We had a great experience with them. Repaired vehicle in a timely manner, no extras thrown in. Explained everything to daughter so she understood. Very pleasant to deal with. Will definitely recommend and use in the future

Radford University Car Care is a great shop. They are quick, efficient, and very reasonably priced. They have been my go-to garage for years and I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

I had my daughter s truck towed in because it wasn t starting. They said it was the fuel pump but they didn t change it instead they changed both 02 sensors. They charged me 450 dollars for that and never fixed the problem so I had it towed to another shop I would never take another vehicle here.

Went to this shop the first time today and learned that many professors in our school and in a neighboring town frequent this shop. The shop owner recommended a cheaper way to get my tire sensors fixed at a later time. I highly recommend this shop! VW service in Roanoke thought I had a $1K oil filter housing issue. These fine gents figured out the oil leak was in the filter itself. Less than a hundred dollars later, it's back on the road. Honest service, great price.

Jerry and Brad are excellent mechanics and will always be your friend. They will always give you the truth about your vehicle and will only fix what you direct them to do. They are extremely fair with their prices compared to garages in the Radford market, and I will take my vehicles to them 1st. This place is wonderful, my first experience was 2 yrs ago, I had just purchased a vehicle and out of nowhere it sounded like a train pulling in the station, I got so scared and I pulled in at this place to ask for help, cue in this guy mechanic with a full garage, sweating, wiping black greased hands asking kindly what did I need, as I explained what happened he took my keys hopped in my vehicle and told me that as soon as he was finishing with one of the other vehicles he could do a quick fix to get me on the road and then I could bring it back in for repair in the next few days... this is the type of service I've always gotten here, always everything explained to me, every single annoying question I make always answered, never rolling their eyes, every repair that has been done, has been done great without having to pay through the nose. As a woman not feeling disrespected or talked down to or getting ripped off they are a relief. Oh also I'm the nemesis of mechanics because I love YouTube (I know I know) and when is and that they also don't roll their eyes or moan when I said I repaired something!!!! I've had oil changes, sway bar changed, tires changed, breaks, calipers, rotors, belts changed and tires repaired, never a problem. I trust them.

Great independent small business with strong troubleshooting skills. No up marking on the four tires I bought from them, just charged me the installation fee. Fair price on a much needed wheel alignment. Just got an oil change from these local gentlemen where I previously stopped in and made a quick appointment. They had me in and out the time i made it. Would definitely recommend if something is clicking, clanking, or rubbing, in your car or truck. These are the guys you want to fix it.

I went there for a quote on a brake job. When they ordered the parts I needed they were out of stock so the next grade up was sent. The brakes were installed and the quoted price remained the same. Great job and service guys.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Always honest and fair, friendly; there have been times when I found tires or a part cheaper somewhere else and they were totally cool about me using those instead, too save money.One time I had a light on that other places were saying would cost $100+ just to figure it out and they pipes the good, turned a sensor off and then the guy double checked all of my fluids to make sure I wasn't low, for free.Love this place.

Went to two different mechanics for a check engine light, both told me I needed $500+ work done to fix it. Took it here, they did some work for $20, haven't had any problems the past year. This was my fourth time visiting, each time they do good work for a very reasonable rate.

The guys here did a great job working on my truck while there having a new clutch put in they were nice and knowledgeable about the work I was having done also the work was done on a timely manner and the price was as quoted. I definitely would recommend this place and will continue to use them for my business and personal vehicles

Good auto repair. Jerry knows his business, he can fix any vehicle, tires, inspection, you name he can fix it plus great prices compared to other auto shops. So give Jerry a shout for your next break down or inspection or just a tuneup.

Had my car there on 3 occasions. May 2015. First time (Car was running but overheating) replaced hose said they fixed it! The day it was picked up 2) Car overheated other side of Riner! Now will not crank! They did pay tow to return car to their shop Blown head gasket now! They repaired, took 3 weeks , in my opinion overcharged! Should have fixed the first time!3) August 2015 Went in for inspection, rejected, said back brakes would not pass. I had just had the front brakes replaced and the back brakes were checked in my hometown. The back brakes were good! Charged 150.00 for replacing back brakes. It cost me 75.00 to do the front ones. I won't ever go BACK !The work they do is good, however some is unnecessary! and overpriced!

I take my car here for everything. The mechanic will do the job right and charge you a decent price. My only complaint is the lady who works the front desk. She is Asian and I can hardly understand anything she says, and yet she is the one manning the phones. She also tries to overcharge people by telling them it is urgent they get something fixed or that there could be other things wrong with your car, after the mechanic has said there definitely is not...

I went to University BP Auto repair to get my oil leak diagnosed $70 way too high. I called RADFORD UNIVERSAL and they said $35 I asked if they could do it for $30 cash. They said yes I set the appointment for a few days later. I ended not making the appointment. I called them about a week or so later and asked if they could still diagnose my oil leak for $30 they still honored the price. Long review short this is a honest mechanic shop. If you have to wait go to POLLO LOCO and grab lunch you can walk. $4.25 super cheap. They had to refill my oil but did not call me to ask but no complaints because they did not charge me an inflated price per quart. Good people. Not Rapist Mechanics. Not Greedy.

Jerry has always helped me out on our vehicles and trailers. you cant please everyone and i recommend him and i am hard to please. he is fair and reasonable. plus it is nice to see the little guy survive, all small business like theirs needs to be supported by the community.

I've been dealing with Radford Universal garage for 3 years and they are truly honest and great people. I wouldn't consider going anywhere but there. Always treated me well. All I can say is, thanks Jerry and Brad

This is literally the only shop I know that doesn t ever change the price on me. The customer service is amazing and a great guys that work there. I would double recommended for any of your car needs.

Went there to get an inspection today. I had one fog light missing. Not out. Just the whole thing bracket and all missing. They had to take the good fog light out for it to pass. This truck hasnt had that one fog light for 6 years or more and has passed every year without it. Charged me 20 bucks to remove the GOOD fog light. The guys were really nice. But i think the owner just wanted to make some money off me. Probably wont go back here next year. Update: husband just got home @630p to check the truck and realized they broke the plastic bumper trying to remove the fog light. Absolutely upset about this. We called and left a message- sent a fb message. Awaiting a reply. Of course first thing they claim they didn't pull the fog light out of thr front pf the truck. Which was a lie because i stood right there and watched them take it out the front. They had to have pulled and pushed the plastic bumper to get this fog light out...Full updated review:This past Friday I brought my truck to this business to get an inspection. It was going to get rejected because I was missing one fog light. The technician said well we can take the fog light that's working out and it'll pass okay.. well we get the vehicle back home and my husband notice that the bumper was broke where the fog light had been removed. Called and messaged a couple of times finally got a reply back to bring the truck in this week. Took it down there this morning and of course all they had to say was were sorry but we didn't do it. Swore up and down they didnt remove it through the front of the bumper. But they did. And now we have a broken plastic bumper on our avalanche that th mey are not willing to take responsibility for. Will obviously never be recommending this buisness to anyone. Although they have a few good reviews theres always that one time they want to take advantage of a woman with a child. Charged me 20 dollar's to remove the fog light. Which he told my husband this morning was a good deal.. No a good company would take responsibility for their mistake and fix it. However that's not where we got with this company. I believe they know for a fact that we have to have an inspection sticker to be driving this vehicle around and they saw an opportunity to make a few extra dollars off of me. Told my husband that there was no way that I could have saw them taking it out of the front of the truck where I was sitting period which is funny because I wasn't sitting the whole time I was standing up talking to Irene who was writing out checks for the business because it was Friday. And I saw everything. But basically this is a he said she said scenario and we will not be getting good customer service from this buisness. I would say thank you for your time and effort but since my bumper is still broken i will have to decline that with a bad review.

The lady at the front desk did not seem to care much about my car needing to be looked at. Said they would call before coming out & I sat around my house the entire day waiting for someone to call & come look at it. Only to call & find out that " her boys " were still busy.

Over priced and not very understanding. Wouldn't recommend that you go there unless your car brakes down in front of their shop and you can't afford to tow it. They prey on gullible college students.
