Had transmission installed less than a year ago quoted $3400...final pay was $5600 took car back because I had a link that I did not have prior... only to be told my plastic coolant needed changing inwhich they did not know it was brand new I had installed 6mos. Prior....finally a hose broke while driving I had hauled in for repair next day...beware of investors!

Wouldn't recommend this place I went in for a code p0355 crankshaft position sensor code. Trouble shot it at home using a multimeter, but they had to do their own inspection which is fair. during the free inspection they tell me I have problems with my brakes caliper and thermostat is kicking a code p0128. They tell me that I have a leak in my coolant system and that my brakes are grooved and I'm leaking brake fluid. This troubleshooting part alone costed me $230 for what they say takes 2 hours in reality it took me 20min at home keep in mind what I was getting diagnosed was the p0355 and p0128. now usually when you go to a shop the diagnosis fee is put towards the repair cost this is not the case here. So, they initially quoted me about 1800 over their phone just for the p0355 and p0128 fix. Luckly, I know how to work on my own car I'm only there for the p0355 because I don't have the tool to calibrate the engine after replacing that sensor. They quote me about $850 for this $578 for parts $464 for labor $49 for shop supplies and $230 for the diagnostic, for a total of around $1,123 after all is said and done. The parts if I had gotten them from nearby would have come out to about 250 to 300 to have them that same day. The whole fix diagnosis and all takes about 1 manhour at most at their rate of about $115per/hr the average price for this fix should be more around $415 to $500 at most. In short, they are very overpriced and inflate man hours at the expense of the customer the customer. They are very quick and good about responsiveness on the phone and on updates regarding repairs.

I rarely take my car in to a mechanic shop for repair but I was at my whits end dealing with an electrical issue, so I limped my car to the closest aamco. I was under the impression that fixing a customers car was rewarding enough. No, instead the sales guy wants to make as much commission off of selling parts and repairs that they'd prefer to do unnecessary repairs to have you pay as much as possible. How does a sales guy, who doesn't care at all about what's wrong with your car, stop me in the middle of explaining my vehicle issues to say he's not a tech but is the same person to tell me what repairs I need done. They wanted to rebuild my transmission just to replace an electrical component of the transmission. Never had any mechanical issues with my transmission but now it needs to be rebuilt for 4,000 dollars. Engine code is a U code for the vehicles communication between onboard computers not a P code for power train issues. I'll never go to another aamco because the employees only care about filling their pockets with commission. A 1 dollar to 1000 dollar fix turned into 4 to 5 thousand dollar fix. They had no problem just jumping in my car, that needed a rebuilt transmission, starting it and drove it around the building when I showed up to get it towed back home. Mom and pop shops from now on, no commission for the employees like aamco and dealerships.

My car had water damage due to flooding. The original shop I had the car looked at could not complete the work. I was running out of time on my covered rental and had trouble finding shops on short notice. Lee and the team at AAMCO were both friendly and quick with their assistance. I have never experience a car repair shop that leads with empathy! They took care of the communication between the insurance and them and I was able to get my car back quickly. Only called to find out an estimated cost of service I wanted for my car. I couldn't get a straight answer for a price, only "We will know once the technician gives his recommendation" I asked again, "how much for a flush of my C7 Base Stingray A8 transmission, with the newest oil and new filters?" The answer was," once the technician give his recommendation. So I have to end my review with, you lost my business. I don't care what your tech thinks, I know what I wanted, a trans flush, newest updated oil, and filters. What ever happened to customer satisfaction and sometime the customer is right.

I must say I ve been to this place of business for a long time. Great customer service is always shown. Lee is amazing he helped me through a hardship with getting things established and done when it came down to getting my car fixed. I had a power steering issue come up right before I had a big trip to Hatteras planned and Lee and the rest of the crew down here got my 4runner fixed quick enough I didn t have to cancel my trip. I found a small leak on what the worked in previous and they fixed it for me the day I found it. I took my 2013 focus in with a total clutch failure and a set of bad wheel bearings, and the folks at this AAMCO shop were able to get new parts in, replaced and get my computer re-programed within a day and a half. Lee at the front desk was an excellent resource in explaining what needed to get done, and they got it all done significantly cheaper than the dealership. Not a bad place to get your transmission looked at. To start, I called a few days before and was given an appointment for my transmission fluid to be replaced and filter exchanged (no issues just maintenance). The price was the best I could find and I called about 4 other shops for the same work.I took time off of work and headed over expecting the work to be completed in the time quoted (1.5 hrs). To my understanding, my appointment was to get my car actually serviced...Unfortunately, the shop does not have a waiting room, so I wandered the main street while I waited about an hour and a half.*Side note: I would greatly recommend having someone pick you up if you are being serviced. There is really nowhere to go in the area to burn time. The street doesn't have sidewalks and the area is not developed for pedestrians. Unless you want to walk the lone car dealership and a couple used tire spots, you are out of luck. I ended up sitting on a toolbox outside the AAMCO parking lot.*After an hour and a half, I was politely ushered in to the shop by one of the techs to show me a very slowly leaking seal on my transmission. I really appreciate that the tech showed me the issue and explained it a bit. I was then quoted for the leak repair and the initial service I requested, but was told it was too late in the day to complete even my filter swap that I initially requested... You may think that they were forced to delay my work due to the discovered leak, but that is not the case. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and my vehicle sat outside the shop for about an hour before the inspection even started. Sadly, it is clear that my appointment was not intended to get any servicing. I wish that I was told I was only getting an inspection before I took time off of work to take my vehicle in. I understand the need for inspection, but it is frustrating that my time is not valuable to their business. I was told that I could not make a future appointment, as they do not have the scheduling ability to do that. I would have to call the day before and see if they could take it.I walked away with a very reasonable quote for the work (which I do appreciate). The staff was friendly, but the organization of the business seems to show that the customer's time is not being considered. The staff was kind and I feel confident my vehicle would be properly serviced at this location, my only question is...when...? In what time frame? Unfortunately, am not sure the staff can answer that question either...When I have a lull in life and can plan to be without a car for a day or two, I will likely bring it to them based on pricing alone.

Most people think of AAMCO as a transmission shop, these guys are so much more. They are full service and do a great job. They have keep my 03 chevy running like it's new. If they ever start doing alignments and inspections I'll never have to go to another shop!!!! Brought my mom's car in on Tuesday mid-morning because it would only rev when you tried to shift gears. Lee was great in communicating everything found in their inspection and what we needed to have done. They did great work and got the car back to us even earlier than originally planned. Would definitely recommend them!

Good morning, they charge me 3600 dollars for the work to repair the transmission, it is a commercial vehicle, two months later I returned to the place because the transmission was giving me problems, 3 months later I returned to the place again because of the transmission, they repaired the transmission and On the paper they put it as spark plug problems, the spark plugs have nothing to do with the transmission, before taking it to them I went to another shop to replace the spark plugs and the other shop sent me to repair the transmission first, it broke for the third time time and now they don't fix it because it says it's past in miles. This is ridiculous, when you do a good job you don't have to go to the workshop so much for breakages. The chairs blocking the entrance, one customer at a time and the one waiting will do so outside in the sun. Money no longer has value. I definitely do not recommend them.Service: Transmission

Great crew here. My go to shop for everything within their wheelhouse. Chris is a highly decorated tech and Lee is a fair and honest manager. My car blew up on the freeway and I got it back the same day! Would recommend to anyone.

I noticed my engine was revving upon low gear acceleration and figured my transmission needed to be worked on. After their inspection a possible oil leak was discovered and was ultimately changed and a dye was added to determine the leak. I have to bring back for them to determine and locate the leak. Also, transmission fluid was flushed as it was old. I felt their concern for my car was genuine and I was impressed by their thoroughness.Services: Transmission, Oil change

Lee was great! He is the main point of contact when working with the company and he does an excellent job of explaining all steps of the company's processes, what is wrong with your car, and what specific repairs need to be made. I was even shown all the parts that were replaced and was shown why those parts were faulty. I never felt like I was being talked down to or was viewed as incompetent - it was very respectful and full of so much kindness! In addition, AAMCO didn't try to fix any other issues on my car except what I came in for which was great! I had gone to a different mechanic prior who had a huge list of things to fix that weren't related to the issue I had asked about, so I felt like AAMCO was treating me fairly and with respect.Service: Transmission

We will always choose Aamco and Lee to work on our cars. My car needed an A/C check and valve replacement and my husband needed his breaks/rotors redone. As always he had our cars back to us in just a day or two. The cost was reasonable for the work done. It to Lee and his crew less than 3 days to fix what Priority Hyundai couldn t do in a week. I had consistent communication and a diagnostic done in a timely manner. No surprise charges and very professional personnel. Couldn t have asked for a better experience. I will be bringing my car back here in the future. Why go to the dealership and wait forever?? I appreciate the service I received at AAMCO and will recommend to anyone who needs vehicle maintenance.

I was referred to AAMCO by AAA, after looking at a few reviews I figured I d go with this location because they seemed to have great reviews and Lee was awesome at explaining the initial process. It was towed to them for a no start issue, I now have my vehicle back running better then it was before the issue started. Very pleased with the work and Lee is fantastic!

Great customer service and I couldn't be happier with the quality of work they did on my car. Lee was on point! He contacted immediately if there was any concerns and he explained in detail the work that needed to be perform to get my baby back on the road. They have a great Team and they stand behind their promise.They get it right the FIRST time. If you need any work properly done I wouldn't recommend any other shop.AAMCO is Amazing!!!
