Great place for auto work. Clean environment, friendly staff, and knowledgeable folks! They are good at getting you squared away! Came in with a brake situation and Stephen jumped right on it, tearing it down to find the source. They explained as they went. Stop by, you won t be disappointed! Thanks Stephen will work with you again.

Brake king has become the worst! Brake king has new management and an unorganized staff!! Read all the new changes they got posted on their glass. They charge $59.99 just for lifting your vehicle. I went in for a wheel, they did nothing but lift it to look at. They touched nothing, nothing! The receptionist said " if you would like him to try and do the front end alignment..." So what did he do?! He lifted it, looked at it and said your ball joints look bad. So you charged me $60 to tell me what I need to replace in order to do a wheel alignment. Well they changed me to lift it. The previous management would never charge you if they couldn't do the wheel alignment. They'd recommend what it would take to be able to do the wheel alignment and ask you if you'd prefer them to do it. They wouldn't charge you for just lifting the vehicle to do the wheel alignment in the first place! Brake king lifted my vehicle with the intent to do a wheel alignment, seen that they couldn't and charged me $60! They are now the new worst service business in Newport News, VA!

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE, DO NOT GO HERE.We had problems with our truck and gave it in to brake king for repairs. After a week they give us a call telling us that we can pick up our truck. We have our truck for a few days until we realize they did NONE of the repairs they charged us for. We have to take it in for another week and get charged for even more work. Two weeks later our mechanic friend looks at our vehicle since we were still having issues and tells is that they did almost NONE of the work they charged us for. Absolutely terrible compay, please do not go here, save yourself the hastle and headache. Such an extremely stessful experience. No one at the company has any idea what they are doing and the whole system is extremely disorganized.

These people are awful!! They told me I needed front and back rotors, pads and boots! Gave me an estimate of over a $1,000! When I refused their service they charged me $63 to tell me I needed brake pads!! I had my car fixed else wheres and guess what?? I didn't need ANYTHING done to my back brakes! First, they lied to me! Second, they had nerve to charge me $63 for their lie!!

No other wheel alignment service center charges a lift fee!! If they can't do the alignment they don't charge a lift fee! Check around people!

Waited over two hours to be told they could to my brakes, asked if I wanted to leave my car, and they were not sure if they would get to it that day. They don't do appointments for brakes.

This place is awesome! I was here to get new tail pipes on my truck because my have rusted off. I was greeted by friendly and helpful workers there. They took my truck in immediately, the mechanic came out told me the estimate, I gave him the okay for it and he went to work on it saying it would be a couple hours. It was done within an hour and some change and they did a fantastic job. Thank you guys so much!

I took my car here for an inspection and to have an O2 sensor replaced after my check engine light came on and I had it scanned at Auto zone. I was charged over 300 dollars, around 120 for the part, which was 80 dollars online, and 180 for the labor which took them thirty minutes to complete the job while I watched them drive it in and out. After I left the check engine light came back on the next day. We brought it in the following week to be looked at. I was told over the phone to drop it off in the morning and it would be looked at that day. I did not here from them and went after work to check, and they had not looked at it yet and told me they would not be able to get to it that day. I asked why and was told they are backed up. I would understand that if it was a new issue, but this was an issue that was potentially their fault. I took my keys and left. The previous owner sold the business, and now this is another shop out to take advantage of people.

I appreciate the great customer service from Nathan. He explained prices and service and was very friendly. However, when I came to pick up my car there was a very rude young lady with glasses. She would not listen when I told her I had already paid for my service. She continued to ask me for my name although I had already given it to her multiple times. She ultimately went to get a supervisor who retrieved my keys right away. I've been using Brake King for years and this is the first bad experience I've had, but it was enough to make me not to want to come back.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Replaced the fuel pump on our Caravan and everything is running great! Price was competitive, work was done on time, and I appreciated the straightforward conversation with the mechanic. Will definitely be coming back for future repairs.

Went for an inspection., first time there. Guys at the desk were friendly and professional. Promised my car would be ready in a couple of hours and it was ready in one. Texted when car was done and even gave me a phone call. I would recommend their business to everyone I know.

Went there today to get brake pads. I waited inside while the work was being done and was in and out in two hours, not bad at all!!! The staff was friendly, helpful and had very reasonable prices. Will absolutely use Brake King again in the future!!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I have been a long time customer of breaking, and have always found them to be honest. Recently, about three months ago breaking was bought under a different management group. I did recently take my car to get an inspection and everything seemed fine. However, I did take another vehicle I had to break king to get diagnosed, I had some issues regarding the wearing of the tires and what I knew to be my battery was just dead and needed a new one. However, after it being diagnosed, I was advised that my alternator was bad. Because that didn t seem right to me. I had the car taken to another place, and at that time it was discovered that the alternator was fine. New management does not seem to be honest, and I will no longer be taking my car to Bray King.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I been going to brake kings for over 15 years...I HAD AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE WITH BRAKE KING BUT IT HAS CHANGED...First , the mechanics don't quote you pricing anymore...I understand, they need time to work on the cars not answering phones...but when u call the front desk for quotes and young lady gives a quote that's almost double what the quote should be...I had a badexperience with same young lady on the phone some weeks ago...I have spend $$$$ thousands of dollars with Brake King...I know Stephen in suspension and Richie that deals wit engines...I may have to find a different shop because u got go thru people that answer the phone and dnt know alot babouy cars...smh...I liked when the od days..when Bobba was more around in the office...

Great service on my visit. I have been coming here for nearly forty years and they always do great work at an affordable price. They also found a bum job that another company had done on my front end that could have caused a accident. The only reason I had went elsewhere is because I had taken off from work but BK was booked for the day. Next time I will wait or make an appointment with them.

I dropped my truck off at 4:50 pm picked it up exactly 24 hrs later no problem. The staff is kind and courteous, prices are fair and they kept me up to date with findings, cost and approximate time of completion.

I don't know all the services that they provide, but I trust them. We have been taking our vehicles to them for different things over the past 10 years or more. Me being a woman, I never feel like I am be over charged or tricked into getting service done that's not needed. And I feel that their prices are always fair. I trust them more than the dealerships. I love Brake King! They helped me on the spot, fast and reliable with reasonable cost. I needed my brakes fixed and wow, they got to it faster than I could have hoped for. This is the second time I have had their assistance with a vehicle problem and all was GREAT the first time too. I really trust these guys, and I don't just trust lightly. Had Muffler put on 91 Toyota Truck. They had to order it. Was told it would be in by 1 the next day. Showed up a 2 gave them all my info and key. Sat down checked my phone and before I new it truck was on the lift.
