Just got my beloved Expy back from English Auto Body and am so pleased! I had extensive body repairs done through my insurance. English AB worked with the adjuster- even when the bid doubled due to more extensive damage underneath. They dealt with the adjuster making things much easier for me!My car looks brand new and the paint matched perfectly! From the beginning I was treated like I was the most important customer- they took their time explaining things to me, communicated changes and did it all with excellent customer service!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I had a collision and I went to English Body Works for the repairs. Progressive had no contact after the initial call about the vehicle other then email correspondence, but English called and answered my calls with any questions or concerns I had. They were so professional always and the owner even came out to greet my husband and I personally when I picked my car up and showed me all the work and what they did. The work was wonderful and my car looks better then ever. They even gave me a thank you bag after work was completed. I would suggest English if you need any type of body work done. All around wonderful company.

Horrible place to have your car repaired, it s a mom and pop body shop . It s run by Johnny English his son Shane and a daughter. They are are all unprofessional and rude . If don t believe me, let them repair your car. My wife and I haven t ran up against characters of their level of nastiness in quite a while. You might spend a few more dollars for the car to be repaired, but some things are worth piece of mind. They don t know how to talk to customers your insurance company will end up getting deeply involved just get what you were suppose to receive, which is good quality repair work. The last time we had the privilege to deal with them was on June 26, 2023. We were told to shut up and leave their place of business once we paid for the minor work that was done. The owner Johnny English didn t want to give me my key are the receipt documents of the repairs, unless I provided him with my drivers license. He wanted to make a copy of the license, but my check had all of this information already on it. In 2005 we had major repairs done, do to an accident I was involved in. State Farm who represent the person that hit me was responsible for the cost of the repairs. I ended up returning several times for the services rendered, due to the incompetence and incomplete repair work. They know longer except State Farm or Geico. I wonder what happened with that relationship.

This business is ran by a family. A wonderful wonderful family. I had nothing but the best experience with them. They kept me in the loop on EVERYTHING! My vehicle looked new again. My truck was nice and clean when it was ready for pickup. Plus they gave me a gift bag. They were so nice. Best customer service I've had in years. I would definitely recommend. You Will Not Be Disappointed! I have brought all cars needing body repair to Johnny English and have been recommending him and his family at English Body Works for over 20 years. I won t go anywhere else. I appreciated that they took the time to explain everything that was needed and were able to work directly with the insurance company. What impresses me the most is always the attention to detail, their extensive knowledge, and did I mention incredibly friendly? This family takes great pride in their work and cares about their customers.. Oh, and I got a "goodie bag" when I picked up my car! A nice added touch! :)Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Johnny got our car back to us in less than two weeks. Other shops wouldn t even have been able to provide an estimate in that time frame. Car looks great. Great communication throughout the process.

Johnny English and his team are craftsman who take pride in their work. I see now why car enthusiasts like my neighbor recommended them. I had minor tree limb damage to my car but they treated me like a VIP. Since parts weren t holding up the job I got my car back in just over a week! Car was washed and vacuumed and even the tires were dressed! I would not hesitate to take a vintage or similar car for restoration work.

I had the most professional, kind hearted experience with English Body Shop.I have had not so good experiences when dealing with Auto repair shops, ughhhh BUT! fortunately for me I found a little great body shop and that shop is English Body Shop! My front bumper was cracked on my brand new car and it was fixed fast! Just amazingly and genuinely nice people that just fix your car and keep you smiling. Thank you soooooo much again! Oh and thank you so much for washing my car it was spotless!!! I was absolutely AMAZED by the whole experience from the beginning to the day my car was ready to be picked up.Service: Body & Trim

I waited a few days after getting my car back from being serviced by English. This is a family run business, and they've been around a long time. Everyone I interacted with here was kind, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond in explaining how things worked. I felt very well cared for, and my car came back looking and driving like a dream. English body shop was fantastic! I am so grateful to Johnny and everyone at the shop who took care of me! Not only did they repair my vehicle quickly -so that I could get it back to transport my family around, as it is our main vehicle - but he saved me money too! I am so thankful that the big body shops were full and we had the opportunity to work with English Body Works after my recent accident.Johnny and the team were awesome and kept us updated every step of the way, while also working with our insurance and adjuster. Terrible customer service tried to get a quote and the owner hung up on me because he said he didn t have time to price it. I ve never called anyone and got service like that it s terrible I have never wrote a review but it should be known how they treat people very rude

They did a fantastic job! Johnny and Shane both helped me greatly! I brought my truck in at 8am and it was done by noon! I am very thankful they were able to get the job done so quickly and at a very affordable price!

Great business that took care of me well. Needed my radiator, condenser, and front bumper replaced after hitting a raccoon. I expressed my urgency, as I had important plans to travel out of state soon. They worked hard and completed the job very quickly to make sure I could make it. They even washed and cleaned my car, and gave me a goodie bag and thank you letter upon payment! 10/10 recommend

I am one to give credit where credit is due. This family owned business definitely is awesome. Once you enter you get that at home feeling that you are part of the family and openly welcomed. I was told my car would be fixed between Thursday or Monday. I of course hoped for Thursday and was lucky they were able to deliver my car fixed by Monday. When I get there the son and dad are in the office with a smile and ready to delivery my car offering an extraordinary experience. To my surprise they also cleaned the inside of my car thoroughly and i could only imagine the craziness of trash and filth they had to deal with. So yes I am very thankful. Highly recommend English Body Works in Midlothian VA

Johnny English was so prompt and thorough. He was able to take me in right away for an Estimate, and finished my car two days ahead of schedule. I picked up my car, along with some goodies, only to find my car had been cleaned/ vacuumed for me!!! I have been needing to get it cleaned but couldn't find the time. I would recommend Mr. English to anyone that needs body work! I love the family business atmosphere!

I had my mirror knocked off my new car and took it to English. I can t say enough good things about the wonderful service. They were only a fraction of the cost that the dealership want, did quick and excellent work. The most impressive part of my experience was how they made me feel like I was part of the family. Excellent experience all the way around!!!

Very economical in their pricing. Made my car look like it was brand new after an expensive accident.They are the best body shop repair I ve had the pleasure of using and I highly recommend anybody to consider them. Everyone at English Body Works is AWESOME! They did a fantastic job on my car and my car was ready ahead of schedule. I automatically felt like one of the family when i stepped in and the owner was at the desk. He gave me updates on my car every step of the way. They even detailed my car and trust me with little ones, my car was a mess so that was no little task. I was given a very sweet thank you card and a goodie bag! I RECOMMEND ENGLISH TO ANYONE who needs collision work!!!

Had work done on my Subaru WRX after someone backed into it. Getting an estimate for repair was easy, and I got to meet the whole family from Johnny the owner to his wife who does the books, and then his son that said he d be doing the work on my car. I knew it was in good hands. They had a 3 day turnaround on the repair, and the fender looks better than it did before it was hit. When I picked it up they even presented me with a thank you card for my patronage, and a bag of goodies that I passed on to my kid.Everything you read about their phenomenal customer service, and impeccable body work is true. They ll definitely be getting my business from now on.

The young woman who washes and details the cars is just wonderful. Her attention to detail is impeccable. 10/10 rating for her, hands down the most amazing person in the world for sure. Besides that the Body Shop itself is a horrible place to have your car repaired and or detailed. The whole place is outdated and violates more health and safety regulations than I've ever witnessed in any kind of organizatio. I would NOT recommend them to anyone who is looking for a real company with value of health in their place of business. I recommend finding somewhere else where you can breathe without risking your lungs to black mold and years of caked dust and mildew covering every work station wall.

I've only been inside their front office, which was fine BTW, so idk what's up with that recent negative review about the inside of the place, the mold and whatnot. Which by the way, not sure why that would matter. Not like you're gonna hang out there while your car is getting done. As long as my car is fine, worked on correctly and is clean, then I'm fine.These people were as nice as can possibly be. I believe it's family owned also, which is usually nice. They went the extra mile anywhere they could and my car looks like nothing ever happened to it in the first place. I hit a deer (front, right side of car only) coming home from NY initially. So it needed some dent work, new headlight, new fender, hood straightened out a little on one side, etc. Wasn't horrible, but def. needed the work. They also cleaned my car a little on the inside (it hadn't been cleaned in a long time though, so it was dirtier than your average car) and cleaned my windows, the outside of my car and also because one of my tires was low in air, they actually just went and fixed that for me also. They didn't have to do these things, but you can tell that they want to. They want you to be as content as possible when you get your car back.It was kind of cute, they also even gave me a little gift bag, Idk if they do that all the time, but it was very nice and thoughtful. Some of the stuff I use/used also, like a pencil, pen, little notebook planner and some candy, haha. I've never had a car place do anything like that before. Again, they don't have to, but they want to, for an all-around nice experience. They don't take credit or debit though, so you gotta keep that in mind before you get anything done. If I needed to, I would probably just go and use this place again. No reason to look anywhere else.Service: Body & Trim

Absolute worst experience ever! I must say I was completely and utterly shocked at the type of service and level of care I received.Upon retrieving my vehicle I was surprised to find several mistakes. I have no body work experience, however these mistakes were blatantly obvious.The shop was supposed to replace a door skin and did not properly replace it, to the point where it vibrated upon opening and closing the door. The paint job was horrible, there were huge swirl marks where they painted. They also failed to replace a part that was included in the estimate. When I asked about the part, they shop insisted they replaced it, not knowing that I had marked the part in fear that they would try and pull a stunt such as this. After a few minutes of back and forth the shop owner became extremely irate, continued to lie about changing the part, yelled and screamed profanity because I accused him of lying (which he was) and called the police because I refused to leave after I stood there and allowed him to rant and rave.They insurance adjuster later confirmed that they did not in fact change the part and door panel was not correctly installed. The shop owner continued to blame his son for the inconsistent work on my vehicle.Do not waste your time here, unless you're not too concerned with the quality of work you will receive.

Excellent experience. Professional and friendly and made our vehicle look like new. They went the extra mile and cleaned our vehicle inside and out! Support local businesses and use English, you won t regret it.

Johnny and his Team have repaired my car on numerous occasions. I can speak to the quality and timeliness of their work. It's nothing short of perfection. My daughter and mother have both had their cars repaired there as well and have been very pleased with the results as well. And the friendly, down home atmosphere is genuine. This is truly a class act!

Excellent company! We have used English for years and referred our friends to them who are also return customers. They are 100% appreciative, trustworthy, fair and reliable. They have taken us through 4 teenaged drivers. Johnny will bend over backwards for you. Not a common experience for car repairs. Stellar in every way.
