Fritz's car care gave me an honest review of what tires my car needed to save me money. They did an amazing job cleaning all the pine needles out of my car so it wouldn't flood. I have ten pine trees on my property. Pine needle extraction is no small task.

Lied saying they work on your type of car. Only does diagnostic on car and charges you but refused to fix two of my cars claiming its not worth fixing. So to test them. I ask how much to repair the control arms? Oh that's not worth doing is the reply I got. No licensed mechanic. Stay away unless u want to waste your time and money.

I went here a few years when I was in school just for a state inspection. When I returned to pick my car up, I found that work had been done without my approval and my car was not released to me until I paid them for said work, these people are CROOKS and cannot be trusted do not use them for anything!

I went in on a whim early in the morning because my car was overheating. They were able to diagnose and fix the issue the same day.The mechanic was helpful at answering all questions. Their team even did spot checks on a few other areas of my vehicle.Overall, great service and very reasonable price. I will be back again.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fantastic service from Glen and the Fritz s Car Care team. Although this was my first time going to Fritz s, I don t see myself doing business with any other shop! They were very clear and communicative (which was especially helpful for someone with little car knowledge). Overall, fantastic service and will also be recommending them to others!

Took my car to Fritz after having issues with the hybrid battery for several weeks. Glen diagnosed the issue on the spot and was so nice and helpful in explaining the issue and options for repair. He was even amiable when I needed to stop by a second time to get more information on my car's issue. Will definitely use Fritz for all my car repairs in the future!Service: Battery

My car needed a battery replacement urgently and Fritz was able to fit me in quickly! I really appreciated how the mechanic popped the hood with me there and demonstrated the condition of the battery.I cannot appreciate enough how thoughtful they were and how they explained everything.

During my last visit, it was noted that the tires were worn out. Fritz's Car Care sells tires. They set me up with TOYO Extensa HP II. It's only been a few days, but I am very happy with these tires: quiet & smooth. The reviews suggest that they are perfect for Richmond, VA.I trust Fritz's Car Care to do a competent job maintaining and repairing my vehicles at a fair price. I appreciate that when something is wrong they figure out what the problem is an fix just that. Fritz's sells tire too.If you live in Richmond, VA (area code 23221), Fritz's Car Care is awesome because you can drop your car off and walk back home. I guess you could Uber, but either way it is convenient.I enjoy going to Fritz's because there are often pristine antique cars in the lot. Many collectors in RVA bring their cars to Fritz's.

We have used Fritz's for over 35 years. If I go there to get my oil change I know they will check everything to be sure I'm safe on the road. Quality work done efficiently and without high dealer style prices

I am very happy with the service at Fritz's Car Care. I work in the neighborhood and having Fritz's so close makes it easy to drop my car off before work and pick it up before the day is done. Very helpful and for a reasonable price. I have been going here for 2 years and I think I will continue for years to come.

I definitely jumped on here to make a review very preemptively considering I have not taken my car into the shop yet but talking to Glen on the phone was such a good experience. As someone who gets intimidated trying to talk to car people and trying to pretend I know what I'm talking about, Glen was very amiable and helpful over the phone and went the extra mile to reach back out to me to clarify some things. All that and a very reasonable price.

We have been very satisfied with Chris's Car Care. Our home is in Illinois, but our daughter has been going to VCU for the past two years. Although I know a lot about car repair, she is too far away for that to do much good when her car needs work. She had some predatory experiences with another shop in town, and then luckily we found Fritz's. They are honest, competent, thorough, and fairly priced. They make sure you know what work needs to be done, and do not hunt up unnecessary work to perform and bill you for. This will be the shop for us until our daughter graduates.

Have had three car inspections on two 2006 vehicles and not once did he try to get any "extras." Also had a few problems like ignition, windows, brakes. All services were honest and well done. I am a customer for life. Oh by the way, stop whining about the 20 dollar minimum on credit cards. He is a small business owner and doesn't need to pay the percentages as they add up quickly.

I had to have my car rekeyed, when I called he said $250. Had it towed and he fixed it the next day. When I go to pick it up he tells me that's it's almost $550. I feel like I got swindled. It was done a lot faster than expected and it was done right. But it was way more than it should have been. After calling around, to multiple other places, $250 should have been the max.Edit: when I first called I was told $200-250, then when I said that I was planning on spending a good amount to get anything that needed to be fixed fixed, he said "oh ok then" then after having my car towed there he didn't give me a quote again. He called to say that they wouldn't have it done until that Friday most likely. I asked for an oil change as well but was not quoted a price on that. So yeah I was super surprised that the price was so high. I did not want to get my car towed AGAIN and possibly wait even longer just to go somewhere else. So yeah I agreed to have the work done but had no idea that it would be THAT much.

Went in for an inspection, was given a list of issues that needed to be addressed in order to pass. Some was legitimate, but when told 'left sway bar is loose.' I became very hesitant. I also had a busted horn fuse. At the time I was not aware of the fuse issue, but was told I could cost anywhere from $400-700. Proceeded to take my car to a different shop where the issues that needed to be addressed were done so. No 'left sway bar' BS, horn fuse replaced, and the inspection sticker I needed from the get go.

Easy to schedule an appointment. Quick service, affordable prices and they fixed a problem that another mechanic caused.

The credit card is not acceptable under USD 20. The shop has not notified the customer in advance. Unbelievable, the simple state inspection took almost 3 hours in the early morning, and there is nowhere I can go without my auto. It is not a good experience.

I've been taking my car here for about 3 years now, so I'm a regular customer. They don't recommend fixes unless you actually need them. I feel confident dropping off my car here.
