My dad took his 03 Monte car for a transmission rebuild at 119,000 miles transmission fully went out at 140,000 miles. Do not take your car here since he had it rebuilt had multiple problems with it I had to take it back several times. I ll never recommend this place to anyone and highly recommend you guys don t take your car there to have a transmission replaced. owner Jerry is disrespectful straight rob me and my dad this place needs to be shut down for bad business. I m calling the Better Business Bureau this week

I was having a shudder on acceleration with my 2020 edge. We took it to Crossroads Ford because we had the extended warranty. Come to find out the warranty ran out and they were quoting me $5900 for a new transmission. We were recommended River Ridge by a friend and called they were able to get us in right away. We received a call a few days later explaining that they didn t think it needed a new transmission but that the fluid needed to be replaced. They replaced the fluid and the car runs like it did when I bought it. I highly recommend these guys as they are honest and reasonable!Service: Transmission

River Ridge Automotive rebuilt my transmission for my 2019 Chevrolet Suburban.I will not go off on a tangent about Chevy transmissions as I should save that for another review Jerry and Sam rebuilt the transmission at a fair price and provided a two year warranty on their work.Fast forward to a week ago and I was made aware the transmission would shudder when trying to engage.I called Jerry and Sam and they were able to get me in asap.After dropping the transmission pan and finding no metal shavings they topped off fluids and had me on my way with a continued guarantee that if I had further problems to come back. No charge.I was very thankful for Jerry and Sam because in this day in age I was not given a line about parts being covered but labor being excluded.Great people and quality work they are willing to stand behind.If you are in need of transmission services give them a call at River Ridge Automotive.

UPDATE: Am changing my review from 4-1 star. Had trans repaired. Had to take it back to them after 6 months due to slipping had them redo and then they didn't even put the trans back together properly. Shifter won't go into the proper position to move vehicle. Even tho I'm under warranty I'm afraid to take my vehicle back up there for them to mess up more. Then on top of that, they tried to charge me for a transflush when they had to do that anyway to repair other issues they caused from the begging. Do not go here. They are nice but that's a cover up!

Transmission went in my wife's car tool it to a place I will not name tried to get over on me. Found this place got my car Friday Transmission done car back the following Wednesday. Also got a military discount, great service and not 1 issue.

Jerry has been a printing customer of mine for over a year and has repaired two of our family cars. We have a 1999 Mercury Sable that had been having shifting problems before I new Jerry we had taken it to another shop and they replaced the speed shifting sensor. The car drove and shifted fine for about a week then would not up shift out of first gear. We had spent quite a lot of money to have it fixed and became disgusted with the situation and just let the car sit in the driveway for about a year. I knew that something electrical was wrong with the car and when I got to know Jerry I had him take a look at it. He was able to fix it by simply pushing in the speed sensor clip until it snapped into place. The other mechanic failed to simply lock the electrical connector into place and tug on the wire to make sure it was seated properly. We were very happy because we were expecting to hear that it was going to be some expensive repair and all it was was a loose wire.He also repaired the transmission in my daughters Ford Explorer. The torque converter bearing was going out and making all kinds of grinding noises. He was able to replace the torque converter at a very reasonable price without having to do a complete transmission overhaul.Jerry's wife Erin is great to work with and she helped me today jump start my car when my battery died making a delivery at their shop.

Jerry is a pro. Great transmission service on my '67 Mustang with a problematic C4 automatic (no reverse and slipping out of high gear). He stayed a little later one day so I could drop it off, and he first tried to find a simple (and cheaper) fix to see if band adjustments or a vacuum modulator would solve the issues. It turned out I needed a rebuilt transmission, but Jerry found a bad pump and some other worn out parts that should have been replaced the last time the C4 was rebuilt a few years before (this had caused a premature failure). At any rate, even with the extra parts, his price was still better than the national chains. Seriously, look at all the reviews on Angie's List--good work, good prices, good communication--what's not to like? This guy is the real deal. I will be back with my other vehicles for sure.

The guys are honest and professional.I've been there a handful of times. A couple of times I left my car and a few times I waited while they squeezed me in. I like how they fully explain what repairs are needed right away and what can wait.

Jerry and the staff at River ridge where incredible, I have no experience in vehicles and calling around can be tricky since I ve had my share of bad experiences, when I made my appointment and expressed my transmission concerns, they where quick to set me up, they called to let me know their findings and once my car was done, they where quick, efficient and precise and their customer service was at a another level, super friendly and made me feel comfortable at All times, they made sure I understood what was going on with my vehicle and they are very reasonable with their prices as well...
