Shop rate is excessive. needed a software update Land Rover Richmond was going to charge me $225 and told me the update would take the tech a full hour to go from 14.0 to version 20.2. Called Land Rover telephone support and they performed an over the air update took 5 minutes on a steady wifi network 5 minutes no charge. Sorry Land Rover Richmond. you lost business on all three of my cars my 2019 L405 SC, my daughters 2012 L322 SC and my wife s 2021 RR Velar.

Great cars, I have driven Rovers 20+ years but service has declined terribly and my most recent experience has lost me as a customer. Car was kept for over a month and still not right. Service department treated me a hair above rude

I am highly disappointed with the service they provided yesterday, after spending hundreds and thousands of dollars. You guys are taking it as granted, because there is no authorized dealer near by.I didn t find a right person to talk about service because everyone clams that they belong to sales so I ll report this to Land Rover directly so that at least future customers will get a proper service.I have uploaded few pictures, Please zoom the pictures.I had multi point inspection and repaired a major coolant issue. Few problems inside has not addressed and this is how it looks from outside I am not sure what happened to Range Rover letters on hood.It doesn t bother me too clean this up but why should I have to after paying so much money wow.

My first visit, drove over from Charlottesville. Was greeted immediately, my problem was taken care of, quickly, and communication was excellent. Will be back, 100% would recommend. Thanks to Michael Belcher and his team.

Went to Land Rover of Richmond for a test drive of a 2020 Range Rover Sport. The first salesman I met was Ron. He was very helpful and amazingly efficient at getting me behind the wheel. I gotta say I loved the way the Range Rover Sport drove. I drove the HSE with the 355hp motor. It s hard to imagine why anyone would need any more power, as it was very quick as it was. Definitely received 5 star customer service at Land Rover of Richmond.

Just stopped by to get a price for my used Land Rover. Big sign on Midlo turnpike that they beat CarMax offers. The offer was $3,000 less than CarMax. GM would not give me the offer in writing. When pressed for the offer in writing, he said that he did not want to buy the vehicle. Asked for owner information and was told to do my own research. I ve purchased 4 Land Rover vehicles but have never been able to buy one locally because they are so much more expensive here than other dealerships in Alexandria and NC. The GM/Finance manager will kill this dealership. I m sure that ownership would not appreciate the way that he conducts business. Amazing vehicles but you should avoid buying them in Midlothian. Other dealerships, including Alexandria, will treat you fairly, give you much better pricing and deliver the vehicle to your driveway.

If your black the black rep will make you feel beneath her. I was suppose to go back that following Monday, but I didn't go back. And I haven't had a call. But I am in the market for a vehicle but it will not be at Land Rover at least not the one on Midlothian Turnpike

Highly disappointed at the customer service. Here s why Finally found and bought my dream Range Rover, at another dealership unfortunately. But was eager to be apart of the Range Rover family. To my surprise, when I called to set up service, relations, and possibly get a tutorial on servicing and caring for my elite Range Rover I was met with a service rep (who shall remain anonymous) that since they did not sell me the vehicle they would NOT take time from the sales floor to give their newly, highly excited, hopefully life long customer the time of day. Nor could I set up an appointment to learn the maintenance needs of my vehicle. It s a beautiful v8 supercharged sport Range Rover and for a luxury vehicle I m highly unimpressed with customer service Range Rover of Richmond has shown.

NEVER take your business here. I recently bought a car and attempted to have it serviced at this dealership. I had to call multiple times before I was even able to talk to anyone in the service department. When I did finally reach someone, I was told that the issue was not something that needed to be addressed. Additionally, I was only given one key when I first got the car due to a chip shortage, so I was told I was owed a key at some point. The dealership told me that I was eligible for a key so when I brought that up to the service person here, he said that I would have to cover that cost as we don t just give out keys here . I then proceeded to still try to schedule an appointment and was told I could bring my car in during the first week of April (9 weeks away). I then called another dealership and was able to schedule my car for service next week. The service department at this dealership is pathetic and rude and should not receive anyone s business.

I have been waiting a lifetime to switch from BMW to my dream Range Rover! Unfortunately, my newly purchased vehicle had to be serviced while out of town during the holidays. Luckily, I had already set an appt 5 days prior to have it looked at. Therefore, when my vehicle shut down I had it towed to the dealership and waited for my original appt which was perfect. I was very understanding that the dealership was short staffed so I wasn t expecting my vehicle to be assessed immediately however, at the very least on the appt I had previously set! As time went on I called to check my vehicle and I was told they weren t aware they had my vehicle and couldn t find the key! Once I went down and located the key from where the tow company left it (w/vehicle) I waited days and heard nothing back. It took me physically going to the location and having my vehicle towed and diagnosed SAME DAY elsewhere!! I was currently in a rental that was adding up daily $700+ Not to mention the tows. I am more upset at the casual atmosphere and how the dealership was not eager to assist and could care less that I was going though it. A gentleman named Scott helped and at least cared a little along with a guy on his cigarette break outside assisted the tow driver!! He was of more help than the inside staff!!! Needless to say, I miss BMW customer service! I never had an issues and my fianc� has a Mercedes and the service is top notch! With luxury vehicles we put out a lot for a product and at the very least I hoped we could have received EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I hate that this is the only one in RIC. The name and service definitely don t match the Brand!#Disappointed

The experience was simple and professional! I ordered floor mats for a 2019 Land Rover, signed the card use authorization and paid by phone! I was also informed the shipping would be fairly quick! Hailey was pleasant, precise, and professional!

I was very disappointed in the service when I took my jaguar to get serviced I was told I need new tires and two weeks before hand I purchased a set of tires and rims they also tried to charge me 1200 dollars for a set of brakes and my local mechanic shop priced the job for 350 dollars

This place has gone way down hill in recent years. The service has gone from professional, courteous and thoughtful to rude, dismissive, and condescending. Land Rovers are known for their issues and we ve had our share but now we dread having to call the service department. It s impossible to get a loaner and they don t seem to even want to provide the service to fix what is wrong. My wife was told not to worry about a broken feature on our LR4 even though a warning light is glowing every time you turn it on. They kept the car all day and didn t even run the diagnostics to tell us what is wrong. So no loaner, no fix, no idea what is wrong, and no car I d stay as far away from this place as possible. We will definitely never buy here again.

This was my second visit. The first was a vehicle check up. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. My second visit, I dropped my vehicle off and did not realize that they would be keeping it. Robert, the manager made sure someone transported me home eventhough they were short staff. Jeff kept me updated regarding the status until the car was fixed.

Horrible service, You spend over 100K for a vehicle and then they forget how to treat you. On 2 separate occasions, I have called service to schedule an appt for a recall fix. All service writers are busy but they take my number and promise to call me back. Not once have I received a call back, they rely on being the only dealership in town mentality. Last month I stopped in to schedule an inspection, I was told to busy and could not get to it for 4-6 weeks. Ridiculous, I went to an independent and got it done in 3 days.

I would never deal with this dealership EVER AGAIN!!! I called to order a part I was told I had to pay to order the part this surprised me because Mercedes never does this. Called back a couple of days later to order the part was told I could not pay for the part because they don t take card numbers over the phone. The part was ordered without having to pay first which set things back a week because of the wrong information! The parts person that helped me apparently no longer worked there by now so if cards were not allowed over the phone, what was he planning on doing with my card number? I talked to service and got a quote on programming and installation. I was told service will call to schedule when the part arrives. I got a voicemail the part was in and I called back to schedule a service appointment. Now this floored me I was told they would not program the part or work on the vehicle because of the year. WOW!!! I called LAND ROVER VA BEACH they will do the work no matter the year! Needless to say NEED A LAND ROVER DEALER BY PASS RICHMOND DRIVE FURTHER IF YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH A COMPANY THAT VALUE ALL CUSTOMERS NOT JUST THE ONES OWNING CERTAIN YEARS!!

Bought a brand new car and have had nothing but problems out of it. The guys in the service department are rude and condescending. They ve had my car for 3 MONTHS .not due to parts delays and supply chain but because the wrong part was ordered and then the right one was broken..I ve not been called ONCE for an update. I ve had to call for all updates. Finally complained when I hate to do that and it s the FINANCE MANAGER that is following up. I called with a complaint about the service department and the service writer and the SERVICE MANAGER hasn t even reached out to me to speak to me or update me about the vehicle. I m sorry I ever bought this car. I m done with the brand and this dealership. I ll NEVER own another Land Rover, Range Rover or Jaguar. They re junk.

My experience with Jeb and John was one of the best car buying adventures I've ever had. Straight forward discussion, which I always appreciate, a high standard of customer service and they addressed all my questions and concerns. They never pressured or badgered me to "Buy Now" and were very understanding when my husband and I decided not to proceed with the purchase on our first visit. I went from window shopping to purchasing in 4 days. The entire experience at Jaguar Land Rover Richmond is one of the main factors that finalized our decision to buy. Of course the vehicle had a lot to do with it. But I can purchase a vehicle anywhere and I chose to do business here. And I would do it again!! Thank you Jeb and John!

I came in for assistance with removing the previous owner of my Discovery that I purchased and registering the vehicle under my Land Rover Account. It was like pulling teeth getting anyone to genuinely want to help me. Finally one person went out of their way to at least log on my account to get the registration finalized. When I move to the Richmond area, which will be soon, I'll never come back. I understand that I didn't purchase the vehicle there but they certainly lost a future customer when I plan on buying another vehicle in the next few months. I also felt very out of place and did not feel welcomed there. Oh and if my vehicle needs repairs this will be the last place I come to. Beware because if you don't look "rich" and old they will treat you like a nuisance and garbage.

My experience attempting to purchase a new 2020 Evoque at this location did not end well - to say the least. Long story follows.....I drove here on a Sunday (knowing they were closed) to walk the lot and look at the vehicles on site without having to talk to someone and set up a customer profile. I was comparing the Land Rover vs. other sub compact luxury SUV's in the area. The Evoque model is what I was leaning towards and why not - its a sharp looking vehicle.After looking at the new vehicles I wondered off into the Mitsubishi area and noticed a nice looking 2020 Evoque that had a sales price of $46,995 because it had almost 10,000 miles on it. I liked the color so I decided to go home and look at it online. To my surprise, I could not find it listed so I figured it was sold already or on hold for someone else. A couple of weeks go by and after looking at several other brands something kept bringing me back to the Land Rover. So made an appointment to come in on a Tuesday - got confirmation from the sales person that Tuesday would work. Would do a test drive, etc.I ended up actually deciding to go early to the appointment. I showed up on a Monday, the last day of the month thinking it may put me in a good spot to negotiate because the dealership may have to close another sale to meet their sales goal. Plus it was the last day for 0% interest.Meet up with the sales person - who said a few times they were happy I came in today instead of tomorrow. Went inside, set up profile, scanned driver's license, etc. Told the person I was looking for a Evoque First Edition...blah, blah,blah. Another sales person hears this and yells out that the First Edition is a "Demo." It didn't dawn on me then what that actually meant but I still wanted to drive it. So we go outside and the sales person says they need to move some vehicles around to get the First Edition out so I can test drive it. - It was at this point I realized the First Edition was the vehicle I looked at 3 weeks before. I started to get excited because the First Edition is fully loaded and I remembered this one had a sales price on it that I really happy with.Test drive - all well. Park next to a brand new Evoque to compare it with. Obviously, the new one still smelled new, where the one I test drove did not. Ok no big deal - I felt it was a good deal. Used in a sense that it had almost 10,000 miles on it but it hadn't been purchased yet. The dealership used the vehicle. - no biggie. The sales rep continued to mention that the Evoque was "new." Countered with yeah but it has @ 10,000 mile on it. I ask about 0% interest- was told they would check with Finance Manager. Goes away, comes back - yes we can do 0% but we need to add the $2,000 incentive back into the price. I agree and say to the sales person "I'm fine with $48,995 at 0% interest-let's do it"At this point we go inside and start the paperwork, explained what would be put down, etc. I get the paperwork and now I see that the cost of the vehicle from the sticker to the paper has increased by $10,000, not the $2,000 I was told. I thought this was a mistake so I asked how the value of the vehicle was determined because the price on the window is a lot less. The sales person goes to the vehicle grabs the window sticker and goes to speak to the Finance Manager. Next thing I know, the sales person and the Finance Manager are walking towards me, the sales person veers off course and heads to a co-workers desk area and the Finance Manager sits down to talk about it. Come to find out there was a "mistake" on the window sticker but the correct price is on the sales paperwork. There was no apology offered, the way this part of the discussion was handled was not professional especially for a sales environment. Only the facts - a mistake was made on the window sticker and the price was not correct. Then I was told that this brand does not negotiate money off the MSRP and that at the most they would be willing to drop the price by $500. At that point, I bid them a good day

Must say that I'm surprised that the dealership doesn't have spare tires in stock or provide a loaner while I wait days for the tire to arrive. Also surprised that they don't call to provide updates. As for roadside assistance that was extremely disappointing. During the three hours waiting for a tow truck to arrive I got one message that my service call was cancelled and another message asking how my service was because it showed in the system as completed even though I was still waiting for the tow truck. Totally changed my plans but if they were honest from the start I could have kept them.

Oct 2, 2020 I only can said the service of this dealer is amazing! I was coming from Florida and my Land Rover show the yellow light of the engine in the area of Richmond, Virginia. I call the next day at 8:30am to the service department and Brian help me right away and told me to come at 1:30 pm I was soo happy to hear that so we can continue with our trip to the North. I get there a little earlier Brain right way call Mr AL to take my car to service to see what was the problem. I went for lunch come back and told me my car was going to be ready in 20 minutes more and was ready in 20 minutes!! Sooo happy for the service! If you driving around Virginia Richmond and Have emergency with you Land-rover ! I recommend this place very Much! Thank YOU!!

Professional staff , who really try to accommodate my work schedule and repair appointments. As a certified car owner, I do like the availability of a loaner car as an option as well. This is a great service offered by Land Rover and a smart marketing move as well!

I was in Richmond Virginia for the weekend when I my new Range Rover got a flat tire. I had my car towed to Range Rover of Richmond and was Scott Batwinas was my service manager. You would have thought I was a long time forever client of Land Rover of Richmond. Scott was extremely helpful and diligent. He even went so far as to submit my claim to the tire/wheel insurance company. Thank you Scott for all your help getting me back on the road.Best regardsJim E
