Do not take your car to GAC Automotive, The owner, Peter Eates Sr., will slam every nut and bolt on with impact wrenches instead of using a torque wrench. Even axle nuts which improper torque preload will cause premature bearing wear will get hammered on with a impact. He's got a YouTube channel @AutoRepairTips757 where he blocks comments and users who criticized him for improper repair work.

My car was in an accident, on right side,I talked to Pete,I had told Pete because I had talked to another body shop,and he was telling me I may wanna try find some of my body parts cause it s older car,but Pete reassure me after he say my car he could get the parts,cause I told him Car Parts had new struts ,shocks,etc that will fit that car,talk to Pete 2 days later told me he already had all my parts,I told him make sure they good parts. Well they was junk yard parts in bad condition, so know he wants to re charge me to replace parts,headlights recharged me 525 to put on,,when you drive car on right side u can hear it rubbing against something, I took to body shop in VA beach ,they say it's shocks on right side,I told pete,he said if I get part ,he will charge me for putting on,maybe alittle low price,but he said he don't give warranty on parts he put on or basically no labor warranty. I won't ever go back there

Let me just say everyone in the 757 should be taking their vehicle to them for repairs. I had to shops in Norfolk give me some bull and not fix my car. they were recommended to me so I went gave them a list of complaint. i got my car back and everything was done. was reasonably priced and was completed faster than I expected because they had to figure my heat issue out. I normally do not go to Ptown, but I will from now on for my car. Thank GAC for being upstanding auto repair place and not ripping a girl off!Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Tires, Wheel alignment, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

I have bought 3 used vehicles from GAC. Been very happy with each one, enough to drive from North Carolina each time I'm car shopping. My latest vehicle developed a problem within a week of getting it. I brought it back, they looked it over & repaired it at no cost in 2 business days. If I could give a higher recommendation than 5 stars, I would. 100% would recommend GAC to anyone looking for a used car or a mechanic.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Awesome experience. Super friendly staff and great pricing! I dropped off my Jeep in the morning and it was ready that afternoon for a windshield replacement. This is my third windshield and the first time I took it somewhere else and was left with a whistling sound after they installed it. Even after going back and getting it resealed there was a whistling sound when I drove. After taking it to GAC there is no whistling!! They did an excellent job.

Wow, just wow. I can't tell you how great this place is. I dropped my car off and it needed A LOT of work done. I had no idea on the price, i had been quoted a couple different ones from different companies and then i found GAC and Pete. They had my car fixed in no time. They were honest with what they found wrong and they got me up and running for a great price. I would recommend this shop to any and everyone. I will be returning for years to come.

I purchased a 2001 VW Jetta 1.8T from this company in 0ct2015. The test drive went perfect and I was impressed with the vehicle and it's price, so I purchased it. Thirty minutes into my drive home I noticed a weird sound coming from the engine and contacted the dealership. They basically told me I purchased it as is, reimbursed me $100.00 and told me that they can not do anything else for me. This noise turned out to be the cam chain tensioner, a frayed timing belt, and the front chassis. So two days later I am out $1,250 dollars for repairs and $1500 for the car. In December the transmission started slipping and I now lose 4th gear on occasion. I have lost so much money on this car due to scamming this automotive company has put me through. I would not recommend them to anyone!Sincerely,Ricky

I purchased a 2002 Honda Civic from this establishment that constantly ran hot, & flashed the "Check Engine" light, even after taking it to Peter for repairs on several occasions. At this point, i had only had the vehicle about 30 days. I took it to Peter about 3 times, & each time no defects could be found with the vehicle. Finally, I took it to another mechanic at a different establishment, who found that the thermostat had "somehow" been broken, so that the gauge would not correctly display inside the vehicle. (Ex: Vehicle running hot, & not displaying so). The mechanic also found that the vehicle was misfiring, had dry-rotted tires, & needed extensive work. After a long battle, even taking Peter to court(DBA: The Jezzi Corporation, Registered agent, Daniel Dickenson, the more you know), I lost repairs, & was out of money!!I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE!!!

Piss poor customer service. I arrived within 5 minutes of being told over the phone that there was no wait for state inspections. Once I get there(5 minutes later) they tell me that the inspector is leaving and that it s none of my business as to why. Things happens is what I was told.
