11/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! After dealing with a local auto shop outside of the city for 4 days with no progress and days missed from work, I called Midas on Boulevard in a state of desperation to get my car diagnosed and fixed. Kevin (I believe was his name) was incredibly down to earth and told me he could fit me in same day and have my car back to me by the afternoon. They delivered. Not only did they diagnose all of my issues, but they walked me into the garage and showed me everything wrong with my car. They were nothing but informative. They quoted me $400 less than the initial shop and got my car back to me in the same day. At checkout they even threw in a free oil change as it was my first time in the shop. I could not be more grateful and will be using them for future repairs. Good human beings providing good service.

Love them!! They showed me exactly what was wrong with my car and walked me through what part they needed to order and how much everything would cost. I knew exactly what to expect to pay up front and everyone was so nice. I felt like they were genuinely trying to help me and not upsell me anything like other places I ve been to.

Today I went in having break problems, Midas is the the company that replaced my breaks initially, but they did offer excellent guidances, and took care of me. I couldn t ask for a better customer service experience.

Took my car in for an oil change, inspection, filter replacement, brake light replacement. They found an apparent oil leak and were gonna charge me 2100 total! Cost me 450 bucks without fixing the oil leak. Took it somewhere else for a second opinion, the shop tightened my gasket free of charge. Never doing business with Midas ever again.

Took a vehicle in for state inspection; was rejected for a leak in rack and pinion system and was given a quote over $1700.00 to fix. Called local respectable repair shops and got two quotes for same repair just over $1000.00. Midas quote was way too high for both parts and labor and suggest other customers to get additional quotes when facing major repairs to insure not over paying. Worth extra time to shop prices.

Staff is very nice and professional. Loaner vehicle if needed. Kudos to Brandon showed me what I needed and didn't and saved me money as well. I'm quite sure I will have my vehicle serviced there in the future. Had a minor issue and went back and it was taken care on the spot. Thank you.

Get a second opinion.....Had diagnostic run on my car after my check engine light came on. Code P1450. Decided to drop off my car here to have it fixed since my job is within walking distance, and said it should be ready by the end of the day.... They had to run another diagnostic despite already having the code, which cost $198.88+tax. I figured, whatever, I'm here, I need this done bc I've got two kids and need my car.... by the end of the day they called and gave me two different diagnostic codes.... and stated the work that needed to be done, which was replacing my entire emissions system..... costing $1456+tax..... that just didn't sit right with me, so I took my car back. Dropped it off at our local mechanic even though I knew I'd be without my car for a day or two BUT I knew they would be honest with me. They were shocked to hear what Midas said needed to be done. They agreed that it had to do with the emissions, but couldn't believe they were trying to replace the entire system. They ran their diagnostic which pulled the code P1450, plus another. Replaced a tube, replaced a valve and voila, my car is fixed. Total cost $459.27. Trust your local mechanic. They run their business off of integrity.... not money.

I ve always had great service at both the Short Pump and Colonial Heights locations. Thanks to their partnership with the Red Cross blood drive, I ve discovered this newest location on the Boulevard in Richmond. Midas partnership with Feed More and the Red Cross make them my first choice for automotive needs.

These guys are the best! On multiple occasions, they haven't charged me for looking at or fixing something simple. Their work is always done perfectly and they are incredibly flexible on everything. These guys will be my go-to place from here on our.

Usually I have a good experience with this location. However, I recommended a family member to use them for an oil change while they were visiting today. We made an appointment and told us that the service would be done that same day and they would call us. No phone call and they closed, leaving my family stranded since they do not open until Monday. They should have at least left a courtesy call if they did not get to the vehicle today. Please do better.UPDATE: They called us, apologized, and opened the store to let us retrieve the vehicle. The lady I talked to on the phone was really nice & so was the lady working whenever I went to drop the truck off. We still ended up leaving & not getting anything done bc the prices were outragous! Now maybe it's just the fact that I've never taken my vehicles to a shop before, I've always bought the parts & done the work myself, so I'm not aware of how they're usually priced. But $900/shop or $350/diy..... I may regret my choice later on but thats for another day :) great customer service with scary prices!

I was initially frustrated that I was quoted a price over the phone for my oil change that was different from what I received at checkout. Tanya was very helpful. She explained to me why my vehicle needed a blend instead of conventional and how it could improve some of the issues my car had been having. She honored a discount for me as well. Her customer service is always top notch! The waiting area is comfortable and they run on time when I have an appointment. Thank you Tanya!Services: Tires, Oil change

Friendly staff and very professional, gave me free tyre rotation with paid oil change , highly recommended.the waiting room has coffee and water and also provided with magazines, TV.. had a peaceful time waiting there.

Shockingly upscale facility. Workers are reputable and communicate each job they do through photos. Tire repairs are done with interior patches which is great. Fair pricing for quality work.

Roland is fantastic! He got me in and out within 2 hours, the same afternoon I called needing my front tires changed and an alignment. The experience was quick and comfortable and I felt like he had my best interests in mind. I was in a time crunch and the service provided was a lifesaver. Big thank you to the whole staff. I would highly recommend this location and will be back for my next oil change and inspection, as well as any other automotive needs in the future.

Midas consistently offers superior customer service and I am thankful that I have a place with a team I can trust. I am confident that they have a team of service technicians who are the best in the business.Our family has used the Short Pump location for over 15 years and now that I have moved downtown I am grateful to have the Scott's Addition location I can go to. I needed to get my car inspected and was able to make a same day appointment and it was done while I waited in their clean and comfortable waiting area. My husband and I took both of our cars here to get multiple repairs. When we arrived everyone was super nice and friendly. After doing a diagnostic on his car, the manager Brittany came and talked to us about what needed to be done and the total cost of everything. It was out of our price range but she was willing to work with us and helped us apply for financing options. She went above and beyond to help us and make sure our cars are safe to be on the road, especially with our newborn. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to get work done on their cars.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I ve been taking my car to Midas for almost a decade. I have always gotten great service, and the one time I had an issue and wrote feedback to the owner, Mark Smith himself immediately called me to address it. Any time I tell them I don t want a service done, they listen instead of trying to nickel and dime me. They also intentionally hire women to work at their locations to make the space more welcoming to female customers. Very happy to be a longtime Midas customer!

Came to this car shop because of convenience. They told me I had an oil leak with many other problems under the engine that needed to be replaced. the total came out to over $ 7,000. I took my car to the dealership I got it two years ago because I have warranty to engine problems.. come to find out the items Midas was trying to charge me was unplugged. And the other parts were not connected. Idk what they were looking at.Services: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

The first time I went here it was great. The white manager guy (sorry I don t know his name because he was great) told me midas could not complete the work and I should take the car back to the dealership. But They had did a temporary fix for my car and told me to come back later on that week to check again. The manager did not charge me for this visit and I was highly impressed with midas. I did not wait that long either.I come back on Friday and it was a white women and she seemed very overly stressed but I gave grace. I had setup an appointment and she asked me why was I back? I told her I was told to come back. They checked my car again and wanted me to pay $800. I told the lady just a few days ago I was told you all couldn t even do the work that was needed but now you can?. She said they could. She told me they could do it in an hour and then came back and said they needed my car until Tuesday. I denied the service and left.I went to my actual dealership and was told it was just a battery issue and not the big issue that Midas tried to charge me $800 for.They also tried to charge someone I know $500 for a broken headlight when in actuality the bulb just went out and we fixed it in seconds.The place is clean but definitely be careful when they quote you a high price expense.

I had to leave town in a couple of hours, and my tire went completely flat. I went to this place about 30 minutes before they closed, and by some miracle they had a tire for my car and replaced it, and I was able to leave town and make my flights for the holidays. This place is great and one of the best auto shops I've ever used. The staff is friendly, prompt and informative. Never had an issue there. I love the detailed text messaging they provide (with pictures) throughout the service process. Took my car in this morning for a loose undercarriage panel without an appointment and they had it fixed within 10 minutes!Services: Auto body & trim repair, Battery, Oil change

The upfront staff was very helpful and friendly; however I neglected to ask how much an oil change would cost and was shocked to be charged over $100 when they were finished. This was a four-year-old car with low mileage and no problems -- just a basic oil change. My advice: ask the price in advance!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Bought 4 new tires. Everyone i came in contact with was friendly and professional. Brittany was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure to put me in the courtesy car because my car wasn't safe to drive. Picked it up today. Great experience. I'm a travel nurse and put a lot of mileage on my car. I highly recommend them for all the services the provide. I only wish I got the names of all the staff. Ty all.

My wife and I found ourselves in this shop unexpectedly after finding a nail in our right rear tire after seeing a film at MovieLand down the street. We were on a tight schedule to pick up our child from school and get out of town for the weekend. While it took longer than we'd hoped because they didn't have the replacement tire on-site, folks were able to accommodate our problem with no appointment, and even loaned us a car to pick up our son from school while they worked on the car. Really nice, clean shop also, by the way.Service: Tires
