My husband bought a car from them, a Honda CR-v 2024 with 2 thousand miles, when it was time to sell everyone was very friendly, 1 week after the purchase my car had a problem with the gearbox, we were left without a car, we were without a car, they didn't even care. let me know if we needed anything done, my husband left a message in the seller's message box, he said he was out of town. If I had bought my car at Toyota, where I received good service and where they always called me to see if I needed anything, in the end I would be very disappointed and left alone.

I'd like to give a shout out to service manager James Howie. Every time I have needed service he goes the extra mile and works really hard at getting my problem or my maintenance issue finished in a prompt and thorough manner. He is friendly and courteous and always professional.

I called the place just to make an appointment. Someone picks up the phone and asks me what i need, so i tell them i need to make an appointment. They say, "okay one moment" and then i hear hold music. Then the exact same thing happens. Rinse and repeat for 30 minutes before i begged them to please help me get in touch to make an appointment and they had someone on the phone instantly. Their schedule was wide open and now i know why. I waited for 2.5 hours in their shoddy waiting room and they were about to close soon so i decided to ask about my car. They had finished the service over an hour ago and didn't even bother to notify me via speaker system or even call me or text me or walk over to me and speak to me, they just figured I'd ask at some point. So i wasted an extra hour for nothing. The person i met with when i got there was vague and rude. I read these reviews but dismissed them due to prior experiences but after analyzing their nearly empty car lot and the lack of customers, it really painted a picture for me. It seems everyone there slacks off and their customer service is just awful. I'm never going back. Don't do what i did; just stay away. I'm sure they'll go out of business soon enough.UPDATE: Tried to go to work this morning and not even 300ft out the driveway, my vehicle throttles down the power, won't let me accelerate, and numerous lights came on.Services: Transmission, Auto battery replacement, Auto exhaust system repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto battery maintenance, A/C installation & repair, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement

Met a few wonderful employees and a couple not so wonderful. Just a couple of larger sized arrogant guys that didn't want to assist me with any help. I finally got help from a couple of nice girls and a nice guy in parts. I told them my husband and I had just moved there, and we had dealt with Honda for around 30 years. We trade in every 3 years or so, but at our age now, we planned to hang on to what we have now. Thank goodness the guy was able to help us and get us on our way.

The service dept here is fantastic. This was my first taking my car there . They are so friendly and it runs so smoothly . I had them do my safety inspection while I was there . I could have gotten it done at no charge at the other Honda dealership in Richmond. But I decided I would rather pay Pearson than go through what I have gone through the in last two times at the other place .Services: Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance

find a better local shop. with two broken locks, i was told one door lock would be $500 to replace and the other would be $83. before i could even ask he told me he could not, and would not, explain why there was a price difference like that. he said that is the quote, and take it or leave it, he did not give any reason beyond that. if theres a valid reason, fine, but dont call me 30 min before you close and say youre not going to explain it.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I would have given more stars but I feel 3 stars is justified.I first took my vehicle to the dealership I purchased it from, not Pearson Honda, and they told me the issue they found. I took my vehicle to another shop, did not tell them what the issue was I was told in case they went by that and said that was the issue. They did their own inspection and they said the same issue the dealership did. I then took my vehicle to Pearson Honda service center and asked them to diagnose without telling them what I had been told two previous times, and they said the same issue the other two did. So I went with "majority rules" and asked pearson honda to fix it. Well within a month the issue returned. I took my vehicle back to Pearson Honda thinking it was warrantied work. Well turns out it was something else. I took the vehicle back home and to another shop and did a second opinion in case. The second opinion told me it was the issue Pearson Honda found. Pearson told me what the amount to be that would fix it and I was pretty upset. The first repair was supposed to have fixed the issue, and now I have to pay more? But because it was a different part, I had to pay. So I did. Well within 3 to 4 days the issue returned. I gave it a few more days to be absolutely positive I was giving all new parts time to lubricate and adjust. When that didn't work, I called service department and was able to speak to the manager. He said they would find the problem and fix it if I could just give them a few days and I would not pay for a thing. True to his word the issue was fixed and at no cost to me.The three stars is because the issue was supposed to have been fixed with the first repair, then I had to pay again because of a different issue.Great service, just not happy with having to essentially pay more for a repair that was supposed to have been fixed the first time around.

I came in for an oil change and state inspection. Left with a bill for 1600 dollars. They use predatory tactics to convince you to add on services without being clear about what these services will cost. A lot of the cost for my bill was for tires but the costs for labor are WAY overpriced. One of the technicians was especially rude and talked down to me when I asked for an explanation. One of their office employees had to tell him to stop and be nice it was so egregious. He offered a free detailing as compensation for my bad experience. I will never come back for maintenance purely for how I was treated alone not just for the overcharging. I bought a vehicle previously from this dealership and I will NEVER buy from here again.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

This used to be a respectable location.. Not anymore. The Service department has completely fallen apart. Good luck trying to reach someone or have someone return your call. I had a one day job turned into a 6 day nightmare because The auto technicians & Service Managers wouldn't show up to work. I've been trying to voice my concerns for about 3 weeks now and no one will return my call. If you have to make your way into a Honda dealership avoid this location by all means!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've been a customer for years with this location for all of the services for my car but I've noticed how the customer service has steadily gotten worse over the years! My last visit was for an oil change and I watched the staff on the computers and going through paperwork for at least 5 minutes before I was acknowledged and a line had formed behind me. Then when I was addressed they acted as if it was a problem if the could check if they could do an oil change because I didn't have an appointment. Then when I checked the status after waiting for over an hour. I was informed they needed to put it in the system to which took over 10 minutes! Again I wasn't informed my paperwork went to the cashier but when I checked the cashier was rude and acted as if I was an inconvenience to her! Then tells me I needed to wait for her to invoice me! Again another 10 minutes of waiting! Not sure thier process of getting work in the system and invoicing but never had to wait over 20 minutes for this to happen after my car was ready to go!! Going somewhere else for work on my car!Service: Oil change

Their service was pretty quick. I got a fair price on an oil and filter change due to coupon available online. Was not charged for any unexpected extras. Their waiting room was comfortable. Did not get a lot of pressure to purchase unwanted or unneeded services.

I'm from Richmond and used to go to West Broad Honda and then I found this place. Way better than West Broad street! Very knowledgeable and friendly stuff and got all my repairs done within time. Big shoutout to service manager John who went above and beyond his way to arrange for a free rental for me as the repair was taking more time than expected. Highly recommend this place!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

Took my car in for oil change, tire rotation and inspection. Nobody ever notified me that my car was ready. When I went to pick up my car nobody could find my keys for like 20 minutes. They also were supposed to do complimentary car wash and didn t and both times I got my oil changed they didn t calibrate my car so my low pressure indicator comes on a few days later. Do better Honda!

Would not recommend. Had a 1 pm appt time and didnt get out until 430 for a routine rotation of rotors. Servcies reps also very friendly or customer service oriented. The waiting areas were fairly comfortable but no water or vending machines available

I took my car in for an oil change on July 8th. My backup camera was working fine before I took my car in for an oil change. I honestly believe that my camera was swapped out, my visual is not the same.I don't trust the service department after I discovered that my backup camera wasn't the same. July 20th was the earliest appointment that the dealership could give me. When I requested to go in the service area with my car the service department manager told me that wasn't going to happen. He looked at my backup visual and told me that's how it is supposed to be. I told him that he must think that I am stupid because that's not how my visual from my backup camera looked before I brought my car in for an oil change and the camera itself looks different. I purchased my car brand new last year.

I have been taking my '07 accord in for routine maintenance since 2012 when I bought my car. It had 20k miles on it. Today, I take it to another shop just for a state inspection. They call me and tell me the engine air and cabin filters are so filthy they are "impacted". The dealer tells me they are supposed to replace those every 20-25k miles. My car now has 87k miles on it and they never changed them even once. I usually get the scheduled maintenance items done when they bring them to my attention. The guy I was talking to in the service dept basically had no answer for me and was passing the buck to "my" so called service manager. Tell you something? I am not at all pleased. I have decided that my wife and I will never bring our cars back to you ever again. We bought my wife's car from you as well. Never again. I hope a couple of air filters were worth it. Overreacting? Nope.. If you can't handle a couple of air filters, what else is being missed that is more critical? Not the first time I have made a complaint about service not being done thoroughly . I am sorry to say that I have lost confidence in this dealership.

I have a 2004 Honda Odyssey that has a manufacturer defect that causes the motor mounts to easily crack. I took my van in for an inspection and, of course, it did not pass. They should be able to see the pattern, but they won't admit to it. No cars in the lot which is not entirely their fault. Customer service was better before Covid.

Take my Ridgeline here for service and am always pleased with the results. They get the job done right and fast! I usually drop it off overnight and normally before lunch the next day they have it ready for me.

Last year Honda Pearson installed a brand new a/c system in my car for $1300 that failed completely. Apparently, the warranty only covered the first 12 months, and I was outside the window. This time they "gave me a deal" charging me $1750 after having to negotiate down from $1900. When I asked what reassurance I had that I wouldn't be back here next year needing another new a/c, I was told "we only guarantee 12 months." I asked if there was an option to extend this warranty and was told no. A complete joke. If Honda Pearson has no faith in its work, why should I? Really sad to see the quality of Honda continue to tailspin. At least it makes my next car buying decision that much easier. Subaru it is.Service: A/C installation & repair

Chris Arnold provided an absolutely outstanding level of service and professionalism! He, along with the top-notch service that I received, will definitely make me a customer for life. After the experiences that I have received from other dealerships, Pearson has shown themselves to be considerably superior in every aspect of service, and in actually valuing their customers. Thank you again Chris!!

Had an appointment for a simple oil change and waited for 2 hours and 20 minutes after my appt time. They did apologize but disappointed that I arrived before my appt time and had to wait that long for a routine simple maintenance.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Competitive on cost except for those times American Honda forces them to overcharge for parts, this is not your typical "dealer service department." Fast. Thorough. Trustworthy. Responsible - Pearson stands behind its work.

the service department is awful. 5 hours for an oil change and state inspection. asked that the car not run through car wash , but they did it any way.. then, you go to pick up the vehicle with no one in front of you and think you must be invisible , way too long for assistance.called to speak to the manager and no return call.Service: Oil change

Pearson Honda Service is excellent. I did my research and Pearson Honda was actually cheaper than other places and I got Honda parts with a good warranty. Will in the service department work with me to schedule my appointment. The personal service and recommendations were excellent. I own two Honda vehicles and recommend to any Honda owner to used Pearson Service Department.

Always quick and reliable! They don't nickel and dime you and try to find things that need to be replaced just to make a buck. They are super professional and awesome to work with.
