I'm sad to write this review as we have been coming to this establishment for many years, however the last time was, well...the last. I brought in my Jeep which has barely 30k miles because the brakes where squealing and to get the rear windshield wiper re-attached (it was used and was shipped to me with it off).I received a call with an estimate for over $1,400 work that "needed" to be done on it (that had nothing to do with the brakes) plus another over $1k that would need work "soon". They told me the sound I was hearing with the brakes was normal and nothing could be done. I told them I would be by to pick it back up and to not bother.When I came back they told me they didn't attach the wiper because they "would have to take the rear tire off to access it".Needless to say, I took it to the Jeep dealership (afraid they would try to jack me on the services that were needed) and it was the exact opposite. They did an oil change, replaced a filter and told me no other services were due, nor did they find any other issues of concern.They also laughed when I told them about the wiper as they swung the tire out and popped the wiper blade back on.I chalk it up to one of two possibilities: a) they saw a female with "new-to-her" jeep and saw an opportunity to upsell unneeded services and/or b) they had a technician that knew absolutely nothing about jeeps (including that the wheel pulls away from the back).Bottom line: If you want a quick oil change or something simple, they are more than adequate to take care of those little items. Much more and I would go elsewhere (even the dealer) which I found to be extremely easy and above board to work with.

Not Smart ! NOT honest!I had low air pressure in one of the tires , noticed one nail sticking off the tire I had repair kit so I checked the tire very well to see if there is other one but I decided not risk with my wife s car so I drove 10 minutes to this shop, dropped off the car, was told 90 minutes and will be ready, after 15 minutes I received call from the shop this tire is not fixable and you need 4 new tire I replied why, answer there are two nails one in the corner and not possible to fix .I said I ll need to take another opinion,then I picked the car I drove to Sterling tire shop and what I said was confirmed.They fixed it, and I set an appointment with them to change the 4 tiers in April 15.The front desk was not friendly from the first impression, but I decided to give a chance. Needed four new tires. Staff at Wiygul Reston (John and Robert) were superb. Recommended the best option and did a complete check of the vehicle. New to Virginia from California. I will be returning to this location for additional services. Very honest location.

I have had a string of bad experiences here. The technician was careless, which caused my car issues, Wiygul ended up trying to remedy the problem but their employee Lamar was extremely rude in the process. I thought it was a one time thing but in my second interaction with him, he was again very abrasive, confrontational and downright unnecessarily rude. I have come to believe he has a tendency to treat female customers in a condescending manner. I have run into good managers there, it is a shame they don't train their employees to have the most basic customer service skills. I am done with this place.

I used to have a positive perception of Wiygul at Reston and even recommended to a few of my friends. Today, I had a very bad experience that convinced me this is not a reputable company I can trust.I took my car (2016 Audi S7) to have wheel alignment and took their $49.99 holiday special coupon (in fine print it mentioned the regular price was $99.99). However, I was surprised to see my bill for $136.63. They told that my car's alignment price is $169.31 as opposed to $99.99 price being advertised. They took off $50 since I brought in the coupon but $136.63 was still far more than what I was expecting to pay with $49.99 special coupon. This is a switch and bait type of marketing and very misleading at best. What bothered me even more was the fact that the agent keep telling me that he mentioned the $169.31 price when I dropped off the car when he clearly did not. I had an offer to get the same work done for $120 earlier that day at other place so I would have clearly rejected this had I known from the start.Very disturbing practice and I know of many places with better prices and honest practice. I am sorry to say but I will be taking my car to other places from now on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Stopped by Monday 11/26 to make appointment for exhaust issue. Cordial discussion, with diagnosis offered for free. Made appointment for Tuesday am.Arrived Tues., intake consultant reviewed requested diagnosis. Then stated cost for this would be &160. Laughing, I said I would go to another shop that offered exhaust diagnosis for $50. The consultant then said it would be free. I left the vehicle for evaluation.Later that day I was informed one bolt attaching the exhaust to the manifold had failed. While this connection is designed for three bolts, apparently only two had been installed. So one bolt was holding the pieces together, one had sheared, and one bolt slot was empty. The suggested repair was to replace or install all three bolts and gasketsFor $700+.This seemed excessive. I went to a nearby shop that performed the repair for $319.Just the facts, with receipts and text messages available. How should I feel about this?

Stike 3! New to the area, and needed an auto mechanic who is closer to Reston than my current one in Leesburg...after months of seeing their mail ads in my mailbox, I decided to give them a try, or tried!! I needed a simple emissions test- - less than 10 minutes with my car's sensor reader (which is how the test is administered with my vehicle). I called, they only do "first come, first served" on emissions and inspections...no problem. Stopped by 3 times. While I saw no line, each time I was told they were booked!! I could leave my car and come back - - either around 4 or 6pm!! There was no place to go, and I could not wonder around Reston for 3-5 hours waiting for a test!! (my son gets off the school bus at 3:50!) They said come back in the morning. I did, two more times. Again, hoping to wait, as I do not have a neighbor who can drop me off and run taxi service for me. Honestly, if they take 4+ hours to run a 10 min. emission test, I can only imagine what an oil change or brake job would take. Their work style just did not fit my needs......they are clearly very busy, which is great, but not for new clientele.

I have heard good things about Wiygul over the years, and I started advising my wife to take her car to Wiygul, but she wanted to wait until the new car warranty service ends. So, one tire had a slow leak. She took it to the dealer (smh) and got a $550 quote, to replace one tire! I put in fix-a-flat, which held air for a few months, but then began to leak again. Told her to go to Wiygul and they were fast, friendly and put in a tire plug - for free! Didn't charge her a penny, and as she said, they gained a new customer!

I always have a great experience with Wiygul locations. As a woman I have historically been concerned with pricing at other shops. With Wiygul I don t have to think about that. They re seriously awesome. They take many photos of any issues with detailed explanations and recommendations. Honestly their prices confirm my suspicion I was overcharged at other shops I will definitely always go to a Wiygul location from now on to be treated respectfully and have all of my concerns addressed.

Always very fast service. Only one time in 3+ years have they had to keep my car overnight, and even then they gave me a loaner vehicle. Quality work, would never consider another mechanic while I live/work in this area

I decided to give this place another chance. I came in for an oil change using a coupon and got a bunch of recommended service, which was higher than the area average. Asked if there were any discounts on those prices and was graciously given a $50 off via the phone. On my final bill, they removed my oil coupon "because coupons don't stack." A better phone explanation would've been appreciated. Not sure why you would bait and switch a customer over $30.Last time I was there almost a decade ago, I bought tires that were also higher than average (I found out later). The rep ran my card early "since he was the only one that knew how to do it." The tires I received had dry rot along the sidewall.I'm ok with a premium price but I come out of here feeling cheated every time.

I have been taking my car to Wiygul since I moved to Virginia 6 years ago. I ve been to this location and the OG location in Alexandria. Each shop has been great both in terms of quality of work, and in cost. They have been great to use whenever I ve been in a bind and needed fixes, they can work with you to get you back on the road. I don t plan on going to any other automotive mechanics any time soon.

I highly recommend! They provided a free ride to pick up my car and a very detailed receipt and report on what was done and other important pieces of the car, including images and descriptions. I will definitely be returning when I need maintenance on my car!

Recently moved to area and went for a first time inspection and emissions test for a car. The car failed inspection due to front windshield tint. I asked if they would just remove it as I was unaware of this requirement, they said no. So I asked if I could just remove it and do the Re-inspection for which they said yes. Five minutes later, I come back with the tint in hand to throw it away and the representative says that they don't have time and the car would have to wait until tomorrow for re-inspection (and I wasn't supposed to drive the car with the failed inspection), so I left somewhat mad. I went to a different place and in less than five minutes they did the re-inspection. There's no reason for WYGUL to not do the re-inspection considering they had already agreed to. Like I said, I disposed of the tint in front of the employee, the car hadn't left the lot, hence updating the computer would've been a quick fix. Bad customer service experience, will not be coming back.

I brought my car in for what I thought was going to be an expensive belt replacement. I also had a nail in a tire. They told me my belt was OK and repaired the tire for free. It is refreshing to have an honest automotive repair shop. Thank you, Wiygul.

Reliable (although busy) wiygul location in Reston Virginia. After having a good experience at the Burke location, I decided to visit the Reston location due to it s closer proximity.I appreciated the manager s quick response to my appointment, letting me know ahead of time they were busy, and my car appointment may take longer than anticipated. I appreciated that!If you re coming from the west of this store, you ll have to make a u-turn and pass the NTB to access it. Inside there s some seating, coffee and bathroom if you choose to wait. I enjoyed their free shuttle service (using lyft), but note this is only one-way so you ll need to spend money to be brought back, or walk.They have a text feature letting you know when your car is done, and ask any questions.Good, reliable location!

This mechanic shop set me up! I took it in for a routine service only. They called me and said my inspection was coming up in the next few months and if I d like to have them do it. I m pretty sure they saw the tint on the back window beforehand and knew they were going to fail me, and that s exactly what they did. This has turned into such a hassle for me. Now I have to pay hundreds of dollars and take time off work to remove the tint off the back window to pass the inspection. Other inspectors told me they would have passed me but now that this company failed me I m basically branded in the state system. The same car with same tint passed last year. The craziest part is that they called me to ask me to do it and deliberately failed me! An inspection that was still good for a few more months! Also, a few days after I got my car back from them I got a flat tire and a mildew smell that was coming from the air cabin. But they didn t catch any of that. Coincidence or no? I don t know but I do know they seriously inconvenienced me & cost me. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Since my complimentary service at the dealership ended, it was time to find a new mechanic to go to. I heard good things about Wiygul and, after taking my car in for service, I'm really happy with my experience there! The staff are friendly and I felt that the prices were very reasonable. Amazing place to fix Tyre repair. That too its is free of cost. I couldn't belive. Hogan and sons asked $48 where as Wiygul fixed it for free. I will try inspecection here next month.

Very pleased with the team, their work, and the customer service received. Everyone was very nice, polite, professional, and helpful. I recently had an oil, filter, and coolant service performed and discovered that some of the rivets that secured the engine cover and screws that secured the front engine splash shield were missing. I pointed this out and the team promptly fixed the issue. Again, very impressed with the team.Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change
