Gosine's is to me the fairest place in the area to get work done. Mr Gosine's is a man of great integrity, and he will always be my go to guy as long as he is open. He and his wife Debbie run a great business.

I am a teacher, so I didn't have the money for repairs until my car completely died. Through the website, I applied for credit and was able to take my car to Gosine's Auto Repair. They communicated frequently, worked quickly to get my car running, and followed up soon after. I am very pleased and relieved that they were able to fix my car. Fraud.I had warranty work done on my truck 4 or 5 months ago. I had a catastrophic failure of my coolant system. He supposedly replaced my radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses and serpentine belt.He used remanufactured non-oem, non-mopar parts.He also charged me for work and parts over my $200 deductible.Do not trust.

I called before hand and the customer service owner told me what it could be and said to bring it on by. We dropped it off, and she called me with updates and told me what the car needed and what the exact price would be. It was in and out in just a couple hours with new tires and a 4 wheel alignment. My car drives so smooth now. A GREAT place to get your repairs! Great prices! Will definitely go back for all of my repairs.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

I called to make an appointment for my car. The lady on the other end was pleasant and easy to understand. No hassle appointment.Update: I ended up cancelling as I had already found what I was looking for..but the same lady I talk to before and was just as cheerful now as she was then. I want to go there.

2013 Rio was experiencing A/C problems. Gosine's kept it for a day to troubleshoot, provided me an estimate and delivery time frame. They kept me well informed and I was happy with the amount of work they did versus the cost - very fair. I will take any of my cars back there for troubleshooting and repair. It is also convenient because it is close to my work. Work performed correctly at a fair price.

I can't say enough good about this place. I was treated respectfully and on a personal level both when I called on the phone and when I walked into the repair shop. I was in for an alignment ($20 cheaper than anywhere else in town) and the receptionist noticed that my inspection was due to which she offered to do first because if there was something wrong with the hardware underneath an alignment wouldn't do much good until good parts were installed. I was appreciative and impressed by the suggestion and this was just from the receptionist mind you, not the mechanic. Turns out my inspection passed fine and my alignment went on as scheduled. And, they stayed an hour past close working on my vehicle, checking it twice to make sure it was right. I was extremely impressed with the service and value. Try them out!

This business has been in Downtown Newport News for over 25 years. The owner and operator is one of THE MOST honest mechanics you can bring your car to. This is particularly hard to find in though economic times. I have been bringing my car since I started driving 14 years ago and I will not go anywhere else. If you want quality service at a fair price bring in it to Gosine s Auto Repair. It has been a reputable staple in the community for years committed to serving with integrity!

Any work I have had done on any of my vehicles has always been preceded with an estimate. The work was done in a timely manner and always repaired right the first time. The shop is clean and the people are professional. Most importantly, the work is done right at an affordable price. I recommend Gozine s Auto Repair without hesitation!

Still to this day waiting on a return call. The worst company I have seen. My car warranty company gave me this company s contact information to get my transmission repaired. I have called everyday for 2 1/2 weeks to schedule a day to bring my car in. Every day get the run around now they don t answer the phone or return my calls. Would never refer this company to do anything. Called and made an appointment with another company and car is being repaired as I type. Can t always support our folk!

Have been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. They search for best prices and are always friendly and willing to answer questions and show you the problem. Mechanics do a great job and prices are fair. A great place for women. You won't be left with an I feel ripped off feeling or be made to feel stupid.

Brought turbo PT Cruiser in to replace alternator. While working on the car, Gosine's called and said engine mount is cracked. I authorized replacement...would have been nice to see the crack or a picture of it. Paid $584.64 bill and drove away, but a piece of plastic engine covering was dragging on ground. Brought car back to Gosine's on a slow day when lifts were open and mechanics were sitting around or sweeping floor. They put car on lift and zip tied piece, but piece now bulged out. I pointed this out so mechanic made 2 holes and added another zip tie. Gosine's charged me $20. Surprised, I said the plastic wasn't dragging before Gosine's. Mechanic said they didn't touch the covering when replacing the alternator and engine mount. I said those 2 items are directly above the covering, so obviously you touched or removed the covering. My logic seemed lost on Floyd - the customer was wrong. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth because it only took 5 minutes and 4 zip ties. As I drove away, there were still no other customers and the floors were clean.Note: the receptionist is nice - it seemed she shared my sentiments regarding the $20 charge.

I don't know if this would be considered a great place for service. I guess I'd give it an average rating. Came in needing a strut mount replaced and of course they wanted to up sell me on what needed to be done.Once they got into the work, they showed me the strut they took off in order to get to the strut mount and it turned out that it needed to be replaced. My initial impression was they try to run up the price on people.The labor price is probably about average for the area. $70/hour. Small shop

Lady at the front desk was extremely rude when asked simple question about store hours. They replaced my water pump but never called to authorize additional parts and labor. Front desk attendant even admitted that she forgot to call but did the work anyways. Now, 2 weeks later, I find out that they never properly reinstalled my air intake manifold that they removed to get at the water pump. Terrible service, dont go to unless you want to be ripped off

I ended up going to the wrong shop. I was supposed to go to Guarantees auto shop. I ended up here and didn't realize it till looking at my search history. I'm so glad I ended up here. Gosines fixed my car and now my car is back to working. My dealer wanted to charge me 1200 for a alternator, serpentine belt and battery. Dealer did a diagnostic and all. Went to get the alternator replaced at another shop and it didn't fix the issue. So I ended up here and only needed a fuel system cleaning. Thanks Gosines. I will be returning if I ever have anything else needed for my vehicle. I recommend Gosines.

I have taken my vehicle to Gosine Auto since I first learned how to drive. Gosine offers amazing quality work. Mr & Mrs Gosine are upfront about work being done and the cost. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable about cars and provides great customer service. I highly recommend Gosine Auto Repair.

I do not patron Gosine as his conduct is questionable. I stopped in 2009! Truly, he is not a "jack-leg" and prices are reasonable. There was a latent perspective he thought I hadn't picked up on!!!!! It had nothing to do with finances.

I will definitely return to gosine's. I went there for a state inspection. Very polite customer service. Not to long of a wait. I waited for my vehicle there and the lady behind the counter spoke with me while I waited.

Called to ask if they are a Certified Porsche Service Center. The lady who answered the phone's "english" was very broken and even after I asked my question twice, she still couldn't understand me...guess I'll take that as a bad omen...

Contacted Mr. Gosine (go-sign) 25 minutes to 6 pm on a monday evening. Mr. Gosine picked up the phone and asked what my problem was. Advised Mr. Gosine my truck was not driving right (shaking while accelerating and no check engine light, all forums were giving different suggestions such as spark plugs, torque converter, etc...) and have already visited Autozone and had diagnosed and no codes thrown. Mr. Gosine said he has a more sophisticated machine and sounded eager to solve my problem and suggested to bring it in for he would be hanging around the shop for a little longer. Did so. Left truck overnight. Was called the next day and told it was a coil on top of one of my spark plugs. Big sigh of releif especially when I heard the price. Was advised can pick up. Advised no ride for a couple of days and then was asked where lived . Informed and Mr. Gosine came and picked me up! Paid with a feeling that I have encountered a mechanic with honesty, integrety, and superb customer service skills. Also while at the shop asked Mr. Gosine to dremmel a part of a heat shield that was already dismounted that was rubbing against my muffler. Did without a blink. My hat is off to Mr. Gosign.
