Wiper broke last night in the snow storm, thankfully i found this little place. They gave me no Trouble to let me park the semi there over night. Didn't get to have fresh dinner food but was pleasantly surprised to pay 5 bucks for a breakfast sandwich that wasn't microwaved. Thanks for helping a stressed trucker girl out!

Delicious! Hidden Gem! It looks like any small gas station with a convenience store... Small but mighty kitchen offers good variety of real hickory-smoked meats, fresh breads (even gluten-free and naan), seafood and sides. I had the pulled pork sandwich with slaw on a locally made potato roll. It was magnificent. Truly. The meat was smoked to perfection, moist, tender and was heated on the stovetop in front of me (and not gooey with any sauce). The vinegar slaw had just the right amount of bite - nothing extreme, and the toasted roll was crisp on the exterior and steamy and soft on the interior. Did I mention it was just $6. There are 4 or 5 seats at the bar / countertop and while eating I saw a to-go reuben assembled, starting with deli-slicing the meat. Mmmmmm! I would like to try the oysters, chorizo and any number of other things on the menu here...We will be back!

I just love this place. Anytime I leave from Cville headed to Nelson I stop. Great selection of offerings from the grill. All the conventional convenience store sundries with more than a handful of items that may catch one by surprise. Plus the staff is super friendly. Over in all worth the stop.

Since they reorganized the inside it is way less cramped which is great. The grill is fantastic, I've tried tons of stuff from their very long and baked menu and everything is great. Cashiers are always super nice and they have a pretty good selection of vapes.

The gas prices are great! The food is really good and a great selection of sandwiches or ask for a custom one ahead of time, by calling in, which is what I do MOST of the time as it can get very busy. By doing this, I get my sandwich in a timely manner and help the flow of customers to move along! Oh and the staff are very cool/nice!!! Friday is "Fish Fry Friday", with awesome choices of fish! Oh did I mention Oysters? "GET IN MY BELLY"!!!Enjoy!Eric V.

Hidden gem. You'd probably not guess that this gas station/convenience store had such a great grill, but look a little deeper and you will see the constant stream of folks in and out all day ordering an incredible variety of food. Yesterday we had a soft shell crab sandwich and a tuna avocado melt. Good stuff! Often we get smoked chicken salad sandwich and a reuben. Tex Mex and BBQ look great, too. Too many choices, and we're having a hard time veering from our faves, but give this place a try, because it's all good!

The trading Post is great! They have the cleanest non-ethanol gasoline in the area (and yes we tested several sources). They have an excellent fish fry on Fridays. During inclement weather they do everything that they can do to remain open. They do this so that there is always somewhere locals can go for generator fuel and supplies. They will always get our business.

Its hard to find non ethanol gas these days. The Trading Post is the most consistent station I have found around Charlottesville. The staff is always helpful and fun. The food and environment are both great. Worth stopping anytime your south of town on 29.

The gas was reasonable the day I went. The cashiers were friendly and helpful. Parking was tight with limited space but that is probably from popularity & location!

The food is ok, But the people who work there are the rudest I have ever encountered.... I have been there 3 times in the last 2 months and each time was treated poorly... One time I was looking for a drink and one of the workers took the door to the drink cooler out of my hand, closed it and told me to move.... Money snatched out of my hand while paying another time and just talked to in a rude manner in general.... Never in my life have I seen people act this way at a business. Most of the people I work with are steering clear of this store from now on.2 stars because the food is good. I will give them that.

I like there food! Friday is Fried Fish day! I've called ahead and asked for it baked, and they complied nicely!!! Gas prices are comparable to most places, and lots of food choices!!!

Beware this place is a rip off at the gas pumps. My truck holds 32 gallons and already had a quarter tank. Pump and receipt said I pumped 29 gallons, afterwards I only had three quarters of a tank. You do the math. Owner did nothing. He didn't want to be bothered. They also have a dog behind the counter where they prepare the food.

Great place to swing by when passing through the area.I'll often stop by to grab a made to order sandwich when passing through. They have a good menu, and their ingredients are fresh.Staff are really friendly and nice to talk to (or not if you don't want to), they even made me a sandwich after they closed the deli, for which I was super appreciative.

I used to rave about food here. Last two times when I inquired if they had the smoked Turkey back and was told yes, it was not so. Ordered previous fave Smoked Turkey Reuben. Turkey obviously NOT smoked. Sandwich NOT smoked Turkey. Don't eat there if Maria isn't cooking ie. On weekend. Bathroom filthy.

Always the lowest gas prices in Charlottesville! Great food, especially the Friday fish fry. Better prices on beer and staples than anyone else in the area.

I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. Making new friends and meeting the people. The menu could be at a five star restaurant and it would fit right in. Can't wait to pass through again!

Well just got 25$ worth of gyros, slightly disappointed. Huge tuff chunks of boiled mystery meat. No lettuce, no tomatoes, melted cheese. Well 2nd reason besides the diesel pump taking 1/2 the morning to pump 20 gallons of fuel. Want to try to support locals. Sorry lost my business on this one.

Lowest gas prices in Charlottesville, sometimes as much as 20 cents a gallon cheaper.Add to that better food, better selection, less expensive beer and convenience items and nicer staff than the Crossroads Store a mile away, what's not to love.

Least expensive gas in the area. Very poor getting in and out with a vehicle. Could use more help inside. A couple of Deli selections I've tried we're good, smoked chicken salad, yum

Often I'll come by fifteen minutes before closing and the door will be locked. Food is overpriced, so is gas. The food is better than crossroads nearby which is why I gave two stars rather than one.

"Ok to start the fish fry Friday fish is good but expensive $12 a meal 1 piece of fish a couple of small side? and a little weird that the same mix is left out and used again and again how I know I stopped by the next day and the same dipping flour was there thank god we didn't get sick and the steak and cheese was horrible the cheese make you feel sick to your stomach $30 dollars wasted but good expensive fish"

Stopped here on the way back home from a trip to Ocean City. Inside is cramped, and they have one working toilet. Prices are ok. This place is kinda in the middle of nowhere on US-29. There was some internal work going on when we stopped in. Hopefully that is finished up now.

I'm handicapped and they give me so much help. Food is great. In particular I love the fish and the coleslaw is the best in the Charlottesville area.

I was running low on gas and I really really needed to refill to continue my journey.I decided to stop at the Trading Post to refill because it was the cheapest and closest to me. -Also, it was suggested by waze-My Review is just about the gas, I didn't really go into the store.

Great breakfast sandwiches, friendly staff and decent gas prices. Easy off and back on Rt 29. Plenty of parking to pop in to get something at their market.

If you want Premium Gas for your Harley but WITHOUT the ethanol added to gas everywhere else, this place has it! Premium "no ethanol" gas. Just the way your Harley likes it.

I was on vacation and stopped by this little country store. The service was absolutely disgusting!!! Can't believe the cashier and her attitude!! If I should ever pass thru again I will be sure and have LEAD FOOT on the gas pedal.
