Newport News hidden car repair gem!!! Shhh! Great prices, great mechanics, friendly staff. Came in for my oil change, they hopped right on it. Pricing is fair. I ve used them for years, never a worry when it comes to service! Matt and Ayden OMG! They made my visit so relaxing. They offer a nice waiting area, with drinks ( coffee, tea, etc.) they are polite and will explain the process. I come here for most of my auto needs. They are also on the local bus route, if you wanna leave and come back. You will be pleased with the pricing and service. But hurry!!!!! Because when people find this gem, they will be right on in to get service! Without a doubt! Try it and see! Oh, you welcome

Great service. The guys were very honest about the maintenance, didn t push me to get any unnecessary repairs. Gave me an accurate time estimate, didn t take long. Business was easy and straightforward. Definitely would return for any future maintenance and would recommend Economy to a friend.

This place is absolutely horrible failed my 2015 Lexus over a side mirror because it automatically opens when you turn the car on. When we told them it was a button on the door they said it s up to the incompetent state inspector. Fair to say it failed over them not understanding foreign cars. Be very wary of this place there yelp reviews don t seem to match there google reviews.

Failed my car because the inspector refused to turn the auto button off the driver mirror. If they can t turn a button off and fail a car for that, I wouldn t want them touching any of my vehicles had 2 appointments scheduled and FOR SURE Cancelled the 2nd

I asked them to please tell me the truth because I am so sick of getting financially scammed. So he truthful told me. I still ended up spending $200. Rather than the $600. They were asking. It's hard to find any honest businesses however they came the closest that I've encountered in a very long time

I would not take a dog sled to this place they were disrespectful and did not do anything but charge me 360 after they told me me front end bushings were bad I had just put a new front end under my truck they said A frame ended up with 2 pos shocks if those were the bad bushings I can buy those in the help section at any auto parts store they got me hard for nothing took them all day to do it it s an hour job do not recommend

I went to Economy Auto Repair to have a driver side motor mount installed and have my truck inspected. They found a couple of things that needed to be repaired for the truck to pass inspection. They fixed everything and inspected the truck. This shop is a one stop shop for all of your auto repairs.

This is a great place. I went for a safety inspection and ended up needing some repairs; the owner was able to get what I needed done in a timely and affordable way. Customer service is top tier! I wouldn't hesitate to bring my vehicle back in the future and highly recommend this shop.

This is the second time I've gone to Economy, and I haven't regretted either of them. The first time was for my yearly inspection, they were up front with me on what needed to be done, what they could do, and what the dealership had to do. The second time was for a brakes issue. While my brakes were fine, they gave me advice on other issues I was having with my vehicle. They are honest and open about their pricing and policies, and I will continue to bring my car here for service.Services: Tires, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Wiper blade installation, Auto maintenance

I went in to get my brake pads replaced due to a grinding sound, and I brought in my own brake pads from ebay. During the pre-install inspection, they discovered that the worn out pads have been grinding on the insides of the rotors, and James showed me the exact spots where metal on metal contact was occurring. Luckily, the shop had rotors for my car on hand, and they went ahead with the install of the new rotors and pads.A squealing noise became a new issue after the new pads were installed, and so I returned to the shop to see what the issue was. It turned out that the ebay brake pads that I supplied had faulty hardware that was rubbing on the rotors, and so I ordered new brake hardware. A week later I returned to the shop, and they installed the new brake hardware and now my car has fresh brakes with no squealing sound.Service: Brakes

James was very nice and friendly to me when I came in for my stripped lug nut on my tire. It s was done in about an hour. He even let me use his personal charging port because my phone died lol. The prices are affordable as well. I went to a place before Economy Auto Repair and they were trying to charge me $162. Here I only paid $124. Definitely hit them up !Service: Tires

Went to get vehicle inspected, although my vehicle failed, the experience was professional. The waiting area was clean, the desk person was pleasant. We fixed what failed and brought it back and got vehicle inspected. Good experience.

This place literally has the best service for the best price. We ve have been going here for 8+ years for all our cars. The new manager (James) is amazing ! He always greets us with a big smile and super welcoming. I visited this company today for an alignment and I had the best experience ever!!! All of the employees were friendly and greeted me as I walked in. James was amazing and made me feel comfortable!!! He answered all of my questions, and gave me print outs with cozy information as needed!! The prices and service is top notch!! I would highly recommend!!! Tried to ask for a quote on a specific part and labor. Man on the phone at 08:45 on 08 June 2022 said he was stepping inside so he could hear better but would not let me finish a sentence and just kept telling me they will only do a diagnostic, for $85, and will not discuss anything else over the phone. Moments after posting this review, the guy calls back. He apologized for the call quality, saying they sometimes have trouble hearing on the phone. I could hear him just fine on both calls. We had to tell him not to call back because we're not doing business with them.
