Just dropping a 5 star review to offset all the people leaving 1 star reviews because they don't like the TV show. FYI the TV show is entertainment and dramatic and not in anyway the reality of the shop.

Very cool, we drove awhile with hopes to actually meet dan but we caught a glimpse of him, talked with ( I think) his wife who was very nice. We understand the no tours policy & respect their space. Bought some tshirts

Wow Dan sorry you got so many bad reviews;). I really like the show. Your show is for the 99 percent not the 1 percent like some of the other car shows on the network. I own a little plumbing business and watching you do business has helped me keep my stress levels down;) I ve learned you can t make everyone happy and customer satisfaction is important but more important is having a profitable business or you don t have a business. Keep up the good work!

I have a classic car that I just wanted to have restored and the person who answered the phone was just awful and rude. I know my car is a 1996 and they only do l970 and below but that's not listed in their website. I guess if you're not good enough to be on TV you're not good enough for them to work on your car. Even if you can pay.

I have been watching the reruns for years because they no longer film the show Fantomworks. After visiting here I think I understand why because they may know how to restore cars but they lack people skills and personality. However this was on my bucket list so I'm glad I got a t-shirt and a license plate and a few pictures to remember them by because I don't think I will be coming back. I can't imagine spending tens of thousands of dollars on a complete restoration to be treated in such a disrespectful manner.

I wish I had the resources to bring my vehicle to this shop. My 1989 Dodge Dynasty has been my means to life for me & my son, it would be an honor to have these artists do a refresh.Cool is the rule, chill is the drill

Why does he have to use foul language and have such a bad attitude All the timeIt's so unprofessional, and makes him look like a complaining little jerk !It's not like he's some kind of tough guy.I mute half the show when he starts up with his pottymouth !He's the only guy, out of all the car shows that acts this way !

I would never take my car to them. The way they talk in TV is just stupid. I am watching am episode of them building a 67 chevelle, and shaping a big block in place of a small block. Dan makes the comment that the car was never designed for a 427 big block. But, as a matter of fact, the car came from the factory with 396 big block, which is the same size block. I don't know if they use things like this to charge more, but they need to use some plain common sense when talking, because t makes them sound completely stupid!

I plan on visiting the shop, check out some of their work, and discussing the restoration of my 1934 Plymouth PE coupe.Maybe Mr. Short could offer some cheese for all the disgruntled who post the negative comments on here. They could have a nice "Whine and cheese" party.

Had a great time meeting Dan. Very friendly and appreciative of his fans. He took time to talk with everyone and answered questions. Definitely going to miss the show.

You are required to fill out an online questionaire and never speak to anyone regaurding your vehicle. The questionaire is built for a car mechanic that actually knows the values of the work requested. I am a business man and do not know. I didn't have a budget to do work on my 71 Bronco and wanted some interaction to determine the extent of what I would do. They simply sent the following email back to me..."Thank you for contacting FantomWorks. I appreciate you reaching out to me but I'm going to pass on your project. Thank you again for considering us.Sincerely,-The FantomWorks Team"I am actually in an adjacent city to their shop and could have driven over to discuss any and all options but they discarded me without knowing any specifics. These guys are a TV show, not a real shop. Thumbs down.

I got the chance to work there for Dan and it was a great experience. I'll always think the world of Dan and the family I felt I got to be a part of. He's a good man and runs a tight ship. Definitely one of the highlights of my life.

This guy is a joke!!! The way he talks to people is a disgrace. I would let my car rot in the backyard before I took it to him... You really need to think about canceling the show... I would not let him fix my lawn mower

As I live in Australia, me and my brother always watch your show on satellite TV (Foxtel) here! We both love the amazing work you and your team do and the love you have for cars! We always say to ourselves, "If we ever win big in lotto or something, we'll fly to the US, travel Route 66 and search for the perfect car and then bring it to you to restore, before we have it transported back to Australia for us to retrieve!" We even say to ourselves, "Wouldn't it be good if we took over a Holden Torana A9X for Dan to do? I bet he's never seen something like that before!" It's something that we'd just love to do.......but not having the money....just sucks!

I have never been there. But I watch his show whenever it comes on even if I have already seen the episode. My favorite thing about this show is Dan's honesty. He will never beat around the bush with u. He will tell u straight up. I think the phrase Dan the man comes from him if I ever have a vehicle that I want restored back to original I would definitely call Dan the man.

I have been a fan for years and I was a professional collision technician for 50 years. What I like about Dan and his show is he is 100 percent with his statements. If he thinks you have a peace of junk that isn t worth the money you are going to spend he will tell you and hope you can accept. He brings you into his world of automotive as it is in real life, or as close as he can. I have dealt with suppliers that will tell you they have just what you need then send you a peace of dog do.He seems to work with a full checking account the way he spends it, but that s the way it is sometimes when you want your customers to be happy with what they get.What I would really like to know is what does the shop charge per hr on those repairs? I have been retired since 08 and have no idea what the rates are up to.A fan for life, what s left of it, William Hastreiter, San Bernardino Ca

My experience with FantomWorks was excellent. The staff were as professional as they were talented. I love how my car was transformed from the Frankenstein monster to a jewel box! Dan and his crew went above and beyond to leave no detail unfinished so the car would be brought back to its original condition. From research to engine they made ever effort to give me what I wanted.If you value perfection and integrity, FantomWorks is your place.

We stopped by for tour information and was lucky enough to be able to actually go on a tour. Couldn't believe how knowledgeable Conner was! Then to actually meet Mr. Dan SHORT, himself!!! Wow is all I can say still. He is such a down to earth REAL PERSON! We got to talk to him, get pictures, and autographs as well! I even shivered when he put his arm around me. Lol Mrs. SHORT was there as well. She was so nice in talking with us as and taking pictures and doing autographs as well. This memory will last our family a lifetime!

It's like the soap opera of Motor Trend... I'm sure they do excellent work but why all the drama? I think maybe Dan's just a very bad actor and unnatural on TV. I switch the channel whenever it comes on; it's that annoying.

I luv this show it's hilarious to watch I don't know if the customers are real or not but if they are then it seems you have to be a complete idiot to be featured on the show makes for good entertainment though
