What a great experience. Professional and top-notch service. I was looking to have my 2021 tundra lifted along with new tires. Mike Little and his crew know exactly what they are doing. Couldn t be happier.

Tire city is a great family owned business. The little's give the best customer experience they possibly can. The customer service is worth it alone. These folks go above and beyond to help folks as best they can. They get/give some of the best prices around. Tire city's tech crew are fast, accurate, polite, and very professional. They offer more than just tire service here. It really great business that the city of Newport News has been blessed to have.

Long day in Williamsburg conference. Had a flat brought it in after 5:15 they were able repair and had me on the road. I had planned to get an Uber and pick up next day. They took care of me asap! Great prices on tires as well.

I get all of my work done at Tire City. Mike and his team are the most reliable group of people of any shop I've been to. They always get me in and out quickly. I'd give more stars if I could. SEND EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO TIRE CITY!!!!!! They are an authorized Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Cooper, Hankook, and Nexen Tire dealer too. One of the few shops in the area to carry that kind of tire selection.

I called needing 4 new tires for my 4Runner, they got them in the following day and once I got up there they got them mounted and balanced in under an hour while I waited! The price was less than the majority of the quotes I got!

They are the worst when I come to state inspections. I was told there was one vehicle in front of me and I waited three hours before my vehicle was taken in the back. I had to get tires and go back for reinspection, so the first time I went back they said they were to busy so I went back again and was told it would be one hour and two hours later they took five minutes to reinspect. The wait time is ridiculous

I went to Tire City on a Thurs. afternoon for a state inspection. They stated they d be able to take it the following morning and have it done by the time I got off work Friday. They called me at work and left a voicemail Friday asking me to call back. I called back and was told that I d need all 4 tires replaced in order to pass inspection. I agreed and was assured it would still be complete by end of day. I received another call right before I left work saying there was a miscommunication and the tires would need to be ordered and wouldn t be there until the following day (Saturday). It seemed like every person I spoke to (and there were many) had a different story as to what was going on with my car. I ended up having to borrow a co-workers car to go home for the weekend. I received NO UPDATE, so I called Saturday an hour before close and the line rang through with no answer. Closed Sunday. Monday rolls around and I call early afternoon, only to be told that they still don t have the tires because they weren t aware that it would take 2 business days for the tires to get there and weekends don t count. Nobody called me to tell me this, I had to call and sit on hold for several minutes at work (I m a teacher!) while everyone figured out what was going on. I don t understand how a tire company doesn t know the standard wait time for tires to be ordered and why nobody communicated this with me without me having to inquire first. I was assured it d be finished with a different type of tire by the time I got off work that day (Monday). I came after work Monday (had to be dropped off by co-worker), my old tires were STILL sitting on my car, and upon arrival I was told to wait another 45 minutes because the new tires just arrived and they need to put them on. The lack of communication was truly astounding and you d think with all the auto shop competition in the area, a business with a name like Tire City would have a clue about what s happening with the tire ordering process. When I showed up Monday, Mike even asked me for my keys ( which they d had since Friday morning), then spent 5 minutes rummaging around looking for them. I was severely inconvenienced and felt dismissed when I questioned what was happening and why. I understand that mistakes happen but the lack of communication has made me not want to return.

Ordered my tires Wednesday, and they were in next day. I called Friday morning to see if they thought they could get me in quickly. They did, and they did the job well. This is how it s done. Thank you. I will bring my other vehicles in when they need new shoes.

Has been the primary tire store for 3 generations. Good people. Usually a few dollars more but they clearly care about repeat business. Given a few days they can get almost any tire.

What an awesome experience, I had lots of questions . I wanted the largest tire possible for my pick up truck. Mike and his team was awesome. Mike ordered me 2 sets of tires and installed them and let me pick what ones I liked the most . So in short I got 4 new tires and an inspection , I'm probably not the easiest customer to satisfy but at one point I had 4 team members answering every question I had . In closing , I was very impressed to see an 18 year old doing inspections and young Mikey working with his dad and learning the business . I will never purchase another tire from anywhere except Tire City !!!!!

Excellent service and value! The reason the parking lot and customers lounge is packed (and the tire store next door is empty) is because of the great service and value it is dealing with Mike and his staff.I drive from Norfolk to have nitrogen put in my vehicles, camper, boat and other trailers tires, and trust their work on my vehicles is because they do it right the first time! Thanks Mike for all the years of great service! In response to place is packed and had to wait 4 hours .Coming in at a time where they re very busy (which is almost always) or pour planning on your part doesn t make it their fault or deserve 1 star!

I visited Tire City to get a heavy truck tire for my work van and actually beat the price of the local competition by about $50 I did this in one day on a Saturday they were very very helpful I was able to drop the car off and come back and pick it up 2 hours later this is a great place to go it's right on the corner of Jefferson and J Clyde Morris Boulevard and behind the pharmacy drug store there that works the sales counter who is either his father or Grandad's relative is the owner and he is very very very professional polite and helpful. Unfortunately I cannot remember his name at this time. I highly recommend this business for tires especially for your commercial Fleet

Wonderful experience! The customer care and service are great. We needed a front end alignment on our sons car. Friends recommended Tire city. The gentleman at the counter was professional and friendly. He explained that there were other customers in front of me. That s just how it works in a first come, first served situation. After a short wait our car was driven up to the front door and ready to go. Check out was fast and easy. The car handles great! Thank you Tire city staff, your professionalism and quality work are appreciated .

Waited three hours for a tire repair. The next morning repaired tire was flat. Pumped it up, drove back to the location. The owner was extremely rude. Said it would be another four hour wait (place was packed). Since I had already waited my turn the first day, I felt we should have been serviced quick. Asked the owner for that consideration, he basically said tuff luck! I asked if he would refund the price paid so that I could go elsewhere. Was told they didn t do that. So a seven hour wait to fix a flat tire twice. For the record, there was a nail removed that they missed the first time. Never even received an apology for this terrible customer service. Will not set foot in this business again!

They replaced my bf tire last minute, great service and staff. The place next door was HORRIBLE which is what led me to come to them!! I will be getting my brakes and lights fixed as well.

The short story is Mike and family at Newport News Tire City just solved a whole lot of issues/problems for us all at once while still charging us a very fair price. In fact, Mike provided sound, professional advice to help us save money. As a senior citizen, this kind of help is rare, but greatly appreciated. If you prefer to do business with an honest, hard working family that Really knows their business, this is the right place.

I admit that I was a bit hesitant to bring my car in for tire service after reading the last reviews but a friend had recommended them. They were great! Not only were they able to help but my bill was much lower than expected and I got my state inspection done at the same time. This team has years of experience and I would trust them to work on any of my vehicles. The walks in the lobby are filled with local history - that was an unexpected treat. Honest and dependable, not something you find everywhere anymore. Thanks!

This was the worst experience by far from a business I've ever dealt with. I took my 06 Lexus GS300 in to service a tire sensor light that I couldn't get to go out even though all of my tires had good air pressure. They first tried to get me to buy all 4 sensors but since I'm selling the vehicle I only wanted the bad sensor causing the issue replaced. It took them all day to finally get the sensor light out and from what I was told they had to purchase Lexus sensors instead of using their rewritable one. I ended up purchasing two sensors. I thought the issue was resolved only to wake up in the morning to find my tire flat and the sensor light didn't come on not to mention they left my trunk in shambles checking the spare tire for a sensor which it did not have. So they again was indicating that I may have needed to replace the other two so to keep them honest I said okay let's do it. I dropped my vehicle back off they again had it all day didn't call me didn't keep me updated so I finally called about 30 minutes before it was time for business to close to their reply you can come and get your vehicle. So I get up there still didn't have my light out and they said they couldn't fix the issue. Mind you I have already paid them for the first two sensors to be done including labor. They didn't charge me for this second visit but my issue still wasn't resolved. So I took my vehicle up to the dealership who indicated that the sensors were programmed incorrectly so they corrected the issue and my vehicle is fine now so I took the receipt up from their findings to inform that the sensors were program incorrectly and requested a refund for their labor. The owner which is the old guy that's up at the counter was refusing to give me my refund and wanted me to call his distributor of his parts to my reply why do I need to call them. He indicated that they're the ones that did the coding oh the sensors and to speak with them in reference to what needed to be done. To my reply I said I don't need to speak with them I just need my refund for the labor that was done incorrectly. He still suggested that I call so I did and in speaking with his distributor they indicated that they don't do the coding and it's done by the business. So after going back and forth with the owner arguing with me I am formed that I was contacting the Better Business Bureau then I finally got my refund. Needless to say I would never ever go to this establishment nor recommend anyone to that establishment. I guess the only time you get good service is if you're buying tires there from looking at the review history.

I haven't yet had new tires or other work done here, but I have visited twice for tire repairs since moving to Newport News. I was in and out with the fixed tire on my vehicle in less than 25 minutes for $26. I would have been happy to drop off the tire and pick it up at the end of the day or the next day. Pat fetched the tire and immediately went to work on it! I will definitely give them my business when it comes time for new tires.

I d give zero if I could. I went in on a Saturday and talked to an older gentleman, they were a bit busy and had to order the tires I needed. Which was understandable but it was confirmed my vehicle would be ready Wednesday. Well here it is Thursday and I haven t even received a call. I suggest going to a different location unless you can go careless longer than expected.
