I visited Tire Choice Auto Service Centers based on a positive review, but my experience was a bit mixed. The facility itself is nice, and if you prefer a more laid-back approach without appointments, it might suit you.However, my visit was prompted by a specific problem that unfortunately wasn't fully resolved. The staff seemed friendly, but the issue persisted, leaving me somewhat disappointed. It's worth considering if you prioritize a casual, appointment-free atmosphere.

This was my third experience with the Tire Choice on Monticello Ave in Norfolk. Each experience was exceptional. The customer service, quality of work, timeliness and reasonable prices are hard to beat. Elijah and his expert team of technicians are patient, knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend them.

I love Tire Choice Auto on Monticello Ave!!! They have the best customer service, the highest quality care, and the most affordable prices in town!!! I have had service all over Hampton Roads and this location is the most trustworthy auto service center I ve ever experienced!!!

HEY, I AM A LIFETIME CUSTOMER NOW. I want to say these gentlemen were so patient, funny and welcoming as soon as I came with problems. I was kind of impatient but they gave me reassurance on everything. Literally in and out lol sorry. The store manager had such a settled, friendly tone to himself. He even convinced me to buy some more things. The technician/ mechanic was super cool and very informative. Thank you so muchELIJAH and JAY. Tire choice give them a raise or a 25 dollar gift card to Applebees. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION

Got off 7 this morning so tired but needed an inspection done. Tire choice was open early, check in was easy, and the mechanics were so nice. Thought I would be there for a few hours because the parking lot was already full. Jay had my car in and out in no time. Thanks tire choice.

Even though I was only there for new tires, the technician was looking after me. He revealed to me that the control arms on the front end were on the verge of catastrophic failure which could have led to a serious accident. Tire Choice made the vehicle and my peace of mind whole again! The vehicle although 20 years old drives like brand new!!

Took my car in for a state inspection. Five hours later they finally called me and told me I need $600 worth of work, but that none of it failed me for the inspection. When I clarified that nothing failed me, they double-checked and said that the back tires did, in fact, fail me. Then I was quoted $500 for everything. I declined because I disagreed that my tires needed to be changed and there were some red flags, so I wanted to shop around so they marked my inspection as a rejection. When I came into the store it took forever just to get my car back. Then they quoted me $361 for the tires. Weird, right Won t be coming back here.

Posting this 4 months later, as I'm sick of finding more and more problems.Took my Wrangler in for a state inspection. They found a couple of expected problems...ok. When trying to replace a tie rod end, they melted the tie rod itself. So I pay for $700 to get next day shipping for a new tie rod....and then Tire Choice installs it upside down, which I only noticed when I started getting severe death wobble >25mph. The wobble then causes severe damage to the steering system, forcing me to replace the steering gear, track bar and drag link. $1400 in parts alone.The last straw: they over-tightened all of the lug nuts to 225 ft-lbs (double the normal limit), so I stripped several lug nuts and broke a breaker bar trying to remove them.Never going here again. Their low level of knowledge and sloppy quality assurance put my family in danger and cost me thousands.AVOID.

I love the staff here!! I ve been coming here for over 10 years and they re always extremely helpful and informative!! This is the ONLY location I come. Never unsatisfied and the customer service is always A1!!

Called about my tire going flat constantly. I was able to get my car in the bay in no time once I got up there, but the wait time was ridiculously long...more than 2hrs. But they fixed my tire, and the guy at the counter was friendly

I wasn t going to leave a review, even though my experience with changing my oil there was horrible (they didn t even have the necessary parts, even though I had an advance appointment and knowing the type/year car that was coming in) but I m now trying to get my tires rotated since the visit here, and they overtightened the lugs so badly that they cannot be removed without fear of breaking them. I m now having to file to contact someone to fix this mess. Horrible all the way around and I ll NEVER be back for sure

Takes over 2.5hrs for a scheduled 50$ oil change. Plus coupon listed on website is the Exact same price as the standard change. 39.99 plus 13% disposal plus 6% tax.

I went in for a vehicle inspection and ended up getting a $1500 bill for necessary repairs on my truck! I was super distraught and the manager Elijah helped me out tremendously. His knowledge about the company and vehicles is amazing. Salute to that guy and the mechanic Tyler. Thank yall so much! Yall need raises ASAP!!

Elijah and the crew took great care of me. I m always nervous about the cost and what s being done because I m a woman and my Jeep is a 2007. Thanks Elijah! Never do reviews but this crew deserves the 5 Star treatment

Don't go there for your tires at all. I noticed that they are taking valuables from people cars and they should be more professional and not rude . Elijah is very rude and unprofessional and really should be retrain on customers service. And working with customers in the future.

ALWAYS AMAZING SERVICE!!! Regardless of whatever city I m in this is the location I got to. The people are amazing. Very helpful. Very knowledgeable. I never feel like I m being cheated or talked down to or disregarded because I m a woman. I always make sure to grab a coffee or tea for them when I come because they ve saved me so many times. Always a great deal on tires and service. They ll let you know if you need something fixed right away or if you have some time to. The waiting area and bathroom is always clean also.

This place performed service on my car that I didn't ask for which made my car unsafe to drive. They were not able to resolve the issue and I had to take my car somewhere else to be repaired.I brought my car in for a state inspection. I received a call about an hour after I dropped it off. I was told the rear brake pads would need to be changed and that he recommended a flush as well. I asked if the brakes were all that the car needed to pass inspection, he said yes, and I agreed to the brakes.He called me four hours later to tell me my car was done. I paid for services without complaint, even though he performed the flush that I didn't want, after I asked for only what was required for the inspection. But when I got in my car to leave, the brake pedal went right to the floor. I went back inside and told them it wasn't right at all. They took it for a quick test drive and then brought it back into the service bay. After they had bled the brakes some more, I test drove the car again and there was still a noticeable dead zone in the brake pedal. I went back in, told them it still wasn't right, and they brought the car back in and bled the brakes some more.After making them take the car back in twice, the car was safe to drive and they were closing, so I left. I could still notice some softness in the pedal, and I could feel and hear the pads not fully releasing which would have caused premature wear of the brand new pads. I ended up taking the car to the dealership. They finished bleeding the brakes, and basically said none of the work was done properly, and all the rubber covers were now missing.I went and spoke to the manager at Tire Choice, bringing the service report and receipt from the dealership with me. I asked for a refund on the flush since it was not performed correctly and I have never asked for it anyway. I explained that I had to pay to have the dealership redo the service, and that if I hadn't, then I wouldn't have been bringing my car to him to have the brakes replaced under warranty after they wore out prematurely. He told me he would submit the request to central management, and to come by in a week. When I returned he told me they would send me a check in the mail for the refund. That was over a month ago and I haven't received anything.

I had a flat and needed a tire plugged and was the first in line at 7:30am well they were open but didn t start work until around 8am . Fast forward an 1 1/2 later before they were finished. $25 for plugging a tire is too much. The guy at the counter was on his phone a lot. My tire pressure sensor light was on and they left all of my tire air pressure caps off. I went back and neither guy could get the reader to read my air pressure on any tire. They put the caps on my tires so I just left Saturday I went to discount tire and they were able to read the pressure on all my tires except one and diagnosed the exact problem in 15 minutes or less. I definitely don t recommend Tire Choice on Monticello

Efficient, professional, hardworking auto shop! Would recommend taking your car here. Performed state inspection, flat repair, and put a new headlight in. Never had any issue or concerns. Great job!

Elijah is a great manager here & I will definitely come back he gave me a great discount on my wheel alignment that I needed it & also I accidentally drop food crumbs on his carpet & he told me I will take of it he was very polite to me!!

While it was easy to take my car to get a flat fixed, the tire pressure light was still on when I was leaving, so I asked the service rep about it. He told me it would go off in 5 minutes but they were in a rush and couldn t drive it around the block. So I drove it for 10-15 minutes and the light didn t go off. I had to take it to a gas station to put more air in the tires and then it finally went off.Not a great sign when they rush your car out and neglect to complete the job.Gave it 2-stars because the folks were really kind but I was not pleased with the incomplete job and making more work for me.

I got the full service oil change with full synthetic from these guys. Two weeks later, my engine in the van locks up. I wasn't informed of leaks or issues of any kind. I find out later that it was over a half dozen issues that I should have been informed about. Rest assured, that this location will definitely leave you in the pitch black wilderness when it comes to what's going wrong with your vehicle.
