If you want to keep your wheels looking nice, DON'T GO HERE!I rarely post reviews and very rarely negative reviews. Unfortunately this place DAMAGED the wheels on my Ford Explorer ST and didn't want to own up to it. These wheels have never been curbed or scratched and this is the first time I have had to change the tires on this vehicle. The damage I noticed after the tire change is clearly consistent with what a tire changing machine would cause or if someone was struggling taking off the tire from the wheel.After complaining I was told "its probably just the protectant we use to protect the rim". Then I was told "if the damage is only on the front two wheels then it definitely wasn't us". Then they said "oh ya the technician noted damage on the front two wheels in pre-inspection." While I only noticed damage on the front wheels when I picked up the vehicle (because it was so obvious), after further inspection all wheels were damaged.In the pictures it's difficult to see the thin white scrape line that their machine cause on the edge of the rims, but you can clearly see where they chipped off some of the clear coat. Also, they did a horrible job of removing the weights on one of the wheels leaving lots of residue.Hating myself for not taking pictures before the service was done.

This was one of the most dishonest experiences I've even had at a mechanic. Brought my car here for an oil change and bulb replacement. During drop off I explained that I wanted the conventional oil for $39.99. I provided the new headlight bulb and needed it installed. They understood.At pick up they didn't show me the bill but told me my total was $600+. I told them that was incorrect. They call the mechanic over and change something on the bill, then tell me the new total is $250+. I explain that the bill should be for a $39.99 oil change and the bulb replacement. They try to tell me that my car needs a high quality synthetic oil. I tell them that's not true, I've gotten conventional oil for years at Firestone. They backpedal and agree and have to correct the bill (again).Then they tell me the cost for the bulb was $30. I explain that I provided the bulb so I should have only been charged for the labor. They apologize and said that wasn't communicated to them so they correct the bill (again).After all this runaround I finally get the bill and it's not until I am driving away that I see they ALSO charged me $49.99 for a brake inspection that I DIDN'T ASK FOR and wasn't mentioned once when we were talking about the bill.This felt like the most classic example of dishonest mechanics trying to take advantage of a customer. Wouldn't recommend.

Oh my God! I brought my car here at 2 pm as I found my tire flat. The older woman said they would call when done but it will be hours. I called to find status but found they closed at 6pm, but no call received. I rushed to the store and it is locked up. My car is still sitting in the lot and this is what I find. The 1-800 number is of course also closed.

I was an early walk in. Associate at counter promptly looked up my account after I told him what my concerns with my vehicle were. He gave me options to address the issues and I was super pleased with the outcome. Work was done fast and professionally. Very happy. I m a long time customer and will keep coming back

I had a popped tire which threatened to ruin my day and my plans. However, Tire Choice did a very quick turnaround and had my car back to me in about an hour. Evening plans saved! I thought the price for the tire and labor was reasonable as well and the staff there were friendly. Very happy with the experience!

I have never been to this place and when I first went in it seemed to be just a whatever place. I made an appointment and they where quick and fast. Resolved my tire questions and fixed my issues with no problem.

Took my 22 f150 in for an alignment. All 4 of my wheels were damaged. Scratched and chunks taken out of the wheels. Still have yet to hear back from then as to whether they are going to fix then or not

I pulled off the highway with a 3-inch nail embedded in my tire, which was slowly deflating. I called the center and asked if they has any openings. They said to come right over.The technicians put my car on the lift, plugged the hole in my tire , and had me out of there within 25 minutes. Very happy with the service!

My complaint is towards the careless tech that replaced all four of my tires at the Yorktown location off 64. The tech appears to have been careless with the pneumatic gun when either removing or installing the lug nuts, perhaps even both. The tech also didn't put valve caps on all FOUR of the valve stems...seriously??I had a tire patched at this location in October 2020 when it was Treadquarters without issue.I always take pictures of my car before its serviced because I don't trust people working on my car as they will mostl likely not take the same pride in working on it as I do. This very outcome is why I do all my own work as much as I can.I'd give it a 1 star, but the manager was pleasant and nice and I can't fault her. Could blame be placed on her since she's the manager, perhaps, but she didn't physically do it so I won't.

I am sitting here right now. I called Monday for an appointment, got here the guy said he couldn't find it. How when you asked me for my information when I called. I dont know if I am being fit in or if they are honoring the appointment I set on Monday? Then asked me what kind of tires I ordered. Never told me if he found my tire order that had been delivered the Friday before. Today is Thursday. I was given an estimated wait time of two hours on the phone. Pretty much the guy took my keys 45 mins ago and told me it would be a while before they would get to my car. Unapologetic and unprofessional already and they haven't touched my vehicle. If my tires hadn't already been delivered here I would leave. I will never ever come to this location or probably even this company ever again. I will be making contact with a general manager as soon as I leave.

Went to Tire Choice in Newport News across from Kiln Creek. It's nice, clean, and spacious. I went there last year for my state inspection and the staff were really nice. I felt they were honest and not trying to take advantage of me because I am a woman. Today I went there because the undercarriage thing was hanging. Frank, the manager fixed it and didn't charge me! This was a blessing as life can get to you and I had cried earlier today before going to my appointment and that just made my day! Plus I was only there less than 30 minutes.

Tire choice took me with no appointment to help get the locking lug nut off my truck which no one else including the dealership could do. They alsobgot me marching replacement lug nuts and have everything thing done in just over an hour. Mary who was the one who helped arrange this was the most helpful, pleasant, and honest person I've worked with in a long time. They truly earned my business and will go there for all my tire and wheel needs. Thanks, I highly recommend!

I had reached out to this company after having a flat tire and unable to find anyone to service it. I called Frank and he was very kind and nice and told me they could assist me. Frank and his team was wonderful. They did a great job on my car and service was not too long. Thank you for your help.

Just called the shop and spoke to someone asking about a battery for my kia and this man first tried to diagnose my car through the phone and then continued to say my car battery is $500 + dollars. I just looked up the exact same battery and it cost $200 less then what he said.. why are people continuously trying to get over on people or mislead them. Guess that s what I get for needing help.Update: it wasn t the persons fault for the over priced battery but it is the company s fault. They are aware that items they sale are higher than usual and are doing nothing about it.

Just had my entire day WASTED by Tire Choice at 110 Arthur Way in Yorktown, VA. Specifically by Frank. I had a 7:30 AM appointment and dropped off my car. Frank told me although they were busy, he estimated my car would be done by noon. At 4 PM I called and was told it most likely would not be gotten to before close that day. The huge sign out front saying they do inspections, when really they don t should have been a red flag. The level of unprofessionalism is ridiculous. He should have called me at noon, to say there was a delay .I won t ever be back. Sad .

I think this particular Tire Choice location (Newport News) is having a tough time with staffing. Made an appointment to drop off my car in the afternoon for an oil change and tire rotation, but when I arrived, there was only one technician working and the (very nice!) front desk / customer service rep told me they wouldn't be able to complete my appointment that day. Made an appointment for the following morning right at opening (07:30), but when I arrived, the same very apologetic customer service rep informed me that they had NO technicians working that day (everyone called out sick?), and that no appointments would get seen.Tough situation - very friendly and apologetic customer service rep, and it certainly wasn't her fault, but needless to say, I won't be making any more appointments at this location, or using this company for service.

Since changing names there quality has declined. Made an appointment for tire rotation and oil chang. Upon arriving they couldn't find my appointment and sent me on my way. This was a 30 mile drive for me for this appointment. Been going here for 10 or more years. I will not return. The Manger wouldn't even come out and talk to us. This was the 110 Author Way location.

I had a slow leak so called and made an appointment. They took it in right on time. The tech came out and said he couldn't find the leak since I had said it was such a slow one he would keep looking. He came out a few minutes later and said it was the valve core and it was barely leaking. He replaced it and I was in and out in less than an hour. Keep up the good work!

Dropped off my car at 0830 to repair the left (drivers side) front tire due to a slow leak at Yorktown Tire Choice. Checked on status at 1:00 pm and told it was just going into the bay. Didn t get car until 4:00 pm. Drove 2 miles and low air light showed on the left front tire. Checked tire and it was almost flat. Took it back to Tire Choice and was told they couldn t get me in any more that day and they repaired the right (passenger side) front tire. Was back at 7:30 to get it fixed and told I could wait for it since it would take about 45 minutes. After 50 minutes I left and found Colony Tire who got me in and out in 40 minutes. Tire Choice is under staff and don t know how to give accurate estimates of completion.

I had an emergency situation on Thursday 3/16/23 when my valve stem broke and my tire deflated. I called multiple places and they were so rude and did not want to help in any way. I hurried up and booked an appointment with Tire Choice and they were amazing! Not sure of the guys name that helped me but he was very understanding and able to communicate the problem with me being that I m not big into cars. 10 mins later and my tire was good to go! Had to purchase a new TPMS sensor but I will definitely be back for them to install it. Thank you guys!

Best place to get a state inspection. Going on year 3 of going here. They took care of my car as a walk in customer and were done before I could even finish lunch across the street. Trevin was awesome and had great customer service. Will definitely be returning next year

SCAM ARTISTS! The lady claimed that this screw was in the sidewall when it is clearly in the tread. They tried to take advantage of a young hard working guy by trying to make him buy a new tire when this one is both pluggable and less than a year old. The lady also hung up on me while claiming it was illegal to fix it. We were one step away from contacting the police to file a fraud complaint. DO NOT GO HERE.

Frank took a late call and request for an oil change and inspection. Although the team worked late, they did a great job working hard to help their customers. A gentleman walked in after 6pm asking to borrow a pair of pliers to rig a broken window. Again, the team moved quickly to help what I hope to be a future customer. Good people! I ll continue to compliment and work with this team!

This is a business who really cares about their customers! I was driving back home from OBX when I drove over a chunk of metal on the highway and put a gash in my tire. I attempted to patch it but ended up stranded in Newport News for the night. By some miracle, Tread Quarters Discount Tire was located right behind the hotel where I stayed, so I went there first thing the next morning. Wan & Nicole were super friendly and helpful from the get-go. They set me up comfortably in the waiting room, where other customers were pleasantly speaking with one another and sharing stories as if they didn't have something better to do on the screens in their pockets. Since I didn't have an appointment, I waited for about 2.5 hours, and not once in that time did I feel impatient or uncomfortable. On the contrary, the environment was relaxing, and while I was waiting I saw other counts of wonderful customer service by Wan & Nicole. They gave me a great deal on my repair, which was a sweet silver lining to my misadventure. Thank you so much to this kind and professional team for taking care of me while I was alone in an unfamiliar place, dealing with a stressful situation! The repair has served me well, and I'd be happy to give them my business again. :)

Took my vehicle in today to have brakes done and to have my car winterized. I must say i was extremely happy with the service, and the staff there was awesome. Nicole the manager was great, she got me checked in and got my car in and out for me for a great price. John did the work on my car and my brakes feel great and my car is all ready for the winter. If your looking for a garage you can trust to take good care of you and your car, i highly recommend this shop. I would give 10 stars if i could

I recently took two of my vehicle s to this store and I was very impressed with Frank and his staff. Frank listen to my complaints about what I needed to be repaired and I was even able to bring him out side and show him on the vehicle s. Frank is a very honest and fair man, I very much enjoyed his customer service skills. I would recommend this shop to any car owner.

Had an appt for saturday for tires. Was only one set available so we "ordered" 4 new ones to come in "that afternoon." Placed a new appt for Sunday afternoon. Drove up there to be told no tires came in, no delivery yet. Call your customers with appts for that day and advise them so they don't drive to you to be told oops we don't have them!

Dawn was very polite and a pleasure to work with. The waiting area was clean and had plenty of room for those wanting to wait for repairs. They were able to work on the repair of our flat tire quickly during the lunch hour. The price was reasonable and it took less than an hour to get us back on the road. Thanks for such great service and laughing at m husbands jokes.
