I recently had my car repaired at Martin's Auto Shop, and while there were positives, my overall experience fell short of expectations.The body work was decent, restoring the car's appearance, but communication and delays were major issues. The estimated two-week repair turned into over a month and a half, with unanswered messages and empty promises.The paint job had flaws with an orange peel effect and white powder residue inside the car. Neglected areas included door handles, fenders, rear bumper, and mirrors. Attention to detail was lacking, and overspray on plastic parts was evident.Martin failed to install the exhaust system as agreed and even tried to charge an extra $500. The loss of screws and brackets highlighted disorganization.The presence of empty alcohol bottles and staff smoking raised professionalism concerns.In conclusion, while the body work had positives, the overall experience was disappointing. Delays, subpar paint job, neglected areas, and professionalism issues warrant caution when choosing Martin's Auto Shop.Make an informed decision and manage expectations accordingly.Thank you for reading my review.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

10/10 amazing experience!! My check engine light came on and I went to schedule a service with the Chevy dealership and they were charging $189 for just a diagnostic test the team at this auto repair shop told me exactly what was wrong for $25 and gave me amazing advice to avoid having this issue again!

We were just north of Norfolk, with our brakes started making noise. Martin took us right in, PJ put on new front brake pads and rotated the tires. Had us in and out under 2 hours. $200! Very reasonable since we own a 2007 Ram 2500 diesel truck! Highly recommend!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

After years of service I can say that this is the place you want to go whenever your car takes a dive or needs a tuneup. The owner works with you to ensure your vehicle gets the love it needs whether it s paint, mechanical or even just a good old clean up. Not to mention the workers are hilarious and will keep you entertained in the process. This place needs its own television series.Services: Transmission, Tires, Painting, Auto engine diagnostic, Body & Trim, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

I m not from Virginia I don t know many people here so it was nice to finally find an honest mechanic that s not trying to rip you off. Very honest shop they give you a reasonable price for your auto repair needs. Very helpful. I recommend anyone looking to get their car fixed to go there. I already recommended a few friends & they had the same great experience with this shop.

My car stalled twice I was 5 minutes away and they stayed open for me. They do phenomenal painting and they fixed my broken radiator overnight. Excellent service. Martin is very honest and the guys that work there do a great job. It's a little hard to park but they will make it their business to take care of you. I've been seeing Martin for 15 years. I recommend them to everyone I needed a new Cadillac converter my radiator busted and a host of other things.Services: Painting, Auto engine diagnostic

Willy is the MAN! I'm grateful for him, PJ, Manny and Mike! Without them my big beast would be stuck in my driveway, great service even greater pricing! Saved me $3k compared to Firestone. This auto shop is the worst. My car sat for a week, no one even looked at it. The brother, came out with a jumping machine!!! There was nothing wrong with my battery. I called 2 times after and was told, I am going to look at it. I called a day prior to wanting to pick it up. Same response, now on the day it was supposed to ready, it wasn t. I will never do business with this shop again and I wouldn t recommend anyone take in their car!! So unsatisfied!!!

My A/C wouldn t start at all but would randomly turn on. I m not originally from here so I decided to look around for some decent offered but everywhere I went they wanted 150-300$ just to look at it. By accident I stumbled across this shop headed home decided to stop and ask what their price would be to look at my car. Within 20 mins or less they found that a wire was loose under the dash and didn t charge a dime for it. This place is the only mechanic shop in Virginia I will go to because they are honest and not a money hungry business.

This place is honest and did a great job replacing my bumper cover and matching the paint, along with fixing some paint issues I had on other parts of the car. Great work for a great price!

My dad brought in his SUV for a paint job, he was told the car would be ready within the same week. When he called for 3 days straight, no one would call him back or answer the phone. Finally I took him to pick it up and when my dad asked about his car the owner started yelling and shouting at him saying Look man don t come in here rushing me, I said I d call you when it s ready. Amongst other unprofessional words and demeanor. It was very embarrassing, rude, and unprofessional. This place needs a lot of customer service training.

Customer service is awful. My sister left her vehicle with Mr. WILLIE for a week and explained thatbshe wouldnt be able to pick up or pay for her repairs until the 16th. He said ok no problem we will take care of it. She called Mr. WILLE on the 13th to remind him that she would be in three days later to get her car and he said ok, he was going to get someone right on it. Well fast forward to the 16th and Mr. WILLIE says that no one has looked at the car and his mechanic was out sick. Frustrated, I took my sister to pick up her car to take somewhere else and when she arrived Mr. WILLIE was not in but was told by another guy I dont know what keys are yours look on the wall. Trying to support black businesses as a whole is something we believe in but when you are treated like this by said business, it makes you question should you continue to support.

I needed my ac compressor replaced. After calling around, I call this shop. Not only was the price awesome, but the service was fast, efficient and friendly. I will definitely bring my car here for future repairs.

The people up there are great ,they tell u what wrong and what needs to be done about and then they do what needs to be done for low price. Mr. Martin and his crew are the best.

They came through for me twice. Highly recommend them. They did body work for me the first time. I needed a piece changed, and I had called before going in witha set price in mind. Once they started working on it they said that the part that they needed was going to be more expensive bc of an extra part in it. I said fine. On check out they tell me it will be 100$ more than they had originally said (besides the part). Im pretty sure they put the part wrong too, bc it started making sounds after. I decided to go a different mechabic. They totally ripped me off. I don't want to call it out but I think it was bc I am a girl.

The worse body shop ever!!!! Could not align my door evenly, paint job is cheap!!! The alignment they supposely done has caused my wheel bearings to go bad!!!! Not pleased at all..

I got into an accident in Friday the 13th and they fixed my vehicle looking brand new. I recommend this if anyone is looking to get their vehicle fixed and they provide a reasonable price

Awesome staff...Bottom line is they did what they said they were going to do...and guaranteed it !
