Terrible customer service!! Do not take your vehicle there if you are looking for a trustworthy, loyal shop. Spent $500+ after going for a state inspection only to get my car back with a check engine light on. Took it back to the shop and they wanted to charge me a diagnostic charge to see why. After they were the last ones to touch the vehicle and pass it for inspection! Absolutely ridiculous!! We have 5 vehicles between the family that we've been taking there, but NOT anymore!!

I went to there shop and I and sat there for an hour while there was not even one customer in the shop and they would rather pick their nose and smoke cigs than help me with a flat tire. I will never come back here again. Oh and by the way, y'all suck!

Awesome mechanic. I do a lot of my own work on my car but for things that require special tools or parts that I can't install myself I go to them. For example I've gotten new A/T tires installed and a brake line replaced here; excellent prices, quality, and speed both times. Took them less than an hour to install my tires even without an appointment, and they fixed my brake line the day after I called in about 2-3 hours. Don't think I've had a shop get things done as fast as this place and again the prices always seem fair. Highly recommend this shop, especially for new tires

I've been getting standard oil changes, tire rotation, and tune ups at Seredni Lakeside for years now. Everyone is straightforward, easy to work with, quick, and good at what they do.I brought in my car recently for some weird performance issues and it turned out my catalytic converter was cracked. This is a hugely expensive repair, and the Seredni team walked me through how to get the car manufacturer to cover it under an extended warranty through the dealership that I didn't even know about. I really appreciate that this team is never out to make an extra buck and willing to go the extra mile to help out their customers.

I can not say enough great things about this shop. I have never been as comfortable as I am now with any other shop. They are truly HONEST people. Cher is AMAZINGGGGG!!! They do the work on all 22 vehicles for the company I work for. They work on all the vehicles for my husbands company and our personal vehicles. They are a TOP NOTCH AUTO MECHANIC. If you are struggling to find a trust worthy, reliable auto mechanic like I once was, do yourself a favor and go check them out. I promise they will not disappoint!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Seredni on Lakeside. I have been bringing my car in here for almost a decade. They have always been able to take care of my car as a walk-in appointment, and they have taken care of it promptly, without nickel and diming me. Good customer service is hard to come by these days, yet it seems to have never wavered at Seredni Lakeside. They go above and beyond for their customers. Last week, Cher went even further, chasing down a part for my car that I needed before leaving for a road trip. She didn't take "no" for an answer when trying to locate the right part, being told it would take another 2-3 days to track down and deliver. She kept up communication with me throughout the 2 days they had my car, updating me through every twist and turn. They got me on the road that night - Cher and the rest of the crew. I will be a lifelong Seredni customer. If you want a neighborhood service shop, these are your guys.

This shop is now my go to for all my car needs! As a female knowing little about mechanics, I am skeptical when selecting a mechanic shop. I have been here twice in the last week for services on my vehicle and both times I left feeling relieved and confident in their work! At no point or time did I feel as tho I was being scammed or given the run around. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! In addition, they were fast and reliable! They did exactly what they said they would and in a timely, efficient manner! On top of all that, the prices were extremely reasonable! I would definitely recommend this place a thousand times over!

After 10 + years of taking my cars to both the Mechanicsville and Lakeside locations, I will be taking my business elsewhere. The front desk staff at both locations are rude and disrespectful! Prior to today, I had decent/average experiences at the Lakeside location but would sometimes use Mechanicsville because of convenience (bad idea). I gave up on Mechanicsville and took my car to Lakeside for a state inspection. When I arrived and began filling out the drop off information, I looked in my glove compartment for the wheel lock that came from the manufacturer. It wasn t there and these 2 locations are the only shops that have done any work that would require removing the wheels. I called and spoke with Cher and she said she d check to see if it was put back with my spare or if the shop had a lock and not to worry I got you . Well when the owner Auggie called to let me know my vehicle was ready, I asked how they got my wheels off. He wasn t sure and when I asked to speak to someone who knew, he swore as he put me on hold. Cher got on, told me my wheels did not require a lock (but there was a manufacturer s lock in my glove compartment prior to leaving it with them) and when I started to ask questions her whole attitude changed. She became very defensive instead of answering my questions. If I can t leave my car with a business that I can trust with my personal property, that can professionally answer my questions and that aren t rude and unprofessional, clearly I need to find a more reputable, responsible and professional mechanic!!!

Asked them to install a "custom fit" hitch, that the manufacture's install guide said would only take 45 mins for a professional and 1.5h for a novice to install. They wanted to charge me 2.5 hours of labor just for the hitch and another 30 mins for the wiring.Ended up doing the job myself and only took a little less then 1 hour without a lift. Could have done it much faster with one, that said I am going to have to retract my earlier review and can't really recommend them.

I cannot say enough about Seredni's excellent service. I have been patronizing Seredni for years, with cars both old and new. They are honest to a fault, which makes me feel especially safe and cared for knowing that I am in good hands. Did I mention how many times they drove me to work so that I did not have to wait for repairs?

Deal with them on a professional level, and personal level. They really helped my GF and her son get his tires straight on his first car. Quick phone call, they had the tires in stock, and installed in less than an hour. Joe was a huge help, and really accommodating to them. He made their experience painless. Highly recommend.

There is an axiom for most businesses that goes something like this: "You can have it fast, affordable, or well done, but you can only pick two at once." I have been very pleased to always find Seredni to be an exception to this rule! Work on either my car or my wife's has always been fast (we live a little ways down the road but close enough to walk if its nice out, and I've had them fix things in the time it took me to walk home!), affordable (usually below what you would expect to pay for comparable jobs elsewhere), and well done (parts have always been fitted well and run reliably after install). There is also great courtesy: drop your car off with an issue and you can expect a phone call letting you know what was found, outlining options and potential costs, concise explanations of anything you might be wondering about, and no pressure on your next move, just professional advice. We will likely be moving in the next year and one of the things I am really going to miss about living where we do now is having such a quality mechanic right down the street! I have recommended them to anyone I know who has needed auto work and don't plan to stop doing so anytime soon.

On Saturday 5/22, I had a tire replaced. After leaving the shop, I drove to Carytown to an appointment. Upon returning to my car, I noticed that my hubcap was not on the new tire. I called Seredni. They checked the shop, but did not see my hubcap. The tech said he put it on, so it must have fell off while I was driving. They assured me that they would take care of it. I called back on that Monday and they let me know that they hadn't located a replacement yet. I let them know that I purchased the hubcap from either Auto Zone or Advanced, so they could check there. I called back again that Wednesday. Again, they said they hadn't located the hubcap with their suppliers because they couldn't find just one since they come in a set of 4. They let me know that the owner said I could purchase the set myself and they would reimburse me for 1/4 of the cost since the hubcap was on when I left and they can't determine for sure what happened. I let them know that was unacceptable, as I shouldn't have to spend any money for something that wasn't my fault and asked them to let the owner know and to call me back with what he said. I didn't hit any potholes or run up on any curbs. It was evident to me that the hubcap was not put back on correctly. To this day, I have not heard anything back from Seredni, and I am not going to continue to beg them to do the right thing. It seems to me that they do not value their customers, as I have been doing business with them for many years. I would expect a business to take the initiative to make things right with their customers, not sit back and only communicate when the customer calls. The fact of the matter is the set of 4 hubcaps only cost $35, which apparently me as their customer must not be worth a measly $35 to them. It's the principle of the matter. I will take my business elsewhere.

I am very displeased with this location. My stepfather recommended this place and I actually feel like I gave them free money. The guy older guy who sits at the front desk has horrible customer service. I called this morning because I m having the same problem that I paid them to fix a few months ago on top of not being able to get under my hood because they cut the cable cord. He seemed very irritated which is the vibe that I gave gotten the few times I have had a conversation with him.

Avoid Avoid Avoid! It should be very clear that when I say they will take advantage of women, they will take advantage of women. After my mother yold me how much they WANTED to charge her for maintenance, I laughed. Told her to take it somewhere else. Poor business practice on Seredni end.

I had new rear brakes and rotors put on at this shop. I began to have a problem several months later and took it to my mechanic and he said I needed new rear brakes and rotors. I told him this had already been done ...he said to take it back and have them check it so I did and I was charged a fee. The fee was charged because I didn t want to put Front brakes and rotors on my car. Complete opposite of what I was told from my mechanic which by the way is a tire shop. their answer to all of this was they don t make the rules they just follow them. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE !

Very nice and professional people. From the lady behind the counter to the techs & mechanics. Worked my car and truck in on the same day without an appt. Good to know they're there in case you need them again. I'm very happy with the service and recommend them to whomever reads this.

They were knowledgeable, up-front and fast. Went out of their way to accommodate a specific request I had. Didn't try to sell me on a bunch of unnecessary work. They got me in and out, and my car is running great. I'll definitely return for future service and work.

Just went in for an inspection at the Lakeside location. Quick and easy, but right when I got in my car, I saw cigarette ash on my carpet and it smelled like cigarettes in my car. Totally unprofessional, if you have asthma like I do, I suggest you steer clear of this place. Debating on whether I should call and have them fix it.

Never available. I live walking distance from this location and every time I have attempted to utilize their service it seems they always start their statements with we can t . Coupled with this they decide to take my vehicle during a previous visit and not call me upon completion. This resulted in the shop closing for the WEEKEND and me having no vehicle for the rest of the weekend. Take your business somewhere more professional and with better customer service.

Today I went to this place for oil change but I had to speak with a very disrespectful person who Identified himself as an owner of this place. To make it short, they broke the oil filter housing cap because they said it was too tight!!! however, after they did oil change and one of the employee named Joe I believe came to me and explained to me that he had to forcibly open the cap (and placed it back) and never told me that they will charge me for the cap. At the end the owner started arguing with me with a very disgusted and irrational tone and pointing his fingers while talking just for the cap which was not my fault, they shouldn't be changing it if they couldn't open it. I am going to buy this part and will never go to this place again. (Not to forget the Mechanics were nice people except the owner) I hope no one will experience such a bad experience in the future.

Great to find a place that will still repair a good tire and not try and sell you a new pair. Got me in and out quickly, and has Saturday hours. Spacious kid-friendly waiting room with free Keurig coffee.

They saved the day...as always. End of day I back out of my parking space. My tire is flat AND off the rim. I threw tire in boss's truck and took it to Seredni. In less than 30, tire is patched and I am headed back to put back on. Thanks guys! You're the best!

To make a very long story short I was told my hood was secured and safe to drive less than 5 min of driving my hood flew up and smashed my windshield. Joe which is the manager at this location has been extremely rude to me in the past but I went back there anyway because they had done with to my son's car. Anyway after my hood flew up I was able to pull over into a side road. When I was able to get it shut it did latch. Which means the technician that looked at it never even latched it. They sent me on my way in a death trap! And now my hood is 10 times worse than when it went to the shop. It functioned before and now does not. Left message for owner and if course no call back. Lawyer is the next step!!! Steer clear!!!

Reception was very good. Hadn't been there in a long time and took my car for an St Inspection on 25Jul at 4pm. To my surprise the car was ready in less than an hr.

I will never take another one of my vehicles to this place. Took one of my cars in last week for a state inspection and it was rejected for cloudy headlights, a light bulb in the back and a loose bumper cover. No problem right? I completely understood that and had no problem with it at all. Got all of those items fixed and took it back for the reinspection and one of the inspectors says oh I hear a noise under it do you mind if I take a look. Having never had a problem with them previously I told him okay and he came back and said that it needed a motor mount on the passenger side. It was rejected again for a different problem so he told me to go get that fixed and bring it back and he would put the inspection sticker on it. I did that took it back yesterday evening at about 3 p.m. and then they told me that the transmission mount needed to be replaced. In disbelief by this point once again I said okay took the car had the transmission output on and all was supposed to be fine. Surprise! Took it in this morning and now somehow overnight it has a worn lower passenger side control arm. Isn't it amazing how that happened overnight? However what bothers me even more is the fact that two different inspectors completely missed this problem. At this point I believe nothing that they say, the guy behind the desk was rude and told me he couldn't explain how the control arm messed up overnight and he didn't have an answer for it. Beware if you take your car in for an inspection at this place because it will come back with new problems every single time. One more note that I want to add the same inspector that looked at it last night and said it needed a transmission mount is the one that really expected it this morning and said it needs the control arm. These people are frauds and they will invent things wrong with your car just to wear out the time so they can reinspector it and find a whole new list of problems. I will never take any of my vehicle's back there again for any reason.

The mechanic damaged my truck while I was in the presence of two of the front end employees. The three of us witnessed the act. When I confronted the mechanic, he claimed that he did not do what we witnessed him do. When I took the matter to the front end staff (who witnessed the act) I was told that they (Seredni) did not do what we just witnessed and I was mistaken. Thank God I had enough sense to just walk away and not act out on my first instinct. It would not have been pretty. I have had nothing but continued related problems and additional costs as a result of this experience. Avoid the Lakeside location like the plague! Go see Augie Seredni at his Mechanicsville location. He will treat you right.
