Went here for my state inspection. Helpful and thorough. Would recommend.

I want to like these people because they seem nice. I took my car in to have my AC repaired and informed them I knew there was a leak. "Can you please put it under a vacuum and stop the leak?" I picked the car up the next day and the AC worked for about 4 hours. Then it leaked everything out. I called and they said they would take another look at it but not for another week. They wouldn't prioritize the repair even though it's a warranty issue. I tried to reschedule but it's my only vehicle. The point is, they didn't fix it correctly the first time and I'm without A/C in 95 degree heat.Service: A/C installation & repair

Started going here in 1998 after finishing college and moving to the neighborhood. Love this place. So honest, so friendly. I moved away for 8 years and then moved back to Richmond and live way for out in the western suburbs but still take my cars here.

I am extremly pleased with my first experience with this establishment. My 2006 Audi A4 decided not to turn on one day and I was really just looking for the cheapest option to get my car towed. They told me it would be a couple hours before they could pick up my car, but to my surprise they were there within an hour an a half(enough time for my boyfriend and I to get a coffee and chat). My car got picked up on a Friday and they told me they wouldn't be able to even look at my car until Tuesday, again to my surprise they called me Monday morning letting me know exactly what was wrong with my car(it was the clutch switch). They were great when it came to working with me when I decided I would order the part through them and change it myself. The new clutch switch took a couple days to come in but that has nothing to do with them. My car was up and running by that Friday(so all in all it was one week I was without a car). Long story short, if you are looking for a well-priced, reliable business to deal with your car take them here! side note: They are also super sweet, the older gentleman working the front desk was a delight!

I described my issue on the phone and they were able to diagnose it immediately. They fit me in a couple of days later and fixed it that day. Great experience.

I've dealt with Carroll's for more than 30 years and have found them helpful and professional. They've given good advice on what is important to fix and what can be deferred. I've not had any problems with inspections which some reviewers have mentioned.

Took my car in for oil change and small service, 140$ later I was recommended to replace an oxygen sensor (40$ part self buy) for 140+labor. Transmission issues the next week and it died completely. It is now scrap.

Thank you for being so kind and nice helping me with my Granddaughters car that was broken and you towed it to Royal Chevy for me. You went out of your way to make two trips and to call me each time to let me know you had taken it to Royal Chevy. Your kindness and help was greatly appreciated and I thank you from my heart. Was doing some weekend mechanic stuff and well, broke the car.Needed a tow. These guys had a truck out quick, and at one of the best prices in the city!
