Fai was great - he took my car in as soon as I called and had it fixed the next day. He was so helpful, and just a really genuine and nice guy. Fair price, and fast and friendly service - so happy to have found Fai s Car Care.

I highly recommend that anyone with car repair issues to give him a call first. He's extremely knowledgeable and he's also very affordable. I won't be using anyone else.

Fai's Car Care is the most efficient car care center that I have ever been to. He checks your car thoroughly and makes sure that the job is done correctly. I needed a new radiator installed, and he found something else that needed to be replaced and did it without charging any additional labor. His price is so reasonable. It is truly a blessing to find honest people. I am so pleased with the service, and would highly recommend this place without hesitation.

Fai is absolutely fantastic! He s busy, but he still found time to replace my brake pads on extremely short notice today. Even brought out a space heater to keep the waiting room warm while he worked on my car! This guy is a true representative of his faith honest, patient, and helpful. I ll definitely be coming back and recommending him to all my friends!

I've finally found a truly honest mechanic. After having issues with my car hesitating and idling rough, I took the car into Fai on a Saturday. I work all week, so it's tough finding a mechanic open on Saturdays. He took the car right in and spent time talking to me showing me things that may need attention down the line. Never did I feel pressured into anything. He took his time, went above and beyond my expectations and charged me slightly less than I had expected. I highly recommend him and will continue to be a customer.

Hands down the best car mechanic I have ever been to! Great service, updates on what is going on with your car (unlike other places), honest, fast and knowledgeable. I had a free quote and did not feel pressured at all to choose him as my mechanic. When he was working on my car he found some other problem that he updated me about and fixed without charging me more for the labor! Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a good and honest mechanic!

Simply put, Fai is the man! I should keep this hidden gem for myself. It's hard finding a good mechanic and I've been around the block. The communication, pricing, honesty, and expertise are all exceptional. He is basically a one-man shop, both the mechanic and the guy on the phone so you don't have to worry about talking to a service advisor where there is often a communication breakdown about actual work being done. Only downside I can think of is he earning himself a reputation so you may have to wait a few days to be seen. I came from VB with my son so it was a little more planning. I knew exactly what I wanted done (transmission fluid exchange, transmission filter, and have the park brake tightened) but I would not hesitate to bring a car in for troubleshooting. His pricing is very fair and I can vouch for his honesty and integrity. I wanted the service done in a specific way and he was accommodating and even offered advice. He ran into a hiccup and had to make some adjustments and only charged me for additional parts and not extra labor. All said and done I ended up paying a little more than I had originally expected, but for the amount of work and level of care, not a problem. Fai runs a great shop and deserves PLENTY of business. Just not too much. So I can bring my cars in :D

Fai has excellent customer service and truly cares about what he does. He does not try to take advantage of you by doing unnecessary work on your car and he addresses the urgent matters first. If he does not provide a particular service, he will direct you to a technician/business that does. He was personable and professional and I am thankful I was referred to him.

I found Fai's shop from doing a simple google search.. If i can avoid going to a money gouging car mechanic corp, I will by all means. Fai goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service and doing what's best for your vehicle. He's a genuinely honest and fair mechanic and will even take you back into the shop to show you what's going on with your car. If you're looking for an honest mechanic! Take your car to this guy!

We feel blessed that our car broke down just a mile from Fai. Driving back to our Airbnb from Norfolk our Jeep overheated so we quickly pulled off the highway to let it cool down. We added extra coolant and water to the system but it still wasn't working. Called a few different shops with no luck. Then we found Fai. He was obviously busy but told us to limp down to his shop and he would take a look at it. Turns out we had a busted radiator and a bad thermostat. We were preparing to find a way to get back to Rocky Mount NC when he said he would try to get us fixed fast. We were expecting a few days at least but we stayed an extra night. The next morning we got a call saying our car was ready to go and we couldn't believe the price for such a quick turnaround. This man went out of his way and probably stayed up all night to help this veteran and and my wife get back on the road.We truly feel blessed because had our car broken down just one exit before or after we would most likely have had a much different outcome. I would honestly drive the 3 hours from Rocky Mount to have more repairs done by Fai in the future.

Fai's Care Care hands down is the best shop I've gone to when it comes to fair honest service! I've brought my vehicle to multiple shops before I came to Fai and his team for my vehicle shutting off while driving and not starting back up the other shops were rude and said I needed multiple parts and hours on hours of labor to fix my car but Fai was very honest not to mention the most knowledgeable technician I've come across he pin pointed the problem to just an alternator not only did he give me a very good price compared to the money hungry other shops he treated me like family and was very hospitable! I will definitely be recommending Fai's Car Care to friends and family! They have a customer for life!

My girlfriend's car was having issues with the caliper so we took the car to Fai's Car Care to have it checked out. Fai was very quick to figure out what was wrong with the caliper and make the necessary repairs. Fai is a great mechanic for everything from minor to major mechanical issues. We've employed him for brakes and rotors and oil changes on our fleet vehicles to a tune up when our mini-van just wouldn't keep running and fixed the A/C when it had a leak in the interior core which required a major tear down of the dash. He gets it right every time.

He was willing to make time for me to bring my car in to be checked on a Saturday because it was overheating. Although I didn't use his services because I felt very uncomfortable about him pouring coolant into my car when it was already overheated and extremely hot . As far as I've ever been told you are supposed to let your car cool down before putting any liquids into it. So that's why I chose to take my car elsewhere.

Had Fai fix the AC in my truck. Great guy, clean organized shop. Very secure with a fenced perimeter. He was quick on ordering the parts and very well priced. He told me when the vehicle would be done by and it was surely done when he said it would and blowing ice cold. Will be back for sure.

Our family has had many cars serviced by Fai. He has fixed all of our car problems and his prices are very reasonable. Best mechanic in Portsmouth. Please call if you need immediate service as the shop is usually busy. Fai takes care of your vehicle and pays attention to detail. He does a thorough job, keeps you rolling and prices are very reasonable.

Fal say Car Care for a reason !He isn't going to take any short cuts when it comes to your Vehicle, he will tell you straight and to the point what's wrong and fix it right the first time . I was lucky enough to see a flier and started taking my Vehicles to Fai a couple of years ago and I've never been disappointed in his work or demeanor and he actually will try and help you keep cost down but he never takes his work for granted .Fai is one of the four respectable mechanics that I've come across in my lifetime and I would tell anyone with car problems to give him a chance, he is really an exception to what you believe mechanics to be.Thanks Fai , much respect !

My car would crank but wouldnt start.After testing every thing i could think of and double checking every part i could think of, i knew i was going to need a diagnostic. I am very mechanically inclined and have a good knowledge of vehicle repair having experience in the workfield for 5+ years, i didnt want to give up on fixing it myslef but i was stumped after checking sensors, spark plugs, coil packs, fuel injectors, fuel pump, battey, starter etc. I didnt want to take it to the dealer to get the "no lube" treatment just for them to test everything i had already tested and tell me they need another hundred, and then another hundred just to test things and end up replacing parts i might not need, leading to an expensive repair bill. I knew who i wanted to work on my car, because i have never seen him give up on any issue with a vehicle,because i had the pleasure of working with him for 2 years at a previous employer and learned alot from him.Fai is one of the smartest technicians i have ever worked with. Always has been very honest and understanding that nobody has money to just "throw away" and when i finally found him, i got the results i was looking for. My car is back on the road, starts up smoother than it ever did before,and i didn't have to sell my first born or take out a loan to pay him because the price was fair. I do all my repairs on my own, but if i ever have a problem i can't fix, Fai's Car Care will be my first and only choice to have my vehicles' or my family and friends vehicles' repaired.

I have had Mr. Fai Tai service my vehicles several times down thru the years. These are some of the repairs he did for my suv and truck: 1( all my scheduled maintenance including coolant and transmission flushes); 2(When he was working elsewhere, he changed several sets of tires and aligned them); 3( he diagnosis my no start problem and replaced my truck's fuel pump and filter); 4( he diagnosis my vacuum leaks and did a full tune up on my truck); 5( he did timing belt, water pump, and full tune up for my suv and still runs smoothly after 60,000 miles); 6( he did all my brakes and rotors for all my vehicles); 7( he did my electrical diagnostic and replaced my blower motor switch for my suv); 8( he polished my plastic head lamp lens assemblies so I don't have to buy a set of new ones) 9(He did my ball joints and tie rods for my truck); 10( most recently he diagnosis and fixed my air conditioning problem and got it to run cold and fixed the leak problems). I have never had any complaint about the service work that is list above that he has done!

Had a jackleg mechanic put spark plugs and coil packs in my Expedition. My truck ran worse afterwards. Took my truck to Fai's and he put my truck through a diagnostic. Gave me a call with the issue(s) and the probabilities and possibilities. Did his research on the truck, gave me a call with his theory and what he planned to do. Found the issue with my truck and gave me a call with the diagnosis. Bought the parts and fixed what was wrong. Had my truck 24 hrs. and I'm SUPER happy and satisfied with the job he did. Will recommend hom to EVERYONE. TOP OF THE LINE MECHANIC. THANKS AGAIN MR. FAI!!

Friendly, and honest place, and they do great work! l love when they're fixing your car, and they notice that your about to have a problem somewhere else. They show it to you, and give you an estimate on how much longer you might have before it go bad. They also give you a price on how much it will cost to get fix.

Wifes van was making a clicking sound. Wheel beering, cv shaft, tie rod ends. Could have been minimal, but fai explained what would end up happening down the road. Car drives like brand new. Thank you very much!

Fixed our suspension in less than 20 minutes!! Very honest and nice. Squeezed us in on a Saturday. Will be returning!!
