The service we received on our Hyundai at Forest Hill Garage was professional and courteous, as usual! We appreciate your attention to detail. Our wipers, for one have worn out this rainy season. I felt much safer driving in the rain. Plus the reassurance you all gave us when you thoroughly checked out our car to ensure our safety means more than you know. Thank you very much for your consistently.

I've been taking my vehicles to Forest Hill Garage for quite a few years now. They came highly recommended by my neighborhood group, and now I am highly recommending them. I feel like they do not take advantage of me because I am female. They explain their findings and what they think should be done. The owner and employees are very personable, very nice, and they make every attempt at getting your vehicle back to you ASAP. The prices are competitive with other mechanics. I always enjoy waiting for my vehicle when I can, cause Chris and I could talk all day! Only place I will take my vehicle to. I would give them more stars if I could!

I've been a customer for years and I'm an old man who has dealt with bad service as well as some good over many years. Forest Hill Garage does an outstanding job. They will not try to sell you repairs you may not need just to raise the bill. Their prices are more then fair and the work is top quality. Chris, at the front desk is a veteran and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend.

Awesome experience. The staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I would recommend for everyone to take the vehicles to them. I know if I have any further issues, they are who I will be taking my car to. Great job!!

Could not recommend this place more highly! Excellent service and very friendly atmosphere. As someone who knows nothing about cars, I have always received fair, honest work from them - they make recommendations and talk me through the priority level. I first went to them after receiving a failed inspection and expensive quote to fix the issues from a different shop, forest hill garage evaluated it, said it wasn t actually a problem and passed the inspection.

I've be going to Forest Hill Garage for several years now. The guys there are always kind and want to take care of you and your vehicle. I've never felt like I'm being taken advantage of or upsold on a service that's not needed. I recommend them to anyone looking for a garage!

Unprofessional. Lead mechanic trying to leave at 415. Our vehicle was still in the bay. My wife dropped off vehicle at 745 am. First person there...First come,first serve. Hahahaha. Only did 1/3 of what was asked be done and what was said would be done. Thanks for not really finding out whats wrong with my heat and defrost! Cant wait for the rest of winter!!!!our first time there, probably last, we may not be cool or local enough

This shop is great. Service is good and fast, the price is reasonable, and they're not looking for small stuff to ding you with and create an upcharge, unlike the shop across the street.

My car was giving some strange sound. I took it to them. They troubleshoot the issue. I was asked if I had recently worked on brakes. Actually, I had control arms replaced. They suggested me to go to same place because while replacing control arms, they left dush shield loose. They didn't charge me any money for troubleshooting.

Absolutely awful these guys don t know what they are doing, I dropped my truck off with no brakes comes back to me with an electrical problem! No prior issues with electrical, they first were positive that it was my battery and in fact they were wrong and I knew that so I let them looked stupid while I fixed my positive connection something that they clearly messed with because it was never touched until I noticed it tampered with. All in all they think they know what they are doing but they don t they are cheap for a reason because they don t diagnose real problem even if it is something that they weren t told to work on they just assume it s one thing and don t bother with actually finding the tire issue

I went here to get a state inspection because it's located fairly close to my house. Soon after I received a call saying that my rear brake pads are bad and that it would cost $350 to replace them. The whole situation sounded fishy to me since the car didn't have many miles on it. Also, they called me 10 minutes after dropping it off which seemed like not enough time to get the wheels off and actually check the brake pads, yet they already had an estimate to fix them.I refused the fix and opted to do it myself. I bought new brake pads and when I was replacing the new ones, I realized the old pads were fine. They had over a 1/4" of material left (shown in the picture). They need to have over 1/16" to pass inspection in Virginia.I went back and got the inspection taken care of and then I showed them the old brake pads and asked them why my vehicle failed inspection. They guy was somewhat apologetic and paid me back $20 for the inspection, saying he wasn't the one that did the inspection. I appreciated this and that's why I'm leaving 2 stars as opposed to 1. The person that did inspect my vehicle the first time was named Joseph Henderson.I'm just leaving this review to let others know that Forest Hill Garage might have some honest mechanics, but from my experience it looks like they have some dishonest ones as well that will fail your vehicle's inspection for no reason and immediately charge an obscene price to fix a non-issue. Just a warning.

They are the best! They are so helpful, efficient; and take great care of my vehicle. Other places have tried to charge me for repairs that were unnecessary, but when I bring my vehicle here they give me an honest assessment, at times even advising that no work (or much less costly work) is needed. I trust them. They re fun to chat with, too.

The guys at Forest Hill Garage are straightforward, honest and extremely helpful. They accommodated me well when my car needed two visits within the week, and gave me solid advice about repairs. Chris gave me his honest opinion about my car s condition, and didn t attempt to upsell or sugarcoat. They do great work here!

Got my State Inspection here, well my car's. I'm actotal newbie to Richmond. I called a day or two ahead to find out best times to come to avoid having to leave my car and minimize wait time. I followed the instructions, and everything was exactly as described. Great, down to earth staff; patient with newbies. Respectful of my time. If I needed repairs I would def trust Forest Hills Garage.

I went here 7 months ago cause my car was overheating massively. They assured me I need to replace my radiator. I dont know if they replaced the radiator. They charged me 750. The radiator had the orginal sticker from the manufacturer from 2011. Aside from this, whatever they did caused them to puncture my transmission fluid line. I called when it happened and left a voicemail. The car continued to overheat cause there was a leak that they couldnt find that continued to damage the car. I have since had to get rid of the car. The staff was nice but im unsatisfied with the serviceServices: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change
