The great service team at Ironwood has taken care of my 2009 Toyota Yaris (Pearl) since I came back to RVA. Clean facilities and fast quality work! Excellent experience. Highly recommended for Honda and Toyota. Thanks

Ironwood is basically the gold standard that other shops should aspire to. The facility itself is great, the staff is nothing but friendly, and whether it's maintenance or a more major issue, they will do what they can to help you. Communication, both for your appointments and for any issues, is top notch. I'm not really a review writer by any stretch, but the staff treat me like a long time customer even though I've only been in the city for a year or so. Couldn't be happier.

I couldn t be more pleased with the care and service I received. My engine completely locked up and they addressed every necessary thing that needed to be done to my car. I would like to give Sarah a HUGE thank you for being so informative and making this process as stress free as possible. I just moved to Richmond and use to go to a shop that I thought I could trust, but to find out they actually didn t fix a lot of issues I thought they had. I am so thankful I found Ironwood. They definitely will be my go to for any services I may need.

I can t say enough good things about this shop. I ve been bringing my car here for years and the experience is great every time. Their new space has a huge waiting area where I can work while my car is getting worked on and the staff is just so kind. Thank you to everyone at Ironwood for always taking care of me!

After a terrible experience at another shop in town, I started going to Ironwood. Every time, it's exceeded my expectations on repair turnaround, responsiveness, and education of what's going on in with my vehicle. They also have the only automotive shop waiting room that I can genuinely say is a pleasure to wait in for a couple hours.

So I literally found Ironwood from googling shops in my area, lol. I needed a state inspection and turns out there was like $1,700 worth of issues. No one else would take me on an appointment basis but them, it s all first come first serve at other places. They were so transparent in that not everything on that list needed to be done to pass, but down the road would need it. They fit me in just two days later and got it done!! They are incredibly nice, and have possibly the nicest automotive shop I ve ever seen, haha. I can t express how much of an pleasure it was to work with them. Anytime I need car work done (hopefully not often .) I m taking it to Ironwood!!

THE BEST!!Why mess with any other place when we have the best right here in RVA. Top tier - service, hospitality, people, place, and atmosphere.It s honest to find honest people when it comes to repairs let me save you some time. IT S THEM!!I tell everyone I know about this place. They service and maintain all 4 vehicles for my family.

Aaron and Kayla at Ironwood automotive reached out to us to have a few items hauled away from their property. Aaron has more then 10yrs of automotive experience. The waiting area is like no other automotive shop, it s super clean and great for people who need to continue working of their laptop. Beyond disappointed & heart sick in this shop & most of the staff.My son has a 2008 Mazda RX-8. This is his 1st car, & his dream car. He bought it himself with the money he saved from working part-time as a night stocker with Homedepot in Chester & college in Midlothian. But lately, his car has been having issues staying running. Although he's replaced a whole long list of things anywhere from the battery all the way to the eccentric shaft sensor because my husband was a diesel mechanic in the USMC & US Army. Only switched career paths to I.T. ( because it's kinder on the body!) And I myself took Basic Mechanics in high school. So we insisted our kids learn & know the ins & outs about their vehicles. "Knowledge is power!" When our son's mazda stalled out on the way to his shift at Homedepot Friday evening at the stoplight in Hopewell & wouldn't start back up. We decided to get it towed home. Since my son still had to work, I decided to help him by doing research to see what local shops could help. Due to it being a weekend, I was aware of the fact that most, if not all, shops were closed until Monday. I Googled a very specific question, which was CERTIFIED DIAGNOSTIC SHOP FOR ROTARY ENGINE NEAR ME?The first shop that popped up was (Ironwood.) I took time reading quite a few of their reviews. I was hopeful that they could help. So I decided to write them an email letting them know of our situation & asking if this was something that they could possibly do a diagnostic test on? I left my phone number in my email so they could reach me if needed be. When Monday came I received a text from Kyra. She is really the only nice person there. She said that the shop could do a certified diagnostic test. It would cost $60.00. I passed the text to my son who called them the following morning to make sure everything was still good. They said it was. So we began the slow process of driving his car from Prince George to Richmond going 40 miles per hour. Once we arrived, we go inside & the guy there starts telling my son that he's probably going to need a new engine, yet he hasn't even looked at his car, run any diagnostic tests or heard it. He then goes on to tell my son & me that he is the rotary engine specialist for ironwood. That it will cost $60.00. We say we know. However my son has college so he has to go. We will be back later. He takes his number. As we leave & get in my SUV my son goes to get something out of his car, the guy comes over to him & says that he can't run a diagnostic test on it. Won't give him a reason. So my son comes to get me. I tell my son to get into the car. There's 1 or 2 reasons why they won't run a diagnostic test after we email and called and got the green. This company is a homophobic against people different then them. Since my son is gay transgender or they lie about what's really wrong with people's vehicles. Since we have basic knowledge in machanics, then they couldn't mess us over for a new engine, plus labor. Either way. If waited for a few days to write this, as in not to write this all pissed off. Please be careful with this shop. It's a facade. We ended up having to tow my son's car home. After an email I wrote talking about our issues was received, they texted back acknowledging this was something they could do. We followed it up with a phone call the morning of before leaving. I kept the communication records. They are not even worth 1 star. Just be careful.

Super great, honest people; they fix what they need to & don't try to lie to sell you more services. Not to mention Sarah is always super kind and helpful. This is the only place I trust with my car!!

Brought my vehicle here a couple times now and am impressed with the speed, quality, pricing, and great service. Their new garage and waiting area is very clean and well designed with refreshments if you have to wait. Highly recommend for car maintenance in RVA.

We ve only brought our Toyota in to them once so far but we ll be back the next time we need them. They are honest and professional and I don t think I ve ever seen a shop floor as clean as theirs.

Take my truck and my wife s car here for all our maintenance and repairs. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy staff. Glad to have a shop like this we can rely on. /

Terrible homophobics that refuse to diagnose my car because I was gay after they were bragging so much about being having a rotary engine specialist. Just don't understand why people like this exist money is money no matter who it's coming from. It's a real shame we will have bigots in the world today.Edit: They admitted to saying they are not going to work on it because I was gay. Not to mention they tried to sell me a whole new engine when I first came in.

A lot of good things to say about this place and the owners.They gave me a very fair rate on some suspension work and an alignment, and even offered to help me source used parts for a bigger repair coming up (steering rack). Don't be afraid to take your Yotas here!

Come in to get your car fixed, stay for the ambiance and feeling of being surrounded and taken care of by competent people. I was so taken off guard by the speed, professionalism and atmosphere that i had to ask they person helping me "Are you all for real?".Oh and they had me in and out in an hour and half and sent me on my way totally confident in their work.

I ve taken my Honda accord to Ironwood a couple of times now and the experience has been moons and mountains of excellent. Aaron, Sarah, Kyra, everyone is extraordinarily kind and logical. Not only are they the fairest, but they re the best garage in the eastern coast. If you own a Honda/Acura or Toyota/Lexus you need to bring it here and nowhere else. If you own any other brand, bring those 4 wheels on down as well! 100/100 stars.

This was my first visit and I couldn t have been more pleased with the experience and service provided for my 2019 Hyundai Accent. They were able to diagnose my brake issue and found that my rotors were warped. They originally quoted me a higher amount but found a set of rotors in stock that were of similar quality and ended up saving me nearly $100. They are genuine people who will bend over backwards to help you out in addition to their excellent communication and prompt turnaround in having my vehicle done and back on the road. Unfortunately since I live in chester, I won t be a regular guest (which bugs me especially seeing how nice the waiting area looked) but I definitely highly recommend this shop to anyone in that area.

My first time here and needed an oil change, cabin & air filter, tires rotated, and brake fluid changed. When I walked in, I didn t think I was at the right place as the waiting area/front desk didn t looked like a car shop, more so like an hotel-vibe. It was clean and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye.Sarah was very pleasant at the front desk and listened to an inquiry I had with my brakes. My brakes were squeaking which is odd for a relatively new 2021 Honda accord. They were able to find the issue (apparently a leaf was in the brake caliper). Overall, highly recommend as everyone there was very friendly, services were great, prices are within range, and I never once felt uncomfortable. Great place!

Ironwood is my new go-to place for auto repair and maintenance. Someone backed into my 2018 Honda Accord about a year ago with a visible puncture to the front bumper. Come to find out there was damage to one of my headlights that didn t present itself until months of water intrusion to the assembly. Ironwood quoted me a fair price (less than the Honda dealer!) with a 1-day turnaround once the part was delivered.All within 5 days of a planned drive across country to Phoenix, Ironwood had the new headlight delivered and installed saving us the worry of having a major problem during a long trip.The shop is wonderful to visit and the team is great to work with I ll never go anywhere else!

I couldn't recommend the folks at Ironwood Automotive highly enough. They took care of everything I needed in a timely manner with consistent, clear communication. Sarah explained what had to be done, what needed to be done, and what probably will need to be done soon on my Toyota Prius. I never felt pressured into things I didn't need but did feel helped to know what would keep my car safe as my family and I drive around Richmond.Fair and transparent pricing. Secure and convenient after-hours pick up. Seriously, give these folks your business and you'll never take it anywhere else.

THE BEST. Literally the only place I take my cars/trucks. Honest, genuine and good humans that happen to be stellar mechanics and have never once made me feel dumb for asking tons of questions or panicking about something with my very old truck. They ve never tried to overcharge or add on extraneous services like so many shops I ve used. Comfy and well decorated waiting space and beautiful shop, as well. Seriously if you have a Toyota, these are your dudes.

Took my girlfriends honda crv there and the prices i was qouted me were crazy....why would i pay $400 for a part that cost $180 at the dealer.....never have anything else done here....Richmond ford did the job $300 less then your shop and same day.Used you in the past while back but here lately its been very high your prices with your parts and cant figure out why the big mark up.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Vehicle Inspection

I come here regularly to get my car serviced, everything from state inspection to oil changes and whatever else my regular maintenance requires. I drive a Toyota Corolla.They have great pricing and are communicative about concerns without being pushy to get you to spend like what I used to encounter at the dealership service centers. They do great work in a timely fashion.

Wow! Absolutely wow! I have never been to a mechanic shop with such amazing service! Not to mention, their prices are reasonable and the waiting room was like out of an HGTV show; clean and comfortable! The receptionist was so kind and wanted to help in any way she could! I will definitely be going back with the other cars I have. I had originally went in for just an oil change but, I wound up getting an inspection and a tire rotation after they reviewed my car. I didn't even know my inspection was due! Fantastic, amazing, basically perfect, 10/10! Will be recommending them and only them moving forward!Services: Tire rotations, Oil change
