Very frustrating experience with this place.I brought my truck in for an inspection and waited 2.5 hours. I was notified that my truck was going to fail inspection due to needing new pads and a 3rd brake light bulb. I asked for a quote to have this work done, it was an unbelievable $530. I decided to leave and replace the parts myself ($61 for parts and 30mins tops to replace everything).When I left, I immediately noticed that my truck was making a thumping noise up front so I turned around and took it back to the shop. I was told that they forgot to torque the lug nuts, I was shocked.I was then told that when I replaced the parts and returned, they would simply look through the wheel to verify that new brake pads were installed and check the 3rd brake light. That's not at all what happened, I again had to wait my turn in the lobby and they brought the truck back into the shop for another inspection.Long story short, avoid this place. They quoted me $530 for $61 worth of parts and 30 minutes of work. They forgot to torque my lug nuts, an absolutely unacceptable mistake as this could've caused an accident.

Took my wife s car after it overheated on a Saturday. Get a call saying the the coolant was low and they had to pull the spark plugs to see if the coolant was in the motor. Which would be the right move if I hadn t already told them that I cracked the reservoir and it boiled out. And I know the coolant was full before so I told them let s skip that and look elsewhere. Get another call back two hours later and they say car is ready. Which I replied what was wrong with it? Honest to god the guy said I don t know. Ok so what do I do if it happens again. He replied take it to the dealer. That was his professional opinion. So I go pick it up and he tried to charge me 102 dollars and I was like for what? Diagnostic fee. I said well if saying I don t know and take it to your dealer is your diagnosis then I will not be paying for that. Took the car to another mechanic and it was 145.00 relay and fuse repair. Do not take your car here

I unfortunately do not remember the name of the gentleman that helped me but he was great. He needed to do additional service to my truck but it was late in the day. We were leaving on vacation the next morning and were going to have to delay our start. Much to my surprise he pulled the truck back in and got it done that evening. Thanks so much...you have earned a customer for life.

2nd time to Hidenwood Shopping Center Firestone and Ed did an awesome job working with all the customers.As I waited for my oil change and state inspection to be done, I listened to him talk to muliple customers. He was very professional and informative. He was customer centric and made sure he explained everthing very clearly so customers could make an informed decision.Because of Ed, my family will use them regularly in the future for tire needs and service.

Do not take your vehicle here for major work, it may be FATAL! Not exaggerating: I ended up having a heatstroke due to their shoddy work and lack of accountability. The manager kept pushing my repair off to another time. When they finally supposedly made the repair, no one did a test-drive or else they would've known the repair was incomplete or something else was needed. Once I was out of the hospital, I did receive a refund for the lack of previous service, however, now my vehicle needs the engine replaced due to it not being repaired the first time! It is so sad and frustrating! I trusted Firestone with my vehicles for DECADES, now I have no faith in them. I have left messages and emails with corporate and have been IGNORED. I never thought I would need legal assistance for this to be made right, but that looks like the reality of the situation. Another American business icon gone down the drain!

This shop is terrible! I left my truck there for a broken battery terminal. They manager, Karl, called and said the key I left for the vehicle did not work, thus they could not open it to get to the battery terminal for repair. He said he tried it himself. I called a locksmith, who went to the store and used the key to open the truck. The locksmith even showed them that the key worked. The locksmith even said they should reimburse me for this charge in his opinion as he did nothing other than use the key to get in the truck. The locksmith charged me for his service call, and the store REFUSED to reimburse me for the charge!

The work that was completed was amazing however after waiting for over an hour in store I dealt with the worst customer service. When I brought in my vehicle and was quoted a price , I asked to pay in cash right then but was told I had to wait until the service was complete to pay which I understood. However when it came time, the guy slaps the papers down and states " I've already counted my til for the day, you can't pay with cash". Which meant I would have to find a ride home , miss work from 5 am to 5 pm , find a ride back to Firestone the next day all because you have counted the til for the day which isn't right. I will not stop complaining about this because this was the most humiliating experience because someone didn't want to count cash.

I always get excellent service. They did not try to sell anything, saying the fix to my leaking tire was covered by warranty at no cost. I am glad I have switched to Firestone for tires, having older ones on the rear and the newer on the front (location of the leak). They even checked all four tires and said they should all be okay at the next state inspection, which is in October of 2024, even though I said I wanted to replace them earlier next year if needed.

Their service is fantastic! Cheap oil changes, great service advising, love it. Even if they don t have the equipment to service your vehicle, they refer you to knowledgeable shops with confidence and do their job super well.

I took my car in for state inspection they told me my car needed new windshield wipers I said I don't really drive my car much but I know if I didn't get new windshield wipers they were going to fill me so I told them to go ahead and on top of that they put the wrong size windshield wipers on then they turn around and told me that I needed my car lined up I told them no just because you're a woman they try to screw you never go back again

Awesome staff and team. I ve had my car serviced by them and diagnosed some strange issues I had experienced. They are always quick to answer and great with providing the highest level of repairs/service. They are unlike many other auto shops as they will not pressure you to spend top dollar. They will help you find the best solution moving forward on any matter. I would highly recommend this branch for any car mechanic needs.

I liked this store because it was the closest to my house and process is usually smooth. However, I went to get my car inspected and they ask me to leave the car for three days before they can get to it. I get a call two days later that they went to turn it on and the catalic converter was cut from under the car and stolen when it was parked in their parking.All they told me to do was file a police report and call my insurance.Here are my questions:1- Why would it take 3 days to do state inspection?2- if this was stolen from my vehicle I bet it happened to others before me. Why isn't there a camera installed?3- Wouldn't you try to keep your costumers and offer some type of solution instead of telling the costumer to figure it out?4- I was never warned that if I leave my vehicle this might happen.this happened almost a month and half ago and I just finished taking care of it, towing and find a shop to repare and dealing with the insurance...etc.I liked this store but they forced me not to.

My husband took my car (2017 GMC Acadia Denali) for a state inspection on yesterday, 1/20/23. It passed inspection as it should. I had no doubt it would as he made sure it had brand new brakes and tires on it before getting it inspected on top of the fact that it is still a newer car and still under full extended warranty with Carmax so anything wrong with it we can get fixed no problem before getting inspected. There is no way the store could fail the inspection. However, they tried to make some needed service recommendations to him when calling to say the car was ready. One of those recommendations was a 4-wheel alignment because and I quote, they noticed some uneven wear on the tires during the inspection . The tires are BRAND new like they were literally installed the day before the inspection at Costco and maybe had 15 miles on them as he had only driven it home from getting the tires before and then to Firestone for the inspection the next morning. When he fussed the person out on the phone and told him this he begins to sputter and fumble saying that maybe he grabbed the wrong ticket. No you didn t grab the wrong ticket- YOU ARE CROOKS! You didn t count on that he had literally just gotten the tires and you prey on peoples ignorance. Heaven forbid it had been an older car that may have had the possibility of you being able to claim some other things- no telling what other kind of unnecessary work you would have recommended or even tried to fail the inspection. You should be ashamed of yourselves and you better believe I will be completing a negative review EVERYWHERE and telling everyone I know never to take their vehicle to your store. ~David & Glenda Walter

My car was running fine, took my vehicle there to get a oil change. Drove it to work and all my antifreeze ran out of my car. Took back to them to find out my waterpump need to be replace. Never had any issues with my vehicle. Was told later that Firestone is the worst place to take your car

Staff were un-interested in helping when I walked in. Guy worked on the computer in front of me, greeted me but then just carried on working on the pc and then got up and left, then another guy came to the computer worked on it for about 3min without even acknowledging I was standing in front of him. Then eventually asked "what do you want?". No greeting still. After explaining i need a tire repair, he said leave the car here and ill try have it done at 6pm(this was 9:30am). Didn't offer to put the spare on or anything so that I could leave. Decided to take my business to a mechanic that actually wanted to help.

On Thursday I Scheduled my Ford 150 Supercab to get aligned on Sunday ( the soonest time that could get it in) dropped it off 45 min before. Then get a call stating they could align my truck because it was too large fire there racks. Suggested I go to another location 20 min one way to see if they could do it. Onlyt try o find out they couldn t do it until the next day. Hard to believe they there computer couldn t tell them it was not compatible when I made the appoint. Brought my truck in for an oil change and an inspection of a noise coming from the front end. They didn t even drive it out of the parking lot to diagnose the noise. Charged me the 10 bucks for diagnostic, no big deal. They told me I needed a brake fluid exchange for $70.Now for the bad part:I scheduled a brake fluid exchange for 11/24 at 3:00 PM. I dropped my truck off before closing on 11/23. When I called to get status at 4:45 PM on 11/24, she informed me that they were working on the truck now. Not able to leave my truck there for two days, I went to the store just before closing at 6:00 PM only to find that it had not even moved from where I parked it on the 23rd. I asked for my keys back and arranged to pick it up myself last night. If they were understaffed or too busy, I understand. It s the blatant lie and lack of care that cost them a lifelong customer. I wasted multiple Lyft rides, a day without my vehicle, and hours of my life on a company that couldn t care less about their customers. Having just spent nearly $800 on four tires and lifetime alignment for my coupe, I am other-worldly disappointed with Firestone Hidenwood.If there was an option to give less than 1 star I would.DOES NOT RECOMMEND!

Clean efficient attentive and decent location. Offering a low cost oil change currently but did not too off my fluids and I paid the $10 extra to have windshield wiper fluid and all fluids top off. Also found additional issues that where super costly so with them you do have to be careful.

Horrible!! I had a flat tire after running over a bolt. I went in to get the flat tire and the other left front tire replaced. When they returned my truck, they changed the 2 rear tires, left the spare on and kept the front right tire on. This was a 3 day process. When I went to pick the truck up, the manager said he wanted to make things right with me. I told him that I would like $200 back of the total cost because he asked me I could name my thing I wanted. He told me that he would talk to his boss and get back to me tomorrow. Well, that was 2 weeks ago. Still no call. Nothing for my troubles. Will never come back to this location again!!

Carl store manager at store #002631 went above and beyond on a mistakes that was caught by the Firestone on marketplace drive in Hampton va .. instead of sending me back to have them repair the problem he offered to fix the problem to prevent hassle of more inconvenience of sending me back to other store .. problem was fixed free of charge and apologized again for the matter excellent A-1 customer service

I buy all my tires here and get all my inspections done here as well. They do free rotations and top up your tire pressure when needed, don't even have to get out of the car. They have an easy credit line with 0% interest for 6 months for new tires. Check them out.

My car was dropped off Tuesday from 2:00 PM until closing, after being told they would have time to get to it, but nothing was done. It wasn t until I called them 10 minutes prior to closing asking for a status update that they told me they weren t able to get to it. I rushed over there to pickup my keys because I had to be at work early the next morning. I dropped it back off the next day, Wednesday at 11:00 AM until closing, but they discovered they needed a part that was not in stock, so again nothing was done. I had to pickup my car after another full day seemingly wasted and bring it back yet again, a third day in a row. Now it s Thursday and I drop my car off from 9:30 AM until 3:00 PM. They installed the part they had ordered, and were to also replace my wiper blades. When I picked up my car at 3:00, I was informed last minute at checkout that the wiper blades they had didn t fit my car and they would have to put my torn blades back on before I leave. I spent three days without a car, arranging rides to and from work, while my car just sat there and it seemed that those days were nearly a complete waste because installing/replacing ONE part wouldn t have taken more than two hours anywhere else. This location has always been a bad experience for me, and this time was the last take. I ll make the drive to Denbigh or Grafton for more considerate and honest care.

online reviews weren't great about this place... but thought I'd still give it a try due to its close location to my work. I have no complaints. They did the work I asked and didn't try to up-sell me or say something else was wrong with my car. Very nice & informative employees! Plus $26 for a oil change and tire rotation! Works for me!!Also, very random - but the bathroom was nice and clean - which is always a plus in my books for a car repair shop!! :)
