These guys are great! I've brought my car in for minor and very MAJOR repairs and they were able to fix all the issues I was having. They're good at explaining things in layman's terms for people who aren't as well-versed when it comes to cars. Their prices are very fair as well. I had a great experience at University Car Care and wanted to share my positive feedback. I had called them around 3:30pm to see if they could squeeze me in to patch a nail hole in my drivers side rear tire.When I arrived, I asked them to also check my passenger side rear tire as it kept losing air. They discovered that an old patch was leaking and promptly replaced it. I also asked if they could rotate my tires, and they managed to fit everything in, even staying 30 minutes late to make sure the job was done.Paul was the technician that patched and rotated my tires, while Josh ensured that the pricing for balancing, rotating, and patching my tires was fair. Mike gave me my key and made sure everything was working well in my car and that I was satisfied with the work.As someone who is familiar with how auto shops work, with my dad being a mechanic in Pennsylvania, I can confidently say that this shop takes exceptional care in their work and is very fair. It was such a relief to have my tires patched up, and the fact that rotating them made them feel brand new made the experience even better.Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this auto shop to anyone in need of auto services. As always, a pleasurable experience at University Car Care. Timely, honest, dependable. No matter how busy they are, I always feel like I m the only one there and my satisfaction and the care of my car are of utmost importance to them. Mike P. is always personable, comes to me with recommendations but not pushy like the other shops . I ve been bringing my vehicles here for years and will continue for years to come.

Always efficient, courteous, and patient! Worked with me about insurance and communicated everything clearly. Offered to keep my car inside the shop overnight bc my window was broken in, which really meant a lot in a stressful situation. Reasonable costs and quick responses. They re always really busy but really nice. If you re willing to work they will teach you. Got my tire patched and I think it s running lower than the others and they said they d take a look at it for me as well!

The only shop I will trust with my vehicle. I live a good bit away from their location but I will gladly drive just to have them work on my vehicles. My family has been going here for well over a decade.LJ, Mike, Josh and James (along with all the other technicians) are straight up no BS people. I ve never felt pressured to buy anything unnecessary and I d do anything they recommend to my vehicle.Just got my yearly inspection done on two vehicles and the guys gave me an honest review and presented with what I need to legally pass and what I should do down the road.It s hard to find a good shop, give these guys a try. Requiring a crucial component for my seventeen-year-old from a long-gone manufacturer--Saab--this tale didn't naturally lead to a happy ending. Joshua's weeks of persistence got the part. The waybill said it came from Maryland, but it meant Hades. Sorry I missed seeing the engine suspended. Ya'll gotta get a video feed. Thanks everybody at University Car Care.

This place is AMAZING!!! We are from out of town and our truck overheated the day we were supposed to leave. We called 5 different repair shops including a dealership and no one would take us. University car care didn t hesitate, recommended that we got it towed there, and helped us that day! In addition, we had a dog with us because we had to check out of our resort. They allowed us to bring our 90 pound yellow lab into the waiting room. Overall, the staff was extremely kind, compassionate, and helpful throughout the entire process.Service: Engine repair

Great Customer Service! Honest, Professional, and Courteous! Prices are reasonable and compatible to competitors! Service is prompt and thorough! Highly Competent Technicians/Service Providers!In the past, I had not done any business with University Car Care Center because some people had given them a bad reputation for not being honest and trustworthy in their business dealings. However, that is not the case with me or the case in my observation of their interaction with their customers. I found Josh and Mike who I dealt with for service on my car to be honest, trustworthy, and extend above average customer service to me and others.They performed a state inspection on my car and passed it according to state inspection guidelines. Did my car need to be serviced or did it have issues of safety in the near future that needed to be addressed after the inspection? Absolutely! Was it issues that I knew about? Absolutely! Did I tell Josh those issues prior to the inspection? Yes, I did! But the issues were not imminent according to state inspection guidelines. The issues my car had were right on the edge of state inspection guidelines. Josh brought to my attention how state inspection guidelines were followed during my inspection and that is why my car passed. Josh also mentioned what I needed to take care of soonest; I already knew what needed to be repaired/serviced; therefor, after my inspection I had University Car Care Center to service my vehicle for those repairs! And they did not charge me an "arm and a leg." Their prices were very reasonable and their service was very prompt and thorough. A job well done! I highly recommend University Car Care Center!

I have patron University car care for many years, and they never fail fixing the problem. The staff there is very accommodating, informative and do their best to make the experience tolerable. Great work, fair prices, great people.

I had a leak in my tire and I needed to get it fixed ASAP. I looked for places in my areas and University Car Care came up. I have them a call and they said that they were busy, but if I could get there soon they would try their bet to get it fixed today. I got there as soon as I could and Mike was very nice and friendly at the front. He took down my information and he showed me the price right up front. He said he would give me a call when it was ready. It is really convenient because my apartment is less than a mile away. He ended up staying late to finish my work. Everything was perfect! My tire was fixed and the price was the exact number he had shown me before. Will definitely be coming back here if I have any other needs!

I don t know why there are reviews saying that this business tends to rip off students because that was far from my experience. Being an ODU student myself, I came in needing a wheel replaced and they were able to do just that perfectly. The cost was more than reasonable, I wasn t charged for anything that I didn t know I was getting; they simply listed some recommendations for me to check out. They even gave me a small courtesy inspection for no cost. I would definitely recommend this business; they re professional, timely, and definitely worth it.

I personally had a great experience with university car care. They were very nice and got my car back to me quickly. I came in early in the morning for a flat tire and they had me out in an hr and I got a great price. They were all very pleasant men and very funny. I definitely will be back soon.

Hands down the only shop I trust. They are truly the best, honest and reasonably priced. This would be the shop you would send your children to while they are away at school. Can't say enough good things about University Car Care!!

They have always done a fantastic job for me. I come here because I can walk back to my house in Larchmont. Mike at the front is always super friendly, tells me what to expect for the length of time they will have it and they always end up finishing sooner. The pieces are realistic and they have even kept my car overnight for me one time when I had a flat right before leaving town and they promised me they would park it inside each night until a few days later when I was going to be back and could pick it up. I love this place much cheaper and more convenient than going to a dealership.

In and around Old Dominion University Norfolk, University car care is the best one. The employees are very friendly and in there point of view they are helping the students. So, they charge a very minimal fee. They car for the car as their own and they respond to us very promptly. In many places I see they charge a lot, even in the so called very big franchises they just charge us a lot by the name of the brand and hard to reach them if the problem repeats. In university car care they always does with on second charges. Overall they are very good people.

They did a phenomenal job on my 4 tire install and oil change. Very courteous and willing to answer those silly questions that non mechanics always ask...Like why does labor cost so much? Or, will my car be like brand new when you're done changing the oil?Really excellent service!

I was actually getting lunch at Subway which is located right next to University Auto when my car wouldn't start. The gentleman working at University Auto quickly helped by trying to jump the car - but that wouldn't work. So he took his time to go back and get another tool and he tapped on the starter to get it to work while I turned on the engine. I'm so thankful for him coming to my rescue as I was running late to an appointment but I was able to get the car started and to the appointment. I tried to pay him but he wouldn't let me and he was definitely my Good Samaritan of the day! Thanks so much!Service: Electrical repair

This is the worst place you can go to. They trick you for repair things that work perfectly.I just bought my car one years ago with less than 10K miles on it. I put my car at this place to do the state inspection, and the staff said my front struts are rusted need to be replace and it cost around 1000 dollar. I mean what? I just drive my car for working, and I just did the 10K miles full car inspection at my dealer shop.SO i called my mechanic and ask him to do the inspection and my mechanic said the struts are working perfectly like the new one, there are no reason to change them.SO I went to another shop to do the car inspections, and they passed it so quickly.What is even hilarious , the staff will call you many times to say they have the lowest price to "fix" the problem. Well, even I did need to change the struts, I got the price from my mechanic are around 600 dollars, which compare to their 1000 dollars price is much cheaper.So please do not come to this place, the staff may look friendly, ask you some questions about car, and if they find out you do not know car that much they will try their best to trick you.

The guys at University Car Care were awesome. Brought my car in for a maintenance trip and ran into a very strange issue where it wouldn't start all of a sudden. They put in a full day's work trying to figure it out and came up with nothing. They offered a few ideas of what to do next and didn't charge me for any of the work they did. I took their advice and had new keys made and it solved the issue. These guys were helpful and honest with me all day and i will be bringing my car here for all of its needs.

I called about a new set of tires, and was given information about several options. They were very patient and helpful, and even suggested how I could save money by ordering online, which I did. The tires were installed promptly, and the charges were very reasonable. Overall, I was completely satisfied.

All of these negative reviews likely come from spoiled, entitled college kids who have no idea how the real world works.The guys at University Car Care are professional and courteous, and they look out for the customers best interests. My first experience with hem was a few years ago when I had to be on the road to NY and got a flat. They had me in and out in an hour and a half.I just got home from picking up my new used car from them. A lot of unforeseen issues popped up, and they ve worked very closely with me over the last few days to get my car up and running. They call around to try to find the best prices on parts. They are truly amazing, and I will be returning to them with both of my cars in the future.

Super professional with good values!Someone entrusted with personal information lost control of our paperwork and it wound up in University Car Care's parking lot. They called us to let us know and held it until we could pick it up even though we aren't customers. It would have been easy to exploit the information, everyone's worst nightmare in the age of identity theft. I know this isn't terribly helpful given we didn't use their auto srrvice, but it's good to know they're trustworthy which can be hard to find.

Only place I'll get my car repairs, and state inspection done at. Other than being conveniently located near my job, the guys here are extremely fair in pricing, and are upfront about everything needing to be done on your vehicle. Very knowledgeable crew, and they are pretty fast too. Highly recommend this place.

Straight up legit guys working their, I needed a fair amount of work I couldn't do myself. Took it to them and they had it done in a day and a half.2005 honda oddy, they have a mechanic that knows the vehicle extremely well, I would suggest them for any make/model car and trust them.
