I went to Murphy for him to change my brake pads... And mane oh boy he did them so fast and for a real cheap price. Best decision I made instead of going to an actually dealership. He is very professional kind and Genuine and knows exactly what he is doing. If you need an mechanic he is the guy you need to call..

We were hit with a check engine light in Richmond at 7am on a Sunday with 6 hours left on our road trip home from FL to NJ. Murphy s was the only auto shop open. We got in touch with Kris who left breakfast early to come meet us at his shop to help. Kris diagnosed and fixed our car within an hour and a half and got us on our way. We made it home with no issues. Kris is extremely knowledgeable about cars, engines etc and explained everything he was doing, with us, so we could learn. His shop is a bit unassuming but don t let that deter you, Kris was excellent, honest, fair and genuinely cares about helping us. Can t recommend his shop enough. Thanks Kris!

Kris was reasonably priced and personable. I'd definitely do business with him again. He is a 1 man show but 2 days was quick considering the work he had to do!

Great guy with a small shop that does fantastic repair work. Lower than average prices, quick response to emergency work. He replace my catalytic converter this past weekend, and when it didn't quite fit, he made a quick cut and weld to make it work. I'll take my vehicles to him every time.

Driving by myself through the area around 6:30 pm and my car went into limp mode with lots of dash lights. Googled and found Murphy s Auto repair, thank God, open until 10 pm. He diagnosed and fixed my car and I was back on the road in less than an hour, and at a great price (even though I was at his mercy). I only wish there was better signage and lights, but with GPS I found him.

Kristopher was freaking awesome. I got stranded with the family yesterday night while raining and got my insurance to tow the vehicle to his shop. He was about to close and still came out waaay past his business hours to take a look at my vehicle and run some checks. And gave us suggestion. He even allowed us to keep our vehicle overnight at his location until I was able to get it towed in the morning to a BMW shop. Honest and trust worthy mechanic and did not give us an expensive charge for his service.

I brought my 95 Chevy k1500 to him to do some repairs because my truck needed a lot done I told him take his time and he made it his project and he got it done in the time I ask could it be done and he did it all for a reasonable price i recommend him to anyone hands down all the shops wouldn t fix it but he surely did a lot to make my truck ready

This man's customer service is terrible. He makes excuses, doesn't get the parts you need for your car, he literally said "I have a life, I'm going home" after having the car for more than 1.5 weeks. Can't make an eta for anything. ALSO, two weeks later the transmission just dies, clutch, flywheel, pressure disk, friction disk, driveshaft, cylinder cover and a hose all are done for. Having to spend 3k for repairs.

I would recommend using Murphy's Auto Repair LLC. Mr. Murphy was very professional and had my vehicle back to me quickly. Chris kept in contact with me to let me know what was going on with my vehicle. He was amazing to work with and the best priced in town.

This is two reviews. Google wouldn t allow me to post another so I updated my first.JUNE 2023 (2/2)Helpful guy with fair prices. He changed my tire, rotated, and gave me an oil change. Really responsive. I would recommend of course that s why I had him work on my vehicle a second time. I ll definitely use his services again! Everything from my first review applies.JANUARYish 2023 (1/2)My van wouldn't start when I came out of 7Eleven this afternoon. I called Murphy's Auto Repair and he (Kris I assume from the other reviews) came out to meet me immediately even though it was New Year's Eve.He checked things out for me and did some general maintenance things that really needed to be done. Once my van was running let me know what needed to be done immediately, what should probably be done soon, and what could be done later down the line.A knowledgeable guy, who is prompt and responsive, while being friendly and fair with prices. I am picking up a part to have him replace on my van tomorrow (even though he said it could wait) since he gave such a fair price!Thanks again!! 10/10Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

Kris helped tremendously after my car died on I-64 @ night. I had a tow coming, but wanted a shop near airport since only place w/ rental car open. Found these great reviews; you can believe every word! He answered this old farm woman's frantic call, waited @ his shop 1/2 hour after closing. When I could return, he was kind, smart & affordable in all he did. Cannot thank him enough! My 1st google review ever.

For my entire life with dealing with auto repair shops I have never been able to honestly say that I trusted a single one of them till now. Kris is extremely knowledgeable and even worked with my schedule to get several issues taken care of. I can honestly say that this is one of those mechanic shops that you always heard your grandfather talk about. I have taken multiple vehicles to be serviced even a vehicle that had a failed inspection. The place that I got it inspected quoted me over 700$ to fix all my issues. Kris was able to get that number down by over half. Great service, completely transparent, convenient, and affordable. 5/5 stars. Our minivan's electrical system started acting up. It started with the radio and that eventually led to the radio draining the battery. I took it to Murphy's and they were able to confirm the electrical problem was indeed in the radio. What I really respect is they are clear about what they will and won't do -- they won't just tell you yes and mess up your car. Absolutely ethical and affordable as well.Service: Electrical

Had a gas leak back at the gas tank. Very hard to get to. Needed the tank to be dropped. It was repaired in very short time for a very reasonable price! He's on my list for any future repairs.
