Daniel, Gayton Centre Dr location store MGR is always SUPER. This is my 2nd or 3rd time using Alan Conner Collision Center not only because of my previous work relationship with Daniel, but the body repairs guys working back there (who aren't seen) do tremendous work. In my former world of vehicle and repair association, I'm somewhat knowledgeable about the way the repairs/paint should look and I truly appreciate their thoroughness. When I pick up my car I have full confidence that things were DONE RIGHT. The work done on each vehicle has been truly impressive. Thank you for the excellent customer service through and through Daniel and team (Catherine is a great addition!)

Getting the car repaired, after 8 months of the fighting with the insurance company, was an ordeal. Carstar waited patiently through the process and checked in periodically but were never pushy. Once the estimate was approved and repairs began, the parts approved did not fit (of course the cheapest alternatives), Daniel at Carstar stepped in. He, unfortunately, had to deal with the folks at Agero, those paying for the damage they did to my daughter's car. Agero, again dragged their feet another month. To Daniels credit he hung in there and fought the good fight to get the proper parts needed. The repair only took a couple of days, once the parts arrived, and it looks great! In all, it took 9 months to get my daughter's car repaired, and I thank Carstar and Daniel for their patience and service to the customer.

I was very impressed with Alan Conner. My wife was involved in a relatively minor accident that caused front end damage to her 2020 Honda CRV. We were obviously concerned about how the vehicle would act after being involved in an accident with all of the new technology. During the process, there was a delay due to parts, but I'll give Noah and the team credit for reaching out to everyone they could to find the parts. I was also very impressed with the phone calls from Sarah twice a week. Even if the vehicle wasn't ready, it was impressive to see a company that calls you to keep you informed.Lastly, I waited about a month to write this review because I wanted to see how the vehicle performed after the repairs. We are blessed that the vehicle is functioning as it should and (knock on wood) there have been no issues. We have never had to use a collision company so this has been a first for us and we have been really happy with everything. I would highly recommend Alan Conner Collision.

Daniel, Sarah and the team are positively excellent! I have been to them twice now, and each time they provide absolutely five star service and communication. I never feel uninformed or out of the loop. They do an excellent job of keeping me updated a minimum of twice a week. Such a hassle trying to get State Farm (the other driver's insurance) to do what was needed to repair my vehicle, it took months. But once I got the confirmation and started dealing with CARSTAR, it was a breeze! They handled everything quickly and professionally. Explained mundane things in a helpful way to someone who doesn't know cars.I highly recommend not getting into vehicle collisions in the first place, but if you do, CARSTAR Alan Conner Collision Center on Gayton will take care of it for you.Thanks!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I couldn't have asked for a better experience at Alan Conner Collision Center. From start to finish, the customer service was exceptional. Daniel Campbell, the team manager, began the process with me, checking over the body work needed for my Toyota. He even buffed out a door scratch for me and gave me a tour of the facility. Sarah and Noah, front line employees, were helpful and Sarah updated me every two days on the work status of my car and Noah Conner drove me home on day one. The time period was 12 days. The finished work was excellent. I would definitely recommend this company for body repair work.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I original posted a very positive review as I thought this was about to be a positive experience. I was wrong, it was not. About a month ago I came in with my vehicle and a gentleman named Noah was very helpful and took a look and said this is just an eyeball estimate but it looks like the work will be about $1600 - $1800 and if you want to fix the taillight it will cost about $500 more. I said great and waited almost a month for an actual estimate by someone named Daniel. Though I bought another vehicle I did not trade this one in as for that price, which I thought was fair and reasonable, I planned to fix it first and then sell it. I met with Daniel and told him the eyeball estimate that Noah gave me and Daniel never said anything like that was way too low or anything like that and eventually Daniel sends me an official estimate of $4500!!!!! That's twice as much as they eyeball and there is no excuse in my opinion for making me wait that long with a misleading price. I have not been this upset with a place of business in a long time. I could have traded this car in at a good price when I made my purchase but relied that the eyeball estimate was at least in the ballpark. When I told that to Daniel and he did not react negatively to it in any way I was more certain that I could rely on that original quote within reason. Clearly I could not and cannot recommend working with this place at all. Very upsetting, very disappointing, and if an eyeball estimate is off by half that is unprofessional and someone is lacking in the skill necessary to represent a business to customers who rely on what they say.

Took my car to them after being rear-ended. Incredibly friendly staff first and foremost. They kept me in mind as schedules opened up and were able to fit me into their work calendars rather quickly when a spot opened in what's a crazy car repair market. They gave me an estimate with pictures to document needed fixes, stayed in constant contact throughout the process, and ultimately delivered quickly and within expected estimate guidance. After the completed repairs they even passed back savings from parts costs they ended up not fully needing. 10/10 service on all fronts.Services: Exhaust, Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

I had a wonderful experience. Lots of communication on when the work would start meant the car was in the shop for only a short time. Weekly updates kept me informed of progress. When I tell you everyone single person that works here is amazing I mean it. They were very professional and answered any questions I had. This was my first time being in a small accident and I was worried about everything I had to do from finding someone to fix my car to getting a rental car on my own. They made this experience very easy. While I was waiting on my car to get fixed they notified me every Tuesday and Thursday which was very helpful and my car ended up being ready sooner than I expected. If you choose to go anywhere to get your car fixed it should be here. You will not be disappointed. Keep up the great work!!

Excellent experience all around. this was our second time using Alan Conner Collision and they once again did an outstanding job! We also loved that they took the time to call us weekly with updates on our car's progress. everyone was friendly and helpful and the fact that they could provide the rental car also made the experience much easier and customer friendly. Alan Conner is one of the best, I had my car work done sometime in 2022 and had gone back for another scratch on my MDX which was quickly fixed for free of charge.I highly recommend CARSTAR for any body work!!

I had a simple fix just needed my passenger door handle replaced because it got some what crushed. while there was some scraps behind it there was no real damage and I was not going to turn it in on insurance. They fixed the door handle and did a great job getting the dent out where it was hit. Unlike other collision shops they made sure to ask and find out what I needed, and they never tried to sell me on repainting the door and the back side of my truck. Will use them again if I ever need to , great business and worth waiting on.Service: Body & Trim

I don't often leave reviews for businesses, but Carstar Alan Conner Collision Center's level of service absolutely warrants recognition. I am not one to easily trust other people to work on my vehicles, and after many bad experiences with mechanics over the years, I now try to do all of my own vehicle maintenance. However, body work is not something I have the skills or tools to do myself, so when I stupidly backed into my wife's car with my truck recently, I had no choice but to find a shop that I could trust to make the repair. From my very first interaction with the team at Carstar Alan Conner Collision Center, I knew they were the right folks for the job. I worked with Noah, Daniel, and Sarah throughout the process, and each of them went above and beyond to make sure I had a great customer experience.That great experience began with my very first interaction with this shop. I was still frazzled from my careless vehicular mistake when I scheduled my initial estimate appointment, and apparently I wrote down the wrong date. So when I showed up for that appointment, I was actually there the day AFTER I was supposed to have arrived. Without hesitation, Noah worked me into his busy schedule and performed the estimate right then. During the estimate, Daniel came out to take a look and heard me mention that the driver's side door was wedged shut by the fender panel that had been damaged in the accident. He kindly grabbed a couple of body panel tools and quickly adjusted the damaged panel so that we could open the driver door and use the vehicle normally, instead of having to climb over the center console to use the passenger side door. At this point I had not yet even committed to having the repair performed at their shop so I offered to compensate them for this adjustment, but they refused to accept any payment. That just showed me what good people they are. I should point out that no one at the other two shops who provided repair estimates offered to do this for me.Once I decided to move forward with Carstar, I was extremely impressed with their professional level of communication. Sarah called me every couple of days throughout the process to provide progress updates and to let me know the next step. This was a stark contrast to the shop that my insurance company wanted me to work with - after calling that shop 4 or 5 times with a question after they sent their initial estimate and not being able to get anyone to answer the phone, I knew that was not a good sign. That made the decision to have the repair done at Carstar even easier. Unfortunately in my case, my insurance company wanted to do the repair as cheaply as possibly, so I ended up paying additional money of out pocket just to have the repair done at Carstar, but as far as I'm concerned, that is money well spent. I know the repair was done properly and that our vehicle has been restored to factory condition, if not better, using OEM parts.If you are in need of any kind of paint/body work for your vehicle, there is no other shop in the Richmond area that I would recommend over Carstar Alan Conner Collision Center. Their team is full of great people who go above and beyond to treat their customers with professionalism and kindness. Are they going to be the least expensive option for your repair? Probably not, but in my opinion, all auto body shops are not the same, and you are definitely going to get what you pay for. If you want the job done properly, and if you want to work with people who will respect you, will be honest with you, who will do what they say they're going to do, and who will stand behind their work, then you absolutely cannot go wrong with Carstar Alan Conner Collision Center.Thank you to the entire team there for making my experience great!Service: Body & Trim

Excellent customer service! Excellent repair work! From my first call to them... until I picked up my car, everyone was super nice. Lots of communication. I have loaner car in my insurance plan and they let me use one of their loaner cars, which made the experience so much easier. The loaner car was very nice too. My car looks better after the repair than it did before I took it to them. I highly recommend Carstar!

I can not say enough great things about Daniel and the staff here. I came in for an estimate to repair some damage to my front bumper after the car scraped the garage. Daniel throughly cleaned off all the garage paint from the bumper and gave me 3 options to "earn my business". Because the damage was vey minor and purely cosmetic I decided not to change out the bumper but instead do a very minor repair. He asked me if I had time to do this today and he immediately got the repair completed. I was very pleased with his craftsmanship and attempted to pay for his services. Instead of taking any payment he simply gave me his card and kindly asked if I could tell my story with a review. Sadly, this type of customer service has become rarer and rarer but I had the greatest customer experience in ages here. Thank you all who work at Alan Conner, you all are true professionals and if I ever need services or know of anyone who needs services, you will be my first recommendation. Communication was clear from the moment I brought my car in until I picked it up. Estimate was detailed and clear; when additional issues were found, I was provided with options of what could be done and the cost of each option; status updates were provided.
