I will simply say this if you want to make it home safely don t get any alignment work done here. I was driving home yesterday and my steering felt weird and the car vibrated at minimum interstate speeds. After making it across the HRBT feeling very dissatisfied I took the car to an auto shop. The shop took my wheels off and found this part of both side very loose. My question is how was this not caught before releasing me the vehicle. I rather you keep the vehicle and fix it or quote your findings. I won t be going back here ever again or the place that replaced the rack and pinion named Martins Auto Repair around the corner from this place.

Speedy is a very professional company! If i ever need any repairs to my vehicle, speedy is always my go to! Prices are worth it because they do a great job and and in a timely manner. Thank you speedy for always keeping my car in great shape!

I would not recommend bringing your car here. Jim the owner is nice, but his technicians do not care one bit about good customer service. When he isn't there, they will find any excuse not to actually work on your vehicle, including telling you there's nothing wrong when they haven't even bothered to check. Super untrustworthy.

I've been going to Speedys in Norfolk for several years and even though I live in Virginia Beach and it's a bit out of my way I will continue to go there. # trustworthy #quality #dependable I highly recommend going there for all your auto mechanic needs.

This is the best auto service I ve ever been! Jim and his whole team are very professional and kind, the work is impeccable and honest! Please if you have an issue with your car come here this is the right place! And . Be early! Always lane (which is a great sign) at least at 7:20 so you can grab your spot in!!!

Absolute clown show .Had my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder towed in to replace my alternator. Got a call the next day that my engine was seized and it needed a new engine. As I was waiting to get it towed out of there the technician (If you would call them that) came to the parking lot and said don t waste your time the engine is seized as I looked under the hood. Told me a connecting Rod was broken. Car towed home and I removed belt and spun the engine crank with a 6in long ratchet (aka not seized at all). Found the alternator was not spinning. Replaced alternator myself and car is good as new. Stay away, this is a brutal display of knowledge of engines/cars.

My first time at Speedy Auto Service for a vehicle state inspection left a positive impression. I arrived at 10:30am on a Monday and was informed that due to having only one certified inspector, my car would be ready by 7:30am the following morning. Was pleasantly surprised when I got a call at 3:45 pm the same day saying that my car was ready for pick-up. In addition to the inspection, I opted for a synthetic oil change which was $70. Overall, great customer service and friendly, efficient communication. Would recommend.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Editing: Editing down to 1 star. Three weeks later, no return email or phone call from the manager as indicated in their response below. Their "follow-up" is a marketing ploy to attempt to counteract negative reviews.I brought my car in because the steering wheel was vibrating. My guess was it needed an alignment. They recommended a tire balance, so I agreed. $90. They said I could bring it back if the issue wasn t solved.Car kept shaking, so I brought it back in, again suggesting an alignment. They called me shortly after I dropped it off to say I needed all four tires replaced.I asked how they didn t see that the tires needed to be replaced when they were being balanced just last week. I was told: We don t look at the tires, we just balance them. So, I don t know a lot about cars and I google how tires are balanced Please note that each tire must be removed by hand for the balancing process.I declined their offer of four tires plus an alignment for $600. Took my car to Franky s who - from 10 feet away, told me my tires were dry rotting (yes, I m embarrassed) and quoted me $400. From 6 feet away they were able to tell that the wear was even and no alignment was necessary.I m embarrassed I didn t think better to do more research on my own and so disappointed to have been swindled by this shop! Thankfully it was only $90.I give two stars because Jim is pretty funny.

Excellent place. Great prices and Cory knows his stuff. Got in an out quick. I will be back. Hard to find a good shop nowadays that does not take forever and still gets the job done right.

This Speedy Auto Service has been such a blessing to me through the years! From my 1st experience when I had a dealer's recommendation for tie rod replacement and I took it to this Speedy & they said you don't need that service & it's been 8+ years with no tie rod issues!! LOVE SPEEDY!!!

the absolute BEST automotive one stop shop in the eastern shore. Owner is kind and extremely well versed in everything automotive from your common car to your most highend vehicle. One thing about this place that I felt quite fond of and made me feel at ease is that this establishment cares for your vehicle s health as if it s their own. Will forever bring my cars here for the REST of my life big shout out to Mr.Cory Cale, your craftsmanship and attention to detail is impeccable and never to be forgotten.ABSOLUTE BEST automotive one stop shop in Virginia

Been going to them for years. Jim is always helpful at the front desk and Cory works on all my cars. From my truck to my daily driver and even trust him and his advise on my drag car. I went to have my car inspected and was told it might be four hours, I opted to wait since I didn't have anything else to do. It actually was two hours instead of four. Everyone was very nice. I definitely will return for future repairs since I have parted ways with my former mechanic.

I had a tire that was slowly losing air pressure. Then the last 3 days was nearly flat each morning. I haven't needed service like this before and was not sure where to go. But I went in early, was serviced promptly for a reasonable fee, and was on my way in a half hour. Cory and his staff were pleasant to deal with. I will be back again if needed.Service: Tires

They were super helpful! We were on our way from the Outer Banks during hurricane Ian and our car got stuck in water. The spark plugs and air filter were wet and the car would not start. They were able to get us in at the last minute, diagnose the issue and had it fixed that evening. We are very thankful they were able to help us as quickly as they did and get us on our way home back to Pittsburgh. The cost was super reasonable as well. Needed an alignment and needed some adjustments done on my suspension on my 2017 camaro ss. Cory did an amazing job getting me in. Customer service is 10/10. Highly recommended.

Worse place in the city to get an inspection for your car. They failed my truck for stuff that wasn't even wrong with it. Told me if I wanted to I could call the state police about it. So I did. After the state police looked at my vehicle out of the 17 items it failed for there were only 4 things that needed to pass inspection. They said it needed steering repairs and frame repairs. None of these were needed. Do not trust this place. My truck failed for a headlight mounting clip and a few other fairly simple things. I highly recommend staying as far away from this place as possible.

Garbage service. Sensitive feminine men working there cant even make a steering wheel straight and want to blame it on my car s aftermarket suspension when it has been perfect in the past with the same suspension they said was the reason my wheel isn t straight. Got offered a refund right away instead of accommodating me for my time and money as a customer and fixing my issue. 0 starsService: Wheel alignment

While customer service was good, they tend to wait to give an estimated price and when they do its vastly greater than what is expected. Had an diagnostic ran on my engine and it was 125. Do not take your care here especially if you're a single woman. They will dismiss you entirely, not listen to a word you say and then do whatever they want. I took my car in because the car was running rough and the OIL light was flashing when I drive the car. After recently having to replace the head gasket on the car I wanted to be proactive about any potential issues. Asked for someone to check my oil system and the technician who performed the check didn't even know he was supposed to be checking my oil. When I went to pick my car up I received a lecture about how its just a tire pressure sensor. Wrong light. That's not the light I brought my car in for. Low and behold the technician who checked my car out DIDN'T EVEN POP MY HOOD or CHECK MY OIL at all. Basically, the original tech didn't listen when I said what I was concerned about, they just heard "theres a light on."....Then when I tried to explain my issue the technician grew frustrated and repeatedly said "I CAN'T DIAGNOSE A LIGHT THAT'S NOT ON MAM." Meanwhile, you didn't TRY to diagnose anything. Keep in mind I explained all of this to the intake technician ahead of time. It's very clear it went in one ear and out the other and no one cared what my actual issue was. How do I bring my car in for an oil light and you don't even CHECK MY OIL?Service: General repairs & maintenance

The new management here is fantastic. I had a brake light go out the day before a long road trip, and Jim provided excellent customer service, good repairs, a good price - and they definitely live up to their name! I really recommend making an appointment - they honor them, and yours becomes the next in line ahead of any walk-ins. I'll definitely be taking my vehicle here again.

I pulled up to just ask for a little air in my tire but they went the extra mile to locate a nail that was in my tire and quickly repaired it in three minutes complementary! I am so amazed at how kind and efficient they were! Quality service, and goes above and beyond! Will definitely be returning for further car needs!

I stopped by today to ask them about an issue with water leaking from the dash onto the passenger side floors- not expecting anything but to get an appointment for later in the week. They were honest and treated me like family- a wee bit funny too! I like that in an auto shop- they talked through my issue with me, answered my questions ,and told me exactly what they were going to do. They went out of their way to help me out and I most certainly will be going back!

I took my car to speedy a few months back for inspection. I had specifically asked them to change positive clamp on battery. A couple weeks after getting car back and spending almost 1600 dollars I would be driving down the road and my car would shut down. So I call up there take my car back and come to find out they didn't even replace the clamp so when I went back they act like they're doing something for me and put a new one on which was suppose to have already been done. I was charged for it. So after they put that on I was still having the same issue. I take it to advance auto to have battery and alternator checked. And low and behold the clamp the had put on there was broke in half. I was lucky I wasn't killed cause I would be driving 55 meph and my car would shut down. No lights no Hazard. Nothing. So be careful

I've been going to Speedy in Norfolk for years, they have always been customer oriented, trustworthy, and friendly. Jim does a professional job managing customers and making sure everyone is taken care of, have never been disappointed and will continue to seek them out first, highly recommended.
