State Re-Inspection...I am very displeased with the service I received at Colony Tire. First off, I'm loaning a vehicle from a family member. The inspection sticker is failed. I'm told when I have a chance, to run it by for the pass. Why failed...a tire was bad so the loaner bought one from colony tire. A passenger side window which was also replaced and the headlights failed. I'm a auto detailer so I took care of the headlights. Day 11, I go by the establishment for the re-inspection and am asked can I drop it off. I can't so I let them know I'll be back the next day. Returned on Day14 around 1pm and was asked again can I drop it off. No, I can't. I am then told to bring it back at 730 next morning which is the 15th day. I return on time and let them know I will sit and wait and at first it's ok. 30 minutes later I'm asked can I leave it because it will take a couple hours. I asked calmy why is that when it's just a re-inspection and am told the other cars have priority. I go to my vehicle and pull up state inspection laws for Va and find that I do not have to wait, that I am priority.Administrative Code 19VAC30-70-90. Rejection Sticker Part C where it states if a vehicle returns for reinspection within the 15 Day period, the rejecting station will reinspect the vehicle without delay or at the reasonable conclusion of the current inspection being performed. I went in and expressed this without anger and was told that was not the way they do things. I left commenting that I will get it inspected somewhere else then. That eveining I was told by my family member that their boss called them into the office and explained the situation about my visiting the inspection establihment and that I was rude and all. Mind you, I never got rude other than showing the codes to them to let them know they were doing me wrong. Other than that I don't work where my family works and this is not a company vehicle so why was his job called. I work for myself so you can call and talk to my boss anytime... it's me, but why call his job where I'm not employed and if I were would that have cost me my job. Well it didn't and he can't get in trouble either so that was very stupid on your part.Furthermore, my rejection sticker was not stamped with the date, and the other inspection station told me that was illegal and that they should have taken me in the first day I came back because the problems that it was rejected for did not warrant having to drop my vehicle off. Thanks Colony tire for wasting my time and I was also advised to report this to the state troopers which will be following and the fact that you took $20 and didn't honor your position almost warrants a lawsuit. Will be contacting a lawyer as well.

I called and asked for a price on an Alignment. Someone named Robbie/Rob answered the phone. I asked how much an Alignment was. He said, "We do not give quotes over the phone" then he hung up on me! If this is your customer service, I do not want it!!!!

Does a astronomical!!!Tires is truly what they do and they do it right everytime! The staff are friendly, seasoned and informative. They work around the clock with you!I highly recommend colony if you feel your old tire servicing company isn't cutting you a good deal for some name brand tires.

Imagine going on their website and making an appointment only to be told that the appointment you made doesn't exist because they don't take appointments. Also, Robbie is the worst customer service representative I have ever had the displeasure of encountering.

I got my car inspected somewhere else and was told my brakes were very worn and would need to be replaced before the next inspection. So when the next inspection came up, I bought brakes and rotors and decided to try Colony Tire. Imagine my surprise when I got a phone call from their mechanic stating that my pads weren't even halfway worn down and there was no need to replace them. He charged me for a half hour labor for the inspection and that was it.

Awesome! Had a blow out on a drive tire, and found this shop closest to me. I arrived before they opened, but that didn't stop the guys who were early from helping me out. Willie had my truck back on the road in record time. Big Shout to Willie and Percy for all the help. People like this are the reason for repeat business.

Outstanding organization! Called Colony Tire on Oyster Point road when I couldn t be helped by another company after waiting without any indication of any progress. Percy got me right in and fixed my tire and checked all the other tires. Saved my vacation to the area.

So towards the engine of January my Ford Focus engine light kept coming on and I went to an auto place to get a diagnostic scan. Once I had documented proof of what the issue was I took the car to Colony. The mechanic told me they could fix the car and would call when the car was ready. When they finally called I went to pick up my car and I noticed that the engine light was still on. I was told by the mechanic that the issue was fixed and there may be another underlying issue. So then I asked them if they could conduct a diagnostic scan to see what the issue actually is and the mechanic said that they do not have any diagnostic equipment. So I went to another auto place to get a diagnostic scan and the same issue was shown again after the scan!I called the mechanic back explaining that I received another scan and the issue is still showing. He said they fixed the issue (even though they do not any actual proof because they do not own any diagnostic equipment) and refused to work on the car again. They also refused to give me a refund. Usually a mechanic will either give you your money back or they ll keep working on the car but they refused which is weird. I would ve actually paid more if needed because I was moving and needed the car fixed.

In the middle of a 6K trip, we needed to replace a tire, meaning all four. Percy at Colony Tire & Service saved the day by agreeing to install four new tires we had to buy at another store. Great people, fast and helpful, definitely take your business to them.

This place is great. I m from WA State, and before heading back home in our Class A motorhome we needed to replace all 4 of our rear tires. They found them at other stores and got them within 3 business days. No appointment, show up at 11:30, started on them at 11:50, and came down off the jacks at 12:50. That s pretty unbelievable in todays world. Price was good, sales was upfront and no hidden charges. If you need 22.5 commercial sized tires, you won t do much better than this place.

Very friendly and hard working people! I called couple weeks ago and they were able to get me in the next day to put new tires on my car. They had it done in less than 2 hours after dropping it off as well.

Great place. I recently purchased a used compact tractor and a day later the tires all seemed to lose about 50% of the air. I called Colony and spoke with Percy, who was very helpful. I brought the tractor in to get checked out figuring I would have to get at least something fixed or replace a tire or two. Percy called me and said all was good, the tires needed a little air, but were pretty good for the foreseeable future. Good, honest people. I ll be back to them if I need something in the future!

I had a blowout on a piece of towable rental equipment today on I64. The rental company called Colony and they dispatched a technician in a reasonable amount of time. He showed up and removed the wheel and dismounted the blowout and installed the new tire on the rim right on the side of the interstate. He worked quickly and was courteous. I'll definitely consider Colony for my future personal and fleet auto service.

Took what seemed abnormally long for anyone to show up to greet me or help as I waited by the front desk. Wanted to get a state inspection but was told they had vehicles in wait all over waiting for one because the person who does inspections was absent from work for 2 days. I'm a veteran still getting used to civilian life, but this seems unprofessional for a business. My first and only experience with this company so I can't help but to rate low.

I was going fishing today and had a blow out on my boat trailer, I put on my spare and it was leaking bad, I limped to Colony Tire and they were so nice and friendly. They put new tires on my trailer and spare, I was in and out in 45 minutes. That was impressive! Thank you guys so much! Good prices also!!!!

Lived here three years- if their technicians do the type of work I need, they get the business exclusively. If I had to use one word to describe this business- trustworthy. Howard, Karen and the service technicians are exceptional across the board. They are certainly the best in all of Hampton Roads and after having lived all across this country, in my opinion represent the best Tire and Repair business in the country. Can't thank them enough for all their hard work on my family's behalf.

Dont get your veichle inspected there at the Newport news colony tire they fail one of the car I took in there by loosen up the upper control arm nut on the ball joint just as I firgure they did 9 and half hrs they put a rejection sticker on it when I got it up there an hr before they open just for them.to rejection it i even ask them.if they lose it up they said they dont do stuff like that really when I took to get reinspected somewhere else found out someone lossen the upper control arm.to fail it its was colony tire u been warn.dint take there

Our church bus full of teenagers broke down on 64 during rush hour. Colony Tire was able to get a technician out to us very quickly. The technician was then able to change two rear tires quickly despite the proximity to the interstate. Colony Tire was such a blessing and they allowed everyone on the bus to get home without too much time lost. Thanks!

This place is great. Everyone was friendly, professional, and the oil change/tire repair was done quite fast. Even though their schedule was packed and overwhelmed, they squeezed my truck in. I m going to go back for sure.

Great place, great service. The only thing I can complain about is that the shop hours are the same as my employer (more of a personal problem I know) & I was able to work that out. I will be recommending them for state inspection to everyone I know

I called to see how long the wait was for a state inspection and they said about an hour, their customer service was awesome, and the wait was truly an hour. Very friendly and helpful. Definitely going back again!
