Every time I take my car there y'all can't never find the information. Will this last time I took my car to get the oil change. No one never tightens up my screws. My car was stalling and like it was going to cut off and I was driving it to South Carolina. I did call back to the store. Please just be careful to look over my car when y'all guys finish. I am driving a blue Chevy equinox 2019. I go to you guys all the time. Stay blessed

Terrible service. Did not put my oil cap on all the way after finishing because they were to busy talking to each other which is ridiculous. Had to pull over on the side of the interstate a couple of days after getting it done because my car was smoking. Popped the hood, oil everywhere. Don t take you car to take 5 because a simple oil change will turn into hundreds of dollars in repairs.

They were very quick and efficient. Definitely a group of guys that care about their work and not just making a quick buck. Did not try to sell me on anything like at Jiffy Lube just gave me an oil change and I was on my way, probably the best experience I've had getting an oil change!

I've been using take 5 for some time, most recent oil change I had my first negative experience with it, but calling the customer service got it resolved within 2 hours. Once this location heard from their corporate office the manager that day called me with 15 mins and said they'd be able to fix it at soon as I showed up. Was out of there in about 25 min time with the faulty part replaced and on my way.

I dealt with two employees and they are extremely professional. If I would remember their names I would give them specific kids! Additionally, they showed me the oil level on dipstick before they put back . Excellent customer service, excellent knowledge and not so good prices.

The workers there are always polite and do a quick oil change. On the particular day that I went I waited an hour just to get into the bay and I couldn t back out cause a car was behind me so I was kinda stuck. They had 3 bays open and what looked like only 3 or 4 people working so they probably shouldn t have had them all open. When I got into the bay I still had to wait for them to help me so it basically took another 30 minutes until I was good to go.

Very polite and knowledgeable staff. As promised you will be in and out quickly. They also top off vehicle fluids, perform a battery test, check windshield wiper blades, check tire threads, and fill your vehicle tires with the needed air. You have to remain in your vehicle at all times and your keys will be placed in small box once entering the shop and given back to you once payment is complete. I was given a $10 discount off of the $89.99 full synthetic oil service due to the fact that they did not have the $49.99 oil service available for my vehicle. I am thankful for the speedy walk-in service but I will not be returning because $96.92 is entirely too much for an oil change for a work vehicle in my opinion.

They did do my oil, offer me water, and was polite.However, they didn't complete their own service check list by NOT DOING THE FOLLOWING: clean my windshield, top of any fluids, check cabin air filter, check my wipers, check my tires, and didn't know how to identify a veterans ID. Also, told me there was no leaks they could see but it appears according to the receipt they notated twice that there was engine oil leaking on arrival, unless I'm misreading the receipt. As a veteran if we didn't follow the checklist how could any of our work honestly be trusted. Same should apply here.

I will never take my car to ANY take 5 again. I brought my car to this location on March 25th for an oil change. I woke up the next day Friday March 26th to find my car leaking oil so, i take my car back to this location. Unbeknownst to me the manager had changes my oil plug but, he replaced it with a plug that was to small and couldn t find one to fit my vehicle. After recommending that my car be towed to the nearest Firestone. I was left with questions about a rental and how i was supposed to commute around etc. Mind you, this all happened Friday evening so i was told to call claims(take 5s third party insurance) i was told by an agent on Saturday that i would be able to rent a car and be reimbursed for whatever i paid. On Monday i was finally given an agent who would be specifically handling my claim, Derrick Long is his name. After speaking with him i was told that we are processing the claim to see if take 5 is accepting liability as if anything that had occurred was my fault. After having the rental car for nearly a week my total was around $1,000. I personally paid to have my car retrieved from the firestone that it had been towed to at the beginning of the incident all in all i was only Partially reimbursed for the rental. I elected for CDW coverage on the rental because I did not want my insurance to be held liable in the case that something happened. I was NOT made aware that i would not be reimbursed for that which was $300. SO BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR CAR TO TAKE 5, any of them not just this Portsmouth location just BEWARE THAT THEIR INSURANCE IS NOT THE BEST TO DEAL WITH. and the district manager for the 757 area his name is Woodrow, very unprofessional. My next step will be to call corporate to make them aware of the situation and get my ENTIRE REIMBURSEMENT not just $1,000 of the $1,300 that i spent.

The techs were extremely nice!! I think the problem is more corporate . I had an oil change 01/20/2024 $50 more than I expected (don t expect online prices even though my co workers got one for $59 12/19/2023 for a 2021 Toyota 4 runner) I paid $110 no biggie new filter 2012 rav . I sat in my vehicle as required 3 different technicians helped with the oil change!! Awesome!! two days later I was stranded literally blue battery acid (I m an optician I think I m mm) at least 8mm of blue acid corroded over the terminals. I get that s not job but I prefer southern hospitality a 5 yr old could have seen that s going to be a problem.!!!

I have always leery of these places, but decided to try. They had some computer issues but worked thru it. Arnold was excellent and made sure I had the oil I requested.I will go back again.

This visit was okay, I ve come in the past and the service had been pretty quick, this time around all three bays were open the lines were long and I m guessing they were short technicians, but i waited over 2 hours to get my oil changed. I was ahead of the car to the right of me but they did his service first so that was annoying considering my wait time. The plus was that they were doing a $15 off promotion on oil changes so mainly the reason i waited.

I sat waiting in line 20 minutes to move into an available bay. That would have been okay if I didn t have to then wait another 30 minutes to have someone start on my car. Once they started, they took about 20 minutes from start to finish. Everyone was polite and did their tasks well, but I really wasn t expecting to spend over an hour at a Take 5.

EDITING since it won't let me reply to the owner .. had the long wait times been the only issue, we might consider returning BUT bait & switch and sneaky, dishonest employees are something I can not get behind & this is exactly what we experienced. Additionally, I find it very interesting that you chose to ignore that part of my review.Took so long .. 2 technicians working doing one vehicle at a time using all 3 bays .. fine, but at least tell us there will be a little bit of a wait. But then after confirming that we wanted the same oil change as last time (the economy for $49.99) they did the oil change then said our total was over $70. When asked to confirm that they did the economy that we requested & always get he said no, they did the premium because our mileage was just barely over 120,000. So we were given a different service than requested & forced to pay a higher price because they did what they wanted. I get that the mileage had just gone over 120,000, but that doesn't mean you can just do a premium oil change without checking with the customer first & giving them the choice when they clearly asked for the same oil change as last time (economy) & you verified the type of oil & never once stated it would need to be premium. Very sneaky & not a good way to do business.

I always go to a Take 5 to get my oil changed and never had any issues. First time going to this particular one and I was greeted by Steven. He was very nice and informed me they would be with me in a few minutes. I was then approached by Curt whose customer service needs a little work or maybe he was having a bad day. Overall I was able to get the service done and will return in the future.

Always polite . Great service only one complaint but not a complaint just wish everyone knew how to reset your dash when the maintenance required indicator is on. Pray one time go and no one knows . But other than that great service will always go to them have been for a long while as long as service continues to be great

I am used to dealership oil changes (that are free lol) Take 5 has great and fast service. I didn't even have to get out of my car and was offered water while I waited the whole 10 mins! They open at 7am and I was ablte to go before work and still be on time. Knowledgable techs and decent prices (i feel like they are slightly inflated, but again I've never really paid for an oil change). They explained oil types, prices, and other things to me. I don't think they offer the free safety inspections that generally accompany oil changes but they do top off fluids and tire air. You also can get a free top off of fluids and air any time before the date for your next appointment. Love that.

I had an amazing exchange with the crew yesterday who took excellent care of my car without me having to get out of the car. I love their service and they actually have solid senses of humor. I always go here for my oil changes

Been going to Take 5 for years, they're always quick and friendly. Recently I went in and there was a issue with my car that the manager fixed right there and there, saved me a ton of time and money, and got me out the door real quick. Great team and an amazing manager!

Just finished up at this location. You boy said gotta grab your oil , which I thought was pretty strange, since that s why I was here. But, I rolled with it. What he actually meant was he had to leave this building, get in his car, and drive to Chesapeake to get the oil. When I realized what was going on I was basically hit with a shoulder shrug from the other employee. When the kid finally got back and I mention how lame it was that they d make a customer sit there for 45 minutes while the restocked their oil, he stared at me like he had no idea that that d be a problem. Like that sorta thing should just be understood and accepted. Legit, this place has eleventeen year olds working at it. Absolutely no common courtesy or social skills. Be warned, they will stare in to space for long periods of time until you give up and just accept the horrible experience that is getting oil change at this place. Imma start letting the 15 year old hood rat that lives next door do it.

Good quick service. I only wish they would not lie about all the things they say they checked on the vehicle. They did NOT clean the windshield, never touched the wipers, etc.

I ve been here twice always great service. The first visit they told me I didn t need an oil change yet, second visit they did an oil change and topped off all fluids. Kurt was great.
