Jay is incredibly friendly and sincere, and took the time to help me understand what was going on, how he's dealt with similar issues in the past, and what he was going to try and do--as well as what he ended up doing, how, and why. I felt very comfortable and confident leaving my car with him, after putting off finding a new mechanic for months because of previous bad experiences at other places. He managed to fit me in same day and was able to get my car fixed up by EOB. Exceptional service, reasonable pricing. I highly recommend this mechanic, and I will be back!

I had originally gotten my car's state inspection at another shop who said I needed my entire headlight assembly replaced. If you don't know a headlight assembly (at least for my vehicle) is around $200 or more and that is just for parts.When I brought it here they did a quick once-over and told me there were several things that could fix the problem without having to replace the whole thing. These options were a lot cheaper. But when I dropped my car off for a full diagnostic they ended up just re-inspecting it. The issue with my car: "Wow I really don't know why the last guy failed this"I can't complain about going from what I thought would be an over $600 dollar job to spending less than $100

I know enough about cars to get myself in trouble, but with my new job I just don't have the time to work on my own vehicle.The couple of times I needed a repair, I have know what was wrong before I brought it in for an estimate, and gave this shop plenty of opportunity to take advantage, but the only thing I have ever experienced was honest appraisals and fair pricing.I am a relatively new customer and I have finally found a shop I can trust and I don't say that lightly.I will definitely be a returning customer and without hesitation recommend Elliott Automotive

Time and again I've come here with me car and they've never failed me. Jay and the whole team are fair, considerate, dedicated, and extremely personable. When my car's engine and transmission went on the fritz, a dealership quoted me $4000 to replace the entire transmission. Elliot auto found and fixed the problem for less than a quarter of that price. As long as I live in Richmond, this is where I'm taking my car.

Fantastic shop and great service! I would definitely recommend taking your car here. My service advisor was very knowledgeable and kept me informed along the way while my vehicle was being repaired and Jay provided great customer service up front when I was picking my car up. My car is running great, I will definitely be coming back!

Brought my first car in many years to them and I was too trusting: they charged me $100 each for four parts I later looked up and saw for $75 all four. I now doubt if what they did even needed doing. Thought I had found a good mechanic, but not so :( ouch $$$

Jay is so awesome and his staff. I had my Mustang towed in Monday afternoon on 8/14/2023. I had an appointment on Wednesday at a Ford dealership, but I found out two days before my appointment that they do not accept my warranty through Car Shields. Jay he took the time to keep me in the loop about my warranty and the status of my part for my car. Jay allowed my daughter's car to be towed to his shop from another $$ shop on 8/18/2023. Jay hehad both our cars done on 8/18/2023. I referred my dad too and more of my friends. Thank God for leading me too Jay.

This is my go to place now for anything car. I was new to the area when my car broke down and my friend referred me here. The service was unbelievable, everyone there was friendly and kind and they explained everything to me. When no one else could fix it they could thank you guys so much for all you do I appreciate it more than words can describe. Super helpful and incredibly nice people here! Kit took the time to really explain the issues I was having with my car and gave me a realistic timeline of what things needed to be fixed right away versus later down the road if I was short on money. Will absolutely be my top choice for any car needs moving forward.

We've been patronizing Elliott Automotive for 3 years. We have always found them knowledgable, helpful, and, most of all personable. Customer service is top-notch, as are their repair services. Luckily, they're very near our home but I wouldn't hesitate to go out of my way to support Elliott Automotive, you should too.

Carmax Warranty: use Elliot!! They were awesome - they updated me immediately that they found a second issue and were submitting to be covered. Both that and original issue were covered completely by warranty and Elliot was great in getting the work done asap. Two issues, only $50!!

I've had them work on two of my vehicles. They seem to be honest, and their prices aren't too crazy compared to other places I price checked them against, I just wish they had more parking space.

The BEST automotive place in Richmond! Jay and his staff are very personable. He treats his customers like best friends. Had my axles replaced and he took the time to show me how damaged the old ones were. Even drove with me to make sure I was satisfied. Very honest and had the best prices. Highly recommend!

I have taken my vehicles in several times now. Extremely polite, professional, and responsive owner and staff. They ll only do what you ask or what is required and won t string you out for unnecessary repairs. Amazing place! Even severely short staffed, they really try their best! They ve never tried to upsell me on anything and really take the time to help me understand my car better. I m pretty clueless when it comes to cars, and every mechanic I ve been to has picked up on that and tried their best to take advantage of me. Not these guys! Jay is incredibly kind and understanding and does not talk down to anyone. I m so thankful I finally found a place I can trust! Definitely worth the wait if you re able to!

Jay has been incredibly helpful during my recent "car crisis". I had a flat tire and called Elliott Tire. Being new to the area I just searched the closest location and definitely made the right decision!! They were so personable and helpful! Jay worked with me directly to ensure that I got the best of the best service! I was picked up from my location and taking to work. They kept me updated throughout the entire process. It turned out I needed all of my tires replaced and they have me a great rate...my tires were wore down to the steel. Once everything was done they picked me back up from work. The interior of my car was cleaned out and the car looked brand new! :) The service here has been unlike any auto service shop experience I've ever had!! I definitely recommend everyone go here for their service needs! Jay's costumer service is one of a kind!

These guys use to be great, but recently started cracking under pressure (maybe due to popularity). Their quality of work took a cliff dive and (most importantly) attitudes (primarily the owner). This is truly the best place around Richmond. Jay the owner is a great guy and runs a tight crew. I originally went here because of the good reviews on Yelp and can testify that the ratings match the service. It's true that it takes a while for the work to be done however they were more than accommodating with a loaner vehicle. Not only that but Jay was very transparent with what they were doing with my transmission leaving me voicemails with updates. I will for sure be recommending this place to everyone I know around here!

Outstanding work, honest & friendly staff!! I've been taking our family cars to Jay and his staff over at Elliott Tire for a number of years now. The work they do is great, our vehicles remain running and in good condition thanks to these folks. If it looks like something may need some work in the near future (breaks, tires) they usually give us a heads up so we can plan for the upcoming expenditures. As someone who constantly works on the road, I highly recommend taking your vehicle here!

The very best experience I've ever had with car repair. The staff are personable and professional. Service completed in a timely manner and the price fair and affordable. I was so pleased when I picked up my car, it had been cleaned, detailed no charge. The only Auto Shop I will ever use. Elliott Automotive is the best. Thanks to Jay, Kit, Jeff and Chris.
