If I could leave negative stars I would. I took my vehicle to Steve s Auto Repair on Monday the 11th due to it having a miss. He told me he got rid of 80% of the miss I asked him straight to his face said okay, but it will be okay to have my kids in the car right? and he said yes. Clearly he was wrong. I made it home about 10 mins away, then went to food lion to get dinner and almost broke down. Check engine light flashing and it bogging down again. Not only did he keep my vehicle all week giving excuses after excuses his incompetent mechanics left a nut off of one of my coil packs and left THREE coil packs loose. I have video of that however I it wouldn t let me post the videos or I would have. Also, they broke/took something out of my driver door panel because when it shut it made a horrible noise. I will NEVER take my vehicles to this place nor recommend to anyone. I would take it back and have him fix the issue however NONE of his incompetent mechanics will ever touch my vehicles again. I will be reporting to the BBB as well. I normally am not one to leave reviews however I hope no one else will ever have to go through this with his business.

So yes I took my SUV to Mr Steve for electrical work (Dash and Brake lights) and a brake issue which emerged from a not so well to do mechanics work which was performed while my main mechanic was out of town on vacation. The brake pedal was going all the way to the floor basically. I wouldn t have fathomed it would take 4 weeks for this to be complete and would tally $900 plus dollars for the work to be honest even after me buying my own cluster panel and picking it up for them to complete, but I was just happy to get my truck back as I still had some small parts to put on it like headlights and switches before I got my new engine put in by my mechanic whom would be back from vacation soon. I hadn t been able to drive it, even though the holidays and my father has just passed. I m easygoing. And so some days go by and my brake pedal once again goes all the way to floor while I m trying to stop so I get it looked at by another entity whom righted it so it doesn t move now. That is not a good thing when you can t stop. Said entity who tightened up the brakes from going to the floor while I m attempting to stop was given the task of putting in a climate control panel and control buttons in the steering wheel, to no avail at my disappointment. I fact somehow he damaged my ignition, brake light switch behind the pedal, radio, and plastic dash panel while working on the steering wheel buttons and climate panel. Whole idiot to not even start with and I would not have fathomed this happening either. The ignition cost $350.So again my truck goes back to Mr. Steve to fix. I m hoping it won t take as long this go around as it s a New Year and I m starting a night job soon to recoup after the loss of my last parent and being partially homeless with my dog while waiting on the one I m working on acquiring. So it s getting the radio to come back on, brake lights and those buttons which I ordered off of Amazon. I also asked if he could replace my headlights and brake lights as a whole being I d just got a new set thinking it would not have cost so much. After getting my vehicle on a lift, under further inspection I also needed my ball and ? replaced so a wheel wouldn t come off while I was driving. I okayed the work. Tha tally came to $845 for all of the work. That s $1,770 for work and my buttons weren t even put in my steering wheel as requested, nor was another switch which clearly sat in view and I requested to have installed on my door. One of my headlights is a bit loose and I can t control the volume from my steering wheel as before. I m thankful to have my vehicle back and Mr Steves Shop got most of the jobs done, but I may be out of my five year warranty which I wanted for the engine I have yet to be put in by main mechanic and there are still things I requested which weren t completed so I am a bit reserved on how I d tout his work to my personal training clients, former tax clients(est. 1968), landscaping clients and soon base of dollars for my upcoming book coming from a family of Authors but would recommend his services still. We know good business. I give Mr Steve a 3.9 out of five stars in my experience which is not everyone s and may not be the case with my other two older pickup trucks I m giving away as gifts to select people in need to help them get on their feet. Someone has to fix them and they got the stuff done so I could pass inspection, my only small qualm was the coup de grace with the last de small instances and not just going to the cluster panel on the dash the first go around so I would have had my truck back sooner to have been bestowed that five year warranty I may regret not acquiring with so much happening and time parameters.

Amazing service! My car didn't start this morning and after my neighbors jumped me I brought it to Steve's for a diagnostic. (I had been previously told somewhere else my battery was fine and it was the electrical system.) Despite being incredibly busy, they were able to squeeze me in for a diagnostic that revealed it was,in fact, the battery. They got me a new battery and I was on my way. I am so incredibly grateful to the team. Everyone was very friendly. I could tell they really care about their customers, not only by the way they took care of me, but also by how they were caring for another customer as well.

Better late than never - Around 2012 Cracked my corvette ttop when I left at his shop for a tune up. Kept giving me the run around until a finally just gave up on him paying for it. Was a pretty regular customer until then my dad had gone to him for years, but guess Steves just too busy to care. If he treats his regular customers that way I can imagine how he has such horrible reviews on google.

Horrible called to get car towed was told they would come in a hour. 3hours later no call no show I call again was told they would call right back and never called this was a Friday. Come Monday morning they call asking did I still need tow yes and no I no longer want to deal with you. Very unprofessional not to mention my sister told me not to deal with them because of her horrible experience herself. Would not recommend to nobody not even an enemy

Steve does it all. If you want a fair price Steve will give it to you and will not break your bank. He will have you buy the Part from the manufacture for the same amount as he will get it and you will pay for the labor which is 60% less than the Dealership. Common now, The same mechanics from he dealership that get paid the same amount but Steve doesn't try to break the bank or there backs. It isn't a cozy place like the dealership but what do you want? I wish I won a Million dollars to help Steve out and build him a nicer place so he can house the mechanics with state of the art technology and comfortable working conditions but it is what it is.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Brakes, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

Zero stars was not an option. This shop is the worst I have ever encountered. I brought my car in leaking coolant and was told it would be a 4 hr job. 4 days later I got my car back still leaking coolant and with a horrible noise. Took it back Monday and was told the water pump was bad and it was covered under warranty. Was told it would be ready done Tuesday which came and went. Wednesday I went up there and the car was parked a cross the street and apparently ready to go The car has the same exact noise that it had on Monday. Then Steve goes to say oh that s not a water pump noise that s something else. Although he told me the exact opposite on Monday. I m convinced that the mechanics there have no idea what they are doing. If you value your property please take your vehicle elsewhere.

Steve was such a great help! He WAS very busy and I was scared, as a single female, going to take my car to this new, unfamiliar shop. BUT, they were so helpful and tried to be as accommodating as possible! I had visited the Nissan dealership earlier with a car concern and they turned me away. Auto Zone listened to my concerns and directed me to Steves. He was caring, patient and his employees, while appearing to be rough around the edges, were very friendly. I had to return a week later for my car to get worked on because my schedule would not permit any sooner, and they immediately explored my car concerns and even buffed out some parking lot car dings. Again, they could have turned me away because I was with my with my dog, but they were patient, polite, kind, and very informative! I will definitely return here for any further work, may it even just be an oil change. Steve was very genuine and never once did I feel he was putting interest in money ahead of my safety or car concerns. Thank you all so much for your business!

BEWARE!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE TO BE SERVICED!!! I went to this shop on 4/15/21 to get an inspection sticker for my vehicle. I told Steve that my airbag light was on and I wanted to know what s going on with it and I ll determine if it s something I can afford to fix right now or not. I had to leave my car there (voluntarily) because I had an appointment. When I went back to check the status of the car, Mr. Steve gave me the details of why my airbag light was on and told me how much my bill was. He made me believe that the work had been completed and the car was ready to go. I was a little upset but I went ahead and agreed to pay for it. I paid for the services and walked to my car all to see that all my wiring under my steering wheel are pulled/hanging out and I didn t have my inspection sticker. I went back in the store and told Steve about it and he had his workers to fix the issue. Later that day, I discovered my master window control (on driver side) only operates the driver side window. I called him the same day and told him about this issue and he told me to bring the car back in the morning. I went to the shop the next morning 4/16/21 for him to look at it. He s now telling me he has to put it on the diagnostic machine to determine what s wrong with it. He then tells me that the problem with my window control panel has nothing to do with the wiring he touched to fix/correct a voltage drop to repair my airbag has no connection to the issue with my door. Now he wants to do another diagnostic to charge me for the repair of my door panel. I honestly think it s a wiring issue that they neglected to do correctly but he s neglecting to fix it without wanting to charge me additional money. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE. Of course he offered to fix it but it will be for money money. Now I have to find someone to repair this problem because HE WILL NOT GET BACK IN MY CAR TO PERFORM ANY OTHER SERVICE!

I ve been to other shops and they have outrageous prices. These shops price gauge the money out of you and tell you that this and that is wrong when I ve taken our vehicles here to Steve s and we get upfront honest service for a great price. I was told by a shop that I needed a oil pan replacement and it would cost me a total of $1,300. Took it to Steve s and it was a $25 part that needed replacing. I sit and read the reviews for Steve s and wonder if these people either tried to get free service or were disgruntled employees at one time.Steve s the place to go if you want quality and honest service. Point blank.

This place is unprofessional, from the staff to the owner. They told me I would have my car back in 3 days from a Airbag light being on. When i got my car back, my rearview mirror was off, my back seat cupholders were apart, and it didn't shift in 1st gear. Steve also inspected it without approval. Then he wanted to keep my car for another week, making promises that I knew he wasn't going to keep. I had to drive my car away to another shop, I did not want this crook touching my car anymore. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

After several attempts of trying to solicit service on my car I was continuously being put off time and time again with suggestions from Steve the owner to call in. On my last attempt to arrange service or appointment date with Steve, he in the middle of my conversation he rudely told me i m busy, gotta go and hung up on me. No display of courtesy or professionalism at all. Don t need your service Steve. You proved the horror stories about your establishment is true.

I ve been going to Steve for my car for awhile now and he s the only one I trust with it. His prices are fair & he makes sure all your car needs are met. I will recommend this place to anyone.

I went here awhile ago. That place like to over charge, especially if you are a woman. Steve is a liar and will make up things that are wrong with your car before even checking it out. Would not recommend anyone to go here. Steve use to be honest, than he turn into a crook!

I trusted Steve and always felt a could. My last experience with his shop has caused to regret dealing with him, so I will not be going back there again. I had a bad ac compressor and he told me that he could replace it with a used one. I suggested that he put a new one in, back in April of 2014 of course. He kept insisting that it would work so I trusted him, after all he is the mechanic. Well of course two months ago, my ac compressor blew again, and it was as if he showed no remorse. He told me that of course he would put in the new one now for another thousand dollars, um no thanks, I will pass. SO I decided to just not deal with him anymore. He wasn't trying to offer anything other than a headache so I choose not to deal with him anymore. And those are facts. No complaints from my tune-ups tho.

My electrical repair should have taken 1 ot 2 weeks tops but it took them 4 months and the work was not complete. My 1965 truck was damaged and filthy when I got fed up and brought my truck home! I will never go there again and I will never recommend this terrible and unprofessional establishment. Oh and Steve the owner is a liar. If he says he's going call you back he won't

**UPDATE** just to let everyone know, if you had a horrible experience at this place and write a bad review. Steve will (after 2 years) find your personal cell # that's changed 3 times, and will threaten legal action against you for your post that only shows the TRUTH about what's going on at this place. jus thought everyone should know that before they post. my post will remain here due to the truthfulness of it, and me being able to back it w/ at least 4 people....3 of them being his own mechanics.......DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!I brought my 63 thunderbird here to have the transmission rebuilt, and after 2 months of constantly checking on it every other day I finally got to pick my car up. I drove my wife and 2 kids to the mall and on the way up the parking garage my car stopped moving forward. After having it towed back to steves, and another week of waiting he finally said that it was the transmission. When I talked to his mechanic he told me that it was a clutch that went bad in it, and when I asked why it went out, he said because it was the old one.....I figured when you pay $1100 to have a transmission rebuilt, that it would actually be rebuilt. After that, steve offered to get another transmission to replace the old one with. I went along with it because I just wanted my car. It took another 7 months my car to come back toe, and I checked on it every week. Once it was done I went to pick up the car, and steve has the audacity to say he gave me a discount on the transmission, and wanted another $400. This place is a joke, and I don't know how anyone ever takes thier vehicle there.

One of the pigtails and my headlights fried itself mr. If you have any electrical issues with your vehicle they will find and fix it. His labor is cheaper than the dealership and most shops locally. You have to get there early because the place is very busy
