My husband and I slid down the side of a mountain hitting a tree while out of town. Thomas Towing came to recover our truck. During a scary time for me, they were very hospitable with their concern, warm-hearted friendliness! Trish and Jeff are all around great people! No star. So I'm at west side market with a dead battery. Their driver is there on the phone for 20 min. I ask for a jump and he tells me no. Seriously? These guys are the last people to ever call for any reason, period.

Would never recommend this place if you need your car towed EVER. My boyfriend hit a deer last week and had to have the car towed. It s been over a week since it s been there. Got a call from our insurance provider saying they have been trying to contact there office phones everyday all week since it was towed there and have been unable to get a hold of anyone. It s like no one works here at all. Now it s almost the weekend and they will be closed so now we are going on 2 weeks now. This is so unprofessional. Will be going down there Monday in person first thing when they open. I recommend calling any other towing company other than this company. I ve found several reviews left stating almost the same story and very rude responses from the so called owner . Can t wait to meet her Monday.Service: Car towing

So when my husband's sister died in a car accident, we called the state police to see where her car was. The name given to us, wasn't the name of the place. This place has I believe 2 names that I knew but a 3rd from which the state police told us. This caused us to think the car was missing basically. However Trish returned my call and confirmed the car was at one of their lots. From the negative reviews on this place, you would think its horrible. It's really not. When you have an attitude, or you think you don't have to pay for anything, I get your frustration. However how do you think these companies make their money? Work for free? Cleaning up hours at a time, from the accidents. These people have a job I hope I never have to do. If you do what they ask, like make an appointment, call leave a message, give them time to call you back. Then you will most likely get a positive response. I enjoyed talking to Trish on the phone. Thank you for everything.

Our boat trailer tire flew off on the weekend... And they came to rescue right away....It was a very difficult tow but they brought multiple trucks and people and didn't hesitate to help direct traffic alsoThey also stored my boat until parts arrived for trailerThey will be the only tow company I recommend!!! I recommend 1,000%!!! Thomas towing was the ONLY COMPANY that could tow my Special vehicle towing . They really went out their way to help get my car in a safe place after having a accident. Their quality, care, and customer service WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! They will be the only towing company I work with! My son hit a deer. The guy was super nice but come Monday my insurance company is getting the run around. Fees are ridiculous and still the insurance company can't get to the car to even assess the damage being told it is a total loss. There were no fluids leaking and it was towed with no problem but now all of a sudden it can't be towed. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.Service: Car towing

Thomas Towing & Recovery made an unpleasant experience a lot less unpleasant for us. They were quick to respond; the operator was very competent, careful and efficient; they were up front about the fee (which was significantly less than I expected) and they moved my disabled vehicle from a parking lot to my home without a hitch. Good luck getting a returned call or even someone to answer when you call in reguards to your vehicle they towed....Trish is hateful and manages to find a way to keep everyones vehicle longer than needed. When your ready to go pick your vehicle up she says they're not there or something.They are rude as ever i could go on and on about them and what they do to people but, ill just leave it a 1 start rating and wish i could rate it at a 0. Also says opened 24 hours. No your not... if your opened 24 hours then i can come get my vehicle any time of day.Service: Car towing

I called for Thomas Towing because they are family owned and based out of my home town. They arrived quickly and treated my daughter and I with the utmost respect. The price and quality of work and service are far better than any I ve seen. I have and will recommend Thomas Towing and Recovery to all I know. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.

BAD experience from the get go. I hit a deer with my truck and the sheriff called a tow for me. I was given a card by the wrecker company named To Tow, Inc. When my insurance company tried to call several times, no one answered or returned phone calls. Magic City and another tow company called to make arrangements to have the truck towed to Roanoke and experienced the same. A Google search didn't pull up any results for a tow company in the area named To Tow, Inc but my wife saw the name of a Thomas Towing and realized they were the same company. Trish definitely not polite and said she never received messages from 3 different companies. Would not recommend this towing service.

Thomas towing come out and moved multiple of our vehicles. They showed up early and were very professional, kind and friendly. Charged me a great price for moving several vehicles. Highly recommended for your towing jobs thank you!

I was involved in a major car accident and had to be transported by ambulance and this company took the time to gather my belongings that were in the wrecked vehicle and mail them to me free of charge. I would ve lost so many important items if not for their thoughtful help. I definitely recommend their services. I was so out of it while stuck in the hospital for a week and they took the time and effort to make sure that I had one less thing to worry about. I cannot thank them enough!Service: Car towing

Trish was extremely rude & unprofessional from the start. I was having trouble hearing her over the phone so I politely asked her to repeat herself... that's when I heard her mumbling under her breath about how she "didn't have time to deal with this today" etc... I was asking simple questions to get info so I could come to get my car... that's it. I wasn't being a difficult customer & was polite the entire time.. also, the first day I callled she said one thing, then I called the next day to make arrangements to pick my car up & she tells me something completely different. This lady should not be dealing with the public if she can't give correct info & answer simple questions without getting an attitude. I'm not one to leave reviews about a place, much less bad reviews but this was beyond ridiculous.

The experience with this company was a nightmare, stay away from it and also To Tow, Inc., they are the same. If you do not want to be ripped off or yelled at, choose other companies.I am an international student at Virginia Tech pursuing a Ph.D. degree. I went for a hiking at McAfee Knob on a Saturday. When I got back I realized my car was towed. This company charged me around $500 for 20 miles towing distance. After I talked with other folks whose car also got towed, they only got charged around $200. When I asked Trish why charging me that much, she started to yelling at me and threatened to charge me more. When I finally got to my car, I realized they scratched my new car. I tried to talk with her, again, she was yelling at me saying they take responsibility for nothing.After consulting with lawyer, I learning according to Virginia code 46.2-1233.1, the maximum amount of fee they can charge me on weekend is $180, I think that is why they refuse to provide me with an itemized receipt even I asked for it several times.To the owner, I wish you have a better explanation to attorney general s office other than the blatant intimidation made to me.Service: Car towing

After being in my first accident, a nervous mess on the side of a busy road after dark- waiting for what seemed like an eternity for the police to decide which district I was in, a gentleman (Justin, I believe) stopped on his way home from work, in his company tow truck. He stayed with me, talked to me in the calmest of fashions, talked to my insurance company because I was a jumbled mess.. He offered to take my car a short way up the road so I didn't have to wait for my insurance to arrange for a vehicle, gave me his card and told me to give them a call in the morning. I called and spoke to a wonderfully sweet woman named Trish, she talked me through the next steps and checked on my well being.. I honestly could not be happier/more grateful with this company and the individuals that work there. Thank you all for being there for me during the scariest time of my life and making things easier all around. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

I am extremely pleased that I asked Trish & Jeff to tow my Honda Pilot to the shop. I would have done more damage trying to drive it. I highly reccomend calling them for any towing &/or recovery needs you may have.THANK YOU GUYS AGAIN SO MUCH. I WILL CONTINUE TO THANK YOU.

Driver was very knowledgeable and extremely nice and very careful with my toolbox he treated it like it was his own will definitely call this company back and request him how ever the dispatcher lady doesn't seem to know what she is doing and is somewhat rude on the phone over all great company just needs a new dispatcher or further training and a customer skills class

Our experience with this company was nothing short of a nightmare. If you got towed here, watch out. It is nearly impossible to get your car.
