like how one person being ringing you up while the other guys be doing. And then it rotates I love it.I will come again and again.

Extremely helpful solving the mystery of a burning smell. Luckily it wasn't the oil. Technician discovered a plastic bag was melting on the manifold causing the burning smell. He kindly went above & beyond attempting to remove some of it.

Went to Brook Rd location, set in line 40 mins, took car that pulled up behind me in other lane. 10 min my but. Pulled out, went to Jiffy lube, in and out in 20 min. Sometimes you go to who you know.

Overall, the employees were friendly and cool. THE PRICE IS CRAZY!!! I picked the advanced for $84. I could have went to Nissan, that s the car I have, and got oil, filter and tires for $75-$80 total. They charged $140 total at first then I questioned the price and it went to $130. Never tf again! Price is okay, but the over filled our tires at the end, even though I asked them to stop. Our tires are good at 33 psi, and 2 of them they filled to 40 and the other 2 were filled to 45 psi. When I asked them to deflate them to safe levels, they blew me off stating that the pressure will lower as the temperature gets colder. It doesn't, the tires loose traction, especially with wet, cold or ice. I had to drive away with dangerously highly inflated tires, because I was wrong for worrying. Then I used my pressure gauge to slowly deflate the tires that didn't need to be over inflated in a different parking lot.
