I had such a great experience here with my A/C repair. They found and fixed the problem, and were able to get me back on the road and cool! Prices were reasonable/par for area for what needed to be done. Jen was warm and professional as was the mechanic, who explained what he had found, and what needed to be done thoroughly. I cannot more highly recommend them.

The ONLY reason I am giving this place a one is because they were rather quick with getting an appointment. My experience was TERRIBLE. Jennifer was very nice up until I told her I wanted to pick up my car without getting services done. 1st of all they are over priced, I specifically specified what I was bringing my car in for & the techs refused to drive it & because of a fear of being stranded per Jennifer- if I had previously been told that I would of never brought it to begin! The issue i brought it in for would require a test drive. I had an engine leak which was previously diagnosed by another shop. I brought my car in for a different service ( which I explained prior to making an appointment), they did not address the issue AT ALL & charged me $110 for there so called diagnostic fee & did absolutely NOTHING to my car. A big waste of time & $$. I was referred to this place hoping to get good service but didn t receive the service I expected at all. Jennifer was rude & kept telling me pay the $110 & you can come & get your car I ve never been to a shop that doesn t deduct the diagnostic fee when proceeding with services there. Needless to say I would NEVER take my car back & DO not recommend!!! Save your Time & Money & stay away from this shop!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Nothing but great experiences here. I ve used Omni twice now and had nothing but good experiences with the techs and office staff. Honest, professional, and knowledgable employees. Up front no BS company!. Service was outstanding! They installed some aftermarket headers on my Mustang. Quality of work was very superb! No fingerprints, tampering with any items in my vehicle. The turnaround time for service was outstanding. Called me with updates, and even aligned my tailpipes (they were a little unleveled lol).Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

I brought my vehicle to Omni Performance to have engine mounts replaced. I was thoroughly impressed with the way they were able to schedule me in on just a few days notice. The customer service was outstanding. They even went the extra mile to take the time to show me specifically what needed to be done to my vehicle. The mechanic was top notch. The prices were very reasonable, they were way less expensive than other repair shops had quoted me. Omni Performance definitely made a lasting impression on me. Today was my first time going to them, but it definitely won't be my last. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top notch auto repair shop with outstanding customer service and reasonable prices.

I had an issue with my Mercedes after buying it and took it to Omni. After buying the car the lot said it just had sticky breaks and it just sat too long. Omni Performance looked at it found the issue which wasn t the breaks and jumped through hoops working with warranty issues to help. Long story short car is fixed and because they did an excellent job I was out of pocket 0. Amazing honest people that truly just want to do the right thing. I've been only going to them for all & any of my several cars/suvs needs since they opened and won't hesitate to send my personal friends to get theirs taken car of. I found myself in need of a mechanic as my present mechanic of 15 years had been letting me down, so I ultimately found myself at Omni Performance after a little bit of a search. I did have some reservations at first, but moved forward with getting work done on both cars. Omni met and exceeded the benchmarks I had set; they met all of my expectations and more. I found them to be effective, efficient, quick, reliable, fair, and thorough. What would ve taken my old mechanic 5 days to do, these guys got it done in 2(Im not here to smear my old mechanic, I m here about Omni). All you have to do is try them, and I would say you will happy with the decision. CAUGHT IN A LIE!- I came in to have my A/C fixed and a tire light looked at (I was about to go on a 10 hour road trip and was planning on selling the car soon)- was quoted $2250 for the A/C, I declined and paid $150 for the diagnostics- when I picked up the car that evening there were TWO NEW WARNING LIGHTS on the dashboard that I've never seen before- I informed the shop immediately and the woman on the phone INSISTED THOSE LIGHTS WERE ALREADY ON WHEN I CAME IN- I went into the shop in-person and explained that those lights were not on, and that I would have had them evaluated if they were on before because I was about to go on a road trip- the front desk woman stated that she "PERSONALLY DROVE" my car into the shop and saw the lights were already on when I dropped the car off- when I pressed her on this, she admitted that she DID NOT personally drive my car in, she just saw the car being pulled into the shop (my guess is this was likely after it had already been test driven by the shop mechanics, as stated on the receipt)- she offers to have me drop off the car again for ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTICS but would not quote me for the service. I explain that I will not be paying anything additional for a problem caused by the shop- the head mechanic overhears me arguing with the front desk lady and offers to plug his iPad into the car for free and see what's wrong- turns out, one of the staff mechanics had ACCIDENTALLY TURNED ON THE ANTILOCK BRAKE LIGHT- mechanic fixes the light for free and apologizes- this goes to show that the front desk lady LIED ABOUT THOSE LIGHTS BEING ON BEFOREHAND, since the mechanic admitted they were tripped by accident during the previous A/C and tire diagnostics- THE FRONT DESK LADY IS TRYING TO SCAM PEOPLE FOR ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTICS AND SERVICES- and finally, to top it all off, I took the car down the road and had a different mechanic look at the A/C. He fixed it for $760! Omni had quoted me $2250! SCAMS EVERYWHERE!TL;DR -This shop is actively turning on your warning lights to try to scam you for unnecessary services. I caught them in their lie.AVOID THIS SCAM!

The crew at Omni Performance went above and beyond to get my car set up for my needs and patiently stepped us through the use of all the new equipment. Wholeheartedly recommend them for any vehicle maintenance work.

I not only take my Mom's car to Omni, my husband and I bring our cars there as well. They have a 'can do' demeanor and I love that in any business (or person). The ever competent & friendly Jennifer at the front desk is always ready to plug us in, quickly, to their auto care team. When I have talked with the mechanics, they have been great too.Last time I took my 10 year old Mini Cooper to Omni, it came home with so much more pep & vigor than what it had when I brought it in. In the past I've asked them to figure out strange troubling sounds (one in particular that other shops weren't able to resolve). They have been successful every time.They are also honest and have reasonable prices. We'll keep on taking our cars to this well run and excellent business.

We were in desperate need of repairs to our RV and the Professionals at Omni Performance were able to get us in quickly and do top notch work. They didn t take long once they had our RV in their shop and the prices were reasonable as well. 10/10 would recommend to others!

These guys are excellent. They work on all my company vehicles as well as my personal vehicles. They've never snuck in some extra cost on me and communicate very well. They've worked on my turbo on my 550 and the transmission on my wife's equinox. Any repair small or large I trust them completely.

Called to schedule a state inspection, was able get it started same day and the moment I showed up, got out pretty quick too. Always come here for work on my car, have had better prices that others and never had complaints about their work! If needed (not hoping anything happens to my car :P ) I will be coming back!

Notoriously the best family owned and operated business in all of Hampton Roads. You want honesty in the folks that work on your vehicles this is the place and there is no other like it. I recommend Omni to all my friends, neighbors, and all acquaintances that need work done on their vehicles. Whether it is an oil change, modification, state inspection, or complete engine over-haul this is the only place I would recommend you take your vehicle. I have had all my vehicles from old to new worked on and state inspected by Omni Performance. I have been in the Military for over 20 years and have traveled the world and Omni Performance by far is the best of the best when it comes to vehicle maintenance and customer service.

These guys are awesome. I take both of my vehicles to Omni. They're honest and decent. Jennifer is knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. Omni has never let me down, and will continue to be my go to mechanic, even though I live 20 miles away now. If you're looking for a place that will treat you well and never take advantage of you, go to Omni.. they're good people.

I have been a loyal customer at Omni Performance for about 3 years. I have never had a complaint until this morning. I called yesterday to get a quote to replace my windshield, Jennifer said she would call me back and confirmed my contact number. Never called. This is something I have not had an issue with in the past with them. I called this morning and asked if it was OK to send my boyfriend there for me with my credit card to get an oil change and she said that was fine. When he pulled in, the parking lot was full and he wasn't sure where to park. He saw a mechanic standing around the building and asked him if he knew where he could park. His response was "I'm not curb side service man" and walked inside. Jennifer at the front desk said to him "does she know that its been awhile since she's had an oil change? Like a old time.....its been 8,000 miles. She needs to make sure she gets her oil changed every 3-5,000 miles." I can appreciate her concern, but her tone was very rude and he felt unwelcome and uncomfortable in their establishment. Not to mention, I get synthetic oil changes which last much longer than standard oil and once I exceed the recommended oil change mileage, i check the oil regularly. I also have a newer vehicle (2012) and it tells me when I need an oil change. The "oil change required" reminder came on Monday (yesterday). Needless to say, they treated with very differently then I have ever been treated and I am very disappointed with the customer service and lack of respect that he experienced this morning. I will not be returning.

I recently had an estimate from a local Ford dealer stating I needed to replace my engine on my GT Mustang with 73,000 miles. I took my vehicle to Omni Performance, whom I've been extremely pleased with, and their assessment was timing chain tensioner. I could not believe how the Ford dealer who I've used since 2008 could be so far off. They would have ripped me off. I have only the best things to say about Omni. Courteous people and wonderful service. Thank you Omni

I've known about Omni for about 4 months now, Jennifer is always super friendly and they do great work! They're always pretty fast, especially if you call ahead, and I have nothing but good things to say about them!

Omni Performance was recommended to me by people at our church as well as a couple of people in the automotive trade that I know. Over the past year or so my wife, myself and our family have had several jobs done by them. Four words come to mind immediately - Honest, Professional, Personable, Reasonable. From Jennifer (front office) to Brian (owner) and all employees in between, we were treated as friends from the moment we walked into the office for the first time to current... no double talk, no confusion, direct conversation in terminology that's easily understood by the layman, and honest diagnosis. Plus, not only do they warranty their work, they stand by that warranty and honor it! If you're on the peninsula and you're looking for an honest shop, quality work and reasonable prices, you need look no further... if you're reading reviews for Omni, you've already found them and you won't find better.

Great shop for all levels of maintenance or repair. Did not know of them as not on main road. Used them for oil change on class C RV. Excellent, timely service! We will be back.

I have lived in the 757 area for 30 years, and have never met a more professional, friendly, courteous or incredibly knowledgeable car shop staff EVER. Every experience I have ever had there has been positive; From bringing my wife's car in for an inspection, to having a simple bolt loosened because I lacked the tools or knowledge to do so.The front desk lady, Jennifer, is beyond helpful. Professional, friendly and always service with a smile, she is eager to help with the front-end of the business. Working hand-in-hand with her boss and the Tech staff, she is as knowledgeable as those who would replace your tie-rod end. Always willing to help in whatever way she can, with a discount or with explaining the reasoning behind a new part, she has impressed me time and again.Though I do not know any of the staff names, the 2 gentlemen I see the most in the garage are equally friendly and helpful with any issue. Without provocation, one of the staff diagnosed (CORRECTLY) that my 2001 Chevy 2500HD 4WD rear-drive shaft U-Joints were worn out. Low-and-Behold, (once I could afford the parts and repair), he was spot on (rear u-joint no longer had any grease, but was packed with rust and corrosion).The gentleman who inspected my wife's car was more than helpful when he, unfortunately, had to fail it due to a seat belt/air bag error on the dash. Suggesting that most (if not all) car manufacturers will diagnose and repair most seat belt/airbag errors free of charge (included in vehicle guarantee), we were able to have her car repaired for free by Honda, and brought it back to be inspected. Very quick and incredibly helpful, this gentleman helped us immensely.Just recently I had all 4 tires replaced on above mentioned 2001 Chevy. Anywhere else, it wouldve cost me over $1200 to replace all 4, WITHOUT alignment. At Omni, I was able to get all 4 Hankook A/T tires (60K rating), with alignment for less than $900.I can only imagine that those who write negative reviews on here have really only themselves to blame for their negative experience. As it is posted NUMEROUSLY all over the building and lot, the back area is NOT owned by Omni, but rather by a Towing business, and we all know how friendly Tow-Truck drivers and Repo Men can be.If you ask for an estimate on something close to closing time, it might be worthy to think that you should 1) Call at a better time in the day, before closing on a Friday; 2) Maybe follow up the next day, if you have not had a call back. Remember, you are one person with one need. They were only 4-5 people with hundreds of demands on them.By far, this is a small business that I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone that wants great, prompt and professional service without paying the high price. I cannot sing their praises enough.

I have 5 cars and 3 bikes. I turned wrenches in the Navy for 20 years and do most of my own car/bike maintenance. When I don't have time, don't feel like doing the work, or don't know how, I go to Omni. They have fixed problems that I have fought with for months. Some have been looked at by other mechanics. They always get my work done quickly,correctly and at a reasonable price. Sometimes I just show up and they still work me in. I prefer the family run atmosphere compared to the dealership where I feel like just another number. Try them. You won't be sorry.

What is there to like about this so called auto repair shop..... NOTHING AT ALL!!Unprofessional, lack of knowledge, rude, inconsiderate, so called auto mechanic shop!First lets start off with unprofessional. Two weeks they've had my car, informed me it would be awhile but I would have never guessed it would take an ENTIRE 16 days including today. The owner is the WORST,and the woman that works the front desk is just as bad. They did some work on my car before and warrented the labor and parts for two years. Having issues with it again and now they say " well it was customers here before you, and being that your work is free...." Before she could finish she was cut off. Your right the work is free they were the ones who put the warranty on their work! That doesn't make me or my car any less of a valued customer. Don't know what they are doing, I would rather you tell me we don't work on that make of car which is an AUDI than to work on it and then you get mad because it wasn't done properly. And to respond the the owners response to a previous review. They are DO NOT communicate with the customers UNLESS they will make money off of you. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to my WORST enemy.

I have used Omni, multiple times and had probably $4-5,000 worth of repairs on two vehicles over the past two years. They are very good and I believe very honest. I have a couple auto warranties and found that they worked very well with the warranty companies.

Seriously the only place I will take my vehicle to get serviced ! They are awsome and honest people that don t try and get over on people just for your money . They are knowledgeable, helpful & honest and always have my vehicle done in a fast time ! For years I went to car repair shops that did nothing but try and scam me for money and tell me things were wrong with my vehicle that were not but this shop is not like that at all . I highly recommend them !

I can fully understand the negative comments with this repair shop. After spending $2700 to repair a continuing problem that they had initially failed to adequately diagnosis and for which I had already paid $2000, I picked up my vehicle which they claimed they road tested. I drove it about 50 feet when I tried to straighten out my steering wheel and nearly ended up in a ditch. The steering wheel was 45 degrees off from true - a condition that did not exist before they had worked on the engine. Now the mechanic had to be higher than a kite if he test drove the vehicle and missed this problem. So I asked the mechanic and he told me that while Omni may take apart your engine and drive train there is no guarantee that the parts will fit together again. When I asked the owner why the vehicle was no longer safe to drive, he initially advised me to to get an alignment at my expense - to correct the problem they had caused because they don't pay attention when they are reassembling your vehicle. It was the old we got paid so it's no longer our problem. Now I don't know if that mechanic has ruined the rest of the drive train and the transmission because they honestly couldn't care less about the quality of their work. The owner had no explanation for why the road test had missed the defect or why they tries to dump a defective repair on me.
