This was the perfect truck buying experience! We did all of the preliminary paperwork for the credit report ahead of time, we built our vehicle online, Kelsey and Donnie were there to assist when needed.We were contacted when the vehicle arrived at Bowditch, Donnie even offered to come in on his day off to meet us at the dealer. We arrived and were shuffled along in completing the paperwork; everything was ready for us! We are so thankful for the ease and comfort of our experience, everyone we met was friendly and accommodating, thank you grandly!

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Bowditch Ford for car repairs, and I must say, my experience was exceptional from start to finish. After encountering a discouraging interaction with another Ford dealership, I decided to give Bowditch Ford a try and I'm glad I did.Upon reaching out to Bowditch Ford, I was greeted with professionalism and friendliness right from the get-go. Unlike my previous encounter, where I received a rude message and no follow-up, Bowditch Ford promptly answered my call and efficiently scheduled an appointment for my car.During my visit, I was impressed by the courtesy and respect shown by the staff. The service advisor I worked with was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely interested in addressing my concerns. His expertise and trustworthy recommendations instilled confidence in the repair process.Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the service. The work on my car was completed promptly, exceeding my expectations in terms of both quality and speed.

I went to Bowditch in Newport News with a known problem diagnostic from the shop on J Clyde Morris with the solution in hand (Technical Service Bulletin-TSB). The issue was a TSB that the Bowditch Quick Lane shop told me the problem; but could not be fixed at that location. I then made an appointment with the main shop about 2 weeks out. When I followed up the day before the appointment it had been deleted. I then had to make a second appointment to get the work accomplished 2 weeks after that. When I told the service associate about the problem it was like it went in one ear and out the other. Next time I ll make sure the associate repeats back what I told them. The Technical Service Bulletin showed it would take approximately 50 minutes; the truck was there for 5 hours before they did the work. About 2 hours later I showed up and the truck was ready to go. Seven hours after I dropped it off with a known diagnosed problem and a approved Ford fix action. If I had an appointment it would have been about a 6 hour wait time for an appointment that should have taken maybe and hour and half including the paperwork. Not sure if they will follow up, but I figured I d let the public know.

I wanted to share a great customer service experience thanks to Bowditch Ford.I called Mark Rogers (Bowditch's Service Manager) about a transmission question I had. I explained I had taken it into another area Ford Dealer (where I bought the car last year) for a transmission flush, and they said they heard a noise and wanted to tear-down my transmission to identify the issue. If they found a covered issue my warranty would kick in, but if not, I needed to pay for the teardown, the fix, and the cost to put everthing back together again. The kicker was they could give me no information on what they heard or what it could be. They weren't even able to find anything after a $180 diagnosis... but even with the lack of any information, they still wanted me to authorize this expensive tear-down immediately.After calling Mark for a second opinion, he quickly assured me that this would not be money well spent, and to bring the truck in for the flush and he would let me know his teams thoughts. He said without having an issue or hearing anything, I would be best to just hold tight until there was additional conclusive information to determine the cause.Mark was very quick to get back with me, to talk with me about my issue, and to help me make an educated decision. He did not just tell me to schedule an appointment or talk to the reservation team. He took the time to listen to a customer that had some specific questions that only a Ford mechanical specialist could answer.Because of this I would highly recommend Mark and the Bowditch team for all your service and car needs. Mark has earned my future business due to his knowledge and customer service skills.

Went to Bowditch on July 17, 2023 to order a Maverick. I met with Linda Puglisse and we went through the process of placing the order that day. A few weeks later I made a change to the order. They were helpful and gave me an updated order form. I was kept up to date as the truck was made and shipped. When I went in to pick up the truck, it was one of the smoothest purchases made. A week in and I am still loving my truck.Thank you Linda and Bowditch!

Fantastic service from great people who made us feel comfortable right from the start. I had a transmission issue with my truck, I thought it was going to be a big problem and a big bill. I made an appointment with Al, an Air Force Veteran who still displays a strong sense of service. He was very friendly and squared me away, identified the problem as something smaller, gave me a military discount, and got me back in my truck quickly for a fair price. I will definitely bring my truck back here going forward. Thanks!

Amazingly positive experience with the BOWDITCH FORD team! Bill Price and all the other folks there are polite, courteous and highly professional. They took time to be sure everything was correct with the paperwork and the vehicle AND provided all the time to be sure we were totally satisfied. We never felt rushed and were made to feel like VIP customers even though this was our first time with them. Also, the value we received for the price we could pay was very impressive, and was what attracted us to BOWDITCH in the first place. We've bought many cars over the years and we can honestly say the experience we had here is top notch! This dealer is highly recommended for sales and value. We drove over an hour to get to BOWDITCH! Definitely worth the effort!

Al was absolutely wonderful! He was so personable, professional and kind in responding to all of my concerns about my vehicle. I appreciate his honesty and integrity in telling me about which services my vehicle actually didn't need and in making sure that the ones that my vehicle did need were taken care of. The work done to my vehicle was completed within a reasonable amount of time and for an extremely reasonable price. Thanks, Al, for putting me at ease and for outstanding customer service!! :)

I was having some long term problems with my ford and had lost faith. I decided to make an online appointment with Bowditch. I received a call from Kelsy and he allowed me to share all of what I had been through the past few months and told me he was going to share it with the service writer.When I arrived I met Tristen, what a breath of fresh air.He was thorough because he read through the notes and assured me that their mechanics were some of the best and told me my car would be fixed.I have to tell you, his customer service skills and reassurance is what made my experience awesome.I waited in the lobby and my car was ready in an hour. The problem was minimal and I have to tell you, I have never been so surprised.Tristen and the automotive team restored my faith and as I told him, I will do more business with you all in the future and will promote your business to anyone that asks.Again, Thank you for everything!!!

WORST SERVICE! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HEREI took my 2021 Ford F-150 in to get an oil change, my wife had picked it up and drove it home I live less than 1 mile away from the dealership within WALKING DISTANCE ( I can basically see the dealership from my house ) the next morning when I come out to my truck there s a huge Dent on my driver side rear wheel well, I use to work in a dealership for 3 years so I always know to look over my truck before it goes in, I wasn t that made that they had didn t the truck pretty badly, mistakes happened, but no one told me this had happened and when I had called to ask to speak to a manager they told me they were off (which is fine) and I would get a call back, all they had to do was watch the truck on the cameras and follow it to see who or how this was caused, it has now been weeks and I just returned back to the states and by no surprise no emails, no phone calls . Nothing, I m not gonna sit here and fight with them over something that they re obviously trying to cover up or sweep under the rug, DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR INTO THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT

I would HIGHLY recommend finding a different dealership than Bowditch Ford. We purchased a vehicle at the end of September. Today marks 6 months since driving it off of the lot. After all of this time, we still have not received a tag and have been continually mislead about that process along the way.Communication is extremely poor. If you are waiting on them to update you on anything, you have to reach out to them to remind them that you're still waiting for a response or resolution.Our salesperson, Linda Puglisse, was amazing. I would gladly fly back up and drive 9 hours back home to purchase from her again, but not from Bowditch.I wanted to wait to write this review until after we received the tag. I've lost confidence that will ever happen at this point.Sequence of events:September 26, 2023 - Deposit paid after a few days of discussionSeptember 27, 2023 - manager asks for confirmation that I'm coming.- I'm told that if I don't pick up the van by Friday the 29th, my deposit will be refunded and the vehicle will be sold to someone else.September 29, 2023 - I fly from Atlanta to the dealership, sign paperwork and find out that another sales rep had "promised" the vehicle to another customer and that's why the deposit was required and then questioned the next day.- We also discover that the other sales rep had "lost" the other key fob, but Bowditch did pay to replace that fob.November 1, 2023 - I notify Bowditch that the temp tag has expired and we have not received a tagNovember 15, 2023 - I purchase the new fob out of pocket and send the invoice to BowditchDecember 8, 2023 - I notify Bowditch that I still am waiting for a reimbursement for the fob, and the 2nd temp tag has expiredDecember 14, 2023 - I remind Bowditch that I still haven't received reimbursement nor the second temp tag- I'm asked to send a second insurance binder in because the first expired, I responded with it attached the same day.December 19, 2023 - I ask for an update and I'm again requested to send an insurance binder. I remind Bowditch that it was already sent 5 days prior.January 26, 2024 - I ask for an update and request the 4th temp tag- I call and complain to the Sales Manager- I'm told that the Title Clerk is no longer with the company, my insurance binder has once again been lost, and that no paperwork had been filedFebruary 5, 2024 - I once again reach out for an update and am told, "the paperwork is in to work."February 14, 2024 - I check with my DMV, am told that they have not received anything on my vehicle- I check with Bowditch, they claim to have sent paperwork to the state but they "only review it one part at a time and don t send our everything at once"February 23, 2024 - I reach back out to Bowditch, I'm told the same thing as above. "They're the most difficult state to work with." But this time I'm told that they go through a processing vendor and they're the ones giving Bowditch a hard time.February 26, 2024 - I'm asked to fill out a second title application.February 27, 2024 - I return the application to BowditchMarch 14, 2024 - I once again ask for an update.- A new Title Admin responds and lets me know that they would reach out to the processing vendor and would let me know once she heard back from them.- She expects to have the title work finished the following week.March 29, 2024 - You guessed it, I have to request an update- I'm told the state was finally sent the paperwork on Mar 19 and, "I did state that I would let you know when I heard from them which I hadn't yet because I was allowing time for the delivery and processing to begin."- I request the tracking number for the paperwork that was sent to the state- I'm told, "I will follow up with [the vendor] today and with you this afternoon."- Will that happen? I'm guessing I'll be reaching back out on Monday after yet another broken promise, requesting yet another update.

I went in to service my 2016 mustang and left in a 2022 Escape Titanium. These guys are good. They answered all my questions and allowed me to take my time deciding. My situation is odd being that I'm out of state, but they were glad to help. Highly recommend.Thanks! Wife loves the car. Get that mustang a good home!

Had my Explorer five months for a suspension noise. Was lied to multiple times By Mark Rogers. Still have the same issue was never fixed will not return phone calls or emails. Stay away from this place.

My experience with this dealership has not been pleasant. It started when I bought my truck 5 years ago with a very unpleasant delivery experience through the latest service. After over two months of troubleshooting and misdiagnosis, miscommunication , lack of communication, countless calls to management, close to 2 weeks of vehicle in the shop, the issue is finally resolved (I believe), Although, there are missing trim clips and a damaged kick panel. I ve attempted to address these with the dealership but the service advisor won t return my call after 2 weeks. I m not a fan.

Car service was good. Suggest you train customer service reps better. Young guy that checked me in repeatedly called me "buddy". Additionally I dropped my car off at 0800 and he took my phone number to call when ready, but never called. I returned at 1300hrs and he told me it was ready by 0900 (but no call or text). Wasted my morning expecting a call.After returning at 1300 and while I was paying, another customer arrived and your customer service guy addressed that person as Mr. Long. Yes Mr Long, thanks Mr. Long, etc, however, he kept calling me "Buddy". "Here you go, Buddy" "Thanks, Buddy". It was a small thing and unrelated to the actual service to my car, but it was very irritating. Not sure I'll return if your staff keeps calling me Buddy.Thanks.

Went to Bowditch Ford after a bad experience elsewhere was made to feel welcomed, these two worked a miracle and was able to deliver exactly what we requested! I do not own a Ford, but I did use their detailing services for a deep clean of my car. My spouse had used them before for the same detailing service on our other car and it came out beautiful, so I thought I could trust them to do a high quality job, especially considering the price of the detailing ($169.00). However, I was extremely disappointed not only with detailing, which seemed half complete and lazily done, but also the rude customer service which left me leaving feeling almost ashamed to have brought the car in at 0700, despite being told the Friday prior it was perfectly fine for me to drop it off at the dealership first thing Monday morning. I will not be using their services again.

I would give a 3.5 if I could because the customer service was awesome. Review below...Pros:The personal interaction with all the parties were very fantastic. Every time a phone call or a face-to-face interaction happened, Tristan (and Mark, the Service Team manager), were not only professional but also courteous and it was always a pleasure speaking with them. They were always willing to not only explain what the issue might be, but even what the potential root cause was.Cons:1). It took almost a month to get my car back as they had problems diagnosing what the problem was.Which brings me to...2). Due to the fact that they had sooo many cars they were working on at the time, all of their loaners were out. So I had to rent a vehicle for the 1st weekend out-of-pocket (they have never offered to pay me back). That next week, they were finally able to get me a vehicle from Hertz, which I appreciated. I hope that, in the future, the Service Team will have enough loaners to assist their customers or at the very least, will get a rental car to their dealership for their customers to use once the Service Team find out the vehicle will be with them longer than anticipated.My final suggestion:When the Service Team is aware that a long-term stay of the customers vehicle with them is warranted, to either have a loaner available or a rental at time of drop-off.

I called the service department at Bowditch Ford to request an appointment to get my 2019 Ford Expedition Max looked at for an issue that's been happening intermittently with the transmission during deceleration. It had previously been fixed at another dealership and the problem happened multiple times that day, which was much more often than usual, so I was hoping they'd actually be able to experience it. The service manager Al told me to bring it in the following morning so that he could look at the paperwork and see what had been done to it in the past. Go figure it drove perfectly on the way there but they decided to keep the truck and check it out for me. They gave me a ride home because they didn't have any loaner cars available and kept the truck until late afternoon the following day. During that time they took it for 3 test drives (19 miles total), hooked it up and ran diagnostics (nothing pinged), and did a surface physical inspection to check to see if anything was loose that could be causing the issue (there wasn't anything). Unfortunately the issue we've been having is a big clunky downshift between what we think is 2nd and 1st gear that you can both hear and feel because it makes the vehicle rock, and it's a physical/mechanical problem. I understand that short of overhauling the transmission (again) they aren't going to be able to find the source of it, and that they can't just overhaul the transmission without experiencing the problem themselves. It's so frustrating because it's intermittent and completely random when it seems to happen. I understand their limitations when it comes to fixing it though. That aside, the customer service I received at Bowditch Ford was nothing short of amazing. The manager Mark called me the following morning to update me on their progress before they were done inspecting everything. They washed the truck while they had it and delivered it to my house when they were finished! In a time where customer service seems to be lacking everywhere you look, this was a wonderful surprise. I can't recommend them enough. I will definitely be going back for round 2 in hopes that they can experience our wonderful clunky shift the second time around haha. Thank you so much to the service manager Al, manager Mark, and Angie (who scheduled my delivery). You were all amazing!
